This review is specifically for the tent camp sites. First I will say why they revieved the 1 star that they did. They had several very nice and helpful employees, the bathrooms were clean and the place as a whole seemed very well maintained. Now let's get real. There are 4 campsites stuck at the back of the grounds. They aren't near the pool or anything for children. All night long, all you hear is loud highway traffic. The night we arrived, we set up camp and the wind later became very strong. There were several empty rv spots which were protected from wind by a fence. We called the office, offered to pay more for one, they said they contacted the people who booked those sites and they were coming. In 2 nights and 3 days we were there, those sites never filled. That night was terrifying. We were told by the office to "use extra stakes and secure our tent poles with duct tape or go get a hotel" and "welcome to albuquerque" all in the same sentence by a young arrogant kid. Our neighbors purchased a tarp and rope and we used our very expesive rain fly to block wind and moved both of our tents into the pergola. Although extra money was spent, both the rain fly and tarp were ripped, we got scared for our children and "slept" in our car. But let there be no mistake, 45 mph wind, no way compared to the highway traffic for the remainder of our stay. They simply need to move the tent sites and build fences around each site. You are basically stuck in the center of a gravel filled roundabout, completely exposed to all weather other than the roof on the pergola, which I might add, that they tried to kick us out of until a very nice lady made the call to let us stay in. She also came by to make sure we were okay. They need to give people like her a raise and fire that punk kid with the bad attitude.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this KOA location also positively surprised me. It was my second stay at this brand ever and wasn't sure what to expect, not that the first was bad at all. The campground is gated which is awesome as it is located pretty close to city center. And close to what looks like some apartment buildings. Being close to the city is great for grabbing food or running errands. What I love about this brand is how they've treated me as a solo traveler. I arrived pretty late (after hours) to this location and was surprised to be greeted by the night manager who explained how to get to my spot and the codes to the bathroom. Communication was incredible as they had already texted me the gate code to get in to the property seeing as I was arriving later. They also had changed my spot but for the better. I felt quite a bit more protected and had more privacy than the spot I had booked. I was only there for one night so I appreciated the upgrade. And once again, the hosts were super friendly and helpful as I did go in to meet them the next morning to "check-in" before leaving. And the bathrooms here were SO CLEAN. Overall I have been super impressed with these campgrounds and while they are on the pricier side compared to other options (as a tent camper), I will most definitely be camping with them again.

We stopped to visit this KOA while in Albuquerque. We had stayed here a few years ago, but, with the increase in their prices, we gathered that improvements were made, and wanted to check it out. We had just stayed a couple of months at a KOA, RESORT rated in Arizona, and were curious why a JOURNEY rated would charge as much for a deluxe patio site. We still don’t understand why. The RESORT rated Tucson Lazy Days has the biggest RV leash free dog park. Albuquerque has a postage stamp size dog park in comparison. The RESORT KOA has 2 beautiful outdoor swimming pools, both with hot tubs, water falls, and tasteful furniture. They have numerous small dog parks throughout. Additionally, there are Pickle Ball courts, complimentary fire pits, a restaurant on site that delivers to your RV, if you opt not to dine with in. They also have a large pond, coupled with a nine hole chip & putt course. I just don’t understand how a JOURNEY rated KOA has the audacity to charge resort prices, when they haven’t the capacity to offer resort amenities. I do think the Albuquerque KOA should try to upgrade their designation to a HOLIDAY. They do have a lot going for them compared to other JOURNEY rated KOA. There prices don’t mirror what customers receive. Other than the spectacular Balloon Fest, Albuquerque is still the home of “Breaking Bad” and the “Truck theft capital “ of the US, so there is no excuse for higher prices merits location.

