I booked a car with Avis through booking.com. when I came to pick up the car they told me there was a problem that they hadn't received the full payment. They told me it was my responsibility to contact booking.com even though I had paid the full price already. I tried all day calling booking.com and emailing them. I was stressed about it the whole time I had the car and couldn't enjoying the outting I had planned which was the reason I rented the car in the first place. When I returned the car they handed me a recipe for the amount of the car rental. They had put through the amount again. So I have paid TWICE and they have left it to me to deal with THEIR PARTNER COMPANY. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. HOW DARE THEY PUT IT ON THEIR CUSTOMER TO SOLVE A PROBLEM BETWEEN THEM AND A PARTNER COMPANY. TURNS OUT THE PAYMENT THAT 'WASNT COMPLETED' WAS BECAUSE BOOKING.COM CHARGES A BOOKING FEE. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL

will NEVER use this location again. The staff was slow and when finally got to rental and getting everything squared away it was close to closing time. I arrived at 430 they close at 6 the man who worked there stomped around making it very obvious that he was ready to go. The lady informed me that she was not being paid for the extra time and that she would have to pay him. Why would that be my issue. Then she said that the computer timed out and asked me to return in the morning. I had a sick friend waiting in the car the entire time who drove me to this location. I needed up leaving without a car and my ride was not happy. When he went back to ask ablout a complaint line the non English speaking man slammed the door in his face and refused to give anything. This location is not one I would use ever

I have dealt with all the major rental companies and lots of smaller ones but never have I been treated so well by the staff at Avis in Preston. Picking up the car was easy, it was in pristine condition, driving it was apleaseure, it was all over to soon, taking it back and getting my bond back was so smooth and easy. I learnt that the man and woman (sorry I forgot to get your names) serving me are married and that many of the extnded family are involved in the business. Fantastic people, a great experience. I highly recommend them to you all. I will be going back next time I need a car. Warmly Kevin

I booked a car rental through CarTrawler and requested a toddler seat to be included in the booking. Despite CarTrawler's confirmation, it turns out that this request was not received by Avis and we only found out when we arrived at the shop. What almost became a disappointing holiday road trip was saved by the Avis staff, who managed to procure a child seat from a staff's personal car because there were initially none on site. All the staff were helpful and friendly throughout, and my family and I were grateful for the assistance. Recommend to book directly through Avis instead of aggregator sites.

Rented a car from this place and it was the best experience you will ever get, staff were kind and understanding as we were travelling in Melbourne so we had more questions to clarify before we made our booking… They explained all the documents and told us on the cost upfront (no hidden charges at all) and were kind enough to wait for us as we were running slightly late due to an accident that happened on the freeway… Awesome people will definitely recommend anyone looking for a car to rent from them

Great rates, condition of vehicles and they are honest, no rip offs. Awesome staff, made the pick up so easy and quick, the run through of operating the truck controls was thorough and thoughtful of the area we were using it in. The truck was clean and odour free with no signs of any trouble all day as we were using it to move house. The return was just as friendly and all staff were very professional even while being very busy. We will definitely return any time we need a rental either truck or car. Hi there I am not one to give a review but I think this place has definitely deserved it. I have rented a car at a grate price and due to not having the car I wanted I got an upgrade to a better car with no charge. The car was super clean on pick up the staff member Roy was really welcoming and friendly and I don’t have a bad thing to say but the place.. thanks Roy and his team I will definitely be back if I’m need off a car again thanks guys

After getting our truck cancelled the day before moving by Europcar which we booked a month in advance, we rang around everywhere and Avis Preston came to our rescue. They made a truck available and the husband wife team realised how much of a pickle we were in and gave us the truck overnight to move. They were so lovely and really did everything to help us. Thank you so much Avis Preston I cannot recommend them enough !!! :)

Attempted to suggest graffiti done during my hire. (Didn’t work as images taken then attached to hire contract before I moved vehicle) Realised vandalism was done previously to their credit. Cannot emphasise enough to record hired vehicles inside and out before driving. With a mobile phone on video will only take a few minutes, potentially saving $100’s or even $1000’s depending on your hire contract.

Very friendly and helpful staff..(Waited for me after hours, because I was late to return the truck) The truck was easy to handle drives very smooth, Hydraulic lift works beautiful. Truck was handed to me immaculately clean, which I haven't experienced before. With all the stress of moving, AVIS PRESTON was the only pleasant experience of that day... Had to help customers of theirs to get a replacement FAULTY GPS in their car as they were touring from Germany. ..xame to my workplace for guidance and ended up taking them to Avis for assistance myself. Over 1 hour to get them a replacement unit

Absolutely amazing, I live 4 hours ago, was caught in traffic and was incredibly stressed. They stayed open until I arrived well after 5pm and were kind and courteous enough to show me how to drive the (huge suv) I'd mistakenly booked. 10/10

Terrible customer service, definitely don’t know how to keep a customer, they charge almost 4 dollars a litre for petrol and over fill a tank on purpose even though we never received it like that in the first place.

A much better pickup location and far easier than heading into Melbourne city. Service-minded staff, car was ready, clean and with an explanation of vehicle controls - overall, excellent. Highly recommended.
