Well, first off, I LOVE this place. I would go back all of the time if I could -- but as expected from any spa, it's a bit too pricy for that. I received a few services as a gift through email on a Friday night. I called that same night and they were able to book me for an appointment the next day -- I liked that a lot, the fact that they cared enough to make room for me. On that Saturday, I went in for a Signature Deluxe Manicure & 30 Minute Deep Tissue Massage. The very nice receptionist handed me a hot cup of ginger-peach tea and a clipboard to fill out while she led me to my private room, to change into a robe. After I filled everything out, I went to get my nails done first. I had Alice, who was one of the nicest and genuinely friendly nail technicians I have ever met. She made me feel super relaxed as she did my nails -- she helped me make a lot of decisions, from ideal length to perfect polish. She even smuggled me a cup of mint tea to soothe my oncoming sore throat. That hour flew by and before I knew it, it was time for my massage. Jessie met me back at my room and led me to the massage room, which was warm and dark and extremely relaxing. That was the best massage I've ever had, albeit it was the first professional one, it was AMAZING. When it was over, I knew that I would be coming back -- everyone was so nice and professional! The best part is that, despite the fact that I messed up the colour on a few of my nails during the massage, the receptionist was very nice about it and scheduled me for a "Fix-It" appointment the next day. I loved this place! I would totally recommend it to anyone I know, especially because the staff was very pleasant and worked very hard to make you comfortable, and it showed. (I feel like I should mention somewhere here that it was my first time at a spa, but it definitely won't be my last!)

Ananya Spa prides itself on being dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience in an environment of unparalleled relaxation and sophistication. I was definitely not feeling relaxed during the rushed massage and at the check out. I got a lecture from the supervisor on duty Danielle who let me know several times that I was late. About me being late. She is right, I was 20 minutes late to my appointment and I had called in twice and apologized for it a couple of times. Danielle said that it happens and that they would still accommodate me. Clean slate right? Wrong! I would have preferred it if they took my money and penalized me for being late than for making me feel guilty the entire visit. They definitely made me remember that I was late, from my mediocre massage from Meghan who seemed inconvenienced by me and the harassment from Danielle who let me know that they had booked me for a 60min sports massage when in all actuality I had booked for a 30min session. She told me that they did not offer a 30 minute sports massage on location or on their website and made me look like a complete idiot in front of her staff member Sarah. I pulled up their website on my phone and made sure to double check that I was indeed not crazy or making things up. Their website clearly states that they offer a 30 min sports massage. I went back to let them know and ended up speaking to Sarah who was a lot more reasonable and understanding. She apologized for Danielle's actions and completely owned the fact that they had made an error. Sarah is the only reason I will be going back to redeem my remaining credit at Ananya Spa. Danielle needs to humble herself and accept when she is wrong. It would not hurt her if she got familiarized with their massage hours, pricing and website in general.

This place was VERY nice, the fanciest massage place I’ve ever been to (and I regularly get massages). I got a couples massage for my partners birthday. Booking was easy online a couple weeks beforehand. The prices are pretty darn high. Once you arrive they have you undress in a changing room with lockers and put on a robe and sandles. Unfortunately the robe didn’t fit (one standard size, not for plus sized people) which was very awkward. There’s a waiting room full of people in robes waiting to be taken back, which also felt awkward. I will say because of the changing room situation (one small nook behind a curtain) you have to wait since lots of people get there at the same time. So, I was about 15 mins late to my massage which is a big waste of time and money. I wish I’d known about the changing room situation beforehand so I could arrive earlier (also note that you CAN enter earlier if you have the first appointment at opening). After changing they had me take a quiz to determine which essential oils would be used. I found this very silly, and it asks non scent related questions and comes up with a blend, for me was something like peppermint and lime which I have no desire for that combination to be on my skin. So that wasted more time and seemed silly, I’d much rather just be asked which scents I like. The massage itself was pretty standard, the therapist didn’t seem to be any better than any other massage place, considering the price. Overall, it was very frustrating to miss so much of my massage due to the lengthy check in process. I paid $500 for a 90min couples massage, which I regret after the experience. It’s an okay place, perfectly nice with friendly staff, but I won’t be spending my time or money here again.

