Worst customer service I have experienced from a big brand home store. They should be ashamed! I’ve just moved into my new house and was recommended to come by friends who have been customers previously. I went to the store and spent up to 2 hours getting things for my new home and had items that came up to approximately £300+ including kitchen cutlery, I got to the till and the person who told me he was the manager told me he couldn’t sell me the cutlery because I didn’t have ID, after a sigh like any human being would do after being told they can’t get something they’ve spent a lot of time to get it, I then said can I buy the rest of the items and he refused to serve me because he didn’t like the way I reacted, when told I couldn’t purchase the cutlery like I am his child? He then told all of his staff not to serve me and they started to ignore me when I asked what am I going to because I’ve just spent 2 hours in a store and my home is practically empty. The manager told me I was banned and it was all escalated because I supposedly was rude when I sighed and clearly said I wanted the rest of the items instead, so as a human being we’re not allowed to have normal reactions to things while shopping, I don’t know what type of narcissist behaviour that is but it definitely shouldn’t be happening in a customer service environment. I now have no items in my own home and I’ve wasted my time in this store, I would never recommend this store to anyone let alone someone I dislike not because of the items but the staff in this specific store. In Barking which is a community that is filled with friendly people I was shocked how I got targeted and made an example off which I thought was discriminating and also temperamental. I deal with people on a day to day basis in my career jobs and I’ve never treated any customer in the way I was. It was disgusting but I also sensed the managers bad mood when he told the customer behind me to shut up after he involved himself and was suggesting he should let me buy the rest of the items. I don’t wish that type of customer service on anyone that is shopping for their own home. I asked for his name and he refuse to give it to me so I will describe him, he’s a middle aged man, looked like he was from Asia and about 5 ft 10, the manager of this store must be retrained on how he deals with situations because being over dramatic and drastic has now ruined the rest of my week, I will leave this review on every B&M store on google if I have to because I was targeted and I’m not one to keep my mouth quite about it. I will also be contacting the complaints department daily. I will not be made to look a fool because of a normal reaction or not even having ID which is a simple error especially for someone moving out for the first time. Until this guy is trained again on how to speak to customers or sacked I will not stop complaining about the service I received because it has brought me trauma and justice for this kind of erratic behaviour must be served. You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors. I suggest no-one invest in this company because I will not be wasting my money at any B&M store nationwide again. You’ve just lost a customer.

How has this store got so many stars? Every single time I go in here I am appalled at the poor customer service. I only go in out of desperation because Barking now has so few shops! These people who work here should be grateful to have a job and they behave like they are doing you a favour, they have not been taught by management that our service is what pays their wages. Today I queued patiently, while I watched the cashier seem to be polite to everyone before me, when I arrived at the till no mention of sorry for your wait. What would that take to just utter those words! She then proceeded to scan my things and instead of put them on the other side she dumped them back where the next customers items were. I was carrying a heavy bag which I needed to put down on the other side to put my items in, but the previous customer was still packing her things. So out of politeness I was waiting for her. The rudest cashier I have ever dealt with in my life with her rude body language and words proceeded to tell me have you seen the queue?! Is she kidding....or possibly stupid...I had just waited in that exact queue for 10 minutes! When I pointed out her rudeness instead of apologised she became increasingly rude telling me to hurry up! I am now going back to the store to complain to management and will be contacting head office until I receive an apology.

VERY UNSATISFIED with my recent purchase!!! I have bought a Hollywood Dressing Table (product number 363223) and when this was opened the mirror was broken and pieces of glass were missing , the mirror was dirty and it says on the box that 6 LED light bulbs are included which were missing from the box! When i picked the box I noticed that this has been used before as it’s been sticked back together but i thought it was minor as I expected it to be brand new and in satisfactory condition since I’m buying it from the shop… i have paid £100 for this table with the mirror only not to be able to even use it as it’s broken and pieces are missing!!! As you can tell from the picture the mirror is dirty (which looks to mw like dry blood) and broken ( can’t be due to me bringing it home as it’s been delivered with care) and dirty, even the frame and the light bulbs weren’t even included in the box!!!

Customer service is really awful The price tags are missing, the products are organised poorly. No crew were nearby. Online price and shop price do not match. Looks like they are giving you the products for free? The counter is super crowded. The dead plans are sold, things are broken. I am giving two stars only because of the cleanliness. As an only super shop in the market people go there if there was a slightly better one nearby I think no one would go. Avoid this place if you have an alternative. To management: Please improve your customer service, update the pricing and ask your staff to smile when serving, it’s not a memorial sevince you’re running.

The store its self is extremely well stocked at all times, it has a great selection of products that cater for everyone. My Main problem is the staff, not only are they rude and very unhelpful, but their lack of knowledge of the stores layout, product placement and about the products in in general is absolutely abysmal. That coupled with the fact that that you will only ever see 2 - 3 members of staff in a store that should have 10 - 12 on the shop floor means I would avoid going there at peak times.

I am a bus driver and was on my break shopoing in this store, I brought 12 rolls of wallpaper that I needed to collect the next day when I was off, the deputy manager Mannan,found a box for the paper and assured me this wasn't a problem , I went in the next day to find a lovely nite on the box saying for the nice lady bus driver. I only go in on my break when I'm at work, this shop had a great selection of goods and my visits are always a pleasure

Lovely store.. Love it!!.. Food to furniture. Well priced Alcohol. Latest trend home furnishings. Great sales. Something to suit every pocket. I dare you to just leave with what you went in for. Fabulous pet section. Clothing to baskets/beds/toys.. Just a fabulous range. . Amazing store. Great value for money and great staff even if alot of them looked Pressured. Always give great customer service. Can't fault this store at all!!!!

