B&M's have great product's at fantastic prices, this particular branch had a great inventory but was all over the place. I initially went to the colindale branch and unfortunately they didn't have a garden center so I went to the Willesden one and boy what a difference in management! It's like a circus at the Willesden branch. Staff either hiding in the back or having a casual chats in groups. One was filling a trolley of reduced items for herself from the clearence stock and I approached her to ask her if they had a particular colour of the cuprinol fence paint in stock and I was told to go to the front desk. When I got to the desk the young lady was new and didn't know how to do a stock check and called for assistance via the PA system and guess who turns up with her clearence trolley!?! When asked if they have this particular colour she responded no we don't have it. I asked could you please check your system she said no we can't. As I walked out I saw half a pallet of the colour I wanted outside the exit doors. I picked up 5 and said I found them outside but the staff had no interest and took my money with no response. Apart from that treasure hunt all good with ample parking.
I have been to B&M in the past and have always returned with some mixed feelings. The trolleys were standing in the rain, with water tripping. However one needs to have them. I spread some plastic bags and went in. The place was moderately tidy. The items online that were on discount were there but with original prices. The advise was to carry such items to the till to check discount. That took a chunk of my time. Replenishing of the aisles was happening at an awkward hour and there were trolleys in odd places. They were definitely short staffed. In order to get a perfume from the locked cabinet, I experienced delay and about 4_5 times announcement was made to bring one of the employees to do the job. They were short staffed surely. I advise to go there after having a look of the things online.Since there is a lot of items of choice, one can go astray on the shopping list. There was a mix of prices; cheaper and more expensive than the other high street shops, in the toy section. There is a good variety of low budget bedding, flat , self assembly furniture and bath accessories.Overall, not bad for regular shopping. My tip? Carry a list!
Just to make everyone aware b&m have installed a no return or exchange on food items even with a receipt . They don’t inform people but have a little sign up which they shove in your face. My grandad who is blind in one eye and partially blind in the other asked for help getting the coffee He usually buys but was handed a different type by the staff. No one informed him about this policy verbally. He can’t have that brand of coffee they gave him due to dietary issues. When I went to return the lady who claimed to be manager did not care and kept talking about the policy, even though this is a staff fault not a customer fault. And on the receipt it states no refund or exchange if no proof which I clearly did have a receipt. Then she said she needs to see CTV footage but does not have time to do so. Excuse me it’s your job you get paid to do so. I spoke to head office who then transferred me to the store to find out this lady lied and she was not the actual manager. The real manager issued me the refund. The store also needs a good clean and a air con and they need to open up more tills they have you waiting 30mins + in a queue.
It seems to be one of the bigger B&Ms but is often badly stocked and maintained. The upstairs DIY and furniture section is really good. However downstairs often entire shelves are near enough empty, and on a couple of occasions I’ve noticed that every single item of a particular product on the shelf is damaged. Checkout staff noticed a lamp I had was damaged, told me to go and get another (there was only one more left), and when I had to come back in the next day for some more bits and bobs the same broken lamp I’d left at checkout had been put back on the shelf. Queues are often very long and slow moving, even at busy times I haven’t seen more than 3 out of the 7 tills open. A lot of items are also not really competitively priced anymore and snacks/cleaning stuff etc can often be found cheaper in big supermarkets. This B&M would be great if they kept on top of stock and being more proactive in opening more tills where there’s 20+ people in each existing queue. A basket only till would also be useful as it’s annoying to have a few items and have to wait behind people with whole trolleys full.
Don’t get me wrong I love b and m I’ve been coming here for like 6 years well since I was able to go places without my mum coming with me and usually it’s alright it’s a good place to by my mum presents when I don’t have the funds becuase I’m only 11-16 at the times I’ve gone but this year I went so I can get my sisters and brothers and stuff gifts but it was really disappointing their stuff isnt as good as it could be too many containers not enough other stuff and not only that they don’t know how to display their stuff I picked up something that was stacked in an isle thinking that it was 4.99 coming to the till getting told it’s almost 10 pound you guys need to sort out your displays because that’s not even the first time that’s happened I also got something under the £6 pound category and it came to be £10 Please display it properly or if the prices are what it is before Vat put the price of it after vat coz is so annoying and embarring when u have to put it back because it doesn’t fit your budget.
