This is a lovely shop with beautiful toys, trinkets and furniture. I bought some Lego and a sweet little duck yesterday. I've shopped here many times without complaint, I have a mirror, shelving and have bought Maileg mice, clothing and accessories, my keyring is a pewter sausage dog from here, lots of cards, ornaments, Lego and Playmobil gifts. Yesterday, the assistants were grudgingly helpful, the person who served me looked like she hates being interrupted by customers, she told me should would have to check whether she could sell the duck due to it being in a cup in a window display. I was also surprised by the price of a small paper bag. 50p - didn't check if I was happy to pay that amount. A few words from the assistant would have explained that these are charity bags. I left a Google review (replaced by this one) and the reply from the owner was that this is explained on the receipt, he couldn't have known that the assistant asked me if I needed the receipt and I declined. Matthew also went into a long charity shaming spiel in an attempt to embarrass me. His response only confirms my view that this is a very middle class shop with a sniffy attitude to customers. Rather than accepting criticism or that they may have got it wrong, he tried to make me look foolish because I hadn't read a receipt that THEY didn't give to me. He also denied that the person serving me was not welcoming, friendly or interested in scanning my items. She wasn't dreadful, she definitely was disinterested. Both the assistants were more focused in unboxing a large delivery of Lego than taking my money. Again Matthew was defensive in his response, singing the praises of this person and implying I must be difficult by referring to the "hundreds of positive reviews they have". Matthew needs to realise that I was there, he wasn't, so I'm completely uninterested in his conjecture about the interaction. I've also seen Matthew's responses to the less favourable reviews and each one is defensive. It's such a shame that as the business owner he has no interest in learning from unhappy customers. I would have been happy to shop there again if Matthew's response had been helpful but I'm afraid the arrogant, berating tone in his reply will ensure that I never shop at After Noah again. When using this business consider whether they will help you if you have an issue, or, whether they will try to charity shame you and berate you based on their suppositions rather than the reality of an interaction.

We purchased some lovely G Plan furniture from After Noah in September this year. Throughout the whole experience it was a pleasure dealing with After Noah. Simon in particular provided updates regarding our order whilst it was being built by G Plan. Even better, our furniture arrived about a month earlier than expected and is here before Christmas, something we weren't at all expecting based on the time of year that we made the purchase. We took a bit of a gamble by purchasing this furniture online via After Noah's website without seeing it in person, and we are so pleased with how it looks and feels. It really is excellent quality. The furniture was delivered by Celtheath on behalf of After Noah, and the delivery team were on time, polite, and professional. They made getting the furniture in to the house look easy! After Noah's aftercare service has also been top notch - friendly and accommodating. This whole experience has been an example of how to get customer service right. Something that is increasingly hard to find in recent years. A big thank you to the After Noah team, G Plan, and Celtheath. I recommend them highly and am sure we will be back in the near future!

Who wouldn’t want an evening of fun with Anthony Luciano at his Sip & Stitch workshop held at After Noah in Islington…….. in the beautiful surroundings of their Green Room. A friend and I did just that recently. We were welcomed by the wonderful After Noah staff with complimentary “adult beverages and delicious nibbles” …which continued to be served throughout the evening. Meeting Anthony one is instantly made feel comfortable. The vast selection of leather pieces and colours to choose from were dazzling. Under Anthony’s guidance and with great flair we progressed step by step making our handbags. Must say felt rather proud of my handiwork and now another “personal” piece added to my collection. One can see the artist and passion in Anthony and an evening in his company is delightful - just the tonic. Marie SHERRARD

Such a lovely experience shopping and purchasing from After Noah. We had been considering a swyft sofa bed for a few weeks after moving into our new home with a very narrow doorway. We wanted to try the sofa in person before ordering and so came to After Noah where we were warmly welcomed. Firstly, the store is absolutely beautiful full of carefully curated pieces. The assistant gave us a full demonstration of folding out the sofa, answered all our questions and reassured us on the purchase and order details. Upon contacting the online team, i received a timely and helpful response and the sofa was delivered and assembled and fits so perfectly into our space. I was really impressed from start to finish with the service we received and I can’t wait to add more pieces from the store to style and warm up our new home!

A lovely shop with great stock. However, my experience was greatly affected by the staff who were shockingly unprofessional. They were all huddled together chatting, and when I asked them for guidance on some items, was met with a cold and blunt response. They seemed to have a delivery come in that excited one of the girls who more or less pushed me out of the way to get to it (turned out to be a soft toy of some sort). There is a really weird vibe from the store staff - they seem to believe they are more superior than their customers. Very weird. Really put me off spending any more money in there. Note: I have just seen the response from the business to this review - it’s exactly the smarmy response I expected!

