This library is my favorite of all time! I found them years ago through a posting on nextdoor about an upcoming crafts event. I took my mom & kids to see what it was about. Everyone had a blast & this instantly became our new library! The staff truly loves what they do & it shows! They have so many interactive events to bring in people of all ages! It's always a friendly & welcoming environment there. Even during the covid-19 pandemic they did their best to keep our kids entertained. Jacque (I believe that's the correct spelling) is the best! She's very passionate about what she does & it shines through in her book selection. I called in every couple of weeks & ask for a new selection of books for my teenage twins. She never disappointed. Even recently shared about a new Netflix series for some of the books my kids love. She's no longer at this branch, but still emails book lists to my kids! To me, that is going above & beyond the call of duty! Thank you ❤

This is one, the only library in the area for miles. I gave it 4 stars cause, I come use their computers alot, and leave. They have updated their computers, to new ones. Looks like they also got new chairs. I guess a small layout change took place recently. I know people complain of lots of kids running around,and using all the computers for gaming. Yeah, that's very unorganized. Dedicate an area for that,and other area for adults who need to do more important stuff,aside from gaming. This has been an issue since day one. I will admit, lately is has been a little more quiet than normal. This library, is overlooked. Compared to other libraries I go to, it needs a complete remodel. Needs more books. More staff. Needs to be bigger in size, cause it does get packed on some days. Other than ,not enough computers, this library is ok. I know cause of the area,it's neglected. Which is sad. I love coming here. Wish I ran it, it would be Soo much nicer!!

I really like this library. I went to this library to have my passport photo and passport completed for a international trip I will be taking this summer. The staff at this library were very nice very informative. Overall, they all had a great disposition and we're very pleasant to me. I got to speak with the librarian one on one and she gave me a lot of insight and information about the library. We spoke about some things that will be going on during the summer there. I really like how engaged and fun she made everything sound and she was really on top of her game as to the activities and things that she will be doing for the community this summer. Her willingness to help and explain in great detail about the events and about her library was what did it for me. I wanna go back and visit Great library Great staff

To all of you that say the librarians don't stop the kids from making noise... They CAN"T. They cannot correct or discipline any kids. They can only call the police. If you see something say something. Furniture costs money and if the public urinates in chairs/seats..... The county may or may not replace it. Parents should be responsible for their own children. A library is not a baby sitting service. Control yourselves. This is not opinion it is fact. Animals chastise their offspring; why don't people. ALSO, The staff does care. They can only do what they are allowed to do.

Very nice environment-really nice librarians. Always willing to help. Aldine Branch Library always have all kind of helpful community programs like cooking & computer classes just to name some. My printer run out of ink last week & I needed to print some documents with urgency-I went there with my USB and I was able to print out the docs that I needed-there is no charge for the first 10 pages I believe. The librarians and volunteers at Aldine library were so helpful like always...they make you feel at home. Thank you! -you are the best! :)

This place has become a video game arcade for kids and teenagers. Let’s tell it how it is, there is little to zero “learning” taking place in this establishment. There are almost no quiet places to study, the back has 3 tables and you will find yourself sharing the miniature desk with another. There is nothing the librarians can do. Atleast the kids are playing video games, not out on the streets doing trouble. I myself cannot come back anymore, way too loud.

I came here for a passport appointment. I was late, had the wrong papers, in the wrong ink, and apparently the photo I brought was wrong too! I was so stressed and Francisco happily helped us with a smile on his face to get everything straightened out. No wait no line and all the patience & knowledge! All the other workers too were very nice helping and laughing with all the other visitors there too. Highly recommend and appreciate this library!

As part of Aldine community-I feel proud and lucky to have access to so many free programs and learning opportunities that Aldine library offers-computer classes, help with job search-assistance completing a Will, etc, etc. Thank you so much to the many volunteers who gladly partner with the library to offer their knowledge for the benefit of this community & thanks to the library staff always happy to assist with questions. :)

As a recurring student that goes here since 08' I must say, the library has improved. Yes, it may be loud, but the librarians (no matter how hard they try) can not keep it down. Remember this is a popular hang out for hs and middle school students (since the park isnt available till 5pm). But that is what makes it homely. Its better to see my peers there than behind Jack picking up fights. I hope everyone understands.....

This place is terrible. Very noisy especially for a library. Kids screaming extremely loud. The employees don't have/use authority. I decided to leave me house and go to the library for peace and quiet because I live with four toddlers and soon realized I was better off at home. If you're looking peace and quite this IS NOT the place for you !!!! Also they don't have a great selection on books..... Very small library.

County libraries require a print card that you pay for. (Stupid), we already pay taxes to keep the libraries up and running then we Have to pay to have some type of card to print things out. Damm shame! Paying .15c .20c to print paper ok but paying for a card and then .50c or a 1.00 to print is ridiculous. City libraries from what I'm being told is where you pay .10 and .15c to print. Houston is really something else!

I really enjoy coming here. The staff is polite and friendly. There is a variety of books, movies, children's books and poetry and health and nutrition books, up to date and popular material. You can easily request material online and receive it here. It's usually quiet or lots of kids at the computers. Overall I am grateful to have this neighborhood library and staff. And there is always a security guard.