Has all you need but the place really needs a cleaner it’s not just a bit of dirt it’s filthy inside and out and the trolly park looks to be the place everyone lets the dogs use as a toilet so not pleasant getting a trolly then inside the shop really has everything you need but the dust on everything was crazy and the floor must never of seen a mop can’t say anything bad about staff as the lady we asked for an item knew the isle and exactly where it was also everything is so cheap can’t not go there again and again there is also an online site they have that’s great but never as good as going in to buy everything from snacks food milk alcohol new rug bathroom items children’s toys a pool for the garden and tools for the car like the 2023 version of Woolworths everyone will leave with something they don’t need but will love it all
Garden Centre in the evening is pitch black with very low lighting. Dark, scary, intimidating and very quiet. Surprised to find they don't sell plant pots or containers in a Garden Centre. B&M never have any staff on the shop floor to offer assistance or advice. I walked around the whole store trying to find staff and its a big store. No time to walk around so much...I shouldn't have to. Great selection of homeware items and can get what is needed after walking around numerous times. Only issue they don't sell enough pet food, a limited selection. More cat food options including tinned food is needed. I have to travel all the way to Harlesden or Sainsburys Willesden to buy tinned cat food..
There is always a long queue in this B&M with two tills only open and 40 people waiting to be served as the rest of the till do not work. The store needs to updated as there is always a problem with the till and the long queues slow serve most of the staff chatting away in the warehouse or pretending to stack the shelves the product have no labels or the wrong pricing the manager has a blasé attitude regarding customer service. please raise the poor standards as customers do not have a lifetime to waste within your store in waiting to be served as the till is an issue that the head office need to replace and rectify.
The store is great, good range of products at reasonable prices. I am giving a lower rating than I usually would due to the extreme heat inside the store; this is not just the case when we are having a heatwave. Firstly, these poor employees! I have turned around and left the store without purchasing anything as I cannot stand the heat; I spent three weeks in the desert and this was too much for me! This issues really needs attention, it’s like being in a giant greenhouse with only a few ceiling fans pushing around the same old air. It is always significantly hotter in this store than outside!
Great B&M with aisles full of different items. My mum loves visiting this shop as it has so many offers and deals that you can snap up. Well worth the drive to get here. Has 2 floors with the upstairs being home furniture, flooring, painting and display models of furniture items they sell. Downstairs they have everything from pet supplies, kitchen foods to cleaning products. There is also an outdoor area that caters for people with gardens. Easy parking not enough disabled bays unfortunately. Also there isn't any toilet facilities here. I would recommend this place for some good bargains.
Horrible service & very rude staff. We bought a damaged item (olive tree). We asked for a discount or some sort of compensation because the tree branches are snapped and broken. We asked for the manager, instead, a supervisor came and was very rude. She claimed to be the manager and said that ‘there’s not too much damage it’s okay’. I asked if this is a thing for B&M where damaged items are sold at full price and she said ‘only some damaged items’ ..? So I’m not sure what that non-existent system even is. Very rude staff. Not accommodating. Never coming back, lost a very loyal customer.
Normally very good but today I needed to return some things. After queuing for over 1 hour and doing a quick shop, 1 of the receipts was out of date and they weren't going to do a return, I said under the circumstances, i.e virus etc. So lady asked her colleague and he said no basically, I said but we've been in lock down.. he said so, our store has be open.. have you ever heard anything so ridiculous... Anyway after then showing to the manger they did the refunds. Lady on the till was a superstar so friendly and happy
Worst experience ever on 473 High Rd, London NW10 9SL Saturday 5th Feb 2022 1pm: rude store manager that doesn't give a .... on the customer: wrong price on Snickers Peanut butter protein bar (on the shelf £1 at the till £1.49): store floor and manager attitude: " if you don't like it don't buy it"! When asking to speak with superior, the store manager didn' t came to check the situation and left. Not a place I would like to be - completely deceiving selling tactics.
Extremely rude staff. Seems to be a common complaint on the reviews, yet nothing is being done about it. The staff drag their feet when being asked to do their job. They make you feel like you're asking so much of them when you're merely asking them to refund you for a product you did not like. And the ATTITUDE you receive is absolutely disgusting. If I had the time, I would have shown attitude back, but I have absolutely no time to waste on such miserable humans.