I've been to Ananya Spa for the past 3 years and the service has been nothing short of excellent. However today that was not the case. Unfortunately, I was 2 mins late because my car had a flat tire and I had to Uber to the place of business. I received a text at 9:01 if I was still coming and when I walked in at 9:02 I was met by a very rude white female desk attendant with dreads. She told me that I couldn't put on my robe because I was late and I was taken aback by that because that has never happened to me at Spa Ananya. There have been several instances in which the spa has been running behind and I have been on time so I had to wait longer and I gave the spa grace that I was not given. The spa should give their desk attendants a lesson on cultural appropriation, microaggressions, and customer service before they berate their customers about being 2 mins late. I could see if I had been 15 minutes late but I was 2 minutes late and more than willing to have a shorter facial. The way I was communicated with was not okay. Once we cleared up the miscommunication, I was able to put on my robe and have my facial but I was so taken aback and stressed that I couldn't enjoy the facial. A complete waste. I hope this was just a one off but I was extremely disappointed.

After several days of pounding the pavement in our first visit to Seattle, I decided that a massage was the perfect remedy. Reviews for Ananya were very positive and--even better--it was just a half-mile from our hotel. I loved the ability to make the reservation easily on the website--something I really appreciated on a Sunday morning for a Monday appointment--and the text and phone confirmations were great. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, Christopher did a great job of getting at my trouble spots on my neck and shoulders. The massage room was very nice as was the locker room. Not being pushed into adding extra services was a nice touch as well. The only reason I can't give Ananya five stars is that in both the locker room and my massage room, a staff member entered--or attempted to enter--without knocking. That this happened twice in the same visit indicates that this is general practice, though why such a basic rule of massages isn't followed is odd and mildly disturbing.

I had my very first full day spa experience at Ananya. What an absolute treat. All of the ladies were so professional and really treated me as an individual. I learned so many new things about my body that day and I'm a nurse! Julianne did a wonderful job taking such fantastic care of my skin. She taught me so many new things about how to solve my acne problem and the facial truly made my skin feel so smooth and young! Meaghan gave me a phenomenal massage which was incredibly relaxing and really worked out the tension in this nurses back! Kristen gave me my first Brazilian and was such a professional through the whole process. The pain was very minimal thanks to her! Alisha gave me an incredible Mani/Pedi and was so down to earth and easy to talk to. My feet are so smooth too! All the the ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful with products as well as very welcoming! What a team you have Julianne! I highly recommend this spa!

This place makes me want to move to Seattle. I came here while on a business trip and Gerard gave me one of the best massages of my life. I've had many, many massages. I have several autoimmune problems. He read (through his hands) my body very, very well and I wish I could have come back to him week after week. Besides Gerard's incredible skills (and kind and gentle spirit), the environment was perfect. Loved the robe and being able to change in advance. Also loved the seriousness they took with the aromatherapy portion of my massage. Best I've ever seen! (They even gave me the leftover scented oil in a bottle to take home, which I sadly left.) Never seen a place do this before! Oh, another first! The massage bed could bend and "fold"! Never seen that before. This enabled Gerard to get me into more specific, exact, helpful positions. I'll be back next time in I'm Seattle!! Thank you Gerard!

Yes it is as good as it gets. I am pretty regular at Anya's.We are IT family, which means a lot of living in different cities and a lot of experience with spas and beauticians. Took me two years to find the best in Seattle. They are right there in this spa. It is also the best products that this spa relentlessly suggests to its clients that makes it so appealing. Winter time the ever best Oxygen facial performed with the newest Oxygen machine and using Luzern products, and now spring into summer Bio-brasion facial. I have just done this one. I never felt the gentle device working on my skin, but this one completely deprives your skin of any hidden pimples or blackheads, any dirt and closes your pores. When one is finished with this facial one stares into mirror seeing renewed gentle and glowing skin. Julianne, of course is a master of delivering perfection. Highly recommend the experience.

I went in today for a facial and back facial. Upon my arrival I was given a cup of ginger peach tea and a clipboard with paperwork to fill out, then led to a private room. After being given a robe and slippers, I was told to take my time. They asked reasonable questions (e.g., if I had taken Accutane, if I liked steam) and the overall atmosphere, with dim lights and quiet music, was soothing. I had Kate work with me on a back facial and signature facial. As I'm a chatterbox, I didn't treat it as a truly soothing spa experience - Kate and I went on tangents about biology and schoolwork. But Kate is a master of her work, and her enthusiasm is contagious. I definitely enjoyed my time there. I do have one suggestion: do not get a facial unless you don't mind having anime-fluffy bangs. I was amused by the outcome, but I went in expecting my hair to come out looking silly.

