This company should remove professional from its name. We had them paint the exterior of our home. Their contract states that they will do a whole list of items to prepare the house for painting. This list included hand washing the exterior, setting nails, scraping, and sanding. They only do these things if you stay on top of them. Hand washing never happened. They state that the job site will be cleaned during and after the completion of the project. This didn't happen. Materials (ladders, painting rig, trash, etc. were left in our yard every day of the 5 days they were here. We still have masking tape on our roof line. They didn't respect the landscaping, hoses or personal property. After reading so many good reviews, I was shocked to get such an unprofessional crew. Maybe it's luck of the draw or unlucky in this case. I would not use them again and recommend that you find someone else to do your painting. Follow up to business owner response: I received a call from Mr. Contreras' assistant as soon as I posted my negative review stating that the owner would like to meet with me. I asked to what end, the job had been bungled and I didn't see any reason to continue our relationship. She said she didn't know what he wanted but would find out. A few minutes later, John the owner calls. He tells me that he's thinking of firing his crew, can't take payment for a job not well done. Continues for about 15 minutes telling me how great his company is. I reminded him that he had been copied on almost every email that I sent to his project manager and the only reason for any surprises would be that he wasn't engaged. He said that he was considering a refund and would talk to his crew and get back to me in a few days. Never heard back, my second check was cashed the next day after our conversation, and the only communication was his response to my review. This companies idea of making things right is wearing you down until you want them off of your property. I'm still pulling masking tape off of my house (which I told John about in our phone conversation), picking up cigarette butts, and finding over spray on my brick. I double down on recommending that you find someone else for your project.

If you value your home and its contents, stay far away from Austin Professional Painting. In the process of doing what was a small job over Labor Day weekend they: -damaged the wood blades of an expensive ceiling fan in the main living area. (The blades/fan must now be replaced.) -left weird paint areas in the living room ceiling they painted. (They also originally painted the ceiling the wrong color.) -destroyed an entire overhead garage door opener mechanism. -left a garage, and its contents full of dust. (So full of dust I can't use it without tracking stuff all through my home, Also damaging other garage contents.) -left many of my personal items out in the rain that are now ruined. -lax supervision of the crew, from John their supervisor, who was to arrive with the crew to define the scope of work and start the project. -they are insured, but John stated he has blocked their insurance company from dealing with the damage to my home unless I remove this review. -John also actually made verbal threats against me last week for my negative review, causing me to be concerned about my and my family's personal safety. -on the upside, they have a very nice receptionist

John and his crew are awesome and have done an amazing job. I also highly recommend speaking to their color consultant as well, if you want to do accent walls or just need ideas. We wanted to refresh the paint in the interior of our entire home and were unsure how to proceed. She was an incredible asset they offer. Although, we did have some minor hiccups in the beginning, Ernesto stepped in and saved the day. He is a truly polite, genuinely great person and personifies Austin Professional Painting. We addressed all minor issues and they were handled excellently. I also have to mention that their painters Carlos and Rigo were amazing people. We have a lot of dogs and they were always patient and polite. Both were very respectful to our home and to my wife. In the end, John spoke with us and made sure everything was perfect and it is. They did a beautiful job and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a honest and respectable business. The personal interaction and attention to details are treasures one does not normally find nowadays.

Austin Professional Painting did an amazing job for us, quickly and for a great price. We reached out to 4 different vendors to get bids on a simple job to paint the walls and ceilings of our 1K sq ft condo. Single color throughout. They responded to our inquiry within an hour, came out the next day to scope out the job, and gave us a bid the next day with availability to start work the following day, and an estimated 2 days total work. Their bid was among the lowest we received and the turnaround time by far the fastest. The gentleman who led the process was personable and professional. They finished ahead of schedule and within budget. They even did an entire extra layer of paint to ensure we were happy with the color, and did not charge extra for that. Overall turnaround time from initial inquiry to job done was ~4 days, the price was great, and the service was wonderful. Highly recommended.

