Unfortunately, the customer service is terrible. There were only a few customers in the store and not once did the girl in the fitting room asked if I needed any other sizes. The cashier wasn't that friendly either. She was pretty serious, which was weird considering the lack of customers. Maybe she was going through something personal. I visited on a Friday afternoon and it was relaxing because again, there were only about 5 or 6 customers in the store. They really need to hire friendly workers for sure! The store in Carlsbad is very different in this regard. The staff is very friendly and act like they are having such a great time working, making suggestions, and helping customers get their sizes.

1. Wanted to return/exchange a pair of shoes I ordered on line and they told me I either have to drive all the way to Carlsbad to do that or figure out how to do it online... which I think is quite silly! As a large chain store, they should be able to accept their own returns and send it back to the company and not make you do it yourself or drive a far distance!!! 2. Asked for a size in a shirt and was told they don’t have it and I have to order it online... I went and checked myself and the manikin was wearing the size I was looking for so had to ask again for them to finally get my size! Funny how they make you order on line and then they won’t accept their own company’s returns!

Anthro is great! I cannot seem to find one in San Diego with good customer service. It seems to be a regional problem. I’ve lived in several cities where Anthro is clearly hiring high quality sales associates - or at least they have common sense to pretend. There is very little effort in this store. $300 jeans should at least come with a smile (since folding the new clothes to place in the bag is clearly too difficult).

Worst experience of my life. Very RUDE sale associates. I waited 20 min in line only to get some misinformation from one of the associates. And after looking for another piece for a 30 min, the next associate told me that the first one was wrong! So I wasted almost 45 for nothing. All of them were so rude and they not even apologized!

All the employees here are just rude and extremely unhelpful. Even the managers can’t be bothered to actually come out and speak to you when you need help because their own employees are so unknowledgeable. So good luck trying to get any help while in the store - you’re on your own kid!

My wife goes here often. Really interesting clothes that are different from the standard kinds of selections. Stock changes frequently. Kinda pricey but I've seen worse.

Great place for gifts. I got two jars of candle for my daughter, smells so good and the glass jar is very pretty. Good place for home goods.

They manage the crowds with ease and the staff is so friendly. I love this location and how clean and tidy the store remains.
