This review is for the Saturday islamic school in this masjid. This seems like a very poorly run and secretive program and I would not recommend sending your kids here. As a moderate Muslim with children who have grown in the US I felt very uncomfortable with this place. I went in on a Saturday to tour the school and sit in a class with my young children. Someone pointed out the Sheik and I wanted to speak to him but as I approached him, his female spokesperson came to ask me how she could help. I was literally 6 feet away from the Sheik and could have communicated with him myself but I think he preferred that females communicate to him through his female assistants. As least that’s how it felt. I explained that I was new to this masjid and was interested in their Saturday school for my young children. I emphasized that I wanted to sit in their classroom to get a better feel for it. The assistant said that I could NOT do that because parents have been disruptive in the past and interfered. Then I was introduced to Leena, who came in acting like she was ready for a boxing match. She was very unfriendly and harsh. I asked her again if I could sit in the classroom for a bit to get a better idea of how it’s taught and to alleviate any anxiety my children may have, as it was literally their first time there. She first said absolutely no and then said maybe for “3 seconds.” She agreed to give me a tour during which I saw overcrowded classrooms of highly bored children. The youngest classroom had 25 kids and 1 teacher. In the end of the tour I was asked if I wanted to register my kids for $50/month. Leena said there is no refund policy if the kids do not come back. I asked why we couldn’t just do a trial run this time and then decide if I wanted my kids to come back and she said we had to register to “legally” be allowed to attend. Here are my issues with this masjid: - The instruction for the children seems very secretive. They do not allow any sitting in. They don’t have a clear lesson plan or appropriate instructors. This is a red flag. I would never put my children in a classroom that does not allow me to come in and watch, at least once. - Teachers seem to be volunteers and not actual teachers. - Classrooms are extremely overcrowded. - Sheik seems uninterested in communicating with a woman. - Staff do not know how to welcome new members and frankly seem uninterested in it. I think that because the classrooms are so overcrowded, the staff do not want any new students.

I stopped and prayed here with my family during our journey. I make it a point to take my family and visit the masjids that come up in our journey. It’s important for our children to know that Islam, Muslims and the masajid of Allah are everywhere. I hope my children remember this when they get older and travel with their families. May Allah bless this community and everyone who populate and support this masjid.
Small mosque. Imam's Qirat was good and a small lecture on Seerat un Nabi. There is a place for Women to pray. Friday and Saturday 5 to 7 PM Quran class for children. Outside parking is available. Jumah prayer at 1.30 PM

I was traveling and I was very lucky that the mosque was open. I couldn't find the entrance and called the number where they suggested where the entrance was. Thanks!
