If your pet has a disease like cancer it's unlikely they will figure it out even if you tell them. After many months of making us pay for useless treatments they told us about a certain cat hospital that could maybe save him because they are cat specialists there, but they said that 1 day before our cat died...Our cat went from 4.4 kilos to 2.7 but it didn't seem to alarm them too much and then 1.9. he was still young. Oh and also our cat had an abces once so we brought him to the "vet" but they didn't even find it and we still had to pay lol. They are not really "vets" they are more like pharmacist, they just give you some minor cat medications. They do surgery though, but if they can't find an abces I'm not sure I would trust them. I wonder what they learn.

We've been using the Animal Health Centre for approximately a year for our two young cats. Each time we've used them I have been very impressed with the service. This is particularly in situations where one of the cats has been in a scrap or hurt themselves and therefore needs a last minute appointment, a situation that I've had three times in the last few months. Each time the Animal Health Centre have managed to fit them in that day, even once on a Saturday even though I phoned at 11am (as I didn't realise they were open on weekends) and my cat was seen before the practice shut at 12 noon. Very impressive! I have no hesitations in recommending the Animal Health Centre.

I had been going to a large franchise vet for years simply because it was closer to home and my cat hated to travel in the car. I wish I had left them ages ago and came to Animal Health Centre instead! Our usual veterinary practice really let me down this past summer but even more so when it was necessary to put our cat to sleep recently. Fortunately I came to Animal Health Centre instead and the team was so helpful, compassionate and friendly and I really appreciated this during such a difficult time. I will never use a big, corporate veterinary practice again and would gladly come back to Animal Health Centre without hesitation. Sincerely, Don

Excellent vets. Professional and friendly. I've been coming here for years. Two cats, four greyhounds and various guinea pigs have all been treated here by Nikki and her lovely team over the years. It's been great to watch this business blossom over the length of time I have been bringing my pets. My only grumble is that the out of hours emergency vet service is passed on to Rowe Veterinary Group animal hospital at Bradley Stoke who I have had a very bad experience with. Apart from this I can highly recommend this vet.

We recently had to put my cat to sleep after quite a mysterious and traumatic illness. The staff at Animal Health Centre were fantastic and really made every effort to figure out what was wrong and come up with a plan, right down to a group discussion at reception on the best way to try to give a cat tablets! Sadly we had to say goodbye to Lucia but I feel that with Animal Health Centre's help we did everything we could to try to make her better.

I have been using this vet for about 20+ years. Nicky and team have seen us through several cats, some grim illnesses, and have always been compassionate, sensitive, caring, clear about options, and most importantly very skillful. We now have three kittens, and after 5 years without pets are thoroughly enjoying being back at AHC for vaccinations, and to see the friendly helpful staff. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Local vet clinic. Asome as always. They are always nice an attentive. They care about their furry patients a lot. Every time I've needed them, they have made room for us in no time. They keep our cats healthy, despite all the trouble my cats get in. They accept pet insurances. They don't open on weekends but have partnerships with other vets who do. Love them. If you are looking for a vet, don't think it twice

I really value and respect Nicky's experiance and work. Down to earth, effective treatment that doesnt cost the earth..! Vets with heart. Took my friends very pregnant dog there who had a puppy stuck and they have saved her and three puppies taken a supportive and personal approach to her and her puppies care - even in lock down! I brought my greyhound in and I feel we could not have been treated better. We were warmly received at reception with smiles and a welcome treat for May. Our vet, Sophie was kind and thorough and she was most diligent in spending time assessing May and asking questions about her and our problem. I would highly recommend this practice.

This is the first time I had ever been to a vet as a customer, I took our family pet hamster in. All the staff were very kind, in fact, they treated the hamster in a very professional and caring manner. I would strongly recommend these guys, every member of staff I came in contact with were professional and polite.

Always friendly when I take my cat and have got her through various problems. Has a shared species waiting room so I do tend to take something to cover carrier so she isn't bothered by dogs. Usually enough space to have own corner.

Extremely kind and helpful staff - I rushed in with my housemate's sick hamster without booking an appointment and they fitted us in quickly. If I get a pet in the future myself I will definitely be bringing them here.

Having moved to Gloucester Road a few months ago, and acquiring a couple of cats, I can't speak too highly of this centre. Staff are really friendly whilst being ultra professional. Highly recommended.

The staff are so friendly and knowledge. They keep cats and dogs separate in the waiting area which is a big plus. My cat is comfortable when he's there and exploring the room while we chat to the vets

Brilliant, Nicky and the team are very helpful and friendly. My dog is a bit difficult but they take it in their stride (she does love the treats). Thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful people, always looked after our cat, and treated an emaciated stray we found, nursing her back to health, this little stray is now in wonderful condition.

The staff were really kind and patient when we were worried. Nikki the vet was wonderful with our cat Becky and explained everything to us in detail. Great clinic.

There is a great atmosphere in the centre where both owners and their pets are made to feel welcome and relaxed. The quality of care is very thorough.
