I'm literally 3 weeks out from taking legal recourse.... Disgusting - not ONLY was I charged for fuel return (I was told it would be about $80 after they had to swap my car because while walking out to get it someone else drove off in it and I got a hybrid in the swap - it was not $80). Additionally 4 DAYS AFTER dropping off the vehicle I was hit with a $174 1 day late return when I actually returned the vehicle 12HOURS earlier than what they listed.- as per images they have clearly overcharged and made another error...(let alone the $200 charge for a 'bond' which has zero meaning given you choose your insurance level cover and excess!! I was told "I'm sorry someone will contact me to correct the mistakes" why have such obvious errors to begin with? Not only did I think ahead and take video of the drop off but the drop off gate number plate camera tells them when it was returned... So unless they are changing me for the car that I booked and they didn't end up giving me then they have no excuse whatsoever to take up a customer's time to prove how incompetent they are. I'm not even sure they understand they had me *sign* paperwork for a vehicle someone else used!! This entire experience is just disgusting i wouldn't recommend them to anyone

Don’t hire from here if you have require a baby seat. Avis; Train your staff how to install baby/infant car seats correctly and safely! Would give zero is possible. First car seat was so loose my daughter would’ve bounced off the ceiling, and the second (using iso fix) was just as bad. They even sent a team of 3 staff to “install” the second one, who just simply walked off when they thought they were finished, and didn’t even bother to check if we were satisfied! By this point we had waited almost 2 hours and decided to cancel our car, get a refund, and get the safer and more reliable SkyBus. No apologies give by any staff. An absolute joke of an experience. Horrible start to a holiday. Will never use Avis/Budget in the future.

Arriving in Melbourne my wife thought I’d booked the rental car and I thought she had, panic set in. We walked accross to the rental companies and Avis/Budget was the first one we went into, and that’s where we met Fran! Wow, if you looked up great customer service in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Fran. Just can’t rate her and Avis/Budget highly enough, found a car for us, upgraded us for free and was just pleasant to deal with. Fran made us feel like we had known her forever. If only more were like her, well done Fran, keep it up

Staff demanded i pay a $200 bond for the car even know i had pre paid online a month before arriving. Then when returning i GPS to a petrol station and the gps took me into the rental returns and they initially did not want to let me leave to go fill it up. was only allowed to leave again after mentioning it to the manager and she noted i was actually a couple hours early so can leave with the car again to fill it up.

Picked up a Tesla Model Y with a missing charging cable. Their customer service asked me to contact the airport office but calling the number for the office automatically redirects to the customer service hotline, which is bloody infuriating. And their roadside assistance is only catered towards regular gas vehicles. +1 because the staff at the office were actually nice on collection. Please fix your hotlines.

I recently rented a car from Avis and Budget Car Rental, and I was impressed with their service. The car was clean and in great condition. The staff was helpful and efficient. Avis and Budget are reliable choices for car rentals.

There are honestly 12 groups of people waiting to get into cars. We’ve been here since 19:10. It’s 19:30. It’s been 3mins since the last car was dropped. That’s gunna mean a possible 40min wait for some. Go elsewhere.

I have to pay 165 because a fight cancelled why the x was my responsibility. Oh well I need to rent a car once a month so congrats they just lost more money + 1 star review

service from staff was very helpful. car was suitable for our needs. just a pity I left my glasses in the car after we dropped it off at Melbourne Airport.

This branch. generally only have 2/8 help desks manned. Allow at least an extra 30-45min to your journey when collecting a car here.