We just had a major exterior project done on our house and are very happy with the job that Austin Professional Painting did. John took a very detailed estimate and is very focused on a good customer experience. He provided a list of references (I emailed a few) as well as examples of the company's work, and the final estimate was very complete and reasonable. The crew did a very good job of prep work, sealing and caulking. John was very responsive throughout the project via text and email, and Juan Carlos was on site often coordinating the work. They were good on letting us first try sample colors, and also offered suggestions. We have different surfaces including hardiboard/fiber-cement, and cedar siding, and we're very happy that the exterior is now so well-protected and has such a fresh appearance. I would use them again for sure!

Met with a person name John claiming to be the owner of the company for a 2nd requote on a painting project and was treated disrespectfully. He came off very snappy, aggressive, and seem like he didn't want to come to work that day. Instead of offering solutions or taking the time explain the quote, he decided to give me an attitude and walked out of the property in the middle of the conversation. After I told him I will call the Paul Peterson who initially quoted me bc he was professional and understand what customer service is about, John decided to verbally threaten me. Not surprised as the other reviewers has also mention John threatening others in the past. Will be taking my business elsewhere. If you don't like dealing with customers, please call in sick and stay home John.

APP just finished painting the exterior of my 1950-build house in Hyde Park. I was extremely pleased with their work, from start to finish. I took 5 bids from companies that rated very highly on Yelp. Amazingly, APP (along with another company) bid a substantially more reasonable price than the other three. I mean, 60% lower. Between the two that remained, APP's bid was far more robust and included great warranties, explanations of the work, hand washing of the house, supervisor always on site, etc. John Contreras came out and walked the whole house with me and explained their process very thoroughly. Then the work was done when promised, it was done carefully and well, and I couldn't be happier with the result. I will have APP paint my other unit next year for sure.

My wife and I hired Austin Professional Painting to paint the interior rooms of our house and the decks. The entire job was a long process, but APP made the process easy, and the final results look great. We had a great experience working with John, Jason, Barb, and the entire staff. When the work was completed, and after the job completion walk-through, we noticed some touch-up areas that had been missed. John worked very closely with us to get all of the touch-up items completed. I want to especially commend Ishmael for his good work and willingness to ensure that we were totally satisfied with all aspects of the job. The cost was reasonable and the work was performed professionally and courteously. I would not hesitate to recommend the services of APP.

The crew from Austin Professional painting did a great job on painting my house. My house is huge ( more than 3500 Sqr feet) and all of the paint on the exterior was cracking and therefore the wood siding was being exposed to the elements. I met with the production coordinator and we walked around my house. Since my house had not been painted in a while and there was chipping paint there were many spots that needed some repair on the Soffit and also some of the wood trim. They fixed that right up. They also had to do a fair amount of scraping to make sure the the surface of the house would accept the new layers of paint. The crew was communicative along the way of the whole job. My house looks as good as new now thanks to the APP crew.

The quality of the work by the Austin Professional Painting team is impeccable. We used them to paint walls as well as cabinets. The team was professional, transparent and flexible on the work we wanted to do and the colors we wanted. They were patient while we went through a couple of iterations to get the exact color we wanted on the walls. Along with the painting, they also helped with patching up dents in the wall, touchups and changing the cabinet hardware. They made sure that none of the adjacent walls/furniture/structures were affected by the paint. We highly recommend working with them if you are looking for good quality outcomes. As a matter of fact, we are already using them for another project.

We used Austin Professional Painters to paint the interior - walls, ceilings, and kitchen cabinets) of our new house. They came out and did an estimate (which I found quite reasonable), and got us on their schedule really quickly, especially considering all of the delays and backlogs in the construction/ home improvement industry right now. The crew that came to our house were very professional and worked quickly. They were also really responsive when we made a few changes to colors, etc. during the painting process. We were so happy with the results; our house looks great. I'd use them again in a minute, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Austin Painting Professionals just finished painting our 3600sq.ft. home and I have to say the house looks incredible. Detailed work is very important to me and they took care to make sure that once the painting was done, the edges were straight, the caulk lines were neat and all my nit-picky concerns were addressed before calling the job done. Shout out to Ernesto who went above and beyond to make sure that the house looked great. The entire crew was awesome in their willingness to go back and address little details even if they missed them. I couldn’t be happier and the house looks AMAZING! John Contreras gave us the bid to do the work - he was so patient and explained all the details. We got a 2nd bid (which I recommend) but we preferred John and APP. We signed a contract and had them out within a week. We liked the paint (Benjamin Moore) and loved the painters. They were very efficient, but not sloppy. It only took 3 days to finish the job and we made sure the coverage was complete (and no messes). We could not be happier with the outcome and the responsiveness of this company. I would definitely have them come paint again for me and would strongly recommend for anyone looking for excellent service.

