I recently had the pleasure of working with Tony Loi for my condo and auto insurance, and I cannot recommend him enough. Tony was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain all of the policy details to me and answering all of my questions thoroughly. He was also very prompt and efficient in processing my policy, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. What stood out to me the most about Tony was his exceptional customer service. He genuinely cared about my needs and worked hard to find the best coverage options for my specific situation, all while being respectful of my budget. It was clear that he valued building a relationship with me and earning my trust as a client, which is rare to find these days. This agency is the better of others I've dealt with however, from condescending agents to long waits on the phone. I guess things could be worst but there's definitely room for improvement. I bought a vehicle and on the date of delivery I switched the insurance while at the dealership. almost a week after, I found out that the collision deductible wasn't properly documented, causing a delay in paying out the remainder of the payments of the older vehicle. After 4 years of being a good member paying on time with no accidents, I would expect better and more conscientious service. My teenage son who is also insured with Allstate, had a rear collision (not his fault) in August 2022 and Still hasn't had his car assessed and is expected to pay a deductible when he had no fault in the incident. Allstate seems to be collecting premiums but sitting on their hands unwilling to do anything. Now we had to get a lawyer on the case to get things moving. This is unacceptable. I'm ready to change agencies forthwith. I feel race could be factor in this issue.

If you're reading this then it's likely you are starting the arduous task that is shopping for auto insurance in Alberta. I think you can probably stop now that you've found Edmonton North Allstate. I recently contacted various insurance providers and speaking to some or even getting ahold of some can be very frustrating. I wanted an agent that would be responsive via email and understood the process very well. Enter David Hannaa. David is my new agent, and he's the best I've had in a very long time. He responds PROMPTLY via email and only calls when absolutely necessary, as is my preference. In one day David undertook the complexity of my situation and came up with more than one option for me, communicating all along the way. When you do need to speak on the phone he is bright and on task as to not waste your time. Lastly, David also saved me a metric tonne of cash! I know not everyone will see the savings I did but I would bet that you aren't currently getting this level of customer service and frankly, it's worth checking him out.

I was eligible for accident benefit forgiveness on my last renewal policy. My friend who works at an insurance brokerage company told me that it is policy for insurance companies to offer accident benefit forgiveness, which AllState did not. Then, just my luck, I got into an accident which was deemed my fault even though the car in front of me admitted fault. Now, the renewal on my insurance policy price has a 45% hike. Not only that, the guy I was talking to on the phone was not pleasant. He did briefly look into my policy for me but did nothing else afterwards. I get that customer service can be challenging, however, I was not being rude or anything. I asked if there is anything else he could do to try to lower the amount on my insurance policy but I was quickly brushed off. The only thing that I'm stuck on is if a customer is eligible for something as big as accident benefit forgiveness, please call the customer out of courtesy. Put yourself in our shoes, if this was you, you would have wanted someone to give you a courtesy call.

My whole car exterior was hit by a hailstorm in Calgary on July 15 and it's been three months now. It's been more times than I can remember emailing and calling the company and not getting any response, much less an adjuster coming over to process my claim, which is very frustrating . I would like to know why I haven't received any response? The expeditor you gave us doesn't care about us and is unresponsive. The name is Bob Wagstaff. Also, winter is coming to Edmonton, and the long period of time that Allstate has not dealt with whether or not to have my car serviced at dealerships/whether or not to buy winter tires has affected my ability to make these decisions. I hope this message gets to your good office to address this issue. I would like to close by saying that I had been trying to renew my insurance policy before this happened, but in this case I am skeptical and I am not safe with your company and find it difficult to trust.

Very bad insurance company. I do not recommend! I feel cheated! When I inquired about getting insurance from your company, I was told that my payment would be $95 per month.  I agreed because I was satisfied with the price.  But instead of $95, $175 was withdrawn from my account, and the next month, instead of $95, as much as $325 was withdrawn!!!  I was not satisfied with such a price increase!  Therefore, I called your company's hotline and was told that I will be charged $170 for the month of June, even though I will NOT be using your services in June!  I feel cheated and cheated!  Instead of $190 for two months, it cost me $500, and it is not clear why I have to pay $179 for June when I am asking to terminate the contract already, although I have already paid on June 3!!!