This place is quite big and you can probably find most things you are looking for. Just not very well organised and the staff is not very helpful. I had to end up talking to a manager once to get help (whom was very helpful a nd professional) but the general staff was pretty bad. Also be prepared to have to queue even if the store is almost empty as they almost never open more than a couple of cash registers so there’s always huge long queues.
No staff anywhere to help. Uncomfortably hot and busy. Understandably there's issues with items and distribution etc but for such a busy B&M I expected better service. Queues for the tills were unacceptable and really should offer self checkout areas to help with that. The staff I did see were OK but obviously when it is busy and hot people are easily agitated. Such a shame because I love B&M but this branch needs some serious manpower!
This place is so racist the ppl working here r so rude and ungrateful, the workers r always so moody, the african and jamaican lady r so racist and always so moody, one of the lady working here has no teeth and dirty missing teeths my 10 month old baby has more teeths than her, she is so disrespectful and didnt want to change my item cause she was tired, changed it after i called security on her. DO NOT EVEN deserve one star.
I've never been to a store which has such atrocious staff or service! Not a single member of staff knows how to be helpful and everyone is only interested in passing the buck. The queues at the checkout tend to be extremely long with only 2 tills open despite there being many members of staff around the store. I do not intend to bother going to this store again as the visit leaves a lot to be desired.
Extremely bad customer service Will never use this store again. Went to buy a clothes airer, checked online, website stated there were plenty in this store. None in stock, I asked four staff for help, each unhelpful and diverting me ask another staff member. I asked to see manager, he did not come to see me, but told the cashier to tell me to complain online. I left there very dejected and angry.
It has what I need and things that I don't. It's good at Christmas for the range of odd bits you can buy there. Tins of food are cheaper in Poundland tho. Staff need to keep on the shop floor more to help people. Staff keep disappearing. Too crowded round the tills. Staff were nice and friendly but didn't seem bothered to show customers where things were. Staff need more stock knowledge.
This store is on 2 floors as well as having a gardening area out the back of the store. My visit was only quick and on the main floor. It's that time of year when it gets rather difficult to manoeuvre around certain parts of the store. Checkout area was a bit mad. The cashier though was outstanding. Full of life and completely interacted with you. My local branch need more like her.
A vast warehouse of a building with no aircon, just ceiling fans that don't work. So you swelter in the extensive queues at the under-staffed tills in summer. The good bit is the garden centre out the back. Very reasonably priced good quality plants, including interesting hardy ferns if you burrow around that are difficult to find elsewhere. Nice houseplants inside as well.
I have always had a soft spot for B&M as they sell stuff you just don't get elsewhere. They're a big discount shop so expect lots of clutter. Extensive range of decorating materials and high quality tools and car related stuff as well as gardening items and the Do-it-Yourself stuff is very good. They have a surprising amount of good food items on sale. Well worth a visit.
Used to be great but the last few times ive come here most shelves have been ridiculously empty. Its very unorganised and messy at times too. Can get overly crowded on a weekend. Always decent customer service but the lack of products and time spent in queues is the reason for 2*. Wouldnt surprise me if this store closed down soon with the lack of stock.
A third of the items doesn't have price tags. There's always a queu at the till and nobody bothers about opening further tills. Latest joke: The outdoor garden section gets closed during the hours of darkness. I guess that means no garden utensil shopping after 3pm in December just because B&M is too greedy to install floodlights.
Cheap prices in some items but caotic business. You never know when you are going to find the products you are looking for. Also most of the times there is not price tag in the shelf or the product is not in the right place. Irregular restocking and useless website. Long queues at the till and now with covid19 long wait to go in.
Unbelievable how the staff can cope with so many rude customers. Hard to shop in a place where customers mix everything up on the shelves. And still the staff try to keep everything presentable. I've noticed the 2 securities weren't wearing mask, and so the lady which I assume is the manager, whilst chatting by a closed till.
Even though they are currently fighting to keep their shelves stocked during this current crisis. Staff still helpful and friendly. And you can still pretty much get almost everything you require here. Apart from the insanely long queues which are understandable. Staff help to keep the customers calm and happy.