I pulled a muscle in my back while working from home and was struggling to get any work done because the pain was awful. After two days of struggling, I finally decided to see if Ananya had any availability. I am so glad they were able to get me in on the same day! The massage was exactly what I needed -- targeted, consistent, professional. They took my pain from a 9/10 to a 3/10. They gave me some info on how to stretch my psoas muscles, which was very much appreciated. I also appreciated their COVID precautions. I haven't been out at all since the new restrictions came in and I was worried about how it would work at a spa. I think their precautions (changing in the massage room, wearing a mask for services, no visitors in the waiting room, staggering appointments) were very well thought out and helpful. I felt safe coming here and would return!

When we walked in, we were greeted by two lovely ladies who checked me in and took me to the changing room where they provided a robe and slippers. First treament was a body scrub, can I just say totally worth it, super relaxing and leaves you feeling so smooth. The second treatment of the day was a massage. What can I say, who doesn't love a good rub down. Last treatment of the day was a facial, I went in there with quite a bit of reservation, some facials leave you looking like you lost a battle with a beehive due to the extractions but my facialist had the softest touch and although they performed some extractions the slight redness I experienced went away within hours. All 3 treatments are magnificent on their own, but together, I felt like a total princess. It's a bit pricey, but most spa are.

I have been going to Ananya Spa since it opened its doors many years ago. I do not even live in Seattle anymore but every time I come back I book a treatment with Julianne. I always get amazing treatment from the entire staff here. This last visit, I had the Microneedling treatment coupled with an Oxygen facial. My recovery time was almost instant (compared to an average of 2 days, which we attribute to the oxygen facial) and the results are amazing, I've been staring at my skin all day in the mirror because the treatment literally took years off my skin! I also have been using their new product line Luzern which I think enhances the benefits of the facial. I'm thrilled with the results and look 10 years younger. I Highly recommend this treatment and highly highly recommend this spa!

The aesthetician did the message with gloves, no body likes to get the facial with a rubber glove. She also did not do the head message, she only message the head band. I booked an appointment for gemstone massage and it was exactly like the signature massage and even then the time she spent on my skin was May be 30 mins. If both are exactly same why do you charge more money for one over the other? I get facial every month and this massage has made one thing clear for me, Never to go to ananya spa ever again. I have been there before and Shani worked on my skin and she was good. No complains with her, but Minorka I would never recommend anybody. Overall I did not come out feeling good after the facial and I want to go somewhere where I get treated well and a facial without gloves.

Had a horrible experience at Ananya spa. I had opted for their signature facial massage. After the facial, I have been getting a lot of pimples and my face keeps itching. I even called them to tell about it but they just didn't acknowledge it. I didn't have any pimples or itching before visiting them, so it is definitely because of their facial. Details of the facial: I was seen by Minorka. 5mins after starting it, she told that she doesn't know how to massage and it was merely a description on their website. I started wondering what a place is this, full of liars. A little later she told me she has not been taught how to work on the darker skin. I felt like getting up and leaving but it was too late :( Won't visit them again.

This place is amazing! I am always careful where I put my spa dollars and hesitate anytime I try somewhere new, however my money and skin were placed in amazing hands at Ananya. Julianne gave me the most amazing oxygen and microdermabrasion facial. I cannot believe how great my skin felt right after and then over the next few days I was surprised at how my skin looked even better each morning. I am not a facial person so this was a bit of a surprise that these treatments actually deliver what they promise. I am in love with this place. Also, I bought several Luzern products and they have been worth every cent. I feel like I am on my way to a healthier and younger complexion. Thank you so much Julianne and Ananya. xoxo

I went for a nail tech interview today. I was at time but the owner had me waiting for almost one and half hour, because the other lady who suppose to take my interview was busy. That was very unprofessional. Plus the owner took advantage of me and asked me to give her a hand and feet massage.Well I was not there to give her free massage,but I been nice to her and she took massage from me for almost an hour,which I realized later that she just used me to relax her hands and feet. That was very rude and wrong.Finally the other lady called me for the test and instead of giving me a chance to show her my work, she just ordered me around. They took my full 2 hours and just wasted my time. I'm very disappointed with them

My husband and I have been getting massages and other care-taking from Julianne, the owner, for at least 10 years now. Julianne is a natural at massage, facials, and all things spa. More importantly, she is constantly getting training and studying, and providing training to all the folks who work for her. As she progressively expands her services, she makes it possible to get whatever you need at Ananya: a wonderful massage, the perfectly tailored facial, manicure, waxing, and more. Oh, try a pedicure in the new private pedi-room. If something isn't right, tell her. She will make it right.

