This shop is about 25 minutes away from where I live, and there are a lot of bike shops around my area but i decided to go to this, simply because i saw tons of good words about this particular shop. good service. fair price etc. First time i visited this shop was when i wanted a new helmet, few minutes after i walked into this shop, everyone of them started to amaze me, i realized that how nice these persons are, how patient, professional and knowledgeable is what every other shops should have. Even though they did not have the helmet i wanted (color-wise), Russell gave me some advises if I decided to buy a helmet elsewhere, how generous and selfless!! 2nd time I visited them was to buy a new bike, when I told him the bike I wanted, he was concerned about the size of the bike might be a little bit too small for me , considering my height, I should get something larger, he measured my height and looked at the geometry size charts , compared it to the bike I currently have, and we both decided to go for what's really fits me. I placed the order same day, Russell told me it would take about 4-5 days for the bike to arrived and fully assembled, I paid the deposit then went home. Next day, Russell called me on my phone, well, i thought it would be a bad news, maybe the bike is out of stock or something, but then he said, "Hey I have a good news for you ! , we have the bike and its assembled , tuned and ready to go!" WoW !, he just amazed me one more time, it took literally ONE day from ordering. But I believe this doesn't happen all the time, I'm just lucky enough that Trek just happened to have exactly my size and color I wanted in stock. The bike doesn't come with the pedals so he showed me some very nice pedals he has in the shop and ended up with a pair of pedals that fit my bike color scheme, and ride home with my sexy bike. The fact is, everyone of them is very nice, and I was amazed every time I walked into this shop. Like I mentioned, I love the services they provided, fair prices, and professionalism. Seriously, this is one of the best bike shop you could find in NYC. Don't quote me on that, walk in there and find out yourself. Thank you, Russell. Keep it up, you and your crew are the best. Fist ,let me just say that ADT is by far the greatest bike shop I have been to in decades. The owner, the mechanics and all of the personnel working there are very knowledgeable in their trade and patient with costumers . These guys are full of integrity and diligence, qualities you rarely find these days. I had my bicycle repaired / maintained there for years and they always do a phenomenal job. The last maintenance the owner did not even charge me for it . I bought a Trek bicycle there for my college student daughter and the owner took his time to help my daughter select the right bike that was individually tailored to her specifications. I mean he really took his time, letting her try different bikes and different frame shapes without pushing any particular brand on us. My daughter and I were never felt pressured there and decided to go with Trek . When the bike arrived the owner has assembled and adjusted it for her at no extra cost !!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality experience. Whether you need to buy a new bicycle or repair an existing one ADT is the place to go in the area . The store has been around for decades and has a warm, welcoming, family like "mom and pop" charm. They have great inventory of different types of bicycles including high end brands but at affordable enough prices that serves the local community.

Finding a honest bicycle mechanic/owner is as valuable as finding a great car mechanic. Russ of ADT bikes is just that. I had past dealings with horrible dishonest bicycle store mechanic/owners..(Danny’s Cycles) and was recommend by a firefighter I work with to Russ. I am very happy that I was recommended to ADT Bikes. I just bought my second bike from Russ in the last three weeks. My first bike was a 2019 Trek FX Sport 4 and my second bike was a 2018 Haro Shift LT9 Mountain bike. I am very happy with both of my purchases. Russ set both bikes up with No problems. The Haro had a very small scratch on one of the stickers and he got me some money refunded from the dealer. I am a NYC firefighter and U.S.Marine and all I am looking for is someone who I can trust and be straight forward with me. I never felt that Russ ever tried to sell me unnecessary equipment or the crazy part is he talked me out of spending thousands more on more expensive bikes because it was unnecessary for what i needed it for. Russ was honest and made less money on both deals but made a customer for life. I will recommend all my friends to ADT Bikes. I drive two hours or more depending on traffic (round trip) and pay two tolls and it is worth it. I will only shop at one bike store from now on. Thank You Russ for restoring my faith in bike stores again.

I recently purchased a used bike and brought it in for an inspection and gear/brake tune up. I plan to do a 50-100 mile bike tour soon. After an inspection Russell who was extremely professional and polite informed me of some critical issues. I was never pressured and a few options was presented to me. After deciding to do the work He went ahead and did a whole cable change replaced wrongly placed cables to new proper ones. Also my brake calipers were the wrong size , he went ahead and found some affordable ones which looked and worked perfectly. And i had new tires and tubes put in. Im extremely happy with their professionalism and quality of work. I will not being going anywhere else. Did I mention all the work was done in a day plus re-wrapping of the bars. The price was worth every penny. And he made sure he was as reasonable as possible with the amount of work he did. The bike runs better then ever. Thank you guys at ADT Bikes for your awesome quality work!!!!! PS I purchased a 2 bike through them and they were excellent at prepping it and adjusting it to proper measurements.

