I have been shopping for my daughters first car for months. We have been to several dealerships seen privately sold cars and gone all over town looking. Every dealership we were met with someone who only wanted to pressure sell and I do not work well under pressure so we walked out of every one of those situations. They all seemed to have a certain dollar amount before they were interested in selling before even working with us. I had little hope stopping by this location of AutoBasics because I was so defeated by the day at other dealerships. When we pulled on to the lot we were met by one of the kindest gentleman, Allen, who genuinely wanted to help us. (He was only filling in to help the sales person) When the salesman came to take over I thought “well, here comes the pressure” BUT he also met us with a genuine desire to help find what we were looking for. My daughter found her first car at AutoBasics at the Avenues and the whole process from start to finish has been such a nice experience and so painless. We had to bring it back for a slight problem and without hesitation they have worked with us and been the best group of people to work with. Damir was the best sales person to work with. He had the best personality and was amazing at making the process smooth for us. Joe the “finance guy” was just as awesome. The whole staff was great including the ladies in the front!! I know what you're thinking. You go to a used car dealership and you're expecting the guy in The plaid coat with patches on his shoulders chewing a cigar looking at you like a shark looks at its prey. All he can think of is how much money he can get out of you for as little in return. That is SO not the case with Autobasics. Not only do I highly recommend them but I will use them anytime I'm in the market for a car. I was greeted by the salesman Don who should absolutely no pressure and encouraged us to look over everything we looked at top to bottom. He was knowledgeable at the product and was more than happy to help in any situation. But he also kept his distance when we needed. Don breaks the rules when it comes to car salesmen. Had a very great experience with AutoBasic. This was my 2nd purchase in 33 months from this dealership. I traveled from South Carolina after speaking with Robert for my firsts vehicle. Robert’s customer services was excellent and painless. My vechicle of choice & all documents was ready when I arrived at the dealership. I’ve never had an excellent experience like this at a car dealership before. When I decide to purchase my second vehicle I reached out to Robert because I wanted the same experience from my first purchase. First things first.... Honesty and follow through!! That’s how I would describe my experience with Marek Hall at Auto basics in Jacksonville. I was shopping for replacement VW beetle for my daughters car that was totaled due to a lightning strike, yes a lightning strike... I called Marek on a Saturday and since I was located in Tampa, we discussed the car, price and we were able to work with his team over the phone. Within a matter of 35 minutes I had pictures and purchase proposal that included all expected fees and cost. It was a professional, smooth and easy deal. Marek took the time to get me the pics I wanted, addressed all my questions and concerns about the car. As soon as I let him know I was in route he agreed to hold car until I arrived. His presentation of the car, the purchase agreement was all accurate honest and fare. Despite the menopause party music playing in the showroom during my visit, I would defiantly contact Marek and Auto basics if I am in market again. If i could leave a zero I would. I drove an hour and 45 minutes to go buy the thunderbird they were offering. It was for my son, according to the staff, you have to be 24 to drive it.The car is a 2 seater...I could drive it but needed a staff member to ride with me...so my son wouldnt even get to ride in it unless I bought it . But who buys something without knowing if the owner is going to like driving it or even know how it rides. The car was being sold for almost 12 grand, it may not seem like much but we were the only ones there to BUY a car. Had we been able to test drive it and liked it, we would've bought it and driven the car off the lot. Your loss I will spend my money else where. I am sure other companies will allow me to test drive.

Great business done today. Left with the car all today they made sure I had the keys when I left. Alex, my salesman was phenomenal, very chill and made the whole process comfortable and easy. He was a great help, was very glad I got him as my salesman (TOP TIER SERVICE)!!! That man made me feel like an old friend. Joe, the financial manager was great as well he did everything he could to make sure I left the lot with the car. Very chill guy as well very straightforward, very casual and professional at the same time. Overall great experience 11/10 would recommend. Business didn’t come off as “shady” and i’m very happy i went with them today. Just gotta see how long this car lasts!! Seems they serviced it well and made good inspections.