I haven’t arrived yet, but will be soon. I was searching for an RV park that could accommodate a longer term stay. I will let be in the area for work. I wasn't having much luck at all. Really I was having NO luck. The individual I spoke with was incredibly friendly and got to work fast for me. At the time of our first conversation she informed me that there weren’t any “for sure” sites that would be open for the time frame that I required. She followed with reassurance that she would do everything she could to accommodate us. She did everything she said she would do. She must have picked up on my anxiety related to not having anywhere to stay while I will be in the area and was incredibly empathetic. She stayed in contact with me while she worked her magic, which really helped to subside some of my worries. She called to let me know she and the manager were working to rearrange a few things and to make sure that I was kept in the loop of information as it was available. She then called later that evening to let me know that they were able to work things out and ensure that my family and I have somewhere to live while I’m in the area working. I don’t think they understand how much I appreciate their help and friendly and truly helpful demeanor. As stated, I haven’t even arrived and they have left a very positive impression on me. Thank y’all for everything you’ve already done. It’s appreciated.
Update: the general manager called and was unable to do anything based on my comments below. Sounds like this KOA is owned by the corporate KOA and not a local owner so the GM's hands are basically tied. GM, I think, was just checking a box by calling me. Adding a level 2 EV charger is not a priority and my "primitive" cabin was basically a "you asked for it" since normally it's not cold. I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee to charge my car for a certain amount of time at one of their empty RV lots but paying full price for an RV night is ridiculous. Original review: Stayed in the more primitive cabin that sleeps 4. Spent over $600 in lodging. Nighttime temp around 20 F on the coldest of night. A TON of cold air leaks in through door and window. If you like highway noise to help you sleep this is a great place! Hot tub was cold (unusable) one day and closed the next. Putt-putt was dirty and run down; taking a broom to it would do wonders. They wouldn't let me plug in my electric car into a 50 amp to top it off before we left unless I paid full price for an RV lot. I would think after spending over $600 they'd at least let us do that.

We stayed here twice, a week apart. It was a very nice park. The sites are close but still comfortable. Very clean, very nice staff, informative and helpful. The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean as were the store and restrooms. It was a great experience and the staff waived and smiled every time they drove by. They pick up your trash from your site if you leave it at one end or the other. It was a great experience. Highly recommended. Enjoyed it. Are located near a highway, but it wasn’t noticeable. It was quiet to us. You do have to drive through an area with a lot of homeless, but once you’re in the gated park, you won’t even notice. They have security. Felt safe and would stay again! They also have a mini golf course that we didn’t look at or see, also, a bouncy pad thing for kids. Mine are too old, so we didn’t look at that either. Check in during the day while the office was open was easy, but it was also easy when we arrived after hours on the second stay.
We Travel all around the world for work and K.O.A in Albuquerque has been one of our absolute favorite places. The parks location is stunning! Waking up every morning with the excitement of being humbled by beautiful mountains that look like a painting are an incredible experience for the family. At the same time the employees do not tolerate disruptive behavior and will quickly handle the issues. Which is nice if your looking for a respectful place to visit ,long term or short, and not worry about the people around becoming a problem. Definitely in our future to return and look forward to seeing everyone again. Staff treated my family with respect ,was extremely polite and professional rent is kinda steep but we felt it was justified with 24 hour patrols by security, gated Entrance as well as a perimeter wall all the way around the park. Loved this place.

Very nice, especially for an urban campground. Highway noise from adjacent I-40 was moderately loud but was more like white noise than a major distraction. We felt very safe here. Although we arrived late and were blocking the road until we got the code entered and got through the security gate. I wish we had arrived a bit earlier so we could have had time to enjoy the amenities - the pool looked very inviting. We especially enjoyed taking nice long showers at the nice bathrooms here since we were coming from camping at the Grand Canyon. The mountains in the background are rather nice to stare at. Night skies were not really a thing here, though, given the urban light pollution, but we hadn't thought they would be.

This was our first stay here and let's just say that the neighborhood coming into the park was sketchy. Luckily, it's gated after the office closes. We had a neighbor who had 3 dogs who barked for hours after hours. I texted and called many times to the after hours # and received no response. We paid for a Premium Pull-thru site, not premium at all!!! It was just a long site with no trees and gravel on each side. For that we paid almost $100/night! Most expensive place we have stayed at other than an amazing site in Moab, UT. This place was a massive disappointment! On a positive note the pool was nice, unheated but nice. Other than the minor children getting in without an adult and being loud and obnoxious.
Great stay 2 nights! We were traveling with our 35 ft motorhome with our mini in tow. And my Mother 22 ft moving truck with her Traverse in tow. There managers were Awesome in letting my Mom park her moving truck and SUV inside their security gate Overflow parking area for free. My mom and her 2 dogs stayed with us in the motorhome. So appreciative of their accommodations in not having to pay for 2 spots like every other park made us do. Thank You So Much!

