It's disappointing how unreliable their service is. I sent an express package, Thursday early morning, paid extra for the express service because I was told by the counter staff that the parcel will be delivered by Saturday or maximum by Sunday. It's Monday and it still hasn't been delivered. What's ridiculous is, I have been getting msgs on my phone saying my parcel has already reached the destination and is already on its way to being delivered, however when I am tracking it, it shows it's in some completely different country. It is quite upsetting. And when I called customer service, she says "oh our tracking system isint working"!!!! What the hell is going on here. The customer service lady kept saying, "oh but you signed the declaration form so technically we didn't lie to you, you should've read it and it clearly says on that not before 4-6 business days for express" No you're lying, why do you have counter staff who don't have correct knowledge? Why are you sending the customer two different information? Why is your tracking information and text msg notification not the same? Australia Post you're CHEATING your customers! You're providing false information, you're lying or rather not revealing complete information to the customer, making them pay extra and that's CHEATING! It doesn't matter now, if the parcel reaches tomorrow or day after tomorrow or never, what was important was for it to be there on that particular day which you guys promised and I as customer trusted you! Upset and extremely disappointed!

My service was great but im writing aboout an inncident that had occured at the post office. This staff who was wearing a hijab (looked Bangladeshi) was serving a Chinese old man who didnt understand english so well. He was trying to pay a bill. The staff told him to insert the card in the machine but he was not understanding, instead of just helping him out, she starts to raise her tone and make snarky comments. My sister and i rushed to help the man out. All the other staff knew that there colleague was being rude but no one said anything. When this staff heard my sister and i saying that your being rude and disrespectful and that we should report you. She quickly changed her act and started to help the man while i was recieving my package from this other worker there. Overall, i couldn't find an email to write this complaint too but i am genuinely furiated by the way this old innocent man was treated today. People like these shouldn't be serving customers, it is a disgrace and really shows there morals and values. Im sure she doesnt raise her tone with her related elderlys. She shouldn't be doing that to anyone, especially with the profession she has chosen. It would have been different , if this innocent old man had insulted or abused her but all that never happened. He was still smiling through it all , not knowing the comments she was making. I felt so upset for him. Absolutely disgusted by this staff members behaviour towards the elderly.

The WORST australia post office I have ever had to deal with. After failing to redirect two of my parcels which resulted in one of my parcels being returned to the UK and the other to Sydney metro - I wrote a letter of complaint to australia post and had to go and meet the seller of the Sydney metro item myself to get the parcel. On another occasion the parcel lockers were broken - I had to log the incident myself because the post office staff had no idea it was broken. And now my parcels again aren't being placed in the parcel locker because they are broken again - I rang the manager at Merrylands post shop who argued with me and tried to TALK OVER ME and implied I should be thankful that I have a parcel locker because they are free of charge. Rude, inadequate customer service who don't give a damn about australia post customers. Australia Post needs to audit this post office and find out what the hell is going on. The staff are not following process and are LAZY. After my last parcel is sorted out I hope I never have to deal with this place again.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Line up out the door and this is a large post office in size more than 30 people in line inside and multiple people lined up outside the door at 1230 pm. only two people serving behind the counter and in 20 mins they only got through one person each while rest of staff kept coming and going but not serving anyone or standing outside in their dock area. This is the norm for this post office no sense of urgency or customer service at all if you use the self service machine and it needs staff help they tell you to just line up. Avoid this post office it is quicker to catch public transport and go to one of the other post offices nearby. Or alternatively go 10 mins before they close at 5 when they actually then have all 6 counters operating so they can go home thro not time they want to serve customers because it benefits them. Also there area manager doesn’t care or act upon complaints as the reviews show this has been a long term problem for this post office.

The worst customer service i had ever come through. And even don't have enough information about Australia post. Today I went their to sent a perfume overseas and the lady (Rita) said that i can not send perfume overseas and i was so surprised because before i went their i searched it online that i can send perfume overseas via Australia post . But she was so rude and was looking at me like i have done something wrong and was looking at me so mean and did not gave me a smile because my face looks Asian. Anyways i was so pissed but i thought she might have some issues so it's okay. But i wait their until next customer comes which was a Caucasian male. She (Rita) gave smile to him and was helping him really good, that's the time when i really got pissed and try to gave a feedback in order to share my feelings. Thanks

if I could I would give them 10 stars, very helpful and very experienced staff and precise clerks, friendly and respectful and very fast too. they know everything related to AusPost services and very knowledgable, I have never experienced any inconvenience with them, they also work extra minutes after closing time to serve more people in need of the service, I once had to pick up a very important parcel at 5:20 pm (20 mins after closing) and they still served me. the queue moves really fast almost everytime, this branch is always busy and staff are under tremendous amount of stress. they deserve more attention and recognition for their hard work from the head office. also at this branch there is self-service machines that do most of the services. thanks merrylands Auspost, you are awesome.

