Athletico Physical Therapy is the BEST physical therapy facility in the Valley and Brian Neilson is an absolutely phenomenal physical therapist. I had prior physical therapy at OrthoArizona and there is simply no comparison. At OrthoArizona, the therapists are overworked and often, they are double-booked and cannot give their patients the attention and individual care they need. As a result of going to OrthoArizona after a surgery in February 2022, I tore my bicep tendon because the OrthoArizona therapist took a very aggressive approach to my PT and as a result, I had to have revision surgery to fix it in April 2022. My new surgeon recommend Athletico for my physical therapy after my 2nd surgery and I could not be happier with the treatment and the care I have received there. Rebecca Pudvah was the initial therapist that I saw and she was great. The main therapist that I have seen after starting at Athletico has been Brian Neilson as he was recommended by my surgeon. Brian has been absolutely fantastic, He has a very caring demeanor and he has been very focused on my therapy and gives great individual attention to his patients. Brian is very patient with answering questions and he always explains the nature of the exercises that we are doing and always explains the benefits and purposes of the exercises. He communicates all of the time with my surgeon and I have been so impressed with his attention to detail in my therapy treatment as he is very much aware that my therapy is for a revision surgery. He is also great at giving me additional exercises to do at home and he provides these exercises using an app on my phone that makes it very easy to access the exercises. Brian has been truly outstanding. The front desk staff at Athletico is awesome as well and Joni is always so friendly and also so helpful with setting up appointments and making changes to the appointment schedule, when necessary. I love Athletico's approach to physical therapy as their therapists are not overworked, are not double-booked, and their main focus is on providing the absolute best care for their patients. If you are looking for a truly outstanding physical therapy facility and a truly outstanding physical therapist, look no further than Athletico and Brian Neilson.

Omgosh where do I begin? Joni got me in so fast, is super friendly and very helpful with my appointments and insurance. Love her! I was referred by my pain dr, with low back pain. Justine my PT, is amazing! She is very good at cheering me on and after walking in with severe pain, I didnt want to move. She put me through excercises, after explaining the significance. She is very knowledgable, I always felt I was in good hands. Today was my last day, I wanted to cry. She made physical therapy enjoyable. (dont tell her) I looked forward to my sessions. She helped me wake up muscles to support my low back. The whole facility was amazing, friendliest staff ever. I already plan to return for other issues. I highly recommend Athletico, 5+ stars! I just went in for my free assessment and I highly recommend this place. Joni scheduled my appointment. She was really friendly and organized and had everything ready for me when I got there. Brian assessed my tennis elbow and gave me a lot of great tips and practical advice. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Brian and Joni were both very aware of different insurance plans. They were up front with me about my treatment options and how much each would cost. I left this office with a great plan I know will work for me and I felt like they really cared about me, working around my schedule, and my financial situation. Everyone was wearing a mask and I saw both Joni and Brian wiping/cleaning equipment and chairs in between appointments.

I had foot surgery in Chicago and needed to continue my physical therapy here in AZ. I chose this Athletico because of its location, little did I know how great my experience would be! From my initial phone calls with Joni to set up my appointments (she is so friendly, helpful and caring) to my actual therapy with Brian, everything was fantastic! Brian is a skilled physical therapist and really took the time to evaluate and treat my issue. When he didn’t like how the incision on my foot looked he even recommended a great wound clinic and finally my incision is healing properly. I “graduated” from therapy yesterday and I have to say I’m going to miss this place!! If you’re looking for a place to do your PT look no further than this location of Athletico!

Athletic helped me with a back injury that occurred while exercising. They not only helped me strengthen my back and relieve pain but they incorporated a whole body program to retrain me how to work out appropriately. Justine was tremendous. She is a tremendous Physical Therapist that really challenged and showed me exercises to take with me beyond my time at Athletics. She was also very personable and fun to work with. The entire team are truly professional, organized and always check in with you along the way to see how you are doing. Thank you so much to the team there. While I hope to not have to go back for another injury, they will definitely be my first choice if I do have one.

Brian is the best physical therapist I've ever had. He did my therapy on my arm & currantly he is doing therapy on my knee. I couldn't walk when i came to him & now i am 50 % better & soon i will be back to normal. He's very incourageing always happy & positive very refreshing to have someone taking care of you that truly cares for there patient it shows. Joni the receptionist very friendly always smiling & happy person is.very accommodating with appointments & scheduling. It's very pleasent for me to come & get my therapy in fact if you can believe it , its the best part of my day. If I could give more than 5 stars for this Athletico location, I would. I have been coming here for various injuries for the past few years. The quality of the physical therapists have been excellent. My current therapist, Brian, has done a wonderful job in analyzing my condition and in giving me the exercises that give me the relief I need. I was told 4 years ago that I needed shoulder surgery, but thanks to Athelico I am managing the pain and keeping the knife away. I am very grateful to have them in my corner. And Joni, the front desk person, is fun and helpful. She makes you feel welcome and does a great job working with the insurance companies. I highly recommend them.

