I have contacted Mayor Adler's by phone six times over the past week. Each time I left w voicemail message requesting a return call from the mayor's staff because no one was available to speak to me. I sent two emails to the mayor's office as well but received no reply. I also left voicemail for the mayor's chief of staff Lesley Varghese and with Barbara Shack, the mayor's executive assistant but have received no replies from them either. It appears that mayor Adler does not accept or require input from the nearly one million citizens of Austin. Any politician who does not respond to public input from their constituents is either simply out of touch with their constituents or is arrogant enough to believe that they are a king and rule with absolute power. In either case, such politicians should be recalled or impeached and removed from office and an election held to replace that person.

I am hopeful that Mayor Watson will direct his attention to the greatest threat facing Austin. If a person or group had all the money they needed they could not create a greater fire hazard then one that exists naturally today. Bright Leaf is vast, densely wooded area on rough terrain that doesn’t even have fire trails. If one of the rockets that have been shot off by one if its neighbors starts a fire it will extend across 2222 and eastwards as well. The preserve needs to be cleared out like the Wildflower Center with a small untouched core, or an inevitable fire will rid it of the wildlife all of us neighbors treasure. For those in the major’s office, the city managers office and on the city council, I suggest you seek the advice of your counterparts in Bastrop.

He's just another Socialist! Austin is full of them. Too bad how our town which I was born in 70 years ago has now been ruined by Liberal Socialist nut jobs.
