Used the text to pay option, redirected to website, registered and paid, clicked out, went to my credit card app, showed purchase pending(took screenshots of registration and credit card account). Left the vehicle, came back less than 4 hours into the paid 10 hour block and my car had been towed. Called the police, was directed to Criswell Towing, stated car was towed at 1510, payment time on credit card was 1446, Alamo Parking canceled my payment and had my car towed. Why.. read all the other reviews that also were sent to Criswell towing. Cost to get car out of impound with the same card that I originally purchased a parking pass with, $233. Showed the lady at the impound yard the transaction on my card for the original parking pass, she told me to take it up with Alamo Parking. However, they would not provide their client at Alamo Parkings contact information, and you won’t find it online either. This is simply a review of my experience with this parking lot company. I strongly recommend you to look into other reviews and you will see similar stories.
Remember, pay attention 2 your time and your receipt from the app. They bump your cars with there bodies, check the doors 2 see if there open. These people are very shady. I have sat and watched them. If the car is not completely hooked up, by Texas law they have 2 drop your car and you do not have 2 pay the towing fee. If your car is all wheel drive like my Subaru. Those cars have to be towed with wla flat bed truck. Not regular tow truck. You have right to fight them if they do damage to transmission or down the road has issues.Yes towing and parking are the same company. They sit in black trucks and walk around checking the cars. They recently towed a small school bus 4 little kids. I mean that is just insane.they could of called the number on the side the bus and ask them what was going on. Smh.
Parked near the Alamo and the number listed to text and pay was not working, our texts kept failing. I tried to scan the link to pay and it was not working either. We were about to miss our group ghost tour so we parked the car and went on the tour (it was after 9pm and only a few cars in lot). We thought we would figure it out after the tour. When we got back our rental car had been towed to the creswell impound yard on Laurel street. 3 hours waiting in line because they were giving us a hard time getting the car out because it was a rental and $230 fee. The girls there were rude and horrible. I fell in love with San Antonio but this incident changed my mind about it. A simple parking ticket would have sufficed. Or, better yet, make sure your payment method is working properly.
Poorly displayed signs about the pay-parking. Truly awful, though, was the lack of any signs informing where a vehicle will be towed to! I understood the towing policy, did forget to pay, was willing to pay the fines to get my vehicle back, none of that is in question. But I did not know where my car was! No number or website or address to take care of it. If I hadn't had a GPS tracking device on my car, I wouldn't have had any idea of where to go. I ended up having to leave my mother with my two young children at the lot in order to go get my car and pay the fees. $220 later, I was able to pick them up and we could go home. I wouldn't park there again.
We were paying customers for 3 days and on the last day, my family and I went out to check out of our hotel, our parking ticket had expired by the 30 minutes and the car was already gone, towed. It was Easter Sunday too. They wait outside to see when you’re ticket expires and tow it as soon as it does. Went and got my car from the tow yard, the tow yard says they don’t work with the parking lot owners, only the tow truck companies. No accountability, nobody to talk to about customer service. They’re terrible to their customers.
When to this lot at 9:27 am put in for the 12 hour parking and my tag number as the meter requested. The meter said I was good until 9:27 PM. The ticket did not print. I came back to get my car and it was towed and cost me $219 to get it back. This place has nothing posted as to who to contact to see if you where charged and no attendant. This place is a racket. I tried to call the phone number for Alamo Parking that the towing yard provided on my receipt. The phone number is not even for them, it's for Zurich International.
Parking in downtown San Antonio sucks. Since the prices seems to be regulated they all charge about the same. The pop up of electric pay boxes and absence of an attendant leave a lot of people to be confused. On the plus side, you can pay with a credit card now. Most of the lots look run down and are tightly packed. You're not going to find many with security, restrooms, or protection from the sun. Park at your own risk, and don't leave anything in your car that you want to keep.
Just had the unpleasant dealings with this in San Antonio. These Alamo lots are in a scam with Creswell towing and Vehicle management solutions. Paid through the text to park link and didn't receive a text confirmation. Car was stolen by the above mentioned companies and because I never received a receipt text it cost me $230 and a damaged rental car. There is definitely a scam going on here and the city of San Antonio needs to investigate this!!
I am here righ now, and machine did not give me a receipt. I am doing a charge back with my credit card. There is no phone number to reach this place. No attendant, and I looked.wasted 45 minutes of my time. I feel scammed. Went a half a block around the corner and paid $5.00. I called several numbers including visitors centers, and no one could help. Certainly a bad impression for a tourist, first time here. This business rots.