7/31/2017 After installing my rear derailleur I found out my crankshaft on the left side was bent. I had ADT upgrade the entire drivetrain on the bike. Crankset, flywheel, chain, front derailleur and shifters. They did everything at reasonable prices and in a prompt and timely manner. Most importantly the quality of the work is top notch. Everything works together perfectly and it feels like a brand new bike. Excellent workmanship at a fair price, and they stand behind their work. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended. ADT installed my Shimano Altus RDM310 and it works GREAT. A noticeable improvement from the stock Shimano Tourney that came with the bike. Great, fast service at very reasonable prices. NOT A PAYING CUSTOMER. And that's why they get FIVE STARS. Russell was extremely helpful and did NOT pressure me to buy equipment that I did not need, when he very easily could have. I am extremely impressed with the staff and their knowledgeable, helpful attitude. I will definitely be back.

Shoot, no room for the sixth star. I walked into the Russell's bike shop for the first time maybe 15-16 years ago with some silly question for which I would be ignored in the most of the bike shops. He spent good 20-30 minutes with me and I walked out with the good bike with the discounted price plus additional discount so now I had the bike and the money in my pocket. AMAZING! Later on I purchased the KLEIN Attitude. That bike have seen more upgrades then the Apollo program. My bike was touched only by me, Russell's Crew and my wife (when vacuuming). Unfortunately, I have serious problem with my back so I really don't know how long I will be able to ride but when I decide to stop I will definitely leave the KLEIN with Russell. Anyway, he spent more time changing parts then I riding the bike. Russell and the Crew deserve a medal for knowledge and a relationship with the customers. If not a medal then pizza for sure.

Arc de Triophe Bikes, now ADT Bike and Skate, is an integral and valuable member of the Richmond Hill small business community as well as a haven for cyclists from all around town. I have been doing business with this bikeshop since my adolescent years, and I can't tell you of a single bad moment there. This shop is great. Russell, Angel and the rest of the employees really want to help you find the right bike for you and are honest about pricing and what you get for your money. I never felt like I was being "sold" a bunch of stuff. As I was waiting for my stuff, I watched Russell deal with a customer who had a number of issues with his bike. He could have easily nickel and dimed him for all the repairs he needed to make, which would have been more than the bike was worth. Russ did a thorough check of the bike advised him of the options, being really clear about what the drawback would be to just having him repair it. It's not often that people will turn down an opportunity for profit because it might not be best for the customer. This is a shop you can go into and know that you'll be taken care of. I'll be getting all my bikes and repairs done here, for sure.

I had a great experience from the beginning which started with a phone call to get an eta on repairs and price. He gave me a rough estimate on the phone and stated there would be no guarantee I would get the bike back that day because it was Saturday afternoon. Once at the shop he gave me options on the gears I needed and gave me an option for a temporary fix on the left gear or total replacement. Because it was a good price I opted to replace. They called me 2 hours later and told me they would be able to complete the job within an hour and would be ready for pickup the same day which was GREAT! When I picked up my bike they had also changed the cables without charging me and also installed a reflector on my bike seat that was missing!! I also received a coupon for parts and a new bike if. Love the service at the place!

I brought my son here to buy a skateboard for his birthday. I could not be happier that we went to ADT. The staff was very accomadating, patient and had a great knowledge about skateboards. They had a nice selection of decks and great quality of parts on hand. We were able to pick out everything we needed and given fair choices as to what parts and accessories we needed. Russell assembled the board to perfection and was very kind with his time and making this a great experience my son will always remember. Thank you for the great service. As I waited for Russell to put the board together I could see the other staff helping the other customers fix bikes and help with parts the same way I was treated. Support this local business.

Patiently worked with me when I was ready to replace my existing bike and helped me choose the right bike for me. After narrowing it down, didn't rush me to make a purchase and, in fact, talked me out of placing a deposit on a bike that wasn't yet available from the manufacturer until the specifications/colors were released. After the bike became available and taking my deposit, called me two days earlier than expected to pick up my new Giant Contend SL2 Disc. Got a discount on the accessories I needed to start riding and took it out for the first time last night. It's a great bike and can't say enough about how knowledgeable, helpful, understanding and patient Russell was - truly a pleasurable experience.

