"It wasn't too busy, for a Friday evening"
"It's got a decent selection of produce to choose from, consisting of the brands you'd usually find in an ALDI or LIDL"
"It was busier than normal for a Monday"
"Myself and husband and 2 children been going to Aldi for years same store and never had trouble then when the manager approaches my husband and 7 year old son in the middle of the store infront of other customers and says I seen u put something in ur pocket the other day when I looked at the cctv and my husband said well maybe my phone but I always pay for my stuff we never stole in our lives or our children he just walked of that's degrading and will not enter another store until we get an apology"
"Worst Aldi store I've ever visited! I tried to retrieved an item from a shelf that 'Yvette' was stacking and was snarled at as though I was getting in her way! Furthermore, a man was sat right outside the exit door with a blanket and stereo begging for change"
It wasn't too busy, for a Friday evening. Shop was well stocked, but I struggled to find the vegan products - coleslaw, yoghurt and filled pasta. I wish they were all together... Anyway, it was all okay. I had a nice young woman on the checkout... But the Deputy Manager kept talking to her and distracting her, so she had to stop scanning my stuff twice - trying to get him to back off. It didn't even work, when I told him to look after his staff. I think Aldi treat their staff really badly. Their job is hard enough as it is, without Deputy Managers pressuring young staff. Get rid of this Muppet and put in place someone that does actually care about his team.
It's got a decent selection of produce to choose from, consisting of the brands you'd usually find in an ALDI or LIDL. The isles are noticeably cramped at times which is most due to a combination of its popularity, width of the isle and also the layout. I found myself navigating around some bottlenecks which wasn't pleasant, especially when there's screaming children running around. The last thing to say is that the random tat isle was not nearly random enough. When I go to an ALDI I expect to come home with the shopping and something I never realised I needed.
It was busier than normal for a Monday. All 6 checkouts were on. The colleagues are always polite and answer any questions. They deal with customers quickly and efficiently. As a former experienced check out operator and a runner at one of the largest supermarkets I appreciate Aldi's standards. Their staff need to be able to do everything in the supermarket. This ranges from filling shelves, cleaning, assisting public when needed to helping customers and of course serving. All in all they provide an excellent service
Myself and husband and 2 children been going to Aldi for years same store and never had trouble then when the manager approaches my husband and 7 year old son in the middle of the store infront of other customers and says I seen u put something in ur pocket the other day when I looked at the cctv and my husband said well maybe my phone but I always pay for my stuff we never stole in our lives or our children he just walked of that's degrading and will not enter another store until we get an apology
Worst Aldi store I've ever visited! I tried to retrieved an item from a shelf that 'Yvette' was stacking and was snarled at as though I was getting in her way! Furthermore, a man was sat right outside the exit door with a blanket and stereo begging for change. I overheard somebody say that he's not homeless but is infact an addict that lives locally and that he's not the first addict to be allowed to sit outside and beg customers! Overall a very uncomfortable and disappointing shopping experience!
This Aldi is so congested as compare to customers shopping in there.. I have visited this aldi for 4-5 times from my work to way home and I always left with incomplete list of grocery as compare to other Aldi I do visit. As they have high demand they should expand and keep stocks ready. This point needs real evaluations as I clearly suspect it is being ignored by management and being implemented same stocks as other stores. Needs special attention...
Everyone loves Aldi, probably because they have such an assortment of things you would normally not buy. Canny. Prices are still within budget so that's a positive. Gorton Aldi staff are as usual helpful and cheery. So please remember if you cannot find what you believe you cannot live without don't blame the staff. It's up to you to go to the right shop. Thank you all in advance for treating all shop staff with decency. and ️
I have been using Aldi for past 8 years it was my worst experience as self check out it doesn’t say if you’re allowed to take trolleys or not or it only for baskets and the manager is worse than the staff doesn’t know how to deal with the customers I was in line for 10 min with my trolley When my turn to go on self check out till one off the staff said it only baskets allowed and I was a long line go there to line again for 10 min
Just love my local Aldi store on Lloyd St Manchester. Only thing I would ask for is more open tills and available staff on shop floor (because you're going to get thousands more customers once you make yourselves present on the shop floor). Other than that, big Thanks to all the staff. That works there, you are kind, friendly and very helpful. I hope that 2016 and beyond brings you excellent success. Wayne
Utterly appalled at how crowded the store was today, despite the traffic light system (I can't imagine that was operating correctly with the amount of people inside). What's more, there were at least 10 people not wearing masks, or wearing them on their chins, including staff who were walking to and fro chatting to each other as they passed right by customers. Did not feel safe at all, and will not be returning.