WOW!!! This is a KOA journey but let me say… it checks all the boxes for a KOA holiday. I was truly amazed as this park was actually nicer, cleaner and better laid out than some of the upper scale KOA’s (Holiday) that we have stayed at. The staff (oh how I wish I could remember her name) was absolutely phenomenal. So helpful, so friendly and so kind. It’s employees like this that elevate a business and keep the public returning time and again. Now a special kudos to the owner for going the extra mile on your park. As I said before, this screams KOA Holiday. Looking forward to staying here again! Paid a little extra for the private pet pens but well worth the cost for my fur babies.
I forgot to take pictures when I was here. I stayed here 3 days for Gathering of Nations pow-wow, staff was nice, they have night time security, gated to get in after hours, clean bathrooms although one set of bathroom/bathhouse was closed for remodeling, the pool was also closed even though it was mid 70's and 80 degrees one of the days, the hot tub didn't work my last night there, I liked the fact that this KOA did not have gravel driving in...its paved throughout the park and also the pull through sites are also blacktop paved. It's easy to get here from the freeway and although it's in a sketchy area I felt safe. Overall it was a good visit.

We stopped in on our way through the area. The campground itself is clean and the office staff was very friendly. They provide curbside trash pickup service which is nice and many of their sites have private dog pens with astroturf and shade structures. It is tight maneuvering and there are many full time folks living here but everyone was polite. There was significant traffic noise from the highway. The internet service was very slow. Make sure you bring drinking water as the water is very poor tasting, basically undrinkable.

I have been using KOA RV camping for years now and have always had great experiences with their staff. However, this time I had a bad experience at the Albuquerque KOA. I had made a reservation for both an RV site and a cabin, but upon entering the cabin, we found it to be very dirty and stuffy. It took us a while to find someone to address the issue, and when Jason finally arrived, he told us to leave if we didn't like it. This experience made me and my family feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I would not recommend staying at the Albuquerque KOA based on this experience.

Very nice KOA. We had an asphalt site (#108) and all the hookups worked well. We were near the bathhouse and it was clean and offered private bathrooms with showers. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the updated fixtures. They store was open only if you wore a mask to enter. Per New Mexico rules, you also needed to wear a mask if outside and walking around the camp. The staff was friendly and professional. I got good cell service on both AT&T and Verizon. They also have cable TV available. I highly recommended this KOA.

This KOA is amazing. Solo tent camped for one night a bit ago. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Gave great restaurant suggestions. Met my only tent camping neighbors and they were a lovely couple. So I can always say I solo tent camped on a mountain in New Mexico. ( your state has several insanely long freeway sections with NOTHING but road lol. Bring a pass bucket, people, to make it between these long sections. Seems a bit unsafe perhaps after dark, outside of the KOA and lots of freeway road noise. But I heard wolves or coyotes howling and they put me right into like a 12 hour deep slumber.
Horrible Horrible! We took our basketball team for a positive experience, they got judged harassed the entire time by the staff! The boys could have been out drinking fighting and getting into trouble, but instead they went with us to the KOA for 2 days to have good clean fun. Thank you KOA for making this what was supposed to be a positive fun time…. Into a very negative experience!! They felt so judged and like they were bothering everyone! We rented 2 cabins and a tent spot! Never again! I can’t believe they got yelled at for singing in the shower. Your team is very overboard and very rude
I wish I could give more than five stars! Very nice, super clean, and the best customer service anywhere! We stayed in a deluxe cabin and the second night we had trouble with the heater coming on even though the thermostat was all the way down. When I told them, they immediately offered to move us to a new cabin. When I said we were only staying one more night and it wasn’t worth moving, they gave me a discount on my stay. Every worker we encountered was helpful and cheerful. They deserve at least 10 stars!!!