Highly recommend ADT ... wish I could give 10 stars!! Russ was extremely helpful & patient the both times I was in to purchase bikes for my son and daughter this past month. My son got a beautiful Trek bike - I liked that Russ does not push you to purchase something you don't need just to get you to spend more $$$ like some other places will do. My daughter wanted a beach cruiser bike. She needed a special order 24" & this was no problem. She now has the most beautiful coral colored beach cruiser around. And in keeping with ADT hospitality, when I went back to get her tire repaired a month later because she had a flat it was done at no charge. This is a top notch place to go for all of your bicycle needs.

This shop has always been great to me. I've lived in area most of my life, from when I used to skateboard and now that I bike, they've been very helpful and answer any questions. They're very patient and don't make you feel like a total amateur no matter how long or what you've been riding. They also have a great bike selection and even order bikes that they don't have in the store for you. Even if you do buy a bike from somewhere else, they'll service it as if it's their own. Personally, I bought a bike with them years ago and recently they assembled another bike for me both times I remember the service was great and friendly. I highly recommend this place, especially if you live around the area!

This place has been an amazing experience. I just moved to the area and decided to get a bike to stay active and ride at the park. It’s been nearly over 10 years since I got back on a bike and sooo much has changed. Russel and crew have been extremely helpful and patient. Not only did they educate, they were patient to figure out what was the best bike that fitted my needs and get the most comfortable ride. These guys are so laid back and did not rush to make a sale. I will definitely be coming back for any upgrades and accessories since I felt a good vibe at this place. It also feels good to support a local neighborhood shop as supposed to the giant retail shops where you get no personalization.

I remember going into the shop when it was owned by the current owners father. The service then as well as now is outstanding! The staff is very friendly and helpful , and most importantly patient. I don’t know how many times I’ve walked in there and picked Russell’s brain for advice. If the shop doesn’t have what you’re looking for be rest assured that Russell will get it for you. Their work is spot on , I’ve never had to go back for anything after they worked on my bike. Oh , and their prices are very fair. I commute via bike at least 4 miles a day 6 days a week, rain, snow or shine. My bike gets a lot of abuse. Ive been here twice in the past couple of months to repair 2 flats and have my derailleurs readjusted and these guys were great. Russell helped me both times and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. They fixed my bike very quickly and it's like riding a new bike. I will definitely be doing all my business here. The pricing is more than reasonable and they pretty much have everything you'd need for biking along with skateboarding gear too. If you're looking for quick, quality work and excellent customer service without breaking the bank, this is definitely the place to go.

I was in the market for a commuter bike that I can take off road. The staff here is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. I was not pressured into buying just any bike. The sales person (Bert) who helped me understood my needs, showed me 5 different bikes & explained in detail all their features. I was in the store for 2hrs contemplating & researching. In the end I pulled the trigger on a Trek Marlin 5. I put 40miles on the bike after leaving the shop! What a pleasure this bike is and it eats up NYC streets like its candy. I would recommend this business and I will defiantly be doing business again!! A+++ Excellent Customer Service!!

Whoever reads the reviews it's all lies I been coming to this shop for decades since a kid I'm now 45 .all they do is rigged new inner tubes to pop so you buy more and more many people confronted them face to face as I seen it.i got charged 30 just to tighten screws and all cut handle bar? Pfft rip off..saw them whispering...after leaving now my hand brake needs tuning and loose ...my crack is loose to yet everything was tightened.they cool people but not trustworthy because they scam people out of money..one time the owner tried to fight me and gave a big group assault me for no reason.. careful going here I recommend you go somewhere else.

Searched for shops for my daughter to purchase a new bike for the summer and shes getting bigger and bolder. Checked out some reviews on other places around us in the Queens area but the reviews dont match the experience of some of these so called top bicycle shops when you go there in person. Looked up Arc De Triomphe and was blown away by their clean shop, large selection and customer service. I recommend always doing your research and ask questions before committing to a specific place. I also found out they won Best of the Boro of Queens, good for them and they been around for many years. Our new Family Shop. Thank you guys!

I went to ADT to buy a bike today and they had a great selection of road bikes, which is hard to come by these days. Their prices were fair, and the guys in the shop were so helpful and kind. They were able to answer my questions as a first-time bike buyer, but not once did I feel pressured or like I was being upsold. Special shout-out to Angel, who was great! The friend I was with also needed some adjustments to her bike, and they were very accommodating. They even fixed something on her brake line that they found after we had paid without charging us extra. Seriously, these guys are the best. Can't recommend them enough!