I went to post office Merryland 1 month ago to get a solution for an item which is not working anymore but they didn’t help because the outsider box was not with me. So I went again today but they didn’t help because the manager was not there and no one is able to fix the problem only her, the big problem is the manager doesn’t work every day only Monday and Friday. We were in lockdown for months and now there is a lots of pressure on us and them, so how can a post office run without a manager? And why there are no more managers to cover for other days or someone to fix issues when she is not working from Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday? The warranty will finish soon and I can’t get solution or refund because of her. 0 stars for this post office and the workers too

usually have a good experience here, unfortunately my parcel was some how misplaced within a few days of my parcel getting to auspost merrylands which i did try to take out of the same day but required more ID so i had to wait till the saturday , one of the lady working said they'll call me to update me, and still nothing, ive called the auspost line and they couldnt get hold of auspost merrylands, i work from 9am-5pm and have to wait till the saturday again! its frustrating as i only have till the 18th and then they send my parcel back. i dont understand how one day they have it and then can totally misplace this in 3 days.........! the lady who served me was betty. hi betty can you tell me where my parcel is ? thank you :)

Today I went in to give in the form for passport renewal, there was only one person infront of me waiting in line while two others were already being served. Around another eight customers came in after me so I thought I was lucky that I won't be waiting for too long but I was very wrong about that. Waited 20 minutes for my turn only to be told my photo may be the wrong size and that It won't be accepted because I had a slightly visible "smile". Went to another post office and they processed my form within 10 minutes without saying anything about the photo. The Merrylands post office is way understaffed who are inexperienced and be sure to allow extra time if you plan to go there.

Horrible place just dont go there the line is out of door always and the staff is extremely rude not helpful at all seems like they need a pay raise or somthing they take out their frustrations at customers who does same hours work and facing same realites i will never ever go there again i will even change my address to avoid my parcel end up there. By the way my first review in my life unfotunatly negative i hope u all understand how bad experience i had in this place i would give it no stars and i dont regret my time to write a bad review for them at all I would come and write again i already lost $$$ and time and foud a few grey hair bcoz of them.

The Aus post self service machine at this branch did not fully print the postal label. The beginning letter of the tracking number was missing on the label. When I asked at the counter for clarification I was told to join the normal queue.The customer service people at the counter do not know how the machine works and there was no one outside to help out at the machines. The electronic receipt reached my email after 2 hours. In short, to avoid hassle just avoid the machine and join the normal long queue. Machine label printer should be fixed and emailed receipts should reach the customer quickly and not take hours.

Wow... just witnessed the post office worker make a person in a wheelchair stand up to take a photo...they could have just removed the camera instead of making the 80 year old get off her wheel chair.... Service is as slow as a sloth... hardly anyone speaks proper English... place always has a line not to mention it takes almost half an hour for each persons interaction to finish.... I’m burning that this is my local post office from now and the service is very unprofessional.. And get this I had to go in twice to get my packages as the first time they gave me the wrong package.... All in all the worst post office.

horrible service. I have been there twice and asked for my package and they say that my address has to match the address of the package. I explained I have just moved to this new address and an ID with my name should be all that they ask for. They refused to give me my package. I called aus post and they said that they should not be doing that as a valid id with a name of the recipient is all they need. The lady at the counter was so rude and refused to give me my package. The hours of operation are also incorrect on the website as they close at 5 but advertise that they are open until 6. DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!!!

I lodged my passport application here and paid additiona $225 to fast-track the process. The staff member was supportive but I realized later on she made a horrible mistake selecting 'Collection at Passport Office' instead of delivery via mail, despite our conversation about long queue at the passport office and convinience of having the passport delivered. This was not picked up her colleague who carelessly doublechecked the application for potential errors. Now, I'm struggling to get hold of the passport office that are not taking any calls. AusPost is not responsive either! Very awful experience!

