This complaint is for Alton Dental at Applebee & Dundas St, Burlington, Ontario and specifically Dr. Deghani. Completely unprofessional. Alton Dental receptionist and Dr. Deghani is not telling me about the procedure and cost prior to do anything and what will happen. This office is only to book appointments and get the bill. Yes make money, dose not care about your time and just to pay more and more make them happier. About a month ago, I called them just to ask for an appointment to refill one of my tooth. Alton Dental receptionist gave me the time slot for 21 days later. After three weeks of waiting dentist Dr. Deghani examine my teeth for 5 minutes and charged me for emergency exam 75 $ plus 28 $ X-ray. It is interesting to note that the normal exam for all teeth is just 35 $. She asked me to come back another day, she did not have enough time to refill it, though. Yes, our time is not important, so I paid 103 $ for nothing, I knew my tooth has to be refilled....?!! It is interesting to note also that if I asked them for regular check up, they had to examine all my teeth and charged me only 35 $. She is crazy, isn't she.....??? Be careful, If you make an appointment, they contentiously call you send SMS and Email you. They contacted me for more than five times to make sure I go. However, when I went there for treatment they ask me to come back again to charge me more and more. I absolutely hate this way they are treating their patients.

The staff at this office are extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked the "office manager" if I would be able to get another print out of one of my dental receipts from 2016. I went there once and my experience was awful. They made me wait for over an hour for my first appointment and it was noisy and uncomfortable the whole time I was there. Her response to printing my receipt was ridiculous. She gave me two options (after I asked what options I had); either she prints it off and has it ready for me at the office immediately or she can email it to me but she can't do that until Monday because IT TAKES TOO LONG TO SCAN AND EMAIL ONE PAGE. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Anyone can print and scan a page in a matter of 2 minutes. I told her that I needed the information by today but that I can't get there in time before the office closed since I work in Toronto. She basically said too bad so sad and gave me no other option. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said she didn't have one... alright then. Overall, the absolute WORST customer service and she was so rude. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

If I could rate higher than a five I would. Despite being an adult, I have been afraid of the dentist - to the point where I strategically avoided going for several years. I finally decided late last year to face my fears and find a dentist. I could not have found a better location. ALL of the staff are amazing and treat me with respect, dignity and show total understanding. They ACTUALLY know your name when you go there (which amazes me).There was a receptionist before who was not a good fit, but she's no longer there, so service is much better! Though to this day, I can be anxious at the thought of going to the dentist, my anxiety levels are no where near what they used to be.I love that I do not feel judged at all when there and that they make me so comfortable. I cannot believe I am about to say this, but going to the dentist is actually okay. P.S. Dr. D is my dentist and she is amazing! So are her dental assistants, I especially enjoy Clare and Michelle but truthfully, all of them are amazing. P.P.S. They always have great treats in the wait room for their clients!

As someone who was absolutely terrified of the dentist prior to visiting Alton dental I can truly say they are amazing! They made me feel totally relaxed and explained every part of not only fillings but also wisdom tooth removals to me. From the moment I called them to set up an appointment to when I left after having a wisdom tooth pulled there was no pain and only seconds of discomfort. The environment is calming and the staff is AMAZING! I got my wisdom tooth out on a Saturday and the next day the receptionist called me to check up, even though their offices are closed on sundays. It’s small gestures like that that really win me over. There’s was not a moment where I doubted the capability or knowledge of the hands I put myself into. I was truly amazing! I could not recommend them more highly, I adore everyone at Alton Dental and thank them for helping me get through what I expected to be a lot of pain and finding out it was nothing!! ❤️ Couldn’t be more thankful

My hygienist was great, fast through and polite however if you need to get more than a cleaning forget it. I kept getting bounced from dentist to dentist. For some reason they can't retain them for more than a year before they evaporate. Last one no idea what the Dr's name was but she was the worst experience of all. Extremely rough and I've had plenty of dentists in my life but none like that. Terrible. Billing is awful, to submit claims is the worst becuase the codes are virtually impossible to get on the bill then they call and harass you to come back and pay the bill later because they can't get it right with insurance. Changing dentist offices, I've had enough.