Bought this Swyft Sofa from After Noah and they are great! Our house is a ground floor flat with a very narrow entrance. We couldn't buy a normal sofa because it wouldn't fit through the corridors to take it to the living room. We were still worried that this self assemble sofa wouldn't make it through either but it did! It's very clever that they made the longest part of the sofa design no taller than the hight of the door, so when we propped them up it just when through the door, through the thin corridor and into the living room without a problem. Super comfortable sofa too, and we are really happy with it! Our new puppy loves the sofa too! :)

I bought the three seaters 05 about two weeks ago and it appeared on my doorstep on Friday.Yes it is beautiful and yes it is comfortable.I was a bit anxious about the assembling but it took 7 minutes onlyp, with the help of an experienced neighbour. They were really busy in the shop when I paid for it so it was a bit rushed. My grandchildren are fond of the place and managed to get lovely presents which although not cheap are of excellent quality. They enabled me to access finance and to select the precise delivery day. My friends are paying me complements faster than I am paying monthly instalments! We recently bought a Swyft Model 04 couch/sofa bed from After Noah and love it! We actually went to the store before to see the couch before making the decision to purchase and the people working at the store were friendly and eager to help. If you're considering a Swyft couch, After Noah is a great place to purchase it from as they have a large selection to view in store as well. The sofa bed is sitting beautifully in our living room and was quite easy to assemble. It's also comfortable to sleep on – more comfortable than other sofa beds we've tried.

A surprise find! The shop does not look anything special on the outside but it’s a different world inside which stretches to a greenhouse part which sells all kinds of gardening-related gifts and even a basement that stocks all kinds of furniture. This shop sells all kinds of gifts you could ever think of - from toys and board games to candles and jewellery, not to mention books and stationeries. Literally it has something for everyone and it’s like doing a treasure hunt whenever I’m visiting the shop.

We would like to say a massive thank you to you and everyone at After Noah for the friendly and wonderful service you provided. Everything from the price reduction, the help in ordering, the draft emails, the video of the chair, the phone calls, the storage of the goods at your warehouse and even the arranging of the transport has been absolutely beyond what we expected. From London to Vienna with nothing but expertise! Highly recommended and we would definitely use them again without hesitation!

We love coming to this store and finding presents or unique home decoration, we just bought this sofa which arrived promptly, we were able to try it out in the store and see all the material swatches and get feedback from the staff. Despite some issues with fabric availability which was solely the problem caused by Swyft (sofa manufacturer), the ladies at AfterNoah were incredibly helpful, particularly Flossie who kept us updated throughout the entire process, highly recommend coming here

This is one of my favourite shops in London - I always used to buy toys but didn't know they had furniture too. I lately bought a Swyft sofa from them and the customer service was excellent. The stuff was the most helpful, friendly and positive ever, explaining all options and offering me free switches with colour options etc. They helped me measure and figure out the right size model and were very patient with my indecisiveness! Best shop ever - definitely going back again! :)

I bought Swyft sofabed model 4. The team were excellent with communication about order and delivery. It could take up to 2 weeks for delivery but I had asked if they could expedite due to a family event and they tried their best. It was delivered in two days. The sofa is comfortable to sit and sleep on. Really happy with the purchase. Only thing is that there is a lot of packaging. Other reviews suggest that packaging was taken away but I wasn't given that option on delivery.

Fantastic treasure and gift shop upstairs with half the level given to delightful children's items such as handmade puppets. Downstairs is where the workshop is located and all of the gloriously restored modern, retro and vintage furniture along with appropriate decorative items - we finally left with the map of London on our umpteenth visit. Stop and read the note about the store's heritage and the current third generation owner. Well worth a visit, time and time again.

I try to support the local shops whenever possible. Today I tried to buy a bath toy for my grandson. The item on the shelf was priced at £39. At the till the item was priced at £43. I disputed the difference. We went back to the shelf where one item was priced at £43 and the other at £39. They refused to honour the shelf price!! On principle I walked away. The good news is managed to buy same item on Amazon for £37.99. Karma. Be careful shopping here.

I only became aware of After Noah when looking at locations you could view Swyft sofas, and had a great experience there – they seemed to have all the Swyft models, and samples on the different colours available (which I could take home). I did this on the Sunday - the sofa arrived on the Thursday, and was super simple to assemble myself. Will definitely be going back as they’ve got some lovely stuff in the store, and really helpful staff too.

I got in touch because there was a very slight delay in the delivery caused by all the supply-chain problems that everybody is experiencing. After looking at endless awful sofabeds, someone recommend the Swyft Model 08. I wasn't going to buy something without seeing it, so came here to take a look. I'd never been in before, though had gone past many time. The shop itself is a treasure trove, full of gorgeous furniture. And the staff could not have been more helpful. Loved the size, look and comfort of the sofabed, and it looks great in my room!

I asked Matthew and Oscar to restore an attractive old desk that I'd purchased cheaply but turned out to need much TLC to mitigate decades of wear and tear. Oscar did a really good job on it, relining the drawers, correcting the runners and repolishing it so that it gleams as though it were new. It's a pleasant surprise to find craftsmen who work to a standard in London to-day. Definitely good guys!

We recently moved into a flat with a very narrow stairway, leaving our furniture options limited. Great company to deal with. I ordered a sofa and they were honest about the likely lead time but it was delivered sooner than expected. The whole process was swift and easy and all questions answers over the phone and also promptly via email. This is a lovely shop. It is a great place for kids. I used to take my son to the toy part when he was little which was like going to Aladdin s cave for him. I hadn't been to the shop in a while and found some fantastic early Christmas presents. Interesting choice of items on sale and the staff were friendly.

Swyft sofa purchase. We recently bought a pair of Swift 02 sofas in vine velvet from After Noah. They came quickly (as advertised), were pretty easy to assemble, and look really good in the sitting room. And the main point - they are very comfortable and give better support than our old sofa. I go there before Christmas every few years as it is such a lovely shop to look around. even if you don’t buy anything you come out feeling better than when you went in as it’s so enchanting. It does get very busy at times but people are polite and swim around each other well.