This is usually my library of choice. Typically clean and sanitary Had to have my library card replaced and the worker behind the counter was very helpful and courteous. Answered all my questions and took care of very quickly Does get kind of loud once all the kids show up after school but i still like this library. Will be going again soon. Can't wait to read my new selections

This branch does walk-ins on Fridays at 1pm. I got there at about 12:45 and there were 7 people in line already. They promptly open at 1pm, they gave us numbers and they would start serving us at 2pm. I was done by 2:50. Everyone is courteous and efficient. You can also take your pictures there and they can also make your copies. Lots of parking and restrooms are available.

The worst library that I have ever seen. The study area does not have chairs for the tables. It looks like a play ground full of kids shouting and playing. Only one study room is available for first come first serve basis. No reservations. People play music in study area. Some others play games on computers. Horrible situation which is never suitable for a library.

Came to this library because they had a book I needed in stock the one by me didn't. Around the time I went it was kind a full house. It was kind of loud to be a library and also had some kids in there playing as well. The staff was very friendly and was there when I needed help. They also had activities for the children in the community that was free.

Librarians are nice and helpful. It can get loud, especially in the summer or when the kids are out of school, but I like seeing the kids there and not on the street. I come get or drop off my books and I am out. I just love Harris County libraries in general and how they all share their resources with each other.

This is a good and decent sized library. Their weekend hours are very convenient. They offer different courses throughout the year. These include citizenship, English, and computer classes. All for free! Only thing I'm not a fan of is that there is only one study room but other than that, it's very convenient.

Good people working here, but, it feels like an unruly day care. I enjoy the programming, but the lack of volume control, and the amount of little ones running around, continuously, is a real BOOK KILL. There can be no reading or studying done here. I suggest you check your media out and go home.

I wouldn't recommend this library for adults! This library is for kids and teens! The chairs are hard chairs (no lounge area) and there's few electric outlets to use (literally just 1 outlet!!!). This is not a library for adults to relax and be comfortable reading or browsing the internet.

This library service is great! I came to get my passport from this library and Francisco helped us and he was so kind! He was patient and helped us with a paper I forgot but he worked it out with us. I recommend 10/10 to come obtain your passport here at the aldine library!

This is a great place to take your kids to once a week for 1 to 3 hours. My Daughter loves this branch and all the staff. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Some are extremly helpful and go the extra mile. This is a great resource for Famlies from any background.

I went in for bilingual storytime with my toddler (17 months). Librarians were interactive & energetic. Fun times for little ones! They have a small childrens area with mini furniture, toys, puzzles & of course, great books! Many board books for the smaller ones.

Clean, tidy, lots of surfaces easy to disinfect. The book selection covers a wide range, though not complete author selections. The inter library lending program makes it much less of an issue for me. The staff has so far been friendly, courteous, and helpful.

The staff are helpful and friendly. There are more people on the computer than actually reading- the low variety on books probably stems from lack of circulation. Good news is whatever they don't have- they will request it for you. Gotta love the Library

It was Great I like the staff they are awesome! They try and help you with all your questions and come up with great solutions.. It can get a little noisy, so the best thing to do is bring you a pair of headphones.. Other than that you should be fine..

Great staff!!! Only reason not giving 5 stars is because this location does not carry enough books in certain areas like finance and personal growth. The shovels are empty in those sections so there is room. Other Harris County Libraries carry enough.

This library provides passport services but the people in charge does not know what they’re doing. They provided bad communication and made me waste 2 hours of my time! Awful service!!! I would totally rate this experience 0 stars if I could !!

Love this library, very kid friendly. Library is loud only because it caters to kids and students. Many students can be anywhere doing anything, but they come to this library to play their video games and study. Police on duty!!!

Staff were friendly and the facility had full amenities. This library has plenty of parking, and is of modest size. There aren't a ton of shelves, but that's no big deal as you can place requests and pickup at your convenience.

Very helpful and friendly staff, everything is clean, you can use the computers for free ,computer and ESL classes for free , multiples activities for the little ones ,my only complaint a lot of noise sometimes

Love libraries. The Aldine branch is good and the staff was great but the kids playing video games in the computers were very loud. No couches or comfy seats to sit down and read, only regular wooden chairs.

We came here for passports. The process was very well orchestrated and efficient. The library was very nice and clean. Would highly recommend for anyone that needs access to a library.

Mostly young girls that are misinformed and don't know what information to tell you to bring up there until it's too late and you wasted your whole day and money missed from work

I went there to finish a 5 pg paper for school and they gave me more than an hour (3.5 actually because im slow)on the computer and everyone was so helpful and kind.

Excellent librarians! They are very helpful in printing, copies, usage of their phone to call a ride, security always onsite, snacks, etc. Visit! You'll love it!

The staff is extremely helpful and very nice. I really enjoy the Anime Club' and they all have all sorts of events for all types of age ranges.

The library has lot of space, facilities and variety of books. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would surely recommend.