I enjoy camping in the middle of nowhere with my family. We rented a cabin here because it was way more affordable than anything else during the balloon festival. I was very impressed. The staff was very pleasant and the park was clean and well maintained. I felt safe for my family. It is gated and there is always someone cruising in a golf cart keeping an eye out. The check in process was seamless. I was not impressed with the up-charge for the festival. The cabins are well organized and clean. The bathrooms and showers are clean. I would recommend. Little kids had a blast.
Great place to camp mainly if you don't plan to stay long. If you're looking to camp in the wilderness, this is not the place since it's by the freeway. However, I would come back mainly because it is a nice spot and the staff was very friendly. The only issue was that the hot tub was closed due to bad weather, but the weather wasn't bad at all. I'm not sure why it was really closed, but it wasn't a big deal.

This KOA it’s located right off the interstate it was easy to find. It’s also gated which was nice. It’s big rig friendly and we stayed at a pull through site that was very spacious. The staff was very welcoming and led us to our site in their golf cart and helped with parking. We did not have sewer at our site, but had 30 amp and water with good pressure. Bathrooms were very clean. Dog area was nice for our pug. It felt safe, and the facilities were really nice. It’s very close to everything and I would definitely stay again. Loved waking up
Very nice place. This was our first time at a KOA. We had a late check in but they were very friendly and accommodating and escorted us to our spot. This place has so many things for the kids, or kids at heart, to enjoy. Many different options of stay and hookups. There's a pool, hot tub, mini golf ⛳️, go carts of some sort, jump thing, etc. Bathrooms are clean and RV spots are easy to get in and out of. If in the area, we would stay again. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay. As you can see in my photos, I had the pool all to myself.
This KOA was one of the best I have stayed at for being in the city of Albuquerque. It had a gate that closed after hours which I thought was nice. Everything was clean and all sites were level & weed free. Hookups were in good shape too. This one was added to our favorites list.

We've been to this KOA location twice for 2-day stays. We really enjoyed both stays. The location is right off Route 40, so it's quick to get on and off the highway. The campground has a security gate, which I definitely appreciated at night. Our spot was easy to get to, very long so we had no problem with our tow car, and it was very level. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We will definitely continue to stay at this KOA when we're in Albuquerque.

Dog-friendliness
They have the typical K-9 dog runs, plus we observed many sites that have individual dog enclosures, that was a first for us after many KOA stays
I honestly have no idea why anyone who stayed at this KOA wouldn’t rate it a 5 star. I stayed here for three nights and I was constantly pleasantly surprised with how nice the facilities are and how kind the staff were. The spa was the best one I have tried out of all the KOA’s I have stayed at. The showers had amazing water pressure which is a big deal for myself and I generally and throughly enjoyed my stayed. I would rate this KOA 6 stars if I could. Looking forward to coming back and staying again.
It is a beautiful KOA. One suggestion and one complaint. Suggestion, dog run in back chane to a chain link fence. The dogs pee on the wood one and it smells. Complaint. Someone had there music really loud. It seems when we went in from sitting outside, with our window and doirs closed, they seemed to turn it higher. It was hard to hear our tv. I know quite time is 10 but music should not aloud to play that high. They man who stopped to talk to them should have had them lower it. Otherwise great park.
Not pet friendly unless you pay an extra $60+ per night. I couldn’t afford that. The spots have sharp rocks, no patio area and no shade for $115 per night. The staff was okay and flamboyantly nice , when we asked questions. Laundry was expensive ($2.50 wash, $2.00 to dry) per load. Tight turnarounds and curbs everywhere. One extra star for pull throughs.

Shout out to the young man who was working at the front desk. We came a little after closing time. He was getting ready to leave. But, he took the time to check us in and guide us to our site. Much appreciated! The place is in Albuquerque, very close to several amenities/facilities. The park itself was very clean and well maintained. The dog run was spacious and clean. We spent just one night there, but would definitely recommend the place and go back there.