Brian, Julie and Joni at Athletico Cavecreek were spectacular! My husband had a strange hip pain out of no where for a few weeks. PT Brian did a phenomenal job of assessing the injury, then adjusted his hip back with a special thigh squeezing technique that completely eliminated the pain within one session. The root cause was too much weight on a leg exercise. Brain and Team have taken care of me and my family for a few years since 2018 on old and new injuries. Thank you for your great service. I have chronic pain in my lumbar area, and have had it for over 20 years. I was at a point that I was basically throwing my right leg in front of my body in order to walk due to the pain. 8 sessions with Brian and Jen at Athletico and my pain is greatly reduced, and I can walk like normal. I'm able to take my large dogs for a walk everyday, even ride my bicycle. My sleep has drastically improved since I'm not in so much pain. They were both very informative, patient and knew exactly what exercises I needed to stretch my back muscles and regain some core strength. I'm very thankful to them both. Great place and great people!

I came back from having four torn ankle ligaments to finally being able to wear high heels again! The team here is great. I was referred to Brian Neilson for therapy on an uncommon tricep tendon tear. He works directly with my surgeon, so he was able to build a specific plan for my care. He researches and makes certain to be up to date. He is very knowledgeable and methodical. Jodi at the front desk was very accommodating with juggling my appointments around surgeries and other medical appointments that I was swamped with. Things were moving fast and she was right there to help. I was very happy to work with them, and had an excellent recovery based on their care.

Justine is my Physical Therapist at Athletico throughout my recovery from torn rotator cuff surgery (right shoulder). She is amazing! Justine is extremely knowledgeable about human anatomy and coaches me through the exercises she's specifically selected for re-strengthening my arm. She's very upbeat, caring, and encouraging! I am so encouraged by the progress I continue to make toward a full recovery - and have Justine to thank for her willingness to go the extra mile for my benefit throughout every P.T. session I have with her at Athletico.

Athletico, physical therapy is the best. I had them for pre-hip replacement post hip replacement pre-knee replacement post knee replacement. All the staff are tremendous. Most of the time it was Julie and Justine who worked on my leg. I’m walking now. My leg is straight, I cannot believe the work these two women did to help me recover. When I first contacted Athletico, the receptionist, Jody answer the phone. She was so cheerful and friendly, and made me want to come in so glad I chose Physical Therapy Athletico thank you to the team.

Everyone is so friendly. Brian is great - talks you through all the stretches and exercises. It’s a great experience, and he treats you like a human (no talking down or making you feel dumb). I’m fairly new, but you can tell all the other patients that come in are like family. It’s super comfortable and all about getting you better, no judgement. I also love that they text me the exercises and stretches so I can access them easily. One of my pain issues is quickly improving. I’m looking forward to continuing my progress with them!

I came in for lower back and hip pain and saw Justine. She is attentive and knowledgeable. Other PT places I’ve been have not had as much focus the full hour, mainly just sending me to do the exercises on my own (which I could just do at home) but here at Athletico and with Justine, she spends time in the beginning of each session warming up my muscles with massage and assisted stretch. My hip pain has subsided after just 4 sessions and my back is feeling a lot better too! Definitely would recommend Athletico and Justine!

Just had my first physical therapy with Brian and the overall experience was amazing. They made me feel welcome right from the beginning. Everyone on their staff was super friendly each day I was there creating a family friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this Athletico if your looking for a place near you. I want to thank Brian for helping cure by chest pain by giving me easy stretches to do at home and sending it to my phone so I wouldn’t forget. Overall, a great experience!

After a few weeks of physical therapy, my knee/leg feels so much better. Justine is really wonderful, patient, and answered all my questions. My daughter has also been a patient here, working with Brian, Julie, and Skye. They're all wonderful and have really helped her hip and wrist injuries. Joni is friendly and worked with our limited schedule for appointments. If we need physical therapy again, we'll definitely go to this Athletico location.

I have been going this this place for a few months, and i’m glad to say this is the best physical therapy place i’ve gone to. The staff here are very welcoming and kindhearted, and they are all very educated in this field. I got knee surgery back in April and after 3 months I have been given the clear to go back to sports! I’m so thankful for all Athletico has done for me, I couldn’t have asked for a better team.

I have spent an entire day trying to find a company to provide physical therapy services for my mom after her stay I an acute rehab hospital. I am so thankful I found this company! I had a lengthy phone conversation with Brian and he was a HUGE help and gave me a lot of wonderful and very helpful information. I had Arthroscopic knee surgery and chose Athletico for my PT recovery. Sara Julie and Brian went above and beyond to develop a program that was aimed at my goals. Not long after starting my PT I was able to get back on my mountain bike, hike and eventually hit my main goal to run in “Pat’s Run” which I did after 4 weeks of PT. I can’t thank these 3 enough and would highly recommend Athletico!!!!

Brian, my therapist is great. I had a severe shoulder/elbow injury and he is firm when needed, but also very sensitive to my comfort level. My appointments have always started on time and the front desk has been very helpful with scheduling appointments. I am confident with his help I will be back doing the activities I love.

After a hamstring injury, Brian and Julie were AWESOME in helping me gain back strength and relieve pain enough to amazingly complete a half marathon!!