We drove down to Autobasics to look at a Scion tC for my son( first car). My husband was told on the phone the car was in great shape. After several visits to other dealerships we were hopeful, but ready for a letdown. When we pulled in the car was out front and it impressed us as first glace. We were greeted at the door by Colby who immediately got the keys and we went for a drive. The car was great, and everyone was really welcoming! Such a relief to find a no pressure dealership. Not what i expected from a used car dealer.. WAY BETTER!!! I bought a car that had just been traded in. They were aware of one fix that they made before i took possession.. Said if i had any issues they would take care of me and that i had 3 days to return the vehicle. I was skeptical but took the risk because it was a great deal and the carfax was clean. Without getting into too many details, we decided to return the car, fully expecting that the "3 day return" was a longshot. But I was wrong and they took the car back without any hesitation and refunded my down payment that day. Scotty, Alex, and Joe were all awesome to deal with and even though it didn't work out this time, they definitely earned my trust and future business.

I went to KBB to assess the value of my car. Posted that I was interested in selling it. Autobasics responded immediately that they were interested in purchasing my car. Some back and forth texts and an appointment was set. They did an inspection and we quickly agreed on a price. Less than retail but I was selling wholesale and got a fair price. That's the cost of not having to deal with doing the driveway sales dance with whoever might show up. The whole process was quick and painless and the staff genuinely friendly. I drove home with April, the sales manager, to remove personal items and the plates. April gave me a check and I gave her the title and the keys. Less than an hour and a half from start to being handed the check.

What a great experience!! I came in knowing what vehicles I was interested in. No one was pushy, I didn't get swarmed by salesmen and I got a good deal on my trade-in vehicle. I had planned on visiting several different locations for a used minivan, but I found exactly what I needed here. Sean Lee was great to work with. He was patient and understanding and let me perform a thorough inspection on the vehicle before the test drive. He had informed me of a few prior known issues on the vehicle and were prepared to sort them out and some things that I found free of charge prior to the sale. Ideally, a negative! Damir's hard inquiry on my credit, confirmation of financing with my bank, and approval helped me buy the truck. However, just as I was about leave to sign the paperwork and pick up the truck, Joe the Manager called to say they had sold the truck. And “Damir” didn’t place a sold” on the vehicle. Bullsh**, he shouldn’t have given a verbal confirmation or solidified my information with taxes, gap insurance and other fees. Overall terrible customer service, no answer to the issue, they’re prepared to make false promises. Before hanging up the phone, Joe said, "Cash talks," which I found to be fairly humorous considering he wasn’t in our shoes. Thanks for lying and recklessly running my credit

Although the facility needs better signage (I almost drove right past), the staffs great personality and friendliness more than made up for it. My Sales Advisor, Jared Godreau was extremely personable and knowledgeable, making for a wonderful and pleasant visit. The manager, Patrick Davis, as well as the other staff on duty, were all very respectful and professional the whole time I was onsite. After all was said and done, Jared Godreau and Patrick Davis fulfilled my mission and placed me in a 2017 RAM 1500 Pickup. They had the best priced newer-model used trucks in Jacksonville... any other place that was competitive to their pricing required a drive to Orlando/Tampa/Miami. Happy w the service they provided and their no-pressure approach... no hard-selling here. Purchased a truck from them the next day after our initial visit... they stayed late past closing hours both days helping us throughout. Last thing, as most places seem to mislead you with lower "internet pricing" where they will jack it up if you don't qualify for all their incentives, this place actually allows you to negotiate and get a better price than their advertised internet pricing.

My wife bought the car online through Alex. The process was straightforward, Alex came in on his day off to finish the transaction, we texted him 20 minutes before we arrived. So far, the car has been great. It looked like the online photos. Once we got it home, we used clay to fully clean the outside and then wax it. It shines like a mirror.
