My daughter loves going to camp here every year. The camp kids swim every day. We like to go to family swim too. The outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable temperature. Its not too small and I believe it goes from 3 feet to 9 feet. My little baby likes to play in the sprinklers too. There is a small playground with a swing set as well. (It seems to be getting harder to find Chicago parks with swings). Overall this park is usually pretty clean. The parking lot is small. The hoops on the basketball court are all there. It's right off the Dan Ryan so super accessable by public transportation.

Abbott Park is a nice neighborhood park that's very active all time of the year. Yesterday I was at ended a friend's High School reunions. Abbott park has a great Senior Center, a field house, updated playground closest swimming pool. This park is utilize I like by The Neighbourhood and the Chicago Park District give free proof events there which is really nice including movies in the park

Senior Satellite Center, CEDA, GYM, Dance, Lunch, Karaoke, Line Dancing. Bingo, games and much more. Mrs. Naomi is sweetheart and she was very patient with me and made me feel welcome. She completed my Benefit Assistance Application for me and waited for SS to fax over the information she needed to complete my application in order for me to obtain my FREE RIDE PERMIT. Great job Mrs. Naomi.

The people that work there is professional and have a great bedside manner. Also, Abbott Park has plenty of things for seniors and people with disabilities to do, such as line dancing, exercise on equipment, playing cards, field trips, playing cards and if you just want to meet new people and socialize etc...

I was impressed with this park. Especially at 7pm night time. My Brother along with other men coaching young boys in football. The lighting was great, the ground was grassy. I enjoyed watching the coaches teach these young boys and their desire to learn the sport.

I went to Abbott park for a special performance that the park district was offering. The event was excellent and the lunch that was included was really tasty. The atmosphere was really nice it is so few places that we can go and enjoy ourselves now .

  • Ruth Eiland

Park was very dirty, weeds growing under the slides and monkey bars, dirty pampers in the middle of the play area just awful conditions for children, I refused to allow my grandchildren too play here. Maintenance was terrible and disappointing.

  • Kimberly Williford

I visited this park this summer for the free movies in the park series offered by the City of Chicago. We took our lawn chairs, bug spray and popcorn. It was like going to the drive in. They had clean assessable rest rooms. Good family fun.

Not the best park. Spoke to a worker who was rude. Walked away and called. Got someone who was much better. They invited me back and answered them. Simple questions should not be that hard.

  • Priscilla Johnson

Nice large quiet park to take children or just take a walk. It has a baseball field and a basketball court. Also, a field house. Next to public transportation and several restaurants.

The "Perfect Park"! Large, full & free! As Abbot means the superior of a community of monks(many of live like monks!); & from one of my favorite languages,Aramaic, means father!

I went to the Sherwin Williams plant next door. 20 minutes for a Drop and Hook. Google Maps thinks I was at Abbott Park and won't leave me alone until I post something.