Rude staff. I entered the shop before closing, but because my shopping took a few minutes after 10 they did not serve me and the manger kicked me out. And a guy who was not working there and was manager's friend behaved very aggressively towards me. I left my shopping baskets inside the shop and they didn't give it back to me. The worst experience with Aldi! I will make a complaint Mr. Liam!
Lots of great Xmas food. Just hope it will still be there nearer the day when I'm ready to buy mine. There was no 2 litre size of semi skimmed milk left so had to buy a giant one Still cheaper than anywhete else. Oh and at the entrance there was a lovley choir singing Xmas songs which really helps put you in the Xmas spirit. Limited choice for early teens presents and no Xmas wrapping paper!
A good alternative to the new Aldi at the retail park but parking is just not sufficient and only one trolley park so get your hiking boots on if you end up parked down the far end. On the plus side, the staff are friendly and helpful and there's a decent range--maybe a bit too much non-food /special buys in proportion to the actual ranges. All in all, not bad.
Amazing store. Looks very conjustsd from outside, but spacious inside. Quality products at rock bottom prices and felt really like value for money. Just loved the frozen jumbo prawns, vegetables and ready to oven food ranges. Sadly, quality of fruits is not at fair. Been here many times, couldn't pick any fresh fruit so far except a few oranges from a pack.
Well, it's Aldi, it's conveniently located, it has a reasonable choice of products at reasonable prices. My only real complaint about Aldi is they don't have a self scan or a 10 items or less aisle. It's a bit of a nuisance if you go in for a sandwich and find yourself stuck behind queues of people with trollies piled high while your lunchbreak ticks away.
Perfect location for the perfect store. All your essentials available as cheaply as possible and the quality of the produce is virtually faultless too. No wonder Asda is suddenly looking so much emptier these days when you can get more or less everything Asda stock at a fraction of the price, all on your door step too. P.S. do you have any jobs going!? :-)
Great value and quality, friendly and helpful staff; once I forgot my bank card at the till and I was halfway through the car park when the staff who served me at the till brought it to me- he could have decided not to bother and wait that I come back for it, but he did bother and it saved me worrying when i realise I misplaced it- thank you!
Unfortunately staff are far too busy scanning the items at the tills, no-one warns customers to keep a social distance in the queue. The woman behind me in the queue was literally right behind me almost touching distance:(( In the end I had to tell her to stand where it's marked, her response was "it's ok luv"!! What is wrong with people??
This place is CHEAP. The food is not terrible and ocassionally brilliant. The cashiers have backed off a bit on the relentless pressure to get you through the queue and out if the way, making the whole thing less panicky. It can't be your only shop because there are loads of things they don't have, but they make it worthwhile in the price.
Update: they've recently refurbished the shop, clearly labelling sections and making it MUCH easier to get around. Bizarrely seem to have kept entire stock and actually added lines despite there seemingly being less shelf space. Recommended! Original review: Good quality and so cheap. I do most of my shopping here. Staff are sound too.
Super prices on selected items, they also have a great fresh fruit and veg section, worth selecting the loose bananas as they are better value for money. Light on staff but they are friendly and super efficient at everything they do! Always look out for the special buys, which are random but a bargain when you see something you like.
Yo this store has some buzzy stuff in it (why does this store sell tortilla warmers). It's kind of hard to navigate but you eventually get used to it. It had almost every thing that we needed bar a few items (Again it sold tortilla warmers but not a zip lock bag or chopping board). Solid selection of groceries to pick from …
The shop was laid out exceptionally. Staff were both friendly whilst maintaining a strong air of professionalism. Despite being honestly rather hungover from a slightly heavy night before, the shopping experience was smooth and concise and that is testement to staff and management. Thanks from four utterly satisfied customers.
I am a regular customer of yours and every time I buy the pasta packages after a few days the wheat weevils appear inside the package. Can you do something about it? I have the shelves invaded by the heat weevils and I assure you that I will pay a lot of attention in sanitizing the shelves in which I keep the pasta. Thanks
+vs Nice place to visit Busy most of times Free parking Comprehensive prices Negatives They did NOT let us buy bulk of food for our charity, staying we buying lots cheaper food from Aldi.. Confused Their own brands are still not as good quality Store and parking is not enough to handle busy staurdays and Sundays
Hands down the one of the best mall in Manchester. There's a large variety of foods and products here. They've even got a good selection of vegan foods, halal food and kosher food. The special offers and sales are great for people looking for a bargain or cheap groceries. They have quality and genuine products.
I go in here alot as it's near by but find the selection not as good as other aldi stores and alot of the fruit and veg is mouldy so you have to be careful what you pick up. Personally I would rather not shop here given the choice. Staff are always lovely and chatty. It can get very busy here on the weekends.
