The eftpos machine has been out for weeks according to the manager. Customers have these options: 1. Pay in cash 2. Use the ATM in store and pay extra $2.5 ATM fee + cash fee on your credit card to withdraw cash. 3. Have someone to bring you some cash while you wait in store. 4. If you only have contactless payment such as Apple Pay, oh well... 5. OTR app pay at pump feature also not available. Westpac reach shows 90% customer prefer contactless payment by 2016. The store did not put out any sign or notice of their efpos issue until they tell you at the counter (after you putting fuel in your car) I can only say for myself but I did see other customers complaining about no being noticed before using their services. The staff member was nice and tried her best to help but can’t say the same about their manager, who blamed their head office instead of putting out a notice. As a long term Velocity frequent flyer member & OTR Member and frequent customer, this has been my first negative experience in about a decade, I’m hoping there will be more transparency in the future.
Not a bad fuel stop when returning from Port Augusta. Caters for private vehicles and trucks Has high speed diesel pumps. Serve your self fuel and pay at the manned attendant inside. Has fast food and snacks like pies and coffee. its open in the evening but I am not sure how late. Was a welcome stop after a long drive, Public car parking and Disabled car parking. Public and disabled toilets / rest rooms located inside. Is a wheel chair friendly facility.
Staff always friendly even when they are so busy with all the pumps full. Place has toilets, an ATM, which costs $2.80 per transaction, bakery and hot food lines, along with usual servo chip and chocolate, ice specials. They often have flowers, gifts and a REALLY good coffee machine! :-) :-)
The car wash bays are badly neglected. Water that comes out of those low pressure spray smells like untreated sewage. Per dollar the time goes by quickly more so than other carwash place. Not impressed. Do some maintenance on those wash bay!
OTR are generally horrible. High prices, bad staff, long waits, frequently out of stock. I dont understand why you would go to one unless you're likely to run out of fuel before literally any other service station
Great service from lady working lunchtime Monday 20th Feb, self serve gerni car wash was on the blink, I lost $5, she gave me plenty of credit minutes to wash my wagon
No b double access and no sign saying it. Had to double split out the back. Put a sign saying no b doubles if you're a truck stop in this area. Rediculous.
Easy to deal with, not bad range. Freezer for ice cream seems to be set a little low. Ice creams were quite melted for the 1 min it was out of the freezer
Slow service I waited in line for 30 mins for subway and there was only one other customer win the whole shop
This is not a Truck Stop, no shower facility’s for interstate drivers