Worst post office with queues that long sometimes you're standing outside the front door. Customer service is poor because of a major language barrier and they're just not helpful overall. There's only one Chinese lady who puts herself out for customers and is always cheerful. A lot of the customers let others go first just so they can be attended too by this lady. Quite often i go in there and there's 1 or 2 staff at the counters and the queue is a mile long. I don't know how Aust. Post can justify the exorbitant postage prices when you have a service like this.

The queues are impossible. Trying to avoid them by using the parcel lockers is useless - more often than not they're full and you still have to go into the store and face the queues. And it's not the staff that the problem - they're friendly and efficient. They are very poorly supported by the way the office is run - not enough staff, too few parcel lockers and too few parcel lockers in surrounding areas. We need more private delivery services - I've given up on Australia Post lifting it's game and will use other services as they become available.

Worst customer service, very rude staff. The lady wearing hijab was so so rude, unprofessional. I went to collect my parcel. After waiting so long queue, it was my turn and the hijab lady ask me for my id. I showed her my digital id. Still she refused to give my parcel. It was my last day to collect the parcel otherwise it goes back to sender. I told her other auspost office gave me parcel with this id but she told me in very rude way: then go to collect your parcel in other auspost office. Never going there again.

I bought an unlocked phone there, ask the lady behind the counter if it was a touch phone coz there's not much information on the box about what kind of it is and what it does, she told it was. When l bought and found out it wasn't a touch phone l went back there to change it they refused and said coz l have opened it they won't change it after l have spent 150. The customer service was very very poor. There was no SIGN that says no refund or exchange.

Stay away from this horrible post office! Manager Betty, she CUT my passport and cancelled it even before finishing my passport interview, which wasn't supposed to do before lodging it. They are UNPROFESSIONAL and not willing to help people and don't know what they are doing exactly. Stupid. I made formal complaint to Australia Passport Information Service. I wish I can give them Zero. Her attitude towards customers are just appalling.

Do not go here! Disgusting customer service. Old lady with grey hair and glasses I think her name is Agnes, she is one of the rudest people walking, she doesn’t deserve a job and she needs to be sacked. Slams doors in your face, throws parcels and speaks rudely. Thinks it’s ok to treat people like that because she’s worked there for a long time. If you hate your job so much then what are you doing working? Karma will get her one day.

I was trying to explain to her but she gave me attitude and told me to do myself online? So why would we need your service? The worst post office I have ever dealt with, they have employees who do not have any method of dealing and their work is very slow as if you are coming from prehistoric time and the queue for them is always long and you waste your time waiting only to receive a parcel or pay the bill This is the maximum work they can do after hours of waiting Even one star I feel it is too much for them

I agree with what people are saying the queue is always too long and no one in the area knows how to pay their bills using the automated machines which makes it harder for the customers that just need to pick up a delivery or send something. I do agree they definitely need more staff and maybe someone their to show people how to use the machines they won't learn if they are not taught.

in merylands post office there is no social distancing at all the mark on the flloor is so close to each other im ot suprise that we have so many of corona virus cases, also staff is so rude and dirty i ask lady to clean card mashine she replay i need to use sanitizer which was empty at the front they have very bad custmer service they care about them self not the custmer

Problem with this place is that though they are usually excellent one on one, their queues are long. Their efficiency and pace is a bit slow for my liking. Today both self-serve machines were down. I could not tell if staff were aware or if someone was going to have a look at it. They may have had a sign up, "Out of order until further notice", but I could not tell.

Anyone who owns a business understands the customers experience anywhere is the most important thing, yet I was met with rudeness, bluntness and attitude. Today, the lady, I failed to get her name. Didn't give me my package. I admit, I was late by 10 minutes. Only 10 minutes, I drove 1hr because of the traffic, she didn't even let me explain. Terrible service. Never delivers even though I work from home. Line is always ridiculously long because so many people are waiting to collect their parcels. Opening hours are inconvenient, even parcel lockers don’t work well. I’ve complained innumerable times via phone but they never take action on their promises.

If you're lucky a fight will break out in the queue. Like today, when a woman and her young man scolded a girl for some arbitrary reason. So 5☆ for being open on a Saturday morning, and the queue is also worth 5☆ for the drama. They normally have a security guard, AusPost should pay me.

Too busy all the time! Always long long queue with max 3 counters operating at a time. However, staff is very cooperative and helpful. Its depends on your luck also :) because if someone comes with lots of boxes for courier then assume one counter less :)

From my home address at Merrylands West, it’s searchable to be the nearest Australian Post. I verified my passport with their postal stamp and a signature of a post’s manager is needed for a document to be verified. It’s quick and easy as well.
