I am sorry but I cannot recommend this service. Please read entire review! I went to Autohaus for a pre-purchase inspection for a car I was looking to buy. Tim serviced the car before, so I said that at least he knows it and can tell me if there are any issues. At first, I was impressed and was happy to go by the recommendations he made that the car is in good shape and besides a small oil leak and some minor issues everything is fine. I did ask about whining noises from the engine, some leaks that did not look like engine oil and some rough idling at startup, but Tim said they are normal operations for this vehicle and that age... Quoted me for the repairs and the quote was good and quite low in price. Autohaus is very far from me so I cannot take it there to repair the small issues, so I contacted the local mechanic and booked it in to start the repairs. Since then, the situation has changed for the worse, the engine seems to be shaking more and more at startup, the small leak is not that small anymore and I have oil everywhere in the engine bay. Initial diagnostic seems to point to a failed hydraulic steering pump. Apparently the 3 most common symptoms are leaking fluid that is not oil, whining noises and hard steering. All of them were very, very obvious at the time Tim looked at the car but I was still told there is no issues there. I had very high hopes, the service looked very professional, Tim was amazing and very flexible but unfortunately critical issues have been missed and now I am looking at 1000s of dollars in repairs when I could have just said pass and looked at a different car.

My wife and I were recommended to Tim from Autohaus after our Mercedes Sprinter went into limp mode. We showed up unannounced and straight away Tim had his scan tool plugged in and found our issue about 5 minutes later. He got us on the road temporarily until the replacement part arrived the next day, which he fitted and had us on our way in no time. Tim really knows his way around European vehicles and we can't recommend him enough. Thanks again for getting us back on the road mate

Tim at Autohaus is an absolute legend of a mechanic, thorough, meticulous and always goes the extra mile, fairly priced and will keep you in the loop if anything needs attention. If you are planning on booking your vehicle in (which I highly recommend), just ring and book ahead. I've had my car serviced at Autohaus for a long time now, nothing better than the reassurance that my car will be running 100% Thanks Tim.
