The glass panel on one of my windows was broken and had to be replaced. I called to see if they could repair it ASP! It is getting cold and I needed the window back the same day. They told me to to bring it in and they could do it. The gentleman that took care of me was courteous and professional. He helped me get the window in and out of my car. And when I told him that I would come back when the work was done, he asked for my number so he could call me when the work was done. It was probably just half hour later when I received the call that the window was ready for pickup. I was so happy, because ten minutes after I got home it began to rain; but it didn't matter the window was back in place. I am about twelve minutes away from this hardware store and I am closer to the Home Depot but I have to tell you in the past when my family and I have not had any luck locating hardware or help at the big box store A-Z has been there for us. I highly recommend this place, I'm so glad my sister found it.

If i could leave a -0 star review I would. The person at the front desk recommended a plumber that was according to him "reliable" but I would soon find out that was a lie. I spoke to the plumber who said his name is Jose this guy is a joke he was not prepared at all with any tools he works for 2 to 3 hours max at a time and he doesn't know what he's doing. He literally said the job was done and turns out he didn't fix a thing then, I found out that ACE Hardware recommends this guy as long as he buys the necessary tools from them. The landlord ended up providing some new pipes for him to install and turns out he "installed" one (he didn't) and he stole the rest. I later found out that he has done this same kind of half-a$$ sloppy "work" to other people.

I used to really like the convenience of having a good neighborhood hardware store right around the corner. However the employees do not seem to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. No one was wearing a mask when I was there recently and the owner used “breathing difficulty” as his excuse. If you have breathing difficulties that are so severe that you can’t wear a mask then you are at high risk if you get COVID and should stay home and let healthier employees work (and wear masks to protect others). Inexcusable.

I visited after hearing good things about this location for years. Sign in window says they repair window screens (confirmed). I wanted to know the size (measurements) of the shopping cart on display. The young man behind counter said the box was in the basement and measurements were not available. It took too long to be acknowledged and offered service. I'll go back for the large selection of items and window screen service. High traffic area. Street (metered) parking. Be prepared to walk.

I'm from out of town and a manager at a True Value hardware store in LA, CA. This was my first hardware store experience in Chicago and cannot say enough about the great customer service by Paco. I needed a screen made and he came across with flying colors. Not only will I refer all my relatives in Chicago but I will also be back next time I'm in town. Great job!!!!

I walked in to buy a specific item. I was looking for it for a while before I found it. No one offered any help. There were lot's of men standing around. A couple of men were speaking so foul. Which I understand horse play and all. But not in front of customers. They probably didn't think I understood Español. Bad customer service.

Old style tiny store, with goods cramming every square inch. The sort of place that will sell you one loose bolt, instead of a poly-bagged set of six. Parking can be tough, and speaking some Spanish (I can't) would help IF the 'old senor' is minding the till.

Good place to stop in and grab something small, no Home Depot, Menards, or Lowe's close to our building out in rossevelt and Cali. But there is a White Castle so I don't mind doing work orders in the area.

Superb I love the patience attendance they have for the customers love the mom and pop hardware stores where people care about your problem and help fix it this is what the big chains are missing out

Opens at 9 AM. It’s 9 AM and nobody is here. Gates are padlocked and store is dark: Wanted to support this store, but you guys aren’t open. I don’t like Home Depot but what choice do I have??

Like a toy store for any DIYer. The staff knows what they're talking about and can show you what your looking. Great prices, great selection, great store.

The store is sm all but is compact with a great array of items. A note the only parking available is in the street
