We love the convenience of shopping nearby to support our local businesses. The reviews of this place were excellent, except some doctors who had negative impacts. We brought out furry baby in for an ear infection in the morning. We didn't expect that it'll take 3 1/2 hours for a deep cleaning and was told that it'll only take 45 mins. The staff said they would communicate with us when our furry baby is done. 3 1/2 hours later, no response. We had to call because we were very worried about his condition. At that point, they said he was done and have been waiting for hours. This is completely caused for abuse to leave a pet alone, scared, hungry and probably definitely need to use the bathroom. The lack of care after a pet is treated says how they were treated during the process. The cost for deep cleaning and writing 20 different prescriptions also says, "as a doctor" you don't know how to treat our furry baby (lack of experience). Total bill is $1067.13. This is really ridiculous and we will NEVER bring or recommended anyone to come to Animal Hospital of Laveen. - Frankly, we believe that Animal Hospitals only care about $$$. When a staff member see's someone bring their pet in, "cha-ching" rings in their head. The overall care for a animal is lacking with some veterinarians. Don't get me wrong, I understand you see a lot of animals and get responses from many people. But seriously, would you want to be treated if you were in a cat or dogs position and any other kind of animal/ pet? UPDATE Apparently my partner had witnessed them abusing a dog in the operating room, yelling at the dog to "shut the f'cuk up" while the staff is laughing as they were forcing the dog to sleep. Instead of being gentle.

Yesterday was a really frustrating day, and Animal Hospital of Laveen made it way better. I tried to go to Southside Animal Hospital (where we've gone for a few years), but they were closed with no notice on their website, or even on the door. Then I tried to go to a local clinic at the humane society and they weren't seeing non vaccine related appointments. Got a list of places from the Humane society, and this place was on there. I called and they were super nice and got our name and told us they would see us as soon as we walked in. Honestly I was a little nervous going in, because a new vet can either be a great experience, or one that leaves you out WAY more money than you anticipated and with a bad taste in your mouth. I can absolutely say that was not the case here, and I was incredibly happy with the care we got. They were quick and efficient, the facility was very nice and clean, and they were able to give my dog a bowl of water to lap at while we waited in our room. Everyone was very nice, and worked really well with my dog (who was not feeling well, and was more skittish than usual). They answered all of my questions about pricing, including telling me the price of a future xray if we need it, and didn't make me feel bad at all for wanting to be clear on how much everything was going to be. Overall for the quality of care, the cleanliness of the facility, and the cost, I was incredibly happy we stumbled into this place, and I will 100% be recommending it to my friends in the future, as finding a good vet is pretty hard. If a vet in Laveen can make someone who lives near 12th street and Glendale in Phoenix feel good about the drive, they're worth their weight in gold.

I am so very disappointed because I really wanted to love this place. I wasn’t going to write a review but here I am because I want to make other fur parents be aware before they step in here. Moved recently to Phoenix area and this clinic was closest from my new house so I decided to give it a try. I visited couple days ago with my newly adopted kitten for her first wellness exam and vaccinations. Started off really nice. Front staff was nice, and I really liked the vet tech. My review is specifically just for the vet, Dr.Dorto. He gets zero star but I’m leaving 2 because I was okay with other staffs. Dr.Dorto introduced himself, then grabbed my cat, gave the rabies shot, advised me to massage her injection area later, then left… that was it. In and out in 1 minute. I mean.. she doesn’t have any apparent health issues and looks pretty healthy. But I thought he’d at least check the basic stuff (examine eyes/ears/teeth/skin coats/hear lungs and heart) before giving her the vaccine. I have 5 cats, and never had a WELLNESS EXAM that does not include the EXAM. Still paid $45 for that “exam” plus a fee for rabies shot. I don’t really mind how cheap/expensive the services can be.. please at least do the basics. If I wanted to just get a vaccination for my kitten, I could’ve just went to a free clinic or county service nearby and pay only for the shot. Looks like I am not the only one who experienced the unprofessionalism of this particular vet. He’s not even listed on the clinic website so he may be just covering as needed.. but I will not come back here for any of my cats.

I was familiar with Animal Hospital of Laveen through my boyfriend, who takes his dogs there for care, and I had previously seen how compassionate and attentive they are with the animals in their care and with the pet parents as well. However, I had been taking my dogs and cats to another vet for several years and thought it prudent to continue their care with that vet--until she made me realize one day just how low a priority she placed on my babies. After dealing with an ongoing issue of not receiving return phone calls, being left waiting for HOURS (with an appointment) while she chatted with her friends in the lobby, and being instructed to INCREASE the dosage of insulin in my diabetic cat with critically low blood sugar levels, I decided it was time to make a change. My first choice was Animal Hospital of Laveen. As I expected, Dr Watson and his staff provided a stark contrast to the care I had been used to receiving for my babies. Dr Watson is friendly and informative, and he takes the time to listen to you. He doesn't rush through the visit, and he is very thorough in explaining everything. The staff called me a couple days later to see how my cat was doing. I told them that I had some questions and requested a call to speak with someone about my cat. To my surprise, it was not a technician who called me back, but Dr Watson himself. Dr Watson makes me feel like he truly cares about my babies, and I am very happy that I made the change from the other vet.

This was the worst vet experience I've ever had. The doctor on staff was assuming and very cold. She didn't seem to care at all about my pet and she literally said to me ,"We don't take payment because I have to pay my staff and our expenses". Expect no charity or consideration from this clinic, their only true concern is money. Reply to response: You did not work on her, you evaluated her and gave her a shot of a drug that I didn't authorize. It was clear your vet has no sense of property rights and took a very risky assumptive role in this whole situation. Why would your vet give a shot to my Dog without considering clearing it with me first? Especially after she told me they were stuck..That she couldn't push out the babies. Why would you induce more contractions in that case?? Thanks for making it harder on her body so she could go into even deeper shock as the sepsis set in. Great idea. The only thing you accomplished is letting me know that she was in big trouble and then you asked me to give my dog to you without ever being able to see her again. Or, take her somewhere else. So I did, and Bella had a very expensive surgery that I am making payments for over the next year. And she is still with us. With an entire farm to explore and run around in. Hats off to your clinic for being so short sighted that you lost out on thousands of dollars in revenue, because you, "don't take payments."

