The cost for a Electrical Inspector is $500.00 and the wait time is 4-5 business days (I was told their short handed) BUT if you want same day service it’s an additional $178.00. Makes NO sense whatsoever!!!!

You don't really have a choice on who you use but for what it's worth, the City of Austin Permit Center is sluggish.
