ControversyEdit At the start of the 2010-11 I-League season Indian Arrows was expected to play its I-League matches at the stadium but due to the stadium owners, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), holding non-sporting events like parties and weddings on the pitch the pitch looked a mess every single day which forced Indian Arrows to play their matches at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon.

The field is well maintained. Location is also great. Nearby metro station and bus stands also easy access to the stadium. Small scale matches of football are organised. The only thing I felt that could be improved are the stands and the sanitation facilities. Most of the stands are open, without any shelter or cover to prevent the heat. Instead of proper seats, there are stone made rows for people to sit. The cementing near the seats are also broken at some points. The toilets are very dirty and filthy and are located quite far from the stadium amongst the administrative blocks of the stadium.

India doesn't have too many football-specific grounds and this one is an old gem. Ambedkar Stadium has seen some ofnthe best football matches played by the Indian team. This was the very venue when India won the AFC Challenge Cup to qualify for the 2011 Asian Cup. Former coach Bob Houghton loved the fact that just 15k people could fill this stadium up and enough to intimidate the opposition. Visited the stadium during the 2016 Durand Cup. Hope they maintain it well and build on the infrastructure.
Another one of those awesome places to play football like the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium. The infrastructure and the pitch is not as good that at JLN but very good none the less. The stadium is easy to get to via the metro and is just at arm's length from the Delhi gate Metro station. Right next to it is the Feroze Shah cricket stadium as well and there is plenty you can do in the surrounding areas. Never a dull moment.

