I enjoyed taking a stroll around this lagoon. There isn't much to experience during the winter season, but I'm anticipating what there is to see and do during the warmer months. There are signs posted that let you know fishing is an activity that may be enjoyed at this location. My stroll was appreciating the winter scenery with ducks whom appear to be early arrivers or late departures. The ducks were cautious of me but not fearful. A good walk.

Okay, If you are looking for a great place to go picnic and enjoy the outdoors. It's Beautiful! Don't be afraid to say hello to strangers and smile. It's not weird here! A matter of fact it's proper southern etiquette. So go knock yourself out kid! Before you leave give me a thumbs up please! If you don't, I must tell you, Bless your heart! That's another southern thing. You will have to figure that one out for yourself.

They've restocked the lagoon but the fish are very young and small plus they haven't really cleaned the lagoon when i was a young man it was crystal clear and you could see all the way to the bottom there wasn't all the algae that exists in it now and you had huge gold fish and other species that were also large and there were actually white swan's on the surface swimming in broad daylight.

So beautiful to see people fishing and the water fountain producing a serene splash. The area, however, is horribly littered with goose poop! On the rocks, on the path, on the grass, in the street, on the top of the bridge...just everywhere! Otherwise, it's a great place to read a book.

I use to frequent this park with my dad in the 70s, we'd fish for crayfish. I loved coming here as he his friends resided right next to it. I am happy to see it still looks wonderful.

An absolute hidden gem! A lovely park full of history and great part of Chicagos! History! The water is so clear and clean! Needs a little love but it's still gorgeous!

Quiet beautiful place to have peaceful thoughts read a book eat your lunch or just watch the day go by and it's right in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood.

Go there with someone that lives there, they don't take too kindly to strangers. I went fishing. Didn't catch a fish. Saw a blue heron fishing for tadpoles.

I have lived here over 50 years. I love the close proximity to the water and wildlife. I wish it had not been neglected by the city for so long.