Good : - pool was still open, clean, and heated - hot tub was hot and clean - mini putt was in good shape - WiFi when working was super fast Bad : - site was narrow and not level - WiFi didn't work for 4 of our 6 nights - small laundry room with only 6 machines (5 working) - overpriced RV sites Awful: - the neighborhood is very dodgy !!! - encountered man shooting up on sidewalk 100' out of the camp gates - needles on sidewalk beside campground - many homeless people in neighborhood
Their monthly rate is good . Their nightly rate is a bit ridiculous. With their location the cleanliness of things like showers, laundry room. I don’t know the last time the laundry room was cleaned. It was never cleaned the month I was there. Floor really needs mopping. They should have paper towels in by the sink so maybe patrons could or might clean up after them selves. Their little store doesn’t really offer anything but a few drinks, ice cream/ popsicles and souvenirs.
Probably the nicest KOA that we've stayed at so far over the years. The office staff were really polite and courteous. The campsites are easy to pull into with a truck and trailer. The grounds look properly maintained. The freeway noise is blocked pretty well by the concrete divider. If we need a place to stay for the night next time we pass through I'd definitely see if there's a spot available.

The campground was nice. The restrooms were aweful. When you walked in the main door the smell of feces was overwhelming and horrible. There was 4 individual rooms all unisex. The toilet, sink and and shower were together. The drains were located away from the water flow from the showers so water running from the mats outside the showers pooled right in front of the toilets. Yuk. Wouldn't go back for that reason alone.

The staff who greeted us when we arrived super late were wonderful. BUT.....that's unfortunately where the good ended for us. This is in a super sketchy part of town (as confirmed by the staff), the bathrooms smelled so bad we literally didn't use them, and they sold candy made to look like Breaking Bad drugs in the camp store. CANDY, that looked like DRUGS. I still can't wrap my head around someone thinking this was a good choice. Not a business I would support again.
We stayed in one of the cabins and our only complaint was the AC was horrible. Even running the AC full blast with 2 additional fans the cabin stayed hot. The staff acknowledged the units just couldn’t keep up with the heat but we have stayed at other cabins with no issues so they probably just need to update their HVAC systems. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Oh my gosh this place was pretty amazing. We were there just one night. We didn't get to explore the park much. Everything nwas incredibly clean. They were pretty full and the sites are close together. The park is cool, but I gave it 5 stars (would give it more if I could) because of the night staff. Talk about a phenomenal couple of people. It was a guy (a veteran I believe) and a gal. They checked us in, were up all night patrolling, cleaning, etc. We felt 100% safe.
The price was right, and the cabin was perfect for us and our two dogs. There is an off-leash dog area, a 24 hour hot tub, and other nice amenities. All the staff were so very friendly and helpful. It was perfect for our stay, and safe and convenient. The only downside is the noise from being right next to I-40. But other than that, everything was great!

This is by far the best KOA I've stayed at. We booked on the phone & arrived at about midnight. To my surprise, there was a very friendly employee who showed us where to park & gave us a short tour of the campgrpund. He said that the hot tub was open 24 hours & it was a really nice one. He wasn't wrong. We stayed in the tub till about 2am before hitting the sack. If we're ever coming through Albuquerque again, we'll definitely be staying at this KOA.
My family stayed overnight on a three day journey home. We were delighted the pool opened at 8:00 am so the kids could swim before leaving. Unfortunately, the pool and jump pad were closed. No notice given or sign posted, only an employee informing us it would be closed an hour or so. Thankful for the gate as the area is questionable.

First of all, I am conflicted on giving this place a low rating only because it is a nice campground with very friendly staff and good amenities. Overall our stay was very nice. The reason for the 3 stars: the area is horrific. My family and I ventured out and quickly returned because the area felt very unsafe. It's in a part of town that is quite run down, lots of drug use is apparent. It's a shame the location isn't in a nicer spot.
We stayed only one night as we had a tight schedual on our Cross Country trip from SoCal to New England and back. Staff was kind, helpful and organized. I was especially impressed with the selection of quality items for sale in the Shop. I bought two gorgeous Metal Wall Hangings, a LIZARD and A SUN, several "Desert" Tshirts and A bunch of ARROWHEADS for the Grandkids that did not come with us!

