I am an IBEW Union electrician that came to fill out a police report and I was told that I could not do it here. I was told by the gentleman with glasses up front that I would have to call and wait for an officer to file a simple report. I am not sure what they do to serve the citizens here in Albuquerque or why this substation is here, but I do pay taxes and find it very inconvenient that a police substation in Albuquerque will not help me to fill out a simple police report especially considering I took the day off work to resolve this issue.

I needed to pick up my police report, when I called the female that answered the phone said I couldn’t pick it up there, 5 minutes from my house. She said I had to go downtown. I called the downtown office and she said I could go to any substation to get it. Poor customer service and laziness. I ended up going to the substation by Cibola and the gentleman had it printed out for me and was extremely courteous and friendly.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They helped me put together a police report for an insurance claim (automobile damage.) The locale was clean and easily accessible. My one complaint is that the police report form (all on paper with clipboard) seemed a little obsolete in the digital age. Perhaps a more efficient system is possible?

We have some amazing folks in our police department, I wanted to mention Officer Mark Ulibarri from the SW substation, I appricate your kindness and professionalism. The city is a better place because of you, stay safe.

Everyone at this substation was very nice to me when I came in. They helped me with my forms and looking up the particular statutes I was needing.

Nice enough people behind the glass. Helpful and courteous .