My stars are strictly for the female vet in office!! I took my female cat in to this clinic to be seen for consistent vomiting once a day. We were taken to a room right away but had to wait over an hour just to be seen by a technician to get our information. Then later the male vet comes in, he is quite arrogant, pretty much tells me my cat is eating too fast (I know my own cat) and that's why she is vomiting, but didn't listen to me when I told him that she has never had that issue before and has been eating the same way she always has been and her vomit is completely digested. He recommended a food bowl and some blood work so we chose to have the bloodwork done. After three or four days and no call from the vet I called and the male vet was not even in office, so I asked for a call back from a different vet to read her results. Within and hour the female vet calls and says the bloodwork came back fine and asked about her symptoms, I told her, then she simply recommended an over the counter acid prevention medication once a day to see if that would help. The other vet did not even mention it could be stomach acid that she was throwing up, even after seeing pictures of the vomit. My female cat has now been vomit free for over a month! Just by the suggestion over the phone from the female vet! Thank you to her!

I've been going here since I lived in Laveen. So about 5-6ish years. In the beginning I loved this place! And I still love most of the staff! The vet tho, I would pass on. Last time(Feb 2021) I took my dog in for a check up and never saw the vet. Not once. But I wasn't told about any problems so I didn't think much of it bc she got her shots. Fast forward yesterday I took her in for problems and as soon as I finally saw the vet himself he had a condescending attitude and lied right to my face that he told me that she had an issue that then could've led to the now issue. I ask him why he didn't tell me last time but he cut me off and told me he "jotted it down" on her chart. Once again, I never saw the vet last time and was never informed. So it was a blatant lie. I'm very upset and he continued answering my questions with his condescending attitude. I'm very disappointed with him as a vet and how he treats others. But this even hurts to write because the previous vets there had been amazing and the front staff and vet techs are amazing!! I won't be going back to him but if there's another vet there maybe.

Stop!! Do not go here. Be aware of Elsa, although she is not in the back working, she’s a front office staff. The most careless person I have met . Just by the way she refers to a person and how careless she is, I cannot imagine how can she be working with animals! And she’s the first person u see when u walk in! Avoid her, childish. Took my cat for a simple abscess here because is close to my house. It was a disaster!!! My poor cat has been sick almost 3weeks! With an open wound they did without my consent! They Left bacteria behind, gave him the wrong medication so the healing process was super slow or no healing at all. Took him back, they cleaned again and made a bigger wound ( more pain and distress for my poor cat) and still not healing. Now my poor cat needs surgery that’s over $1,250. They do not care! I have called to talk to a manager the last 2 days, supposedly she’s off..it was Something so simple!!All they do to get you to get get that surgery!!! So disappointed!! I took him to another vet, there is no need fir surgery! They changed his antibiotics And kitty is doing better!!

Amazing care team, My dogs groomer and shop all recommended this office for my 12 yr old doggo who needed serious dental care. I am grateful for the doctor and staff, who you can tell care for all their patients and their wellbeing, and as a pet mom this is so important. Sometimes I let my nerves get the best of me and need to be explained things a few times or simplified, everyone I've interacted with have been extremely understanding and a patient. Which is why I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for a vet for their fur baby. Update (2023) Still an amazing care team, my fur baby at 14 crossed the rainbow bridge and the staff was so caring and understanding when I was still emotional when attending an appointment with my family members fur baby. As of 2 months later I was luckily to have a new fur child and they still attend her with the same love and care as her fur brother when he was in their care also. Still strongly recommend this team for anyone looking for a loving and caring vet for their family member.

I called for some cat food yesterday and needed to pay over the phone as my husband didn't have our card with him, but we needed food. Not a problem!!! The girl I talked to was very accomodating, friendly and took my card number over the phone. We have been taking all four of our 'fur-babies' to the Animal Hospital of Laveen for approximately 5 years, and during those 5 years our 'babies' have been treated with love and respect each and every time. The office atmosphere is always friendly, and the Vet is not only professional, but friendly, they always answer any and all questions you have. Everytime we have taken one of our 'babies' in, whether it be for a shot, check up, or surgery, we always have received a phone call within a couple of days after taking the visiting one home, and a couple days after that. Never before have I had a Vet do that. To me that shows the Vet cares about all the animals he treats. Thank you to everyone at the Animal Hospital of Laveen!!

Do Not Take you pet here! I came in originally for my dog having extreme allergies and hot spots. He barely even looked at my dog prescribed an antibiotic and allergy meds. One month later my dog was tearing himself apart and ear infections. He wrote me a treatment plan of over a thousand dollars adding on teeth cleaning??? I declined the teeth cleaning leaving a plan of $434.00 after the Dr. learned I wouldn't be doing the teeth cleaning he had the nurse come back and add 178.00 to the bill. Of course I was concerned about my dog so I paid. Not even 11 days later my dog had broken out in a severe rash all over his body. Won't eat or drink. When I called them frantic about his heath declining and if they could they could help me after now spending close to $900 (factoring in the first visit) in three months. They said the vet would get back to me. No call, nothing! All they care about is your money and my dog is worse off than ever!

My family and I moved to Laveen 5 years ago from Tempe. We have 3 dogs and our original vet in Tempe was just to far to go to when one of my dogs was not feeling well. I tried someone else locally and was not happy-they could never fit you in when it was urgent-or urgent to us as our dogs are family and they added a new vet whom I was not comfortable with. So I tried Dr. Watson for one of them when she got sick and as usual, the other couldn't get me in. I have been sold since then. Even if they are booked, the ask what the problem is and usually they will attempt to get you in even if you have to wait. That is very important to a pet owner. Also Dr. Watson doesn't limit himself to traditional Western Veterinary medicine and thinks out of the box. We are transitioning all 3 of the dogs over to his care as we go along and couldn't be happier. No vet care is inexpensive, but he is fair and less than some others around.