Russ and his tram never disappoint! Walked in this week to get my daughter a new bicycle, even though the inventory was low due to manufacturing issues as a result of the pandemic, Russ was quick to point the few good choices left on the racks. I Never felt pressured but instead guided and advised. Russ answered all my questions, we selected a Giant bike, his crew prepped and put it together quickly. They were very patient and accommodating, answered all our questions and walked out of the store with a nice new bike. Happy daughter and happy father. Another 2 very satisfied customers. The people at ADT Bikes are wonderful. I went for the first time when I hit a piece of metal on the road and popped my back tire. Plus my Trek needed some overall TLC in terms of checking the gears, etc. I thought I'd need a full tire replacement - but they confirmed they only needed to replaced the tube, which saved me a lot of money. I brought it in on a Saturday morning and they said it would be ready by Monday. But I got a call later Saturday afternoon that they'd finished the work same day! The bike looks great and rides well. And I really appreciate the care and great service.

The person that helped me was so so super awesome. He was very informative and didn't try to push me on a purchase. I bought the bike that day. The person that helped me even told me to bring it back if I need to make minor adjustments as the bike breaks in etc. I will be doing that today as I already put 100miles on my new bike! Love this place... Will be recommending.

I walked into this place for the first time after having unimpressive experiences in almost every other bike shop in Queens. I could tell immediately that this is my new go to bike shop even though I live in Rego Park. Most other shops have little concern for the riders needs and mainly want to push inventory. As an aircraft mechanic I can recognize a nicely organized shop. Russell is a very friendly, patient man and easy to talk to. Prices seem very fair as well. I look forward to doing business here.

I love this place. Russ helped me out just picking the right lock for my bike and was super patient. He also told me what I actually needed based on my situation and didn't try to sell my the most expensive one in the shop just because I didn't know better. I had bought my bike used online and I discovered that it was missing the front axle. I went to ADT the same day and he hooked me up with the part and a discount. I will definitely be coming here for all my questions and bike needs.

I recently returned from a trip to the Netherlands where i saw Trekking Handlebars for the first time. I knew they were right for me so i went to ADT Bike & Skate to have them properly installed. Russell and his crew are remarkably. Not only are they incredibly knowledgable and friendly, but honest to a fault. Russ and Angel were very professional and knowledgable on bikes. We purchased a new Retrospec women's bike for my daughter.They treated us very well and reviewed the entire gears and brake systems with us. They ensured that our bike was in great condition once we left the store and encouraged us to come back to make any adjustments within the next month or so. Nice people! This is a great bike shop. The owner and his employees are knowledgeable, friendly, fast, and courteous. I go there for mountain bikes but ADT carries everything. They are experts at fitting the individual rider to the right bike. You will feel comfortable and safe when they are done setting you up. Their service and tuning is better than anywhere else I have ever tried. Definitely recommend them.

I walked into ADT Bike & Skate Shop as training-wheeled-bike boy, and I walked out a fast, huckin' MAN! These guys really are "The Last Bike Shop," by which I mean they have fast and friendly service, bikes and boards at all price points, and the staff are all passionate and experienced riders. Easily the best bike shop in NY State and definitely the best bike shop in Queens.

I've been using ADT Bike & Skate for bike tune ups and repairs since I moved to a near by neighborhood. Russel is always very helpful and gets my bike fixed quickly without pushing me to buy new parts. He is very thorough and explains well what has to be done. Once again Rust has help me out with my Bike, I tried two different bike shops that were recommended to me by fiends before finding Rust. I am happy with his service and detail to attention. My entire customer experience was top notch, from my first phone call inquiry, to the way the technician (mechanic?) explained things to me, to my payment for services. Russell was friendly and helpful on the phone and let me know labor cost right away (which was very reasonable). I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area!

Owner is very rude. While there, I saw the owner (Marc) ask someone to leave the store in a very rude way, just because the person was taking too long to decide which bike to buy. I didn't have any issues myself, but I think the way you treat other people says a lot about you as a person. I think not everyone should run a business.

A month ago I purchased a 2018 Giant Fathom 2 in which Russell had to order. The bike was shipped and prepared a day or two ahead of the expected ETA. Russell was very informative and patient. Horrible prices and LIARS went in the shop the other day and it was honestly a small problem but the guy said he need to replace the whole gear and he asked for $200 but when I went to Damon on 112 street he fixed it for only $10 and didn’t have to replace anything big difference. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN

Stopped in to order a lineage series Haro sport. This has been my dream bike from when I was a kid. Russ the owner helped me decide the build of the bike every step of the way in highly meticulous fashion. So friendly, honest and knowledgeable. Why would anyone go anywhere else for their bike needs?

Don't usually post reviews but this bike and skate shop is amazing, great customer service and they also have good skate decks they have all types of decks and even popular brands like enjoi, element, already and more the only downside is that they don't have much sizes. I came at first to get stuff to fix my own bike and was helped quick and when I had a question about an eBike I wanted repaired as well I was given a quick estimate and the next day I was helped within the hour!