This store is good and big with wide choice of products. Its a shame about the security they got at the front door. A short African guy who gets into fights with paying customers all because he was trying to rush their shopping when it's not even closing time. Other customers saw this like myself. This guy is disgraceful. He even spits on people. Should not be working their. Shame on b and m.

This store is a joke. Few people inside but there is no trolleys at all, how I can do shopping without? I saw 3 trolleys with customers inside store. Where are the rest ? Also, long queue to till as staff filling shelf's instead of take care to get people pay quicker, only one till open and 10 customers in queue ? Well done BM, think to get better management in this store.

I visited store few months ago to check if they have double egg chair for the garden. I asked employee if they have this furniture in stock, they told yes and that can deliver to my house for a fee. As a result we bought garden sofa set and egg chair, paid for them and as agreed furniture was delivered to the house. Great experience!

You can find everything there, they're all good, until I come to the cashier, I wait for at least 20 minutes every time I arrive in the queue and then I leave without buying it, not just me, many people are serving the customer 0 some of the things they bought come for a refund, no one cares about us because of dealing with them

Much like all B&M stores, this store has many products cheaper than supermarkets and online. This store has a wide range of products and seasonal items. Staff were helpful, although on this occasion I visited, a Manager seemed to be questioning the work ethic of an employee on the shop floor, rather than in privacy.

I'm not sure what the deal is with this particular store, but the staff and/or management need to have a rethink. If you can actually find a member of staff, brace yourself to be met with total disinterest to your enquiry. Left empty handed, which was fortunate as there was enormous queue at the one open checkout.

Nice place to shop. There is some parking available but be very careful paying for it. Machines are not working sometimes and if you dont pay you will end up getting a ticket. Inside b&m there are plenty of options opposite to what we find in a regular super market. Love shopping here

Great selection...bit like a maze though. There doesn't seem to be much thought put into an order to the layout....although that could be intentional as whilst trying to locate what you are looking for its easy to notice, and buy, a whole bunch of items you don't actually need …

Always lots to see but a very very messy stores ,badly maintained , at least 3 Isles were closed off while they were being stocked a disgrace really . The manager at this store needs to be investigated as it is so poorly run and maintained. Put us off we left shortly with nothing .

Really affordable items and nice stuff especially home items. Good well sized branch at barking, with good customer service. They are attentive to queues and usually call out for more staff to come out and assist when needed. Also good collection of food items at a very good price.

I really like this store. its one of the bigger B&M stores in the barking and dagenham area, with a wide arrange of products. has a good sized garden selection but the dagenham store has a larger garden centre. Staff is very helpful and the store is accessible through 3 entrances.

I really like this store as it has a great range of household goods at good prices. They also sell a range of foods at cheaper prices. The only down side is it can get very busy and you can queue for a while. They usually only have 2 tills open. Try and go early in the day.

Great place if you're looking for home bargains. Well stocked. I went in looking for travel sized toiletries but didn't find any. There is a lot here under one roof. Not everything is cheaper than other places but at least you can get most of what you need in one place.

Good variety of snacks, household items, gardening, mix of groceries. Electricals like lightings, vacuum cleaner and seasonal items as well. Mostly prices are really at discount rate. Worth visiting the store at least once to have the price comparison.

It's one of the budget stores in the UK with quality but cheap products. It also has variety of products that you will not see in stores that competes with it. Customer service is very good. You don't need to pay for parking in some of its locations.

Best bargains you can get, mostly if you use the app . I often check the price again with the app because when I scan it there it shows me a lower price and when you go to the till it's actually lower than what the label says. The staff are very kind

A great quiet store which gives you the freedom to shop freely and almost all the products are available at an affordable price and is open till 8 PM almost all day (not sure about Sundays), so it let me go for shopping after my office hours.

Lots of choices but - check outs are all over packed with boxes you dont have space for your basket - really poor slow service - staff at check out didn't engage. customers don't seem top of the priority list - overall needs improvement

Appear small on the outside, but very large on the inside. Large variety of homeware products and love the way it's all set out in order of colours. You only need to decide which colour you want in your home and then go directly there.

The best place to buy crisps/biscuits/chocolates/soft drinks! Just be aware that some stuffs on the selves with no price tags, they may out of best before dates, but still good to eat, and may purchase very low price at check out!

A good place to shop for the DIY items and home furnishings. Prices are competitive compared to Wilco and are better priced. Have not shopped much of their groceries but you will get on their cupboards whatever you need..

Was picking up a mattress. Very efficient. Get to the carpark, phone and put in your order no. You will be messaged and told which bay to go into. Of course, if you don't have a phone you've got no chance.

A good variety of projects and decent prices. The price labelling can be incorrect sometimes so it's worth getting the B&M app to price check by scanning on your phone and avoid surprises at the checkout.

Found some garden furniture we liked here. Unavailable locally so had to travel to find it. Ordering was good pick was a hassle but got there in the end. They do not allow stock check via phone.

There is only few staff and no one is willing to help you they don’t know weather they have the product in store or not when the app clearly showing that they have the good availability in store

Lovely reasonably priced items for everything in the home, from tea bags to paint even vape juice and alcohol, not that I drink alcohol but they do gift sets of alcohol and lots of lovely items

I love being able to find everything I need. The stuff they sell is really good quality, and I know I will be making many more trips in future to get bedding, particularly for the bedroom.
