If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve never experienced such terrible customer service. I changed bank accounts and my wife called ahead of time to change my automatic billing to my new bank account. They said I have a missed payment and the bank account they tried to take the payment from is closed. The lady on the phone wouldn’t even look into the bank account info that I gave. So I went into the office hoping to get a better result. After telling the agent my story she simply said that’s the info your wife gave. She must be confused I asked her if the phone calls are recorded and we can clear this up and she said she can request the conversation but she won’t because that’s the info my wife gave. I told her that I wanted to speak to the manager and she said he would call me the next day. After speaking with the manager he said the exact same thing. This is the info your wife gave to bad. After requesting him to request the phone call so we could clear this whole thing up he said no and that I was wrong!! I offered to make the double payment for both my auto and house insurance but I didn’t want pay a nsf fee and they wanted me to pay out the balance of my home insurance which I wanted to go back on monthly payments. He wouldn’t work with me at all and said no to both. So I would have to pay out around a thousand dollars to get my insurance back in good standing. Which I simply can’t afford to do. As a long time customer I’m very disappointed. Stay away!!!
I am very fortunate to have had Allstate, for my car insurance. My car had a collision they were quick to respond as soon as I manage to contact them. I am giving them 4 stars because I had a very hard time contacting them. I was fortunate enough that I didn't need my car badly and I knew what to do and expect when my car had a collision, but if I needed my car badly for work I would have gave them 2 or 3 starts only. I have to rent my own rental. If I didn't know what to do and if I was the one on the accident I would have freaked out that I can't even contact my own car insurance and the person I spoke (where you report when your car had an accident) had no idea what I should do next than contact my representative which I didn't know the number cause they never gave me the pink slip. The quote was very nice and affordable so I might check it again if they would still give me the best quote for my next car. Fingers crossed. Then I'll let you know folks.

If I can give zero out of five, this insurance company definitely deserve it for sure. Agent insurance like Jonathan S. does not have any sense of customer service. He does not response of your emails for any request. In last 30 years of working with different insurance companies the Allstate has the poorest customer service I have ever seen. BE AWARE, Although all other insurance companies do not have any penalty in home insurance, Allstate insurance company has over 25% penalty in home insurance and 40% on car insurance. Absolutely unacceptable. Ombudsman office does not do anything for their pathetic customer service either . THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I DEAL WITH ALLSTATE CANADA INSURANCE.
I have never completed an on line review of any company until today. After April's severe storm, I sent emails with no responses, left messages at the call center, no response. I finally got through to a customer agent months ago, made all of my complaints and concerns, and still no follow up from my local agents here in Ottawa. I was lucky enough to cold call a local Ottawa agent a few weeks ago who helped me with a policy pricing issue, he was excellent. He gave me the name of the manager to contact about all of my issues, I left a voice message, and not a single call back. This is beyond unacceptable!
Canceled my policy with these people Have had nothing but problems since there has been a new manager He never responds to emails and never returns calls It's almost impossible to get through to these people I had no problem when manager that retired was there This is the worst place to deal with They didn't even care nor did they reach out when I Canceled All I got was OK THEN That speaks volumes !!!!! I couldn't even get a proper answer as to why my insurance went up over $50 a month all I got was lame excuses Stay away if you don't want headaches

An agent named Katherine was very rude when I was trying to switch my policy to a new car. Basically cast me off like I didn’t matter. Called the 800 number and another agent from Markham was extremely nice and was able to make the adjustment in 20 minutes. I think they no longer care about having a good professional relationship with local and loyal customers. Since my previous agent has retired I guess the customer service retired with him. Not impressed!
I wouldn't recommend these guys. I bought home insurance for 1 year and their cost was above average. 5 weeks prior to my renewal date, I started getting phone calls about an additional inspection and some renovation needed for a ventilation pipe, leaving me little time to consider the changes. I tried to clarify with my adjuster, who basically said "well, you're outta luck!" and then reminded me that my insurance was about to expire. Not helpful at all.
I am extremely happy with Allstate. My agent, Al Patrois is very knowledgeable and has saved me over half of what I was paying with a competitor company. Well worth the free quote, wish I would have done it sooner! Al has also been extremely helpful when it came to navigating best options for my two teenagers ensuring they have the best coverage for their needs while getting the best rates. Thanks again Al!
I had Auto insurance with Allstate for the past 4 years in the United States. As I moved here, I thought of continuing with Allstate because of the good services I received from the past agency. They referred me to this agency. Bad move. After receiving a quote from them, I did follow up trying to purchase the Policy. Through Emails, Calls , VM. (agents kept dodging). guess that's how they operate.
Matthew provided me with a no obligation quote. He gave me the advice and guidance that I had not received from other insurance agents. There were gaps in my policy and now I have all the coverage I need and even saved a little money. As a result, I have referred friends and family to Matthew and they have switched their business as well! Thanks again Matthew for the great service and advice! Jeff
Had called several agents regarding questions to my policies, no resolution to my issues. (Not the same office) Al called me back immediately, knew the answer to every question, and immediately rewrote one of my policies to ensure my property was covered. Very professional and friendly, and offered additional resources to answer all of my questions regarding a Quebec property. Highly recommend

Just got off the phone with a lady on customer service and I’ve never experienced such rudeness from this company. I’ve been with Allstate 2 years and usually all good experiences but the woman on the phone talked very rudely to me and felt very degrading. All I was asking was if I could put a secondary driver on my insurance and she made me feel stupid. Do better.
Take a look at the location ratings, it is always one name that pops up Katherine. It is a good place to deal with but Scott has a lot of work to do with Katherine, she is rude and needs serious training on communication and honesty. Dealt with her couple weeks ago and it was a nightmare to talk too. For that reason your lost another good client.

Terrible service. They are not professional. No proper communication between Head Office and other Regional offices. Has caused much distress and hardship for me. Insurance companies are all crooks. Chose the lesser of Evils and please go to someone else.
Worse company ever! Was a loyal customer for years no changes to my driving record and they increased my monthly payment by $70/mth & refused to do anything about it. Went with Costco and now paying $110/mth. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

they are worse than other companies out of the blue they claim that my house grew by over 700 sq feet and raised my rate substantially. Buyer beware!!!