The negative reviews had me worried but I had a great experience here. We spent 4 full days at nearby hotel and left our car parked here. We didn't have any issues. I renewed our parking pass everyday and was sent a reciept via text message and email. $30 per day is a little pricy, but they are upfront with their prices. We agreed to pay it when we parked there. I have no concerns parking here again.
Good location but... We paid for 24h with a crédit card and the machine could not give us a receipt. So we made like the others drivers, we put a message handscripted with the hour when we paid, with the plate. The car has been towed. 219$ later, the same machine gave us a receipt, but did not accept the credit card. We'll contact the company in a first time. To be continued...
DO NOT PARK HERE. We paid via the text system, went to pick up our car the next day (said we still had 3hours left) and the car had been towed. Our hotel said it happens quite often- feels like a money making scam! We then had to get an Uber to collect the car, $250 later plus stained windscreen as they wrote numbers in white paint that won’t come off. Avoid where you can!
Paid for parking, had receipt and left. Came back 2 hours later (parking was for 10 hours) and car was gone. Turns out it was towed. After several phone calls I found where my car was and they returned it free of charge. Do not park here. They are running a scam where they try to pressure you into paying towing fees even though you paid for parking.
This location is NOT AN IDEAL PARKING SPOT! Who ever owns this location needs to have better business practices with signage that is big enough to read. People having their vehicles towed away. Reading the other comments on this site just ex pounds, that the owners need to be out of business along with their associates that tow the vehicles.
Like many others, if I could give them a negative number I would. I put my card in the machine entered all my details, flashed up on the screen saying no receipt would be given but my parking was paid for 12 hours please remove my card. Two hours later my truck has been towed and it cost $220 to get it back. What a rip-off. This is robbery.
BE AWARE! The tow car is just waiting for 1 min of your parking to be over and will tow your car. Park somewhere else! They are predatory! Alamo is presumably part of the scheme. Took me 10 min to renew the parking and my car was gone, they were literally just waiting on the lot with the towing car to charge you extra! Be aware!
The machine did not give a ticket (receipt) even though it said remove credit card and thank you. Keep trying because if you don’t have a ticket the transaction didn’t work and you will be towed. Unfortunately there’s no 0 stars to give a review. We were lucky. Car was being towed and driver did believe us and dropped our car.
DO NOT PARK HERE!!! We paid through the app and took a picture of our plates to provide for the app and still GOT TOWED! We still had over 4 hours left over when we went to recover our vehicle from the impound and still had to pay the fee. They said our plates did not match the receipt we were providing. We were robbed
Don't trust the 5 star reviews they likely are written by the gangs of thieves that will rob your car if you leave it here. The issue with receipts not being printed is fraud likely perpetuated by the owners of this land and are also likely working with the car towing service that tows cars without receipts. Fraud
Do not park here.. I thought I paid via Qr but was an ad. My car was towed so I am pretty sure they work together with the towing company. The tow truck just circles the parking lot looking for unpaid cars. Go do real jobs not steal money from people trying to see history.
Do NOT park at any Alamo parking . They don’t print receipt and they have no phone number to call to report an issue. IF you contact your bank they can try for a refund but obviously they can’t refund if the stupid Alamo parking company has NO way to be contacted.
Aside from the fact you only offer 10 hours for $20 or all day, you charge a "convenience fee " of $2. You only accept credit cards! If you give the option to pay in cash and I choose not to take it, okay. You give no option. Drive around the corner. It's cheaper.
Abuso, desinformación y corrupción evidente ademas de que existe un claro contubernio entre dueños de los estacionamientos y dueños de corralones y gruas. Lamentable el trato que le dan a las personas que ocupan su servicio. Caro, deficiente y enfatizo ABUSIVO
Parking Scam! We paid with a credit card for 10 hrs of parking and returned well before that from shopping. No apologies and we had to Uber to this lot to pay for our truck. This is the line if people waiting on their cars. Do not park with these scam artists.
The machine is “rigged” and you WILL be towed. It would NOT process our card or give us a ticket. So even though it said Thank You, it didn’t complete the transaction. NO WHERE does it say that you MUST get a ticket to prove the transaction is complete.