I've gone here a few times now for Hydrofacials, brows (wax & tint), and "other" waxings. I always request Robin O. She is the best esthetician I've found in years! She is very professional, informative, friendly and she knows her stuff! Since I've been seeing her, all my friends tell me my face looks amazing! Overall the spa seems great and I even ventured out there recently. They took huge steps to make sure things were safe and sanitized during the visit and Robin wore her mask the whole time. I felt pretty safe as a "high risk" individual.

I had an appointment on Saturday at 1:30 pm and gave a call to the receptionist, Jordan, a call saying that I would be a little late due to a traffic accident. She let me know to continue coming to my appointment. I was then told that I would be charged in full for being late to my appointment, $210.00. This is absolutely ridiculous. I would like to have all of my money reimbursed since there was no service given. I do not want to have to take further measures in this but I am hopeful that you will understand the situation I am in.

this was my first time getting a professional massage done. my boyfriend took me here for a mini session. 25 minutes i believe. we did arrive about 5 minutes late so we were a bit rushed, but the masseuse did a great job in making us feel comfortable and relaxed. the ambiance was soothing and the masseuse had great technique to work out some of my stubborn neck knots. it wasn't the cheapest, but also not the most expensive in the area. i would recommend this place and will come back in the future for more.

I’ve had multiple massage therapists over the last few years trying to find the perfect one and I found them! Gerard at Ananya Spa is amazing at what he does. It feels like he’s using different tools on your back but it’s just his hands-it’s really cool! He really takes his time and actually works into the muscles to relieve tension. I always feel brand new after. The staff here are kind and I love the relaxing ambiance they create. Definitely my favorite spa in Seattle.

I was visiting Seattle from out of town and wanted to treat myself to a spa day! It ended up being my favorite part of the trip. From the moment I walked into the spa I felt cozy and relaxed. Mia at the front desk was super warm and friendly and took great care of me. Then for my facial - there are no words for how amazing Kat was! Her facial massage and skin knowledge blew me away. I am already planning another return trip to Seattle. Thanks for being the best spa!

My husband and I booked a couples massage here during our honeymoon. This was our first experience getting a massage and Bronson and Jay made us feel comfortable and were warm and inviting. They were also knowledgeable and helped us figure out what we wanted out of the massage. We felt so relaxed after! They also checked in with us after which we thought was very sincere. Overall, it was a great first experience and I highly recommend booking here!

I think the owner Julie is wonderful, and if you can get on the schedule with her, that’s great. She is very attentive and knowledgable, and you will definitely get a service well worth the money. I got an appointment with her by accident as a result of some last minute schedule changes. However, I feel like the other aestheticians at Ananya are not quite as great. The experiences never felt particularly premium with them.

My three girlfriends and I came in while we were on a trip to Seattle and it was a fabulous experience! The entire staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and we were all able to get different services at the same time. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed (the robes are amazing!) and the whole experience was a major highlight of our vacation. We will definitely be back when we're in Seattle again!

I took my daughter for her first massage when visiting her last week. When we left we said we felt like we were floating on clouds. Thank you so much for the professional and amazing service. The 80 minute massages were incredible. My therapist was so kind and gifted at massage. We will definitely be back! The booking and communication was excellent and the front of store staff great. Worth every penny!

I highly recommend Imani! I just got an aromatherapy massage, and she really paid attention to details that other massage therapists haven't for me. I've been looking for solutions to some back trouble I've been having for months, and I think I'm going to be a regular at least until my back is sorted out. The rest of the staff is also really friendly and inviting. Great overall experience :)

I was waiting on this one to post a review. It's been two weeks since my appointment, the appointment was actually great, service was very good. The esthetician provided a little context and we went straight to the facial. Post facial, after a few weeks now I guess my feeling is that previous experiences have shown better results. The place itself is designed well. Parking is very difficult

Came here for a couples massage and my girlfriend got a facial as well. The facial went well, besides some small hiccups. Our appointment was nearly moved on us, and when did show up we had to wait past our appointment time to get service. Besides that, the massage was nice. The massage however wasn’t deep enough, so much so that I fell asleep half way through my massage.