Had a great experience with the allstate agent: Tony Loi!!! I am a new home owner and am getting married so had to transfer my previous auto insurance over to my fiances. He explained everything to me and helped with all of these insurance changes seamlessly. I've been stressed out with the wedding and building a new home so having someone like Tony help me with this has been amazing. In terms of customer service he is by far the best I've worked with. His attention to detail, his quick responses and explanation in lay-mans terms to someone who barely knows anything about insurance has been very much appreciated. I would recommend him to anyone. Tiffany was assigned as my sales agent. She didn't provide any service, I had to constantly call her to know the progress of setting up my insurance policy. Most of the time when I call her it goes straight to voicemail and she replies the next day. I told her I wanted it to be done as soon as possible but it took over a month and a half to complete my policy. I switched to Allstate because they had I thought they had better pricing but after reviewing the policy I realized the policy she provided was not what I wanted. I should have just went with my previous broker that completed my insurance on the same day and actually went over the policy with me in detail. It was a pain to deal with and definitely do not recommend.

I have been with Allstate for 3 years and have had nothing but problems. My agent never answers my calls and recently I was in an accident and it took 2 weeks and 3 phone calls from me for anyone to acknowledge my claim, then another 3 weeks to get a rental. Every time I call I’m told whoever answers doesn’t have access to my information and I need to call elsewhere. Every time I leave a message requesting a call back I never get one. After finally contacting my agent who had to contact a manager my adjuster emailed me but when I emailed back she never responded. It’s now been nearly 2 months and I still don’t even know if my car will be repaired or totalled yet. Avoid Allstate AT ALL COSTS

This is the worst agency around I call and they keep putting you through to some else because its not there office thats looks after you . they do seem to understand that all I want was a quote for a new home or car . Just because I call from sherwood park the north branch said I would have to use sherwood park office when I tried the sherwood park office they said I have to call the westend office because my policy was from there. Now I am look to purchase a new home I called the north end they said the couldn't help its not them . Wow wow wow . Used to love this insurance agency and admittedly the problem isnt the locations but the company cooperate. After being sideswiped 2 years ago, I was forced to use a rental for 2.5 months. I was told I would be reimbursed for the 2 weeks I had to pay out of my pocket since the vehicle was so new and new parts were required that were unavailable immediately. I was in contact with their contacts endlessly trying to ensure everything was in order and not ONCE were my calls returned nor was the money promised paid back. Very disappointing service despite my loyalty to them for so many years even when they raised my rate so high I could barely afford it.

When it came to things I didn't fully understand, he made sure I knew what was going and quite transparent. Most car insurance companies are pretty cut and dry and leave out a lot of information that i was not aware of. David really did a lot in helping me get the best rate for my car insurance. Cayla was fantastic. I've been woth intact for 9 years now and recently bought a house. Cayla was able to get me the home insurance coverage I was looking for for 400 dollars less than going through a broker with 60 dollars off my auto insurance when I bundled. I always thought insurance brokers were the way to go but after calling All-State discovered that the brokers only deal with a small list of companies. Always a good idea to call around. Cayla was super professional and quick on the responses. Glad I switched over!!

Tony Loi!! I've been dealing with Tony to move my auto and home insurances back to Allstate. He helped get my quotes quickly and saved me nearly $700 on insurance this year compared to my current policy. I've had issues with other insurance agents in the past, with regards to response times or even getting a response in general. Tony has been an MVP and has been super responsive and helpful. They say customer service is the key to a successful business and Tony has delivered a happy customer.

Delt with Allstate for a few years. Never had any issues. Resently purchased a new truck (finally) and was quoted an OUTRAGEOUS PRICE for full coverage. It's not the locations problem but a problem with the company.... I can't believe they can get away with the prices they charge. Shopped around a bit and was able to get the coverage I needed for the price I needed. I myself know of 3 people who have left Allstate to go else where. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. Sad.

I recently moved to BC and Peggy was not only patient with my disorganized paperwork, but also went the extra mile and got a refund sent to my new address. Seriously disappointed with the service. They don't tell you anything when something changes and they do nothing to repair their own mistakes even if you have been a good customer (never missed a payment and never claimed yet so I cannot say anything about claiming). The customer service person as well as the insurance broker are professional and polite and patient with all the questions you may have. It was easy to set up insurance with them and easy to get out of it when I sold my car and no longer needed insurance. They treat you really good when getting a new policy. Any claims or issues they are horrible to deal with. Hard to get ahold of and the claims department, will not respond by email or phone horrible service all around. Great price but I guess it comes with poor service, always a trade off.