Aldi has everything your after. We normally do our weekly shops here, they have branded stuff as well as their own brand! I would recommend going early as possible as leaving it till late is normally quite busy and there is less stock. Although you do see they have deliveries throughout the day!
I'm getting sick of the security guard here... Never wears a face mask, but tries implying it for everyone else to. Constantly trying to start with my mum when she goes, doesnt seem like he wants to he there at all... Iv complained once before & il continue to do so till something is done
Great store, always well stocked and the shelf stackers go about there tasks without interrupting your shop , quick and efficient till staff and the manager is always on the ball when it comes to getting more tills open when needs be. The staff are friendly and always willing to help.
I am very happy from Aldi because I found best nappies at affordable price from here, their vegetables and organic eggs are fresh at very affordable price but remember they dont let you shop in your bag, they'd ask you to put all items in their shopping basket which was kind of rude.
If I could be a spokesperson for Aldi I would be! The staff are amazing, friendly and quick. Has 99% of what you need and all at a great price and generally great quality. There is very little I can say which is negative. I am constantly surprised by the amazing products they stock.
This place was so much better before the renovation. Since it reopened there's hardly any specialbuys. I literally haven't been able to find one thing that I've seen advertised online whereas before I could find 99% of it. The food specialbuys have dramatically reduced too.
Whatmore one can comment about this paradise supermarket placed in Moss Side,Manchester. This place is value for your money and almost 3/4 stuffs are Aldi brand. I bet you will save some extra buck's shopping at this place compared with other high street Supermarket. Bravo
No trolleys or baskets when I went. Staff member said every Aldi is in the same position, damaged or stolen. Well HQ, how about you buy some more. How do you expect people to shop in your store if there is nothing to put their shopping in. I left and went to the Asda.
Terrible staff, especially the managers. What brain dead idea is it to close all tills and have one open for close? Leaving self checkout and one till completely crammed. Meanwhile other tills are lazily closing 5 minutes before closing for no reason at all
2 main tills in . Queues people with trolly full of items . Plenty of people having to wait a long time for a couple of items. Great doing self checkout not great when you don't have your card on you as unable to pay with cash. Defo won't be going again
Have been shopping at ALDI for many years so was delighted when it opened in Fallowfield. As only round the corner in there more than at home as my husband says ha ha. The staff are excellent very helpful and happy bunch. Pleasure to shop there. …
A solid ALDI with an excellent middle aisle. Keep up the green work with that top-notch battery recycling! Great bike stands in a prime spot at the front of the store, I enjoy lording it over motorists, who have to park around the back haa.
This is a great location. A good selection of food at great prices and it is all fresh.Plenty of space between the aisles. It is right next to the 44 and 150 bus stop on Lloyd St. South in Fallowfield. Love it. I will shop there again.
It was very busy when I last visited on a Sunday morning. Having said that, you do find that there's a great selection of food and fruit in this store. The cashiers always serve with a smile even though it can get quite hectic.
Fabulous store with so many products everywhere, I like to be very organised and buy what I need so having to browse is not easy. I prefer to have common sense shopping whete things that are related are located near each other.
Good service, very friendly staff, good quality products, I honestly can't complain about the products because non has dissapointed so far, but above all very cheap products. With a small budget you can take home quite alot.
Local store, friendly staff and hella cheap items. I got all my cycling sundries and a weekly meat shop with some papaya (they were on their weekly fruit deal) for £27 that included cycling shoes and a pump. Great staff
i went to this store 5 or so years ago and a women with her 2. children was in line behind mr and they would not stop beating me with a bat because i was fat, took me a year to recover from that and some therapy
The last few weeks there have been no trolleys and you have to wait for the limited number available. You tell the staff and they just shrug and say they are all in use. Will be changing my store from now on
Most of my experiences at this Aldi branch have been good ones. The staff here are extremely helpful and pleasant and a few of them even stand out for their great customers services and hard work. Thank you.
I went in yesterday 29 April 2020 and I have to say the young man on the till was very polite and friendly. He made my day Aldi should employ more staff like him. He is an excellent addition to their team.
Since we have started to shop at Aldi..we love shopping our groceries here. Before I wasn't sure of their own brands. But they are good at quality and cheaper at prices than any other leading brands.
A good range of food and great prices. The staff are nice but some of security guards are quite rude and follow customers around the shop and even accuse people of stealing food when they haven't.
They took away all the trolleys which has the baby space to sleep. They have only 1 amd everytime you go it at the end of all the other trolleys...like whatever are mother with babys meamt to do
Aldi Fallowfield is a small outlet compared to other Aldis I have visited. Good place for a quick pick up of milk, eggs, bread, vegetables, frozen stuff, etc.. They do not have a bakery.