I had an appointment for my dog on 11/8 at 11:40. As a physician myself, I was surprised how terrible the service we received from Dr. Linden. 1) She did not come to the exam room herself where she can show and explain her physical exam findings. 2) She did not bother to collect more history when she actually came in the room. 3) She only stayed in the room for less than 2 minutes to speak with us. 4) We had questions, but she rushed out of the room without even asking us if we had questions. 5) She did not even describe to us what the treatment plan entails, and really just left it up to her support staff. I will never come back here again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this animal hospital. Support staff informed us that she's only a relief vet. Even so, a relief vet should still give quality care that other vets I've visited with before have accomplished. This was a waste of time and money.

Went here out of convenience of appointment and the fact that I could go into the room unlike other vets. No new client discounts here...Left paying probably too much felt rushed when I asked the girl with the invoice questions she was annoyed and vague... Everything I purchased was $10-20 overpriced and they don’t deal with 3rd party like chewy to help save patients $$$... I specifically said that my dog can’t do ear washes and medications that I have to administer everyday since he hates them and is too strong to contain but somehow that still ended up happening so I’ll wrestle my dog for the next 30 days I guess. Paid $50 or so for flush/clean.. ears were still dirty and in the easiest parts to clean. Idk... Not a bad place and dr was nice. My dog also started sneezing periodically after he left so I hope he didn’t catch something.. cost me more money...

  • Coralie Glandier

Such a bad experience. It’s a very expensive clinic, the reason why they can afford 1 doctor and 5 different assistants for one consultation. The doctor didn’t properly diagnose my dog and charged me for unnecessary tests and “high- end” antibiotics. I came in for a kennel cough and a deworming (I told her that was the reasons why I was coming, kennel cough was pretty bad). She did a parvo test (...why? my dog is 5 months old, already vaccinated and he barely had symptoms) and gave him a very expensive antibiotic that, I learnt after all, DOESN’T work for kennel cough. I had to find the proper medicine for kennel cough by myself and ask for a prescription. I will never go back there and please take your animal AWAY from them unless you have lots of money and don’t know what to do with it. Maybe, eventually, if you pay enough, they will help.

  • Giggles_ Giggles

I would never take my pets here again. My husband has been bringing our dog in for ringworm and they prescribed some shampoo. I took the dog in for a follow up appointment and right off the bat the vet started talking to me with an attitude saying how my husband denied to test the dog for ringworm. I dial my husband instantly and ask if he did that. My husband said absolutely not, they never even offered to do the test. So vet said they assumed he had ringworm. I felt like the vet was lying because I know me or my husband wouldn't deny testing, that is the reason we brought the dog in after all. So the assistant comes out with my dog, hands me the dog and says that vet will no longer treat my dog because I questioned his integrity. Okay so was I supposed to agree with the vet that my husband is a liar and the vet is right? Absolutely not.

  • zech guess

The first time I had to go in was also a time my boy needed shots. He can be easily afraid of people, so I was worried about how he would do. He loved the vet! He let her hold him and didn't whine at all. He did have a reaction to the shot and the clinic was great about calling and checking on him. I recently had to take him back in due to my worry about his anxiety, and the vet was compassionate and the staff really felt bad that he has been so stressed lately. After getting his situation addressed I asked about his reaction to the shot and the vet showed me how they had noted down his reaction and that they would take precautions next time. That sort of note taking was impressive because it shows that they listen to what you actually say when they do call. It is this thoroughness that will always bring Brice and I back.

We recently moved to Arizona and needed our dog to be seen. We were able to get in right away, front desk was extremely friendly and technician was too. But apparently Dr. Dorto really hates his job. I brought my toddler with me because that's what I usually do. She was having a rough day and would not stop crying. At first Mario offered her lollipop/cookie so she can settle down. I wanted her to quiet down as much they did. But Dr. Dorto came in along with his technician and DOCTOR told my child to "BE QUIET! YOU WILL HAVE A JOB ONE DAY" honestly it's not anyone place to tell anyone to be quiet and how unprofessional it is to do that. But overall we will not be back. I am sure they feel the same. And if I could apologize for having a fussy child I would. But she is only 2 years old and doesn't quite understand yet.

  • Jennifer Strickland (Mrs.S)

Was very disappointed with the care my pet received. I used to really trust this Vet but I don't understand why he was so complacent in her care. Time was important and it was drug out. She died from starvation. I was willing to do any and all testing on day one but, but each test was put off one day at a time. Never got a diagnosis. She should have an ultrasound from the beginning. It was very sad. She wasn't very old either. Offering surgery once she was down to 5 pounds.. she couldn't make it through a surgery, even had i said yes she didn't make it to the next day, she died that night- choked up blood in my arms and her heart stopped. That was the day he finally suggested ultrasound or surgery for the next day...I think he meant for the following week. I kept telling him she wasn't eating anything. So sad.

Kitten of mine suddenly was sick overnight, it seemed, and being as it was Saturday any vets I called were fully booked. Happened across Dr. Tom’s number and as I imagined, they were booked for the day as well, however, unlike the other places I called, they took a second to ask what was going on with my kitten. She proceeded to tell me she could squeeze me in, although there would be a wait because of their scheduled appointments. The simple fact that she bothered to ask what was going on and tried to get me in, rather than send me off and hang up, meant the world. Finding vets that you can trust is not easy, and with just that phone call I went into our appointment with a good feeling and reassurance that I had made a good choice. Not to mention the price was more than fair.

I have been taking my dog(s) to Animal Hospital of Laveen for about 6-7 years. I have consistently found them to be thorough, caring and professional. I never had to question the care my dogs received and I have been confident that my dogs are getting the treatment they need. When we had to put down our Lab mix about 2 years ago, my wife and found the staff to be sensitive and compassionate. When we acquired a new dog recently, we had no hesitation in bringing her to Animal Hospital of Laveen. I recommend them without hesitation. Most recently, I returned for routine inoculations and the like. The process was seamless and promptly completed. Feedback from testing was provided almost instantly. Once again, I have nothing but good things to say about Animal Hospital of Laveen.

