Update to my earlier 5 star review: Food quality has really gone down of late. Was there last week, ordered poussin, chooza and keema chapati. The poussin chicken and chips were mouth searingly hot with flavors not balanced properly. Chooza wasn’t up to the mark, and neither was the chapati. With Hashmi coming back in sometime soon, Adams had better to their game, and fast! Earlier review: Adams barbeque took over from Hashmi after their mombasa branch shut down. For all the lovers of Hashmi's incomparably famous "chicken chooza," here's the good news; Adams comes pretty darn close to the real thing! Other dishes include kababs, mishkaki, a great selection of fries, naans and drinks. There's lobster on the menu as well, but it's quite on the pricier side. Other menu items are quite reasonably priced. Oh, and the kids play area has thankfully been retained by the new owners, so that's pretty great as well!

The place is well located near fayaz bakery, Plenty of parking space. I was told during holidays or Eid occasions its normally packed and there is a queue for a table. Avoid those. The food was so yummy..we ordered fries,chicken (chuza) kinder a charcoal grilled with spices. Soft nuns and chicken kebabs. Fresh orange and tangerine juice. Price is friendly and affordable..not a pace to break a bone for. Highly recommend this place for dinner and lunch I will definitely go back again. Below at the picture was my damage..hhh

They are friendly and good people

Place to dine or have lunch with your friends and is located in town. Convenient to get to. The only problem is the food takes long to be served. On couple of occasions the order gets mixed and the wrong order comes on the table. The chicken tikka once came charred burnt black n kebabs were burnt too. Will i go back there? I don't know!

Food was awesome. The ribs were bomb good! Chooza was delicious! Portions were great Service was normal Awesome fact: They gave me a lot leftover bones to take home for my dogs. Con: It was like 10:30pm and they wanted to close so they began taking all the tables & chairs away. For 10 minutes it got pretty noisy listening to all that screeching & moving around. That was unprofessional & basically a sign to eat fast & leave Something funny is the kuku leg we received. No meat on that All in all, decent & would return

Very poor service, we had to wait for so long to get our order. The manager had to interfere in order for us to receive our order. The tables were not properly cleaned and they smelled of sea food. We had to call different waiters to get what we wanted. Horrible service, I wouldn't recommend it when you are hungry and need to eat asap. They are kid friendly despite all of their annoying service.

Went there a few minutes after 10pm. Tangerine juice was the best juice ever. Lamb chops were super, served with freshly cut lettuce and 3 sauces (tamarind, chilly and one very nice one that was whitish. We also ordered chicken tikka for take-away. Very good food that we could have enjoyed more jad we come without kids and a bit earlier coz we realized they close at 10.30pm sharp.

One of my favourite BBQ joints in Mombasa. I loved the buttered Poussin chicken.

Great place for great barbecue.... Good service and a good ambience.....fast and friendly service.... reasonably priced as well and the quantity and quality of food was excellent.....

An excellent eatery place with vegetarian and non vegetarian options of foods Best chicken chooza and Poussin not to to mention eat in services.Very clean and safe to eat at for travellers due to their good hygienic facilities.No restaurant matched Adams Barbeque. Kuddos for keeping up the quality of the food and service

A very good restaurant with very helpful staff.. And the food is really really good.. We had ordered the BBQ platter and chooza chicken.. Both the dishes were very very delicious, tender and juicy.. The tangerine juice is really good too.. Will definitely want to go there again if we re_visit Mombasa..

Tried both in-services and delivery.Was happy with both. Amazing food as always with great sauces. My favorite so far is the chicken wings. PS: if you don't like chilli in your avoid, tell them in advance, because their chilli is extremely hot.

First time try based on others review. But really good. On the road search you will Miss it, small door then goes up flower to terrace, fresh and tasty . Liked the mix more than tikka.

The place is set in a beautiful open sky surrounding and relaxed atmosphere whereas foods are freshly cooked and quickly served, they taste great and the portions are generous and are served by friendly and attentive staff

An excellent place for barbecue lovers with both open air sitting and air conditioned indoor sitting and a kids room to keep them occupied .. also good desert options and of course one of the best grilled food in town

Cozy place and good for kids as there is a kids play room and under full supervision. Most of the dishes are spicy so if you're not a spicy eater then I wouldn't suggest this place. The chicken kebabs were delicious.

Delicious food and good portions. Poussin fries were quite spicy but delicious; the favourite was the lamb chops.

Today's visit all the tables were occupied but despite that, the quality of food never ceases to amaze..best were the lambchops spicy, soft and sumptuous. Deserves 5 stars.

Best lamb chops in mombasa, portion size is also big. All of the stuff in the menu is pretty decent .