This was a great KOA. We only stayed 1 night, so didn't check out the amenities. We had a cabin, with a kitchenette, a full bed in a separate room, a separate area with bunks and a pull out couch. All the RV seemed to have plenty of room and were level. (Didn't see any RVs on leveling blocks) This KOA is not in a good area of town but it was gated and they always have a person on duty at the front near the gate. We felt safe.
We stayed there 2 weeks from 8/8/21 to 8/22/21. The staff was excellent from the time we arrived until we left. Always very helpful and professional. They keep the place very clean at all times and you see them maintaining all areas of the campground throughout the day. The campground is secured and someone is there throughout the night. Very easy on and off interstate 40. I highly recommend this KOA. We will go back there.
Called the night before asking about the hot tub, telling we are traveling with children. The person on the phone was very helpful and kind but did not mention the hottub is not to be used by anybody under 18, also not when children are supervised. Hope they will more specifically inform families about this prior booking. The highway noise is bad and the RV park looks more like an RV parking then a campground.
We stopped at this Koa on our road trip. They were very accommodating as we originally were supposed to be in a tent, but do to unexpected weather we asked to be upgraded to a cabin. They found us one without costing a fortune. The facilities are nice. It is also nice that the pool and hot tub have late hours for travelers arriving late. I will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are traveling.
I was nervous when I turned into the neighborhood, but I was pleasantly surprised pulling into the rv park. The rv park was sooo nice. It was quiet & more importantly, I felt safe since I was traveling alone. The dog parks were great & my fur baby greatly appreciated them, especially after a long 9 hour day of travel.

Very friendly staff with most of them staying onsite which shows because they care very much. The staff was always willing to help at a moment’s notice. Good location from the highway and close to an RV dealer with a good size parts store in case you need to make some repairs.
Going through town kind of late and stayed one night at Journey KOA. It was very clean and has a great set up. We have two small dogs and they have quite a few little dog areas. Our dogs were happy to have some grass. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay again if in the area.

I rented a tent site and it was right next to the highway so I didn't really sleep all night plus the bathroom that was nearest the tents was out of order so I had to drive to the bathroom at 3am on the other side of the park. Not a good place to tent camp at all. I won't be back.

Nightly price is the highest I've ever been quoted, and we've stayed at quite a few KOA. It's a nice park from what we saw but definitely over priced, if it wasn't so late in the evening, we would have kept driving. Sad when the employee says that there are rv spots parks up ahead that are just as nice but cheaper. Having a 24 hour hot tub and a gate doesn't make the price double
My wife accepted a very short notice position as a travel nurse in Albuquerque and we were in search of a long term space. The staff went above and beyond to find us a space to include the month of October and the balloon festival, we are so thankful for their efforts. Our kids love the pool, playground and jump pad. I highly recommend this campground!

Facilities were fine, up to KOA standards but compared to other KOAs we stayed at on the trip it was about 50% More Expensive. So, I didn't think it was a very good value. Although it was secure it was in a fairly dicey part of town, but quite convenient to the Interstate.

We had the less expensive site and it was loose gravel. We tried to stay right before Thanksgiving and it was over a $100. We didn’t stay, but on our way home. the next week, I checked and the price was only $50! It was ok. We were right by I-10. Definitely NOT worth $100/night!

Did not stay there BUT the service was fantastic!! The guy that filled out tanks was patient with us and kind. The woman working the front area was all smiles and made us fill at ease due to it being our first time dumbing our camper. The whole area was clean and homey. Wish (I remembered their name)

Just an overnight camping stay, but a wonderful tent site. Very private and large enough for my two-room tent. Seemed like a very nice place to stay inexpensively for a few days while you're in the area. Bathrooms and showers were clean with decent hot water supply and pressure. There is traffic noise from the freeway which is very near but it didn't bother me.
We were there for a week visiting family! Great location the interstate is very close! Staff is excellent!Always someone to lend a helping hand! The grounds, bathrooms extremely clean! The security is constant so felt very safe! I recommend this KOA if you're in Albuquerque!