  • Geri P

I really feel bad about this review as we had a great experience here with other doctors and especially the front desk staff. I debated on whether I should leave a review. However, after reading other reviews about the same doc (possibly), I realized that he needs to be addressed. A few months ago we took our 8 year old fur baby in for a swollen leg. We had a few questions about what the doc was telling us and he said "you would have to go to vet school in order for you to understand". But he then continued to explain in layman's terms with some medical language thrown in. He was just so condescending that I have asked in future visits that we do not see him. We're actually going to try Sundance for our next visit as we don't see him on staff there.

  • Lauren Meeks

The worst place. Didn't even have to go inside to learn that. My puppy is sick and "no new clients" is going to kill my puppy. The front desk ladies SARAH and Elsa treated us like we weren't good enough to even speak to bc we would be first time new clients. We asked if they can suggest what we should do as almost every vet doesn't take new clients??? and were told thats not their problem, said they have a sister animal hospital across town that we can call and hung up on us! Couldn't tell us if their is availability there or give us a number but HUNG UP! Our puppy could die and our family will be shattered and heartbroken. Dont go here if you really need help, they will turn you away if you're not on their friends list.

  • Eric Miller

Nobody likes it when they need to go to the doctor, dentist or vet. That said this place makes the best out of necessary routine checkups or even an uncertain situation. They always explain everything to me and give me several treatment options as well as advice. I particularly love the staff here and having random conversations with them on each visit. Over the years I have had 4 cats treated here. I do not like taking my cats to the Vet as I know how stressful it is for them. Animal Hospital of Laveen gets that and does a great job of keeping everyone calm and safe. Dr. Danielle Simons is a wonderful addition and if you have not met her yet then you are missing out. Thank you for taking care of all of our animals.

This was my 3rd stop in my frantic search for a vet to help my Dexter. It was a life threatening condition: his bladder was plugged & his temperature had dropped below normal. They immediately set about warming him up with blankets & warm bottles. Shortly thereafter Dr Linden examined him & knew almost immediately what was wrong. They then outlined a course of treatment for him. Every single person in that office was kind & compassionate. They kept in close contact with me & once he was home texted me over the weekend inquiring as to his condition. I would highly recommend Dr Linden & her staff for general care & any emergency. Thank you for all your kindness & wonderful care for my Dexter❤

My best friend beside my wife of whom I love deeply, Jake was getting more aggressive biting my wife 3 times and myself twice, we had been seeing Watson for years and became disappointed in his cost of care. We started going to other Vets and Jake was not getting better til Dr. Simons of the Animal Hospital of Laveen had the knowledge and training to diagnose him with a well known problem of an ageing neutered dog. I had called several times and asked to have him euthanized (and would have left a huge whole in me) She prescribed the correct med's and saved the life of my best friend. There is no way I could ever thank the Doctors and staff of the Animal Hospital of Laveen

  • Lisa Cerecedes

We recently rescued a dog we found on the street. He was in pretty bad shape. We were refereed to Animal Hospital of Laveen by a fellow dog lover near by and we are so thankful for them. They gave us a free stray exam which meant a lot to me considering we knew the dog needed medical attention. They were very nice and considerate to us not knowing the dog and wanting to help they offered samples to help keep the cost down. After the first visit we felt like we had found a place we felt comfortable to take our new pet. The staff is always so sweet and do a great job with handling our big guy. The office is always clean and well maintained. Love Animal Hospital of Laveen.

  • Heather Griffin

Had a good first time experience; the staff was awesome and very helpful! My dog is reactive towards other dogs so they let me come right in to an examination room to fill out paperwork and were very accommodating. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because even though he is reactive, they took my dog to another area for the examination, away from me. If thats their procedure im certainly not holding it against them, its just not my favorite considering my situation. The Dr was also great, and very patient with my many questions :p Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, even though having a reactive dog can make these things stressful.

  • Raelynn Jordan

They were able to get my pup in the same day which was nice as he did need some pain and anti inflammatory meds for his injury which resulted in a limp... the vet seemed very dismissive of my dogs history. I think folks in that industry need to remember us fur parents are advocating for our fur babies because who else is going to?? I feel like a few unnecessary things were trying to be done. Meds are also wayyyy over priced, I went to the pharmacy instead. If money is the goal, charge a higher office visit fee. Another thing the vet didn't even touch my dog to fully exam him. I wouldn't go back, well to that same vet at least. Staff was nice..

  • Holly “Hnp2381” Paine

I am giving a 1 star due to the fact of the rudeness is the front staff. We arrived 30 mins early as I wasn’t sure if paperwork needed to be completed and as I’m checking in the girl at the front says to me “your early” I said yes we are didn’t know if you needed anything further from me. She was rude on the phone while making my appointment. I wish this didn’t have to reflect the service received from the Vet. She was great! Very friendly and helpful but that front desk needs some coaching on phone Etiquette and the expressions on their faces. If your having a bad day, fake it anyways so the new customer can’t see it all over your face.

  • Rachel 808

Obviously taking your pet to the vet is not always fun. I was so nervous because our pup was feeling a little under the weather, and he has not always been treated gently by vets because he's a pittie. This place was SO nice, and so quick. Everybody was friendly, and calm, and Emily, our tech was just super kind. My dog, who is usually really shy/skittish around new people, was totally at ease, and happy in the room in which we were placed. We got everything we needed in 35 minutes or less, and the price was super reasonable. It definitely seemed like this place is here for the animals, and overall it was a seamless experience.

This is one of the best experiences I've had at a vet hospital in a long time! Dr. Fraser was professional, thorough, and compassionate. My beloved dog is really sick, but I came away feeling reassured that he's in great hands with people who care deeply about his wellbeing. Everyone on staff was so kind and it's clear that they're working hard to provide quality care while maintaining COVID-19 safety protocols. I ended up at this vet hospital by chance, but after this great experience I will be bringing all of my dogs here going forward. I deeply appreciate everything they've done so far. Thank you, Dr. Fraser and team!

