"Al Barnes Park is not a bad part 18th Street Park is what is known as in the neighborhood but that Park is so behind with just touch ups and things that that Park need that can really be a nice very spacious always so spaced as you can do you can have about five family reunions in that thing at one time is racquetball courts basketball course but it really does need upgrades bad and the a lot of bad trees in their old trees are if they put a little time until that Park that would be one of the Highlight city parks"

Nice park for the neighborhood, and predominantly friendly people. Currently under a revitalization.
Playground
Jungle Gym is definitely updated, modernized, and safe (nothing broken, old, worn, or sharp). Swings, and typical workout equipment such as Monkey Bars, pull-up bars, and ect. Tennis courts (bring your own net and a broom), racquetball court, baseball field, and basketball courts are not updated, but acceptable. Baseball field and a large open field usually used for football is also available.
Restrooms
Restrooms available. About what you would expect from any city park regarding cleanliness.
Picnic area
Only a couple of picnic tables, only 2 gazebos, and few benches.

Got a covid test here today. I didn't get to go into the park because it was my lunch break buts it's a pretty big park. Most parks in Tampa are flat but this one has a big hill and these nice hand painted barrier poles going around the park. The covid test was really fast and way less up in your brain than the first one I had months ago.
Connections Community Church, 2 annual Community Outreach Day !!!! Feeding Tampa was there giving out free food to anyone. Raymond the Rays mascot was was there making adults as well as children laugh. He's a good dancer We gave out book bags with supplies. There were small business vendors around the event also. Great time for all.
It's to fast supposed to be upper age and old women like in their 40's who having children other than that the park is around the elders with an outstanding population plus truckers and rest area was established a c.e. on the younger etc rollet park Cascade robles and Williams park is for the younger due to age the fit in is remarkable.
We were all amazed at everything available for us to exercise; a baseball field; a hill to climb; plenty of grass for us to run, play tag; handball courts and few other activities
Playground
Great for kids of all ages
Restrooms
Unbelievable very very well maintained and stocked. It's a little dark
Waited in line for a little over an hr before even getting tested (arrived at 7am) it seems like they may need more hands on deck or something...I did one at al Lopez Park before arriving at about 8 and was only there for about all of 30mins or so. And it was also a little confusing trying to even get into the park.
The City of Tampa was giving out bottled water cases due to a water main break on December 7th downtown which affected thousands of residents. This was better than having to boil water every day through yesterday. I also got two free cotton masks! Thanks awesome City of Tampa for your thoughtfulness!!
This is a well maintained park that has tennis court, racquetball court, softball field and obstacle course. It has picnic tables with overhead protection from the elements. It also has basketball courts , parking and rest rooms- closes at dusk.
Peaceful park. The homeless there stay to themselves for the most part. There are swings, dirty slides, and a pretty decent work out area for pull- ups, dips, and jogging. There's also basketball courts, a baseball diamond, and handball courts.
Went here for a test. I was not aware of the registration before showing up. I attempted to register while waiting in line, but there was one car ahead so my time was limited. Was eventually asked to park in front of a tent to finish
Insane line for the Covid testing, the news ruined this opportunity. Also make sure your already on the block cause you’ll never make it to the site if not. No traffic directing and all these new Floridians have no respect for others.
Did some painting to the stumps out there with the kids met some good people and we painted and they gave us lunch Corporate to Develop Communities of Tampa it get 3 star because it's always dirty there 1st I've seen it clean
Great place to unwind and relax with fresh air and fun activities you create at the park 18th street is what East Tampa Natives call it. (Alfred Barnes Park) is the name of the park now great history.
Bathrooms not open and people actively fighting/wrestling at like noon, but also a chill guy selling BBQ and some pokestops ~ plus parking, open space, and shade so... I've seen worse
What a great park. Nice quiet spot. A big Field to okay soccer or football. Got a nice little playground for the kids and basketball courts for the rest. …
Great neighborhood park for the children to be able to get outside and have fun. Picnic tables available as well as a bathroom. Plenty of space to play.
It's a place where homeless people live in public bathrooms but ,me and my wife was a swabber at the COVID testing site here at the park 13 hrs a day..
I didn't like this park it was dirty every where. Bees where everywhere because of all the trash. I'm not even going to talk about the bathroom.
The park is great, but yet in another neighborhood where the community doesn't care and the grabage is everywhere ruining it for the others!
I went and my family went & got tested for covid. The wait was about 45 minutes but the testing and results were all done under 20 minutes.
4 stars for the new upgrade to the kids playground park area. Keep it up! Exploit all that park space, it could become something huge.
Went for covid testing Sunday about 11:00 a.m. took a little over an hour but was happy I was able to sit in my car ran pretty smooth
One of the swings are broken and the other swing is too low. Only toddlers can swing on it even though there are swings for babies.

My grandson has his football practice at AL BARNES PARK. It's nice to see kids at the park just being kids.
If you love ghetto fab no shade parks full of crackheads and alcoholics then you will love this place.
The kids do not have respect for the adults the language they use is disgusting...I was disappointed
This park is nice. Don't let the area fool you, it beautiful, and peaceful.
