I have to change my review for Amart Furniture due to my recent bad experience with the Amart product and it's customer service (not Amart Moonah Sales Team). I bought Settler 7pcs Dining Set, and I found out that ALL of 6 chairs were not well finished (still have rough surface, especially the back support) and one of the chair cannot be assembled due to the wrong screw holes placement. And to make this story worst, the table top has long crack (approx 50cm). Immediately I sent report to the customer care (with pictures), and then went to Amart Moonah. The display items (we checked the chairs) were perfectly sanded and polished. Smooth and shiny - as what I wanted. Met with the staff there and explained our situation, and they said sorry for what happened, but cannot help because we have to send complaint to customer care. The nightmare starts when I have to contact customer care. It seems she didn't care even when I tried to explain what the problems are. Call for 30 minutes, no pick up. Sent email with pictures, they simply said "we didn't receive it. It was not in our system." Once all picture received (resent the pictures when still calling them) and asked what are my options, they told me that "we will check the pictures you sent and we will take decision from these photos." Told them pictures may not be able to show the rough surface, poor finishing, how severe the crack on the table top, but she said they will. In rush. Just want to finish the call as soon as possible. After couple of days (longer than what they promised), I received email from Amart offering (tiny amount of) discount for chairs and table. Total was less than 10%, but we have to keep the item as they are, and they wrote that the discount is given because of the items were "Poor Finish". I don't understand what they think of having 50cm crack on table top is considered as "poor finish" as well as the one chair that cannot be assembled. I checked couple of forums, and it is confirmed that Amart customer service is really really bad. I will never consider getting furniture from Amart again. This issue hasn't resolved yet. I will change the rating if something good come up. At this moment, if negative rating is allowed, I gave Amart Customer Care team minus 100.

Good stock levels, decent quality products on offer. Staff were a little pushy but it was the end of June and probably have EOFY sales to achieve. Floor layout seemed to flow well and it was easy to see which area to go to when looking for specific items. We went to fantastic furniture after visiting Amart and must say Amart had significantly more stock, floor space, better layout and better quality items on offer. Staff at Amart were also more attentive and store was well maintained and clean.

Therefore, we had to use the duct tape to make it tight cuz we already started to assemble. 50/50 satisfied with the product. Hope it lasts longer Besides, very friendly staffs both sales one and warehouse ones. Beautiful store.

Had a great experience buying an expensive couch. They discounted the price at purchase time due to an upcoming sale, then just before delivery it was included in another sale, so they refunded the difference! That process took about 1min on the phone. In this Moonah store I've always had a great experience, and the staff have always been personable, casual, and available. Well done!

Every time I shoot smart Moonah they have never had the item in stock, especially when on sale. The last item took 3 months to arrive and then after waiting sooo long ,after being given the impression it was assembled, turned up in a kit form, once put together was completely out of whack so that the drawers couldn't close. Very disappointed and angry

Maybe some people like the staff but I certainly did not. One gut came up to assist us and mentioned some garble about not having a liquor licence. Other staff smelt of terribly cheap perfumes. Regarding the furniture, the price and quality wasn't good so we went to Ashley Furniture. Beat to avoid this place.

How this place is still in business I don’t know!! Nothing ever in stock, wait times are ridiculous! I purchased 4 chairs online, saying they were in stock at my local store. Received a call to say they won’t be there til April! Don’t have a sale if you can’t keep up with demand.

Went instore after seeing a lounge I liked. In the Tasmanian store $500 more due to transport costs.Thats fine but put it on your website. Salesman says people complain about it constantly. And then there is the 3 month wait for it to get to store.

Wow I was looking for outdoor furniture and had been disappointed at other furniture stores only as other stores had already sold out of a lot of products, but Amart had heaps to offer at reasonable prices.

My partner Joey and I went into the store on the 25th of June and Jordan assisted us, we couldn’t have had a better experience. We highly recommend him, if you need anything from this store he is your guy!

Terrible forever... Avoid if you can. Avoid Amart as a whole, not only in Hobart.