  • MeMG Glenn

Disappointing they don't return phone calls or voicemail left. My cat has a double ear infection which I took her in 13 days ago. They ran tests and prescribed medication to drop in ears. It was all reasonably priced. I was told to follow up in a week. The infection has not improved so I called last Wed, Thur, and Fri. I asked to pickup another bottle of drops because we're out. Still haven't received call back. Phone Line has busy tone all weekend and today. Unresponsive and not appreciative they left my cat get worse now. The old owner would not have let this happen. Guess it's time to get new Vet.

  • Vannessa Sellman

I unfortunately had to put my 18 year old cat to sleep after a long illness; At The Animal Hospital of Laveen, every single person, from the receptionist, to the techs, to the Vet herself, went above and beyond to make the process as easy and painless as possible. The compassion showed by the staff really spoke volumes and as such, I have continued to visit but now with my new puppy. The facility is immaculate and it's easy to schedule appointments when they are needed. As long as I live in the Phoenix area, I will continue to use Animal Hospital of Laveen for my veterinary services.

  • L L

The veterinarian (it was a nice lady) we saw here, and the staff were all wonderful and caring. Our 13 year old cat had lymphoma and we put him to sleep here to not have to drive an hour to our regular vet. They did a great, caring job. He was not in any pain, nor scared in any way. He was ready and it was very peaceful. They did a wonderful job and really cared to make it gentle for all of us. If they care that much about easing the path out of the mortal coil, I can only imagine they care enough about your pet in life. Thank you for providing our kitty with a gentle release.

  • Jeffrey Kolnicki

I would like to thank everyone at the Animal Hospital of Laveen. I take my three cats there for their shots and checkups. One of my cats got a very bad bite injury from another cat or animal. It became terribly infected. They were willing to see and treat her with no notice. For that I am very grateful! If you are looking for a really good vet, with an awesome bunch of employees. This is the place for you. We personify out pets. They become almost like our children. I am eternally grateful to the people there, and that I chose Animal Hospital of Laveen for my vet care

  • Daryl Forbes

AHL has been taking care of our precious Lab Bailey since she was a pup. She just turned 10 and I must say the service levels at AHL are the best I have ever received from anyone that I have dealt with in the past especially when dealing with appointments and charges. Elsa at the front desk is absolutely the best and always is very accommodating and very friendly to everyone that comes in as we go there monthly for gland expression’s and I see it every time that I am there. Great Job Elsa and the entire AHL team and thank you for taking care of our Bailey.

  • BenAZ23

My husband and I adore this clinic. It is CLEAN, well run, with friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and the doctor is wonderful! He was warm and patient, answering my dozen or so questions without rushing. He called the next day to check up on our cat, Stone, and give us the results of his blood work. We will definitely be going back with the other two cats soon. THANK YOU for a great experience. It's always so hard to find a good doctor, especially when moving to a brand new area, and we feel grateful to have found the Animal Hospital of Laveen.

  • Renee Duhon (Artificial Starlight)

I've been here once since I've moved in the area and loved the experience. I have a cat and they treated him very kindly, they gave him his shots and took blood/urine samples for a lab test. The vet was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The staff was helpful and the office was clean. I waited in the exam room, not the waiting area (probably because I had a cat and the waiting area had a few dogs) but it was all a good atmosphere. I recommend making an appointment online or calling them early, they seemed to be booked pretty far out.

  • Cristina Chavez

Who ever is answering phones needs customer service training. To add to your response, it’s ok and I understand you’re busy. I am a business owner myself. I don’t normally leave reviews for business I don’t use, shoot I almost never leave bad reviews for anyone even if I had a bad experience. The problem is the way you speak with people. People are calling you for obvious reasons don’t treat them like they don’t matter. I was so disappointed in the manner I was spoken to. Kindness goes along way not just in the response to my review.

  • Raquel Zarate

The staff was very friendly and was able to set an appointment within an hour after I called. I was in and out in less than an hour. My dog had a painful ear infection. The staff offered to administer the first dose of ear drops and my dog was feeling relief immediately. A day later my dog is already feeling much better. What a relief!! I wasnt sure if the online reviews were real, but I saw it for myself. Thank you so much to the staff and doctor at Animal Hospital of Laveen! I would definitely recommend to anyone!!!

  • Ak Hassan

Fantastic! Found a stray dog on September 30th, and I was recommended to ask them to see if they could check for a chip. The dog was not chipped, but they help me get the dogs some water, gave us a bowl, and just helped on the journey to find him a home. I did not go to work that day, because I was going up and down 51st avenue, trying to find the owner. The county was able to come and pick up the dog, and assured me that it would not be harmed. The people at this business, were a godsend, and I am thankful

  • Gloria Ochoa

All I will say about this place is it is a complete joke. Completely unreliable and when we asked a vet assistant with dark straight hair (don’t know her name ) she was completely rude and didn’t offer any help and told us they weren’t taking walk-ins until tomorrow but never offered to make an actual appointment for us . You call yourself a hospital and a vet but they don’t care about the animals that are sick right now during covid-19 because it’s a “walk in” . Care more about ur sick animals you jokes .

  • Riley Broughton

I have been going to the Pet Hospital of Laveen for years, and it changed ownership just recently with new veterinarians. It went from a 4-star to a 5-star facility. The front staff lead (Elsa) has always been fantastic (5-stars) and extremely helpful with customers. The improvement to the overall 5-star rating is the care and especially the communication from the veterinarians and the veterinarian technicians. They really do a great job and have genuine care for all pets. THANKS TO ALL STAFF MEMBERS!!!

  • Jan Bacich

Very affordable, coupled with love and excellent care. The doctor was thorough, thoughtful and took a good amount of time with us and our cats. We did have to wait a bit inside the exam room but once we met Dr., we realized that he’s very personable and takes time to listen. He loved on our 14 year old Katy while talking with us about his overall health. I recommend Animal Hospital of Laveen for their compassionate expertise and lovely reception team. I would feel confident sending someone I love here.