They have advertised cleaning + xray + polish gor $99. But don't fall for it as this proved to be a trap for us. The first session included only xray and partial cleaning. No polish. My wife got stuck with a temporary hygienist who kept cribbing about how the clinic made her work extra hours. Now they want to book a second session again for $99 where there is no need for x-rays and hopefully they will find time for polish. So all in all, they are charging $198 for cleaning + xray + polish. This is the normal rate on the higher side. I am seeing many good reviews for Dr. Christian. So insist gor him and keep as far away as possible from this temporary hygenist

I have been going to Alton Dental for a few years now and am very glad I switched dental offices, and brought my family over too. The staff are all very nice and make for a very relaxing stress-free visit. The hygienists and dentists are all great, I have had a few procedures over the years and they have all been very comfortable and pain free (I used to have some anxiety over dental visits but not since I started coming here). They are also great with kids! My daughter has been coming here since she was 2 and has no troubles whenever we come. She had a cavity done by Dr. T and giggled through the whole procedure. I would recommend this office to anyone!

I like going to Alton Dental because they are all friendly and always call me by name and ask how I am. The dental hygenist and dentist always takes care as they know I do not like having dental work done so I do not get stressed. I like the way the waiting area is set up with the old fashioned chairs, the coffee maker and the TV. It feels very welcoming. I recently had a new upper denture and required many trips to see the denturist and I was able to get appointments when I was available to come to the office. All in all this is a great place to come!!!

After 27 years with one dentist, we were in need of a new dentist after his retirement. We feel very lucky to join the Alton Dental Family. Kind and personal office staff who take the time to get to know you, a cozy eclectic waiting area stocked with healthy snack and entertainment. The dentist office is modern and clean, and none of us have ever felt rushed by a dentist. Their communication is varied and meets the needs of a modern family (text reminders) or an old school phone call if you need that too! Feel respected and valued as a client!

After careful consideration evaluating all the dental straightening procedures available, I found Alton Dental offering the Six Month Smile and went for it! Just about 1/2 way thru and so far the experience has been rewarding! Very cost effective considering what other dental offices are charging for similar procedures. Alton Dental has my recommendation for this particular procedure and I hoping my enthusiastic support amongst my co-workers will result in more patients for Alton Dental!

Had a great recent experience at Alton Dental. The dental hygienist, Christian, was not only skilled but also a fun guy to be around. His friendly and welcoming personality instantly put me at ease. The cleaning was thorough and painless. The dental work done by Dr. Zena was also extremely thorough and professional. Wonderful first experience at Alton Dental on Appleby/Dundas. Very friendly staff from the moment I inquired over the phone for a cleaning. Transitioning as a new client was easy and seamless thanks to the wonderful receptionists. Christian was informative, gentle and humorous! My teeth felt new after the cleaning and he also provided me with great education. Dr. Zena was lovely and kind. I really appreciated all the care from beginning to end!

I find Alton Dental a great office to go to. They are friendly, pleasant and welcoming. Christian the hygienist is very gentle and lightens the atmosphere with his humour, and best of all does a great job!! I find their pricing is very affordable since I am a senior with no insurance! All the dentist work I have had to date has been very good and I have no complaints. Their new renovations are very modern and very pleasing.

In the past I have avoided the dentist due to very bad experience's in childhood and very bad teeth. And I was always in so much pain after every visit! I needed very extensive dental work done and found the Alton dental team, listen to my fears, made me feel so comfortable that I decided to have the work done! During a 2-3 week period I had a consultation, initial exam, cleaning, surgery, and got a periodontal appliance and consequently dealt with the office staff, 3 different dentists and various hygenists/assistants throughout this period. Everyone was absolutely fantastic--friendly, helpful, caring, professional and efficient. I am so happy that I've switched from my previous dentist to Alton Dental.