Lidle has the only cola tht is 2nd best to coke/Pepsi at fraction of the price ... And has slightly less sugar per 100m then coke so if you want to save a bit of money their cola is fine
Very good Aldi, and after the recent renovation well organised. It is though relatively small in terms of floor space, so as it's very popular it can get quite busy and at times cramped.
Great prices, nice staff, unfortunately often very long queues particularly at peak times - it would be good if more staff were available at these times. But can't argue with the price!
Busy well stocked store and has self pay/pack area. Skimmed milk is bit of a rare thing and some healthy food options could be better...gluten free is very poor like pizza etc
Only use ona very rare occassion never has anything hardly left in the way of fruit n veg. Not a very atmosphere rude customers and some staff are rude as well
It's not as bug as Asda but you can buy most daily stuffs in Aldi. I like the 'Super six' which food in cheap price. Staffs in Aldi are nice and helpful!
So many items out of stock and for quite a few weeks. Your six special offer is quite bad. No real deals or vegetables to buy. I don't visit aldis much.
Brilliant staff, always welcoming, showing there people's skills, like shopping at my local Aldi, keep up the good work guys, from a satisfied customer.
Standard Aldi, been done up a bit and has doors in front of most of the fresh produce. Still good value and good products. Friendly and helpful staff
Getting overpriced as everything, rude staff and they are too lazy (ornunderpaid) to stay open as listed. Better to order online and from elsewhere.
Alaeddine was very friendly and helpful. His customer service is the best, he helped me whilst helping other customers. What an efficent employee!
Prices are excellent and you'll find almost everything you'd find at Asda's or anywhere else although they don't have donuts or a proper bakery .
Excellent superstore the staff are always helpful and help me if I syruggle carrying things. Security is faultless and also very kind and polite.
Not enuff baskets for customers sick of asking. Its everytume you go in they at self service tills and then have to wait for them. PATHETIC ALDI.
Medium size grocery convenience store. Good option. Many self checkout machine. Spacious parking, however less shopping trolleys at outside.
Easy-go-to outlet, within the Neighborhood, easy parking, flexible shopping time, able to get basic household consumables at good prices.
Everything you would expect from a supermarket. Fresh pastry is nice especially the warm tarts. Clean and tidy but can get busy at times
The main reason I go here are the staff, they are so helpful and friendly. The store is well laid out and most things are easy to find.
A great selection and variety of foods at a very good price which is not expensive. The staff are really friendly and helpful. A 5 star
Always gwt what we need at Aldi.we did go rather late on a Sunday afternoon so some items had sold out. Lady on the till very pleasant
Very nice grocery store where you can find maximum variety of items of your choice and also at the cheapest rate! Highly recommend it.
7am opening on Christmas Eve. Only a few customers. Well stocked shelves. Self scan tills worked great. A great FAST shopping visit.
Only been there once so far. Seams a decent enough supermarket. Fairly good variety, good prices. Didn't wait long at the till.
Stock is often low for certain products which can become annoying. It can also become really busy at times. Staff are friendly.
A very good shop with lots of variety. Easy on the pocket too. Convenient location and friendly staff are other pluses.
Very good food and friendly service and a small restaurant. It is one of the few nearby that is open late afternoon.
I like Aldi because it is cheaper then other stores in UnitedKingdom..it has different varieties alot of things..
Great prices great quality helpful staff, great selection of meat.shame there's not better items in the middle.
Decent aldi, runs out of stock alot but it's busy. Best to get there early in the morning or later at night
A great place to shop . At a normal cost compared to other places. A good place for the right price. …
Standard Aldi, doesnt have all that much of a range as is not a full size supermarket, but staff are good
Great shopping, Good value for money. Everything you need these days when the cost of living is so high.
Always stocked with fresh produce and helps save the pennies which adds up to make savings of pounds
Great produce, a lot of different products to choose from and even thoughtful about not wasting food
Anything you name it you will get it there and the staff in this branch is cooperative every time.
It's an aldis.. What else is their to say Staff are polite and helpful recommended …
Earlier used to be a cheaper option than other supermarkets but now price is all similar
Excellent place for shopping. High quality. Reasonable prices. Fruit and veg so fresh.
It is good but they don't have fresh bakery and it is always ran out of grocery …
Great value on fresh fruit and vegetables and also the meat is great quality and value
Love their bakery items specially chocolate crepe , chocolate chip bread …
Truly great store low prices tremendous quality a must go for living on a budget.
Good selection and competitive prices. Fast check out. Long opening times.
It's been a while, I didn't went to the store, but getting very busy now
Great store, it's clean and tidy. The team working there are all lovely.
It's Aldi ,it's cheap ,it's efficient , it's German. Plenty of parking.
Great store and staff. Very efficient. I will come back. Good products.
I love aldi but the prices are really shooting up quick at the moment