  • Liaini Quichocho

We have used them to put one of our dogs down and we take our other 3 dogs there. They are so amazingly genuine. The front office staff is so personable which leaves a lasting impression. I was shocked getting a card later for the loss of our dog that really really made my day. Not sure what the normal prices are for veterinary care, but I do know that my animals are taken care of by people that are passionate for their profession. No amount of money can pay for that, and I am most thankful for that!

  • Marylyn Castillo

My 8 month old German husky mix cut herself in the backyard, sliced right through the fur down to the meat it seemed, on her back paw. I called and they had an opening about 2 hours from opening. I went in, they were very quick and friendly. Stitching was quick but thorough, and they explained after care in detail. My pup Honey seemed pleased to be with them, I'm new to the area so I was very relieved to find a good vet nearby and in an emergency situation. Very grateful for the awesome service.

  • Doug Smith

I have been going to Animal Hospital of Laveen since I moved here 12 year ago. The other day was the first time I had been here since the practice was taken over by a new veterinarian. The service and care for my two dogs was great. I will continue to bring my two cairns here. I have been in a few times since my last review. All pretty routine but some more involved than others. Yesterday I just needed to renew a prescription. Everything worked great. Will keep bringing my two cairns here.

  • Victoria

If I could give 10 stars to Laveen Animal Hospital I would and well deserved. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years, as well as my family and friends. I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Fraser for his exceptional service and saving my fury baby Roscoe’s life. The entire staff was amazing and provided excellent care prior to and after his procedures. A special kudos to Elsa and Mario for going above and beyond to make our experience less difficult, forever grateful.

  • MARTY SALINAS

Our 12 year old dog battling lots of gunk in his eyes for 5 good months and wasn't getting better so I made an appointment. Dr Fraser and staff are great and caring. I can tell Dr Frasers love and care for his patients. I honestly felt a little intimidated the first couple times I saw him because I felt like a bad mom with our dog. Felt like he scolded me a couple times but I realized how passionate he is about our dogs health. I definitely recommend Animal hospital of Laveen.

  • Marlene Smith

I found out the hard way that this practice is up to the minute in technology, medications, and experience. My dog is alive because Dr. Watson was able to diagnose him quickly and gave me the treatment my little guy needed so we could continue to enjoy each other for a while longer. He also injured his eye and needed surgery and he healed beautifully. I would recommend the group to you if your dog needs a vet that is up on all of the newest science re: pets and their health..

  • Mike Lara

The folks here were a welcome relief during our current experience. Our beagle had a bad dog bite that was handled with multiple surgeries at a different location. That facility provided us with little to none hands on instruction on how to nurse her back to health. The people at Laveen animal hospital took the time to really explain, and show us what we needed to do to get our girl back to good health. I appreciate you guys and would recommend in a heart beat. Thank you

  • Andrea Delgado

From our family we would like to Thank Dr. Fraser and everyone at Animal Hospital of Laveen. We brought on out 2yr old pitbull on Monday from complications pooping all worried that he would have to have surgery , but Dr. Fraser did everything possible to save our baby. And now he's back to his happy playful self .We would highly recommend Laveen hospital to anyone would wants good service, quality and professalism care for your fur babies. Thank you so much Dr Fraser

  • Marci Babicz

From the minute you schedule your appointment to the minute you walk out the door, this place takes care of you and your furry little friend. The staff is so friendly and Dr Watson is just great to work with. They ALWAYS place at least one follow up call once you leave to check on your pet. Great service and I would highly recommend anyone needing a vet, to visit them. They have early morning and late evening appointments (don't find that too often, now do you?)

  • Maldonado Sanctuary

I am a nervous, neurotic, disabled hot mess, and my dog is too, and we were both as comfortable as we are able to be in a new place, around new people, in a medical environment. I was able to handle my 90# dog, nerves, and getting most of his info right the day after my biweekly chemotherapy treatment, which is the day I am Least A Full Person, because he wasn't over-stressed by the environment or staff. I don't think I could give a better review than that.

  • Gary Anderson

Wow this place not only took great care of my dog khloe but patty showed up on her day off to let me in early for khloe’s operation so I did not have to take a day off. Otherwise, khloe would of stayed the night. They have always been kind and caring even when I was a little shocked or grumpy. Thanks so much for taking such great care of our loved one. Great vet in Laveen. Don’t hesitate to take your animals over there. I cannot recommend them enough.

  • Maggie Edwards

Dr. Watson and his staff are very thorough in their jobs, and I have been going there since they opened. It's great to have a vet close by that you TRUST to bring your loved pets too. Sure wish he did Birds though:( If you have a emergency they will fit you in and help you as quick as they can. They also do the little things, like shave the butts of cats and dogs that can't clean themselves due to age or fatness. Great addition to our Laveen area...

  • Amanda

I have been going to AHL for over 11 years. My dogs are difficult. The staff is absolutely amazing when dealing with them. My lab has been going there basically, his entire life & he's not easy to deal with. This is the only vet office that he will walk into. They go above and beyond to make sure my babies are getting the best care. Shout out to Elsa at the front desk! This woman is the best! She is amazing at her job and is extremely helpful. :)

  • Nancy Champagne

I was so nervous about taking my 18 year old cat to have his teeth cleaned under anesthesia, and the whole staff here was very caring and good with both me and the cat! They all were so nice, professional and personable, explaining everything, from the person on duty at the front desk to the doctor. I will not hesitate taking my pets there again! It was also really nice watching them interact with other people and their pets while I waited.

  • Shelia Watson

We have been going to the Animal Hospital of Laveen for many years and wouldn't take our "fur-kids" anywhere else. The care and follow-up we have had is excellent and the "kids" love the drs and staff. They are gentle and caring, do not hurry you through an appointment and take the time to answer questions or explain anything difficult to grasp. I frequently recommend their practice to anyone in need of a vet and will continue to do so.