Called last minute on a Saturday to see if i could get in for a massage to relive some tension from a recent injury. They were booked, but the person I saw had just ended her shift and agreed to stay to see me. Sophia was AWESOME! The facility was nice, everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating, and the massage was excellent. I would definitely recommend.

We visited this place the day before leaving for home. Prior to this we visited Spa de Lotte in Seattle on our second day of vacation which was not a good experience. This Ananya place offered a Lexus and we got a lexus. Audrey and J were both great and knew what they were doing. They made us relax and knew the pressure to use use. Would highly recommend.

Love, Love, Love. I have been to this salon a number of times and each time I love it a little bit more. They consistently provide wonderful service. I have had different team members and I am never disappointed. It is nice booking at my convenience and not necessarily on a day when “my favorite esthetician “ is working, they are all the best!

The spa is very clean and organized. Imani did an amazing job on my 24 HR post marathon massage. She paid attention to my areas of concern and focused on the areas that needed focused on. We had a great conversation when appropriate, and she made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend this spa and Imani as your massage therapist any day.

I love coming here! The staff members are very good at their jobs, always greet me with a kind and peaceful demeanor, and are so accommodating. I especially enjoy messages from Gerard— he really knows what he’s doing, is kind, funny, and smart. Gerard is truly one of the best message therapists I have ever had. Great spa all around.

Overdue update to my last review: After being contacted directly by the owner after a negative experience, I decided to go again and have not stopped coming back. Everyone has been professional and kind and Molly does great work for my brows. I haven’t branched out to trying anything beyond waxing yet, but hope to in the future.

I saw Gerard for deep tissue massage. I'm a cyclist, and wanted my hamstrings, glutes, and lower back focused. I feel SO much better than when I came in. Gerard did an incredible job listening to my body's response to pressure and movement. If you're movement oriented I highly suggest seeing Gerard for deep tissue work!

I absolutely love Ananya. I've been several times and the atmosphere is lovely, but primarily leaving this review to sing Layla's praises. Layla is such a skilled esthetician and you can tell she truly loves what she does. I've referred at least five friends to see her for facials, and they've all loved her too!

Wow I just called to inquire about their esthetician’s experience - which I consider a fairly standard question for the service you are providing. The woman on the phone had no idea about their estheticians’ years of experience and expertise and clearly didn’t think it’s part of her job to know. Dodged a bullet.

Great experience from start to finish, including booking. Everyone was very friendly and the spa was clean and modern. Loved the lockers with the personal code. Massage was lovely with a great ambiance in the room. And the bathroom was clean, which lately, no one has a clean bathroom! Thank you!

I love the ambience and the therapists . My personal fav is Sara . She makes me feel comfortable and at ease . For someone who has had acne prone skin and been avoiding facials from years to start facials again is a big deal indeed. I tried their massage too and they are good . A must try

Ananya spa is the main massage place I go to in Seattle. The environment is calming and every massage therapist is professional. I recommend all of their massages but I especially like the deep tissue, Loki lomi and their hot stone massage. The facilities are always clean as well.

Oh my gosh i got almost every area massaged. It was pure bliss. I did the sundari massage. Came with back sugar scrub, wrap, hot stones and then massage. Also a foot treatment and warm socks wrapped over. Legs arms hands and feet all massaged too. I would live here if i could.

We are vacationing from Michigan so I booked massages for my husband and myself. The ladies were wonderful, my husband had Jamie for deep tissue and was very pleased. I had Elizabeth for a swedish, she was great. I handled everything online with no problem. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place. I didn't realize it was so close at lower QA/North Belltown. I had Mollie for a honey/milk sugar body scrub. She was amazing. Further, everyone I met, as well as guests were delightful and so helpful. I left filled with so much joy. Thank you!

Very expensive for okay services. Did the couples package with a massage and facial. Wasn’t happy with the customer service with their receptionist. She added more tip than explicitly told. When asked about it afterwards, she said nothing. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

I had a very enjoyable and pleasant experience at Ananya Spa. I went there for a 50 minutes signature clean facial. Minorka provided me a great treatment. My skin feels very soft and clean after the visit. I will definitely go back for my next facial !

Good massages and clean facilities. Not a spa per se since there isn’t much beyond a changing room and massage rooms, so I think it’s a better value for the money to go to The Pro Club or to Yuan Spa where they have saunas and hot tubs and the like.

Massage was amazing, staff were great. Location is a bit small, and people were given tours of the changing room while changing, you wait in your robe just off the entranceway so people wandering in an rubbernecking was a bit uncomfortable.