The B&M store has a variety of items from food shopping household items, DIY tools, cloths and toys. Great prices. The only thing that lets them down is the queues. Only had two staff out of 5 tills. They are understaffed which makes it difficult to quickly buy a few items or even ask staff any questions.
Terrible, I never got to go in as the staff were throwing people out the ship early as apparently they can only do a stock check during advertised opening hours. Wasted my time and money travelling there. Youre better off going to B&Q or similar as they stick to their advertised opening times. Beware!
Fantastic store and super friendly staff. Place is safe to shop have a safety dividers at check out. Sometimes there is a long ques inside. Perhaps opening more checkouts would help. Getting customers out fast lowers the risks. Otherwise good quality products and prices are good to.
I just love, love, love this place. You go there for a couple things and leave with plenty. The staff are friendly and helpful. The items are value for more with very few cheaper elsewhere. They already have stocked up for Christmas which is great if you like to start early as I do.
A great store! You can find almost everything you're looking for. It has two floors and is quite big. Anything you need from house stuff, garden stuff, construction tool, home furniture, toys kids. You can even find canned food, lot of chocolate, and soft drinks. Prices are average.
Went in to the Willesden branch today, it felt like 40 degrees in the store, no air-conditioning on q very very hot day. Treating staff like that who have to stay in there all day is completely inhumane. It is illegal to allow staff to work in those conditions, I'm disgusted.
B & M is a great store you can buy what you need but most stuff are not there like Junior Bronchostop I wanted to buy was online but when I went to the store it was not there checked with my active toddler 3 times pacing around whom managed to get out of his buggy
Baring the queue. I had great service. I believe the guy service me was either the manager or supervisor. Even helped carry the green turf, then brought me the trolley. 1 more checkout got open. Reasonable/Cheap and cheerful. Some dying indoor plants on sale.
Always a long line of people waiting to pay and not just now and again, it's every time I go in. Don't management realise they need more staff? I've decided against going there again. No complaints with staff. How they manage to stay upbeat is beyond me.
Massive store selling almost everything you could want. Large variety of items and good prices on certain items. I mainly buy tealights from here and other decorations for the house. Lots of parking outside. Decent sized bays as well. Never usually full.
Great selection of cheap stuff. If you're looking for a wilko crossed with a pounshop your in luck a huge selection of homeward, toys, dry foods and the like in what was the old Matalan. Personally I preferred the Matalan but each to their own
Thought this would be a great store as it's so large. Shelves were empty, shop was dirty, waited in the queue to pay for 35minutes!!! Lift was dangerous and not working properly. It snapped 3 nails off my fingers which was very painful. It
Really like this place, so many affordable items and still good quality. I brought some cool Italian seasoning mills and salt mixed with chilli flakes mills. As well as cans of Pepsi and other snacks. Not only the food but the home stuff
Amazed by the queues until got inside. The selection of foods, homewares so reasonable! Garden centre outdoor pots best value I've seen anywhere. Half the price of the dedicated garden centres, great selection. Staff v friendly & helpful.
Easy to get there via public transport links, and plenty of parking if you are going there by car. A good selection of various foods, toiletries, bedding, paint and gardening equipment, plants etc. Good value for money with some items
Security guards were hysterical most of the staff are very friendly. Some of them really need lessons in customer services and manners. It let's the rest of the team down. Customers need to follow social distancing and not push past,
It was my first time visiting this store and along with the amazing footage and superb prices the staff were super friendly and helpful. This one man went above and beyond to check out my enquiry and find out when the stock would be
It is a nice place for shopping, a lot of choices. For me personally, if I stay more than half an hour inside I get a headache because of the smell (chemicals, plastics, etc.); maybe they need to improve the ventilation system.
Great bargains but if you haven't got all day, I wouldn't bother. The queues are horrific with not enough staff on tills. The ones that were on the tills, couldn't work them and called for assistance during every transaction.
A great place for low priced groceries, garden goods and home wares. An excellent selection of home decor and ornaments. Free parking for a large number of cars. Only downside is often there can be long queues at the tills.