  • Brittany Harris

I have been here three times since moving to Laveen in 2011. I have a vet I’ve been going to before moving to Laveen but they are quite far so I can’t go to them in an emergency. This vet is amazing. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. As far as price, I don’t have much to compare to since I only go to one other vet and I do not go to this one routinely. However, when your pet is your child, the price doesn’t matter!

  • Mary Dillon

My son and daughter-in-law suggested we try Animal Hospital of Laveen when we first moved here over a year ago. Since then we have been very pleased with the service and attention our fur babies receive. My Irish Setter is very hyper and gets real crazy when we arrive. Dr. Watson and the staff has a lot of patience with him, which I really appreciate. We love the follow-up calls a day after our visit to see how things are going.

  • Georgana Meiner

We acquired a new dog, about 10 months old. Hound mix blck/tan & white. We took him to Animal Hospital of Laveen to have him neutered, had blood work done for Heart worm, got him set up on the preventive medication and got his rabies shot. I have been going to Animal Hospital of Laveen from the time the practice first opened. They have always taken care of all the dogs we have rescued over the years. I highly recommend them.

  • Troy Kowalski

The staff were all very caring and pleasant. I brought in 2 dogs and one of them needed to be spayed and have surgery on her eye. She is doing remarkable well after just a short period of time. Someone from the office called the day after surgery to check on her and I thought that was great. I was very impressed when they called again almost a week later to check again. It is very obvious they care about their patients.

  • Mechelle Dunlap

We had an emergency that required same day treatment and several offices couldn't book us for 3-4 weeks. We got into the Animal Hospital of Laveen the same day and the treatment plan offered to us was more than reasonable. Dr. Fraser was fantastic with our feline! The front office staff was very friendly, very accommodating and we were treated with incredible care. Can't wait to return! We've found our new forever vet!

  • Martha Mixon

Animal hospital of Laveen has been my go to for vetinary care, since my boy got into a fight with a cactus. My boy required surgical removal of some needles from his face and eye. They took great care of my boy Chachi and followed up a few times subsequent to same. The staff here are patient, kind and really care about the health of your pets/fur babies. I highly recommend Animal hospital of Laveen. Sincerely, Martha

  • Mary Smith

Dr Watson and his staff are amazing. I had to let my beloved kitty of 17 years go to kitty heaven today. The staff was very attentive and respectful. They had a room ready for us, so we did not have to sit in the lobby. The entire process was explained and they gave us time to say good bye. They made a sad time just a little brighter. I am grateful for their kindness. It is a great place to take our loved pets.

  • Whitney Hanson

I have never had such a wonderful vet experience. The staff is professional, goes above and beyond and is always friendly. I have a tremendous amount of confidence in Dr. Watson. I feel so lucky to have discovered them! From helping our puppy with a life-threatening illness, aiding our elderly dog in proper treatments, to gracefully helping us with our cat's end-of-life journey, they are simply THE BEST.

  • Kelly May

About 2 weeks ago we visited the Hospital as a walk in. The staff was very caring and compassionate. They quickly looked at our fur baby and gave us some meds. Unfortunately 2 days later our baby took a turn for the worse. We took him back in and they assisted him to cross the rainbow bridge. I do not fault them with his passing. He was old and it was his time to go......Thank you for your care and love.

  • Stephanie Alpizar

I had recent brought my dog here for a dental visit and staff was great, super friendly and were very thorough. They explained everything to me and made sure it was clear on what needed to be done. Pricing are reasonable and I appreciate the calls they give you post op to see how your pet is doing it show they really care about their patients. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know!!!

  • Pam Gagnier

My German Shephard was attacked by 3 dogs and we took her to Animal Hospital of Laveen. This was on a Saturday near closing time and she was in need of a minor surgery. They went ahead and took care of her. We were so thankful as we were leaving town the following day. They did great follow up to see how she was doing and reminders of appointments was great. So happy we found a new place for her care.

  • Abigail Saunders

Dr. Watson and his staff are amazing. We met Dr. Watson under stressful circumstances, and he was very straight forward and honest on our animal's condition. They treated our sick dog with respect, and didn't try to sell treatments or services that weren't warranted. Their offices are really clean, and prices very fair. We will taking all our business to the Animal Hospital of Laveen from here on.

  • Yolanda Burch

I went to the Animal Hospital of Laveen because my regular vet wouldn't squeeze me in. My dog had severe swelling in her face and Dr. Watson was very good with her. Unfortunately she has a terminal cancer but our treatment by the staff and doctor was very good and we will take our other animals to Dr. Watson from now on. I am very pleased with the care and concern they have for there patients.

  • GRACE GARCIA

Dr. Watson and his team are amazing!! I take both of my dogs to him and he never tries to up sell or add additional costs that are not necessary. He is very reasonable with his prices and truly cares for the health and well being of your pets. He is very thorough and explains all of his recommendations for care. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for a vet for life!

  • Nikki P

I have been bringing my pets to the Animal Hospital of Laveen for over 5 years. I absolutely LOVE the staff. They always make you feel like family. They usually get us in and out in no time. They also remember your animals names as though they are a part of their family as well. I have always felt treated with respect and professionalism. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

  • Rachel Z

I had a great experience with laveen animal Hospital Dr.Fraser was caring and knowledgeable I've been to many veterinarians and had not so pleasant experience Dr.Fraser and his staff Ariana,Patti,Elas were amazing if you want your pet in good hands with caring staff and knowledgeable staff go to laveen animal Hospital and meet Dr.Fraser and his awesome team members

  • Georgana Meiner

The Staff at Laveen Animal hospital are the best. They truely care about animals, are all very attentitive to my dogs needs. I also do dog rescue and on several occasians have picked a stray dog or puppy up and called them to bring it in for a quick vet check, they have always been very accomidating and helpfull.I would reccomend Animal Hospitol of Laveen to all.

  • Emily Morehouse

Our dog goes in about every two months for his anal glands. We LOVE the staff at the Animal Hospital of Laveen! They are so knowledgable and caring for our dog. They know us by name and make us feel very comfortable. Lydia is amazing! She makes sure our little Lou is well taken care of. When we tell our dog it is time to go to the vet, he is so excited!