My family moved to Round Rock in January, and the house we bought had holes in almost every wall from the previous owner. We had them out in January to repaint the full interior and we were quoted 5 days, the guys were prompt and worked long days and ended up finishing early. Then just last week we had them out to do the exterior of the house to do a refresh. Again we were told 5 days, but they guys were quick and efficient and they finished early as well and everything looks great! We also got a storm the next day so they were finished just in time! Highly recommend these guys!

Austin Professional Painting did a great job painting our home. A different painting company's mistakes needed to be repaired and redone. This required significant time and patience. Austin Professional Painting not only addressed the previous paint concerns, but did a great job of professionally painting our home. Everything I asked for and was concerned about was addressed in their proposal and followed through on the job. Our painter Carlos, was conscientious, courteous, efficient, and thorough. I would not hesitate to use Austin Professional Painting for my next paint job.

These guys did a top notch job on our exterior paint job. We have a two-story duplex and had some very specific ideas about what we wanted in terms of a color scheme (what gets painted what). They executed on the plan with very little oversight in a couple of days. They were also frankly the most responsive of all the companies we contacted - they were great about communication. Along the way, they also did some minor repairs - very helpful. They even threw in a professional color consultation prior to the actual paint job as part of the package. Highly recommend!

Their name says it all, Professional! Had them paint the entire interior of our house- walls, ceilings, doors, trim, stairs, cabinets- and they did a wonderful job. We noticed a few minor issues after they finished up but they came back right away to fix it. I think that's what sets a good contractor from a "bad" contractor apart. It was a huge project so minor issues are expected but they responded very quickly. They also painted the exterior of our house a few years back and we were very happy with their work then as well.

We decided to paint the majority of the interior of our home to a soft white instead of the darker colored faux painted walls. We selected Austin Professional Painting and they finished the job in only 4 days with 6 painters. In some areas of the house they had to add a third coat and charged a minimum amount for the additional labor. The lead painter Abraham was outstanding and John the Project Manager was extremely responsive and professional. The overall quality for the value exceeded our expectations.

It's tough finding good painters. Austin Professional Painting had great reviews so I took a chance on them. Great decision! I'm really impressed by how quickly they responded to my calls and texts, how professional and polite the entire team was, and most importantly, the excellent, careful and precise job they did. I had all the walls and ceilings (10-foot ceilings) painted throughout the house. I'm very detail oriented and these folks did a wonderful job. I'm very happy and recommend them highly!

This team is amazing from start to finish. Other painters we reached out to you were slow to respond or difficult to get in touch with. Austin Professional Painting helped us from quote to selection to execution. Getting the entire outside of our house repainted was a daunting and expensive task. If I had known that the painters would help make it simple and seamless, I would have done it sooner. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail was flawless.

Excellent painters!!! A pleasure to deal with. They strive to make the customer happy. I have hired them for 2 different jobs (one was outside painting and the other was inside painting) and they did an excellent job both times. they are a very honest company. They also refinished my front door and it looks better than new (it is wood and 20 years old, so that is an accomplishment). The price for both jobs was very good for the amount of work involved.

The "Project Manager" Carlos Gutierrez was scheduled to come and give me a quote, and when he showed up, he said the project was too small. I needed the back exterior second story of my home painted. Could have been easy money for them, but they're trying to get 20-30k painting quotes/jobs. I would question a business that only wants to do big jobs. Austin Professional Painting needs to take the "Professional" from its name.

Blown away! Austin Professional Painting power washed and repainted the stucco of our modern Travis Heights home and I could not be more happy with the customer service, speed, and quality of workmanship. Not to mention the price was in line with all other quotes and beyond my expectations of finished product. Painted my entire house exterior in December of 2020. I've waited six months to post reviews because I wanted to see how the project held up. Very pleased with the results and the price. I had to do some minor supervision of the crew to make sure prep work was done properly and they weren't the cleanest crew, but their price was very reasonable and the work was done in a timely manner.