I use to dread going to the dentist, but now that I go to Alton dental that has changed. From the minute you walk in the door you feel welcomed. My dental hygienist Pam feels more like a friend. Even though she only sees me every six months, she’ll remember past conversations. She really seems to care for her patients. The dentist is very friendly and has a clamness about him which is comforting.

My visit to Alton Dental is always very pleasant. The front desk is welcoming and the waiting room is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Reem is a fantastic hygienist and I have always had a great experience with Romana and Dr. Davidson for my appointments. 10/10 would recommend. They are all gentle, listen and work with your comfort levels. Best dental office i’ve been to !

I needed some dental work done and chose this office on a whim and I’m glad I did. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming, as well as streamlined and efficient. My insurance claims were handled quickly, the hours are great, and the quality of work is phenomenal. I also wanted to give a shout-out to Christian the hygienist and the front staff for making the visits so pleasant.

I absolutely love the all of the staff and the services provided by Alton Dental. The team is very professional and polished (no pun intended!). My daughter, who had a bad experience at the age of 4, was fearful of dentists, that was until she met... Dr. Tabesh. She now not only loves going to the dentist, she asks when we can go again!!!! After getting a crown done by a dentist who has to be over 80!, it broke less then 6 months later. I went back to have it fixed they charged me! Those are supposed to be permanent. And cost over 1000. I complained and they just looked at the ground and said we are charging you. I switched to a way better dentist who guarantees their work for 1 year. Avoid this place.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Jafri today for a filling. I needed some sedation. He was very attentive and checked on me regularly. I went in very anxious and was at ease once I left. My Hygienist was very gentle. I felt like I got a great cleaning. Front desk was super friendly and overall atmosphere was great. Inhave since referred some family. Great job.

Dr Jaffri, who took over Dr Brown’s practice, reviewed my file during my regular checkup and saw that something was not done right and needed fixing. He fixed it for me free of charge (I had no idea as I did not feel anything was amiss). I really appreciate this gesture and his hard work. The new staff is excellent and very efficient and friendly as well.

My husband Dennis had a tooth extracted as a part of implant placement in the very near future. Dr Byatt was amazing during the whole procedure. The Hygienist Arya very calm and patient made him comfortable during his cleaning as well. Kelly is beyond amazing arranging everything to make sure all goes smoothly and on time. Thank you all.

I went there yesterday with the bottom-right of my mouth in total pain, and left an hour and a half later problem solved. Within 2 hours of arriving home I was eating a delicious meal pain free. On Friday October the 13th I got my 6 month cleaning, and do my teeth ever feel fresh and look ✨ sparkling . SARAH did terrific thorough work.

I have been having dental work done by Dr. Brown and his staff for 25 years. The whole staff is welcoming and friendly making the experience pleasant. I feel like I am seeing friends when I go there. They are very accommodating with scheduling last minute appointments and making the experience worthwhile. It's worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Our family recently changed to this dental office from another office in Burlington. We are so impressed with the modern technologies and the thoroughness of the check-ups. Staff are friendly and very accommodating when it comes time to scheduling appointments around work and childcare. We are so glad we made the switch!

What I really like about Alton Dental. Is the staff. They are very polite they make you feel welcome. They all have great personalities. They office is clean and set up very nice. Great experience every time, from reception to hygienist to dentist, super professional and polite, friendly but can also get down to business to do work in a timely manner. Not overly pushy with recommendations for procedures. Needed a home dentist after moving from Toronto, and glad to have found this place.

I have been scared of the dentist since an incident as a child and have never enjoyed going, until I became a patient of Alton Dental. A friend referred me and after a couple visits I found myself looking forward to seeing the wonderful staff as oppose to fighting off nerves!

I have been there for an extraction.I was expecting some pain . Dr.Andrew Davidson saw that on my face and he assured me that everything will be just fine and he really did it . All the staff is very polite and professional.

The good - On-time, friendly. The bad - they will perform a "scheduled maintenance" and perform procedures on you which you may not even need. Just because they know you will be compensated by your insurance company.