No receipt to display on dashboard was provided by the machine meaning I paid for nothing. This place is a scam. You can't call for help because they don't have a number to call. Do yourself a favor & look for a different public parking.
Paid $22 for 10 hours of parking. Car was towed when returned 4 1/2 hours later. Cost $230+ to get my car. Phone number provided for thetow conpany is disconnected. Filing complaints with everyone possible. DO NOT PARK HERE!!!!
I forgot to put my receipt on the window and they towed my truck....maybe a warning will help ..all the sighs say . just to pay not to display receipt... that's jus another way for them to get u ..so watch out my people..
$15 for 12 hours! Seriously? We only needed to park for a couple of hours. Why not offer a 6 hour option for $7? We were from out of town and so we didn't know of anywhere else to park. I felt totally taken advantage of!
I don't know whose bright idea it was to make parking spots that are blocked in by other parking spots. Just looking at the map of it you can see a white truck on the eastern side of the lot is blocked in by other cars.
15usd for 12hrs. Not a bad deal. Nobody was there to take care of your car. And I did see someone trying to look inside a car through the window. Take all your valuable stuff with you, if you want to park here.
We park in these lots and garage all the time. 3 lot options to choose from and one parking garage. Park once and your 1 block from The Alamo and 2 blocks from the Riverwalk. Tons of options to shop and eat!
The machine was "broken" and wouldn't accept cards but would gladly take cash while giving no change so better hope you had exact payment or your over paying. Plus it was just a really small tight lot.
Paid with credit card and the machine DID NOT give a receipt back. There's no number you can call to report an issue like this. DO NOT park here unless you want money thrown away. HORRIBLE place!
Don’t park here! They break your windows and rob your stuff! And when you call the people from the park they don’t answer don’t the phone!!! Do not recommend this parking space at all!!!
A le mérite d’exister mais c’est hors de prix: 20$ pour 10h et on ne peut pas moins! Le système de paiement par téléphone fonctionne parfaitement ! Bien situer par rapport à Fort Alamo.
Like all the parking spots here, a big rip off. $15 is minimum parking, no human staff at the spot to help but they will make sure to tow your vehicle in every 15 mins. Big rip off.
Truck was stolen! This place doesnt provide any type of security either by way of cameras or staff that monitors vehicles. Close to Alamo but I wont be parking their again.
"The car parking was not bad, but the parking fees were too high. They could offer hourly parking, which would be beneficial for those who need to park on an hourly basis."
This is not actually public parking. If you have military plates that allow for free public parking, your car will get towed leaving you stranded with your small children.
DONT PARK HERE!!! Text to park doesn’t work. You hit submit and it goes through, but then later get a message it doesn’t go through. Then they quickly tow your vehicle!
We got parked in because they crammed too many spots into their lot. The machine on the lot was down so we had to do it on our phone, which I don't like to have to do.
They should have 3 hrs or 6 hrs option for parking, so if someone needs to park for a couple of hour don't need to pay for 12 hrs the 20 dollars (as a minimum option).
Actively attempting to catch you unable to pay and then TOWING YOUR CAR. Ours wasn't there for 20 minutes before it was towed. A COMPLETE PREDATORY OPERATION.
Paid and verified on my CC. No receipt and no number to call. Police say they boot and tow and I should work it out. Very fustrating
Viel zu teuer, Service schlecht. Wurden dazu aufgefordert, nochmal zu zahlen, obwohl wir ein 24h Ticket hatten. Nie wieder!
Minimum purchase is 12hrs @ $15, we parked during the day, no break-ins noticed, receipt printed properly.
Overpriced and not secure!!! Had a laptop stolen right out of my van. Punched in the lock and snatched.
The one machine that worked out of the 3 didn't provide a ticket. No number to contact for assistance.
Do not park here at all had to pay over 200 just cause I forgot to pay after 20 min when it expired
I paid $15 for a 12 hour parking and they still take another 12 hour out of my account. Rippers.
Tight spaces but ok price. Very close to everything. Can pay with card.
Only two price options $20 for 10 hours or $30 for the day.
Quick and easy walk to the Alamo, not too expensive either.
Close to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Convenient. Self pay.
Only 2 price options $20 for 10 hours or $30 all day
You'll have a spot just a short walk from the Alamo
The machines dont always work. Very spendy.
Our vehicle was burglarized Saturday night
We paid our parking and they towed it!!!!!
I parked there, my car was not stolen!!!
A friend and me went through the Alamo.