The rudest workers I have ever met. All because my daughter and I used the hot tub. The worker even got aggressive towards me in front of her. I use KOAs during my PCS every few years. Never again. If you have kids find somewhere else to stay. This is clearly a older focused Camp ground. And the staff are absolutely lacking in a the human skills department.
Great KOA Journey, good for short stays or passing through for a night or two. Have stayed here several times while making the trip east or west. Decent sizes spots, safe location with security gates, pool, dog parks, friendly staff. Stayed here several times while passing through NM. Great midway spot to stop. Has a nice pool, staff is always .
This Koa in of itself is nice. The location is not ideal! The campground is gated off due to the area being so sketchy! The homeless population is a big problem in that area sand they are all lined up outside the Koa and you could tell that most of them were addicted to a substance. It was sad to see.

Stayed here last night in a tent. The staff were very nice but the location is atrocious. The campground is in the middle of Albuquerque right next to a major highway. There’s no trees or greenery and the noise is terrible. We had to go to CVS and buy earplugs. For $70 a night for a tent site, I would expect a much better “camping” experience.
We stopped in to get water. After trying to get water at several other very unfriendly RV parks. We pulled in and the staff in the store were so friendly!!! I paid 5.00 to fill my tank with fresh water. The store was clean, the grounds super clean. I noticed a jumping pillow and a new playground. I will definitely stay when passing through.
We really like this park and it's convenient to many restaurants and stores in the area. The only drawback is that the sites are pretty small. You'll most likely need to unhitch or you'll be sticking into the roadway. They do have plenty of dog parks so your pup can roam free for a little bit.

My extra long site is horridly thin and I can't reach the power pedestal. The place is terribly tight. Not sure if I can make the 270* turn to get out of here. If you a dog, avoid this KOA. Wasted 14 miles out of my way on i25

The Albuquerque KOA is one of the best we have stayed at. The staff are friendly and helpful. The KOA camp sites are safe and secure with 24 hour security. The premises along with the hot tub, swimming pool, bathrooms, and showers is spotless and super clean. To my surprise this KOA has a doggie wash and shampoo area too. …
I've been to many KOAs. This one was fine. It was clean and the cabin we stayed in was really nice. Lots of space and good amenities. But the location is pretty much right in Albuquerque. Which is fine but it was not ideal.

Beautiful RV Park. Spacious with tons of amenities. My only concern is location. We are surrounded by a huge homeless population and crime. We heard gun shots the other night outside the walls. We do feel completely safe inside the walls but once you pull outside the walls it's not a beautiful area whatsoever. Location stinks.
VERY nice park—in the top two KOAs we’ve stayed at. Roomy, lots of pull-throughs. We were just there for one night, so we didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but it’s inside its own building so that seems great. Follow the directions on their website for the easiest access, GPS suggested a slightly difference access.
It's a campground which was really nice. Definitely would stay here again. Lots to see in Albuquerque NM

Great view, Quiet, Great value
Overall, it’s a nice place. Just something about a KOA that charges for coffee when all the others have it complimentary for you in the front. This one and the one in Yellowstone are the only ones I’ve ever seen do it. The front desk lady was pretty snarky about it, too.

Convenient for an overnight. Long pull through sites. Near the highway, so you’ll need some white noise to sleep well. It’s gated at night and they have 24 hour security patrolling the grounds. Would recommend this park if your just traveling through as it was convenient to get off and back on the highway.
Passing through on a one night layover. This place is very secure with gated 24hr security, clean amenities and staff has a great attitude and very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Great park with friendly, knowledable staff. The facilities and grounds are well maintained. In a little bit of an older, industrial area but had no issues. Enjoyed the jumping pad and lounging chairs. Nice, big, clean bathrooms / showers.

Really cute little campground with very nice and clean showers and bathroom. I used it several times and I was the only one in there. Always spotless. Love this. The campground isn’t real quiet because of highway noise but I slept fine no worries.