  • Vic Barber

This is our first time for using Animal Hospital of Laveen. The staff here is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Max needed some vaccinations in order to go on vacation with us. It was easy to get a appointment, the facility is very clean and the staff made my baby very comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend Animal hospital of Laveen.

  • Fernanda Ordaz

Dr. Fraser and really all the office staff were amazing and very helpful. I really felt like they heard my concerns and did everything they could to help my fur baby get better. It was a huge relief to me since the last vet we were with didn't seem to listen to anything we said, and my poor boy had an ear infection for months with little relief.

  • Tim Emory

We really appreciate the Animal Hospital of Laveen. It's really nice to have a vet close to home who you can trust. Luckily we generally have to take our dogs in for annual check-ups and shots. But when additional services are needed, they take great care of our boys and we know everything will go well. Thank you Dr. Watson and your great staff!

  • Jackie Amato

My small dog was attacked by a big dog and was tore up. Dr Frasier did an excellent job of proposing the best procedure for healing her wounds. The office staff is also very friendly and makes me and my pets feel at ease. I highly recommend Dr Frasier and hope to have him for my dogs for a long time. Thank you Dr Frazier and staff.

  • Robert Rustenbeck

Know it's by name. Know our girls by name. Always greet us when we walk in. Already have us checked in before we're even out of the car. Staff is great with the girls. Both vets keep it simple, straight forward, and no BS. If it's bad, they tell you. If it's good, they tell you. Prices are fair. We drive over 20 miles to come here.

  • Mark LoStracco

Both times I've had to use their services, were emergency situations. Not only were they able to see my dogs but were very friendly and went out of their way to treat my dogs. I've left my previous vet of 10+ years and will use Animal Hospital of Laveen for any future needs. Needless to say I highly recommend them. Mark LoStracco

  • Jay S

Very professional and attentive staff; both the vet techs and Dr. Linden show a level of care and concern that has not been matched by any other group I've visited for my cat. I can't thank them enough for their kindness. Well-priced, and well-staffed. I don't think anyone would regret bringing in their dog or cat here.

  • O Arias

DO NOT GO HERE. They are out for your money. I took my Dog here and they gave him X-rays and all sorts of medicine for a cough. I took him to another vet since he wasn’t getting any better. In five minutes they diagnosed with Kennel Cough. The vet here doesn’t care about your dog he is just there to take your money.

  • Ashley Stanfill

Everyone at Animal Hospital of Laveen is so kind, patient and sweet with my two pups. Every time we've had an urgent need to be seen by Dr. Watson, his team is flexible and accommodating of our schedule. If you're looking for a vet that will make your pets feel at ease, I highly recommend Animal Hospital of Laveen.

  • Jenyiia Ricks

I’ve been taking my little munchkin here since I first got her (she’s 8 months now) and my experience has been great so far. The Dr. is so kind and patient, even when he’s busy he makes sure that I understand what’s going on with her. Everyone is so friendly and she even got a toy her last visit :) thanks guys!

  • Patricia Perez

By far one of the BEST vet experience we've had ! The entire staff if amazing, very kind and friendly. My dog loves the girls there as they make her feel loved and comfortable when we come in. They also took in my brothers dog with in minutes of us calling them with an emergency and she's doing better since.

  • Art Amavisca

My wife and I have gone 4 different times (we have rescue dogs)... and they have been very professional and courteous each time. Also you can tell that they really care about each and every pet. Also their pricing is very reasonable. For us it is ideal because we live about 3 miles away! I highly recommend.

  • reina c

I live in Buckeye, Az. And we travel clear across town for the excellent service we receive. The staff members are very sympathetic, courteous and real. I love the Dr. He is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable and takes time with his patients. He is Genuine, his actions show he's all for your fur babies.

  • Paula Ortega

I have taken my two dogs there and have received great care. I had to put my cat, Simba, down last year after 18 years, the the staff at Animal Hospital of Laveen was very supportive and caring. They stayed by and made sure that both my cat and myself were comfortable. Thank you to a wonderful staff.

  • Veronica Chavez

The staff took great care of our Muffin. They saw us right away for her emergency eye removal. Staff followed up with us throughout Muffins recovery and I really felt they cared about her. I will definitely be bringing the rest of my fur babies here. I'd give you 10 starts if it were an option.

  • K Thrower

This was my first visit. Greeted with a smile at the front. Everyone was so kind. Mario, vet tech, was very nice and explained everything. Dr. Fraser was good with my Chiweenie, which is what is most important to me. Following his advice and Sophie will be having a teeth cleaning.

  • Bearded Traveler

If you need to take place to take your pet, this is the spot we have two dogs and every time we go there we get exceptional service however, the shots are expensive. The neutering and spaying is very expensive and check ups are expensive. That’s all I have to say about that.

  • Nader Mickail

Pricing sometimes gets me concerned because of our other finances. On a positive note, the medical staff are great and they keep us informed. They are good about replying to emails and phone messages. It's nice to have a veterinary office close by that has good service.

  • Richard Mcdonald

I take both of my Dogs here. I always have a great experience. The Dr's and their tech's are friendly and explain things. They treat your animals just like family. I appreciate the measures they have taken during these times to keep all of us as safe as possible.

  • brooker282

What a great team! It's so nice to go to a vet where they don't overbook appointments and an ordinary wellness care or nail trim doesn't take an hour and a half out of your day. They're professional, prompt, efficient and very caring. What more could you ask for?

  • selma arroyo

The staff and the Veterinarians are so amazing with Nala. I won’t go anywhere else even recommend this place to a few family and friends due to how well they treat Nala, my husband and I. Thank you to all the staff for all that You do it is much appreciated.

  • Barbara Adkins

Great Place to go when your fur babies are sick. The visit was quick and informative, however the wait to get the meds was a bit long. The wait really was okay seeing the customer service and care of the animals is important. We Definitely will be back.