The stadium has hosted international football finals such as the 2007 nehru cup Final and the 2009 nehru cup Final, in which it attracted a capacity crowd. It is near by delhi gate Metro Station on violate line..
Very good stadium of football, I played football several times here , a good grass but uneven field. Outfield is good , seats are good for spectators . The view from everywhere 360 degree. The most important thing is how to reach this stadium. So Delhi gate metro station is the answer. Just take gate number 4 for exit and you will be on the entry gate of the stadium.
I visited there while passing by it on my visit to Shaheedi Park and Feroz Shah Kotla. I found it nicely maintained stadium for football matches as suggested by the team names there, which would have practice or play in that stadium. Not found water facility or washrooms near the gate, but I am sure they wouldn't be missing.
Watched the England-New Zealand worldt20 2016 semifinal here. The experience was good, but the food available inside is not good and expensive due to monopoly. Moreover, tickets are sold for seats that are exactly behind the pillars and there is no other way for the spectator to watch the match, but sit on the stairs.
An excellent venue to watch football as the playing arena is close to the spectators gallery. People can get involved in the Nath, player recognition is easy. Also it is well connected by Metro and gate 4 of Delhi gate metro station opens near main entrance of Ambedkar stadium. Best venue for football in Delhi
The Ambedkar Stadium, located near the Delhi Gate metro station at Feroz Shah Kotla, is a football ground named after Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the father of Indian constitution. It has hosted international football matches in the past. It also hosts the Subroto Cup national youth football tournament annually.
Went for IPL match on a Monday evening. Getting into the stadium was a mess. Un controlled crowd, people pushing each other like a total stampede. Horrible horrible experience, you could potentially suffocate . Once inside it was alright. Not recommend to go with family or friends for IPL!!
Located in feroze shah kotla. I went there to watch the FOOTBALL match. It was due to help of my office. The moment of watching the football match was just awesome. Going there and watch a match will definitely be a good idea to have a great day. We got refreshment and enjoyed a lot.
Ambedkar stadium is the football ground It is very well maintain football ground Here grassroot level matches and highlevel matches played like I league Senior devision matches. Here Refree practice is also takes place Every sunday Delhi Refree’s practice here .
Place is easily accessible via road. Parking is limited. Do not park on the road as the chances of your car being towed are really high. Seats are broken, ground is in very good condition although small. Seats are dirty. Maintainance should be better.
It is the best stadium in Delhi in terms of view from the stands and its a treat to watch football from there. The stadium has a little as 500 seats in 4 stands and all other stands are seatless. Its easier to get there from Delhi gate metro station.
Well if you're a football player you know what Ambedkar stadium is all about. Ground is perfect but sitting area must need improvement. If you want to watch football go and watch senior division league and support Delhi football.. #Ambedkarstadium
A stadium with very less facilities. Although well connected with metro and road, the place is not up to mark. No major tournaments are carried out here. Some local football teams do practice here. No covered seating arrangements for viewers.
This stadium is especially for football matches. It is exactly located at Delhi Gate. Delhi Metro's Voilet line (Line-6) is best connected with this stadium. Delhi Gate metro station Gate No. 4 is exactly exit side for the stadium.
I visited the football stadium today to support Hops FC. Overall, the stadium was good, but there’s room for improvement. The atmosphere was vibrant, and facilities were decent, yet enhancements could elevate the fan experience.
It's good for footballers but it can develop more and while I was there it was raining so the washroom was filled with water and needed good management .The infrastructure is not good from inside , it should be well maintained
Here at Ambedkar Stadium........you got a big auditorium and this place is awesome for any launches or any big fuction. Also this auditorium is surrounded with good quality speakers. It is famous for its old football ground.
Nice football stadium. Major football event are held here in Delhi. Tamchon North East annual football tournament is also held here. The nearest metro station, Delhi Gate on the Violent line is not more than 10 meter away.
This place is near to Ambedkar stadium bus stop on Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg. You will find lots of mouse some small and some very big. People who worship Karni mata uses to visit this place and feed these mouses. …
Not ok good place small playground for football live matches like State wise match I league not clean very dirty inside playground it's pretty good place to play football or something else the sitting area is very dirty.
Old stadium largely used for football matches. The most popular tournament played here is the Subroto Cup. This year the tournament is being played in the last week of September. Seats are ok. Parking is at a distance.
Awareness place Ambedkar Stadium as it is known for its excellence and it is a very old Stadium that has been built in Delhi and I have been a regular visited of this place for playing different type of sports
Nice football stadium at the heart of the city with concrete gallery and few seatings on the lower tier. Galleries offer good view of the pitch, habe some public amenities like toilets and sufficient parking.
It was an exceptional experience to visit a stadium when it is empty. There was maintenance work was going on and we got the chance. I have visited there quite a long ago. The stadium was really nice.
Ambedkar Stadium in Situated Prime Location Main Road Delhi Gate N.Delhi This stadiam is Arrangements of International Cricket Match and PhoothBall Match . Very Nice arrangements by Management
It's a fine ground, and a home ground for football club. No/ less facilities for drinks and snacks. No proper seats, but environment is nice. It is constructed behind Feroz shah kotla stadium.
Ambedkar stadium is the only stadium in delhi where international matches held and that is why it is beautifuly constructed and also maintained on a regular basis, stands are well designed. …
It's an amazing stadium with a seating for a big crowd but there is no water tanks You have to go outside the stadium for water which has no big deal but it would be better if they had it
The well maintained Stadium with a nest green field and beautifully painted gallery and clean and neat washrooms. I played one tournament here and the ground is much comfortable to play
It is a nice stadium to watch cricket. The Test match ticket price is only 100 rupess. But some metro construction work is going around the stadium. Quiet difficult to enter the stadium
Good professional ambience. Washrooms aren't clean and there is a lot of sewage. As for the ground, grass is soft but the ground is very patchy. Grass-less spots and uneven ground.
Beautiful ground suborto cup is going on here right now Afghanistan vs Chattisgarh Afghanistan won by 8-1 Beautiful game played by Afghani team It basically a football ground
They provided good quality service, also very humble. Easy to connect and simple process to rent medical equipment for your dear ones at reasonalble price. Great service!!
I watched MINERVA PUNJAB vs Indian Air Force here and the champions of India - Minerva Punjab FC were victorious once again. Amazing Atmosphere and A Nice Stadium!!!
It's good! Bathrooms and lift facilities available. Mode of transport is the best when travelled by metro. As it is just 5 steps from the exit. Parking available.
One of the best football field in the Delhi and also in India.. Need to maintain more, Cleaning n Maintainaines of infrastructure is not good.. …
It's such good footballing stadium. Stands closer to the pitch. Atmosphere of the match is enhanced by the fans due the closeness between the fans and players.
Good Stadium for football practice. Very well maintained. Nearest metro station is Delhi gate. Water is available here but better you bring your own water.
Good stadium for football matches.greenary on the ground and seating arrangement are good.only one side of stadium is shaded where spectators are seating.
Stadium is famous for organising reputed Indian football tournaments. Ambedkar stadium is second football stadium of the city. Stadium is neat and clean.
Just go and visit this place, but take permission from authority first. Nothing to see but you can explore how the sports ground and stadium looks like.
This stadium is may be very good. The parking facilities is may be very we'll. This is situated take exit of gate no 4 from Delhi Gate Metro station.
This is very small stadium only for football but seating space is enough. Metro stn delhi gate is at walking distance. Stadium is also cleaned
Ambedkar Stadium is very good place for visit. Here and there very Rush but ok Nearest Red fort and Jamamaszid . Also near to Rajghat. …
Small stadium, in good condition but sitting arrangements are poor. Less chairs are available.. people have to sit on concrete platform
It's the one of the good stadium in Delhi but I'm summer season and rainy most of sitting place is not available due to uncover roof
I went there to watch the Santosh trophy match, all the things are average in the stadium but the toilets are not cleaned properly.
Takes some time to find the correct gates. Also, please dont carry any coins/headphones as they are not allowed inside stadium.
This stadium has decent seating capacity. Many football tournaments take place here and most of the time there is free entry.
Free entry for local football league games. Not a lot of amenities but they do not stop you from bringing food from outside.
Ambedkar Stadium is the same stadium that you and I see on TV IPL matches are held at this place. This stadium is too big
Football ground here. Entry gate no. 4 is adjacent to Delhi Gate metro station gate no.4 . Nice stadium for tournaments.
Stadium is good but you have to bear the scorching heat if it's sunny. Only limited space is available with roof ......
Nice stadium. I have watched many football matches here. It's very nostalgic going there.... Just love it....
Legendary stadium home of the Indian footballing giants from the past just need some renovation and cleaning
Not maintained properly. Hope the govt does something for better upkeep of stadiums and parks in Delhi
Bahut attack India mein ticket kitne ka hai yah bataiye kahan padta hai aur iska ka naam bhi bataiye
One of the iconic and best football stadium in India... It can be developed more from good to best
It’s good gracy and greenery, but sitting chairs and toilet was even not cleaned. So disappointed.
यहाँ पर फुटबॉल खेल जाता है। डीएसए द्वारा इसका रखरखाव किया जाता है। दिल्ली गेट संख्या4 के साथ हैं।
Its good. Near metro delhi gate. Walking distance within 20 to 350 m from the stadium gate.
Football stadium. Sanitation is very poor. Authorities need to improve their management
Very good for footballers. Has stood the test of time and is in a very good condition.
Good to witness final match of Girls Football organised by DASC Society. 9-12 Dec 21
Small and compact, easy accessibility from metro station, better toilets are needed
Not clean and very dirty and smell come from dressing room and garbage at ground
Well maintained ground and good staff to manage the ground and facilities.