Amazing staff that helped me loads today. Especially the manager who let me use the staff toilets to clean up after falling in paint outside the store. Also great prices, brought lots of birthday pressies for my girls.
You can find good things, and not so expensive, but the staff is a lot unprofessional, with no knowledge about what they are selling, you just have to make it on your own if you are searching for something specific.
Not as good as it used to be. In previous years they had lovely Christmas products and gifts at reasonable prices. This year it is a bit drab, also not enough supermarket trollies. May be sign of the times.
There are always a long queue at the checkout and they will open another till and serve customers who are behind you after you just asked them if they are opening a till. Don’t think it will be a quick trip
Arrived to find the store closed, when on Google it states open! Very annoying. Not one of the best B & M stores, some of the shelves are often empty. The area I find the best well stocked is the pets
Great for picking up decorations and snacks. Very busy due to Xmas shoppers, but only 3 tills open. Queues too long. Lots of staff walking around who could asset at checkout. Should be better staffed
My 2nd visit to B&M, many items are cheaper than other supermarkets, a wide range of choices but some of them were out of stock, I came back few days to return a machine but I found them still OOS.
Huge place, you can find anything you need. I personally love it for that, and for the competitive prices they have. Unfortunately I can not give it 5 stars because I got a bedside table that was
It was busy when I visited so I dumped my items as there was only two tills open with long slow queues. Could not be bother to stand there for how little I had. Maybe I need more patiences. …
You find good things in here from time to time. Usually things I buy in other stores I find a lot cheaper in here. I wonder why that is... Overall it’s a great store with a vast variety of items.
Location wise the store is convenient to me due to availability of the public transport from/to my place. This store has a very good DiY section which is not available elsewhere. I can
I went there on 9th Dec 2023 the customer service is terrible and the shop floor is dirty and this is my first time going there horrible never ever again I will go there rubbish
I like this place. Its local to me and cheap place to shop. But be Prepare to be in a queue for paying for your goods. They have more employees on the floor, than the till....
Sometimes theyy have good deals. They have a parking so it's easy to shop there. Well..the green area...let's say the flowers in the cimitery is more alive than inside B&M.
Great store shelves well stocked and a nice selection of products. Car park is untidy and very. Dirty if I owned a re I would not want to park her needs a good clean up.
Loads of household stuff and great prices. The only problem is this store is not managed! Always has massive lines at checkout and staff chatting with one another!
Has everything you expect of B&M. has become more expensive in the past year though, so you can definitely shop around more if you’re looking at similar products.
Was wondering if there can be more plant varieties kept for people who are interested in gardening of fruit trees and if more native UK varieties are kept.
All the staff here are super friendly.Security personnel are also very professional and always go out there way to help you in my experience.
Lots of various items to look for. Some things may be a bit pricey somewhat! My purpose was to buy cat litter and worthy of the 30litre bag
This is the best B amd M Garden store in London. Much more bigger and more available items than the Leytonstone Garden store.
A lovely arrangement of affordable items! Was extremely impressed! Shared my experience with family and friends! ❤️ …
Very good food store in the zone. Some offers and some products low price. A lot of different options of toys. Very nice
One of the best stores. Lots of choice and the garden part is great. Decent prices. Car park can get busy sometimes
Used to be good! Not anymore! It’s no longer a bargain store. Expensive and over priced so no point of it any more
Good bargains similar to pound shop prices. Have some decent furniture and nice homewares for new home starters.
The place is a bit run down. Selling mostly low quality, low priced products. Not all products were priced low.
Not what is advertised, some of the items are ok but some are expensive it depends on what you are after.
It has parking. The size is big and has variety. They don't sell alcohol or any mixers for cocktails.
Nice store. Could really do with more staff on the tills as when it's busy the queues are crazy
Beware of parking. They fine you for parking after spending hundreds in their store.
Absolutely perfect on all the products and great staff of Willesdean branch.
Pretty decent sized b&m I'd say. Good deals and all as always …
So so hot in there l wont be back till the weather gets cooler.
Good offers, but not everything is a bargain at this store
Great store must visit all in one, great customer service
No air conditioning. Super busy not all item price .
great staff, great selection! good store!
Wide variety of products I recommend it
Its ok. Racist staff anti white