Nice campground, close to everything. We had a nice site with a concrete patio. We were close to the dog park which worked out well for us. Everything is clean and well kept. Staff are very nice and helpful. There have many amenities - mini-putt, hot tub, etc. A number of families in the campground.
Holy cow. I can’t say enough about the staff here. We are first time RVers and literally had no clue. Not only did Roger talk us through EVERYTHING but he never made us feel stupid in the process, either. Roger you are a lifesaver and a total sweetheart. Cannot thank you enough! …
Best rv resort in ABQ. Pricey but worth it. Hottest hot tub in the west! Bathrooms and showers are very well maintained. Laundry room is affordable and the machines work well. SECURE, I felt very safe at KOA I was in 2 months. Made some friends. Highly recommend this park over the others in town.
Outstanding 2 night stay. Super convenient, proximity to Walmart and Sams Club, close to Old Town and biking/hiking. Super staff. Super clean facilities. Secure location. Dog parks on site.

Stayed here on my trips with the dogs. Nice Dog park, staff is friendly. I sleep with a white noise machine when I travel with the dogs, so the road noise doesn't bother me. I really like they lock the gate at night.

Overpriced, dirty and noisy. Typical KOA except it was poorly maintained. Pool and mini golf are run down and not well maintained. Very pricey as there aren’t many alternatives in the area. Interstate noise is significant. Not bad for an overnight but wouldn’t recommend an extended stay.
We got in at 9 p.m. no one was in the office. No one answered the phone. We didn’t know where our site was or the bathroom door codes. The manager was immediately defensive when I spoke with him the next day. We did not get a refund.

Nice koa other than really pricy & a very rude grounds person driving around in a golf cart. The office staff were friendly and helpful Only the front pet areas are worth taking your pets to. The 2 in the back are small gravel enclosures that both my dogs would have nothing to do with.
Really impressed!! We stayed one night traveling through. The bathrooms were clean, nice game room area, dog running area. The park is large enough to walk around and stretch our legs!

We stayed two nights it was very quiet and restful. I like that some sites had separate little pet spot to put your pet in it was very handy to be able to put our pet right outside our door you go potty on a grassy area. Should we move forward to our next visit the pool is a plus
Nice sites! Very comfortable. We also used the laundry room and it was just what we needed for our one night stay while passing through Albequerque.

We had to change our route due to weather and didnt have a reservation. After a long day on the road, we came in late and luckily ran into Geno who helped get into thier last spot available. We were so fortunate he was there to help us. Thank you so much.

Cool KOA, everyone extremely nice especially the gentleman picking up the trash thru out the RV park. Ladies at the office are very professional.Love the hot tub. Must not forgot the doggie areas with bags.We are enjoying our stay as a matter of fact extended our stay.
Great and safe location right off the interstate. Very friendly employees. We stayed on two separate occasions and everyone we encountered was up for a chat if you cared to socialize. Clean, gated, and had easy after hours check-in. Online booking was fast and simple.
Really nice place. Clean, quiet and lots of amenities with easy highway access. Also very secure. They also have a big propane tank to refill yours. Also very dog friendly. They also have a veterans discount. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The sites were easy to access and paved. There were a lot of activities for kids, and nice facilities for pets. The pool was a nice size. This is a very guest oriented campground. They will even pick your trash up at your site!
As with all KOA it is mostly well kept there are a lot of vehicles in storage that make the place look a bit lower than the average KOA. ALL the people are very friendly and everything with the stay was fine. They lock the entry gate quite early it seems.
Really clean park, extremely helpful, bathrooms and laundry is clean. Neighborhood is not the greatest, but there security is awesome and centrally located. Would definitely make this a stop off again. Also super close to groceries and the Sandia Tram.
The staff was so nice and understanding to me,clean lots, nice set up , clean pool adorable cabins ! Loved it !

Called for a one nite stay for the 3rd of Oct. Balloon Festival is 10 7-14. Was told per recording those dates sold out. I just needed the 3rd. Was told usual fee was 75$ but since the Ballon Festival started on the 7th the fee would be 115$
We just needed a quick overnight stop. Had to get premium spot cause nothing else available to fit our motorhome and trailer. Do not like the larger pointy rocks by expensive sites at all! Spots seemed close to next spot. Bathrooms clean.
