If you are around South Extension then you should definitely visit this place. Bade and Chote Khan’s twin tombs are magnificent structures, colossal enough to get noticed, located in a prominent area and also in pretty good shape too, but still, hardly anyone knows about them! It is basically a complex of twin tombs somewhat like the Dadi Poti tombs located near HKV. They form part of one of the major components of the Kotla Mubarakpur complex, which includes several other lesser known tombs, mostly from the pre-Mughal era, belonging to various kings and noblemen of the notable Lodi and Sayyid dynasties. As of now, they are scattered around the congested lanes of Kotla Mubarakpur village as well as the posh streets of the neighbouring South Extension locality The tombs are barely a few feet apart. The authorities have now built a pathway surrounding them. Local children play cricket on the remaining space, but as a matter of fact, the compound is disproportionately small for the size of the monuments. The minimal free space is tightly surrounded by walls and beyond them lie the residential & commercial establishments and hence it is difficult to get a clear, wide view of the compound. There is another smaller tomb just a few metres away from the twin tombs. It is not in a very good shape and there are no information boards visible here either.
The Bade Khan Tomb is the larger among the pair of two the other being Chhote Khan Tomb but does not appear on the maps. The two tombs are inside the same campus and the difference is in the cap of the tomb one of them having a small metal pole. I visited here last winter and found that access was limited and by permission from the security due to the prevailing lock down. There is accessible parking but no accessible entrance. ♿ Accessibility Features: No=Ramp access. No=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance. Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet. Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Seating. Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Parking.
Bade khan ka Gumbad: Dating back to the 16th century, the tombs exhibit remarkable intricacy. Bade Khan's tomb has ornate carvings on the front, while the center is encircled by three tiers of niches. Each row's central niche is larger, evoking the classic Lodhi-era style, crowned by chhatris atop octagonal turrets at the corners. The interiors, once finely detailed, now bear signs of wear.

Both Bade Khan & Chotey Khan Tombs are located in the same complex. Both tombs are beautiful & attractive. In Bade Khan, one can enter inside & see the graves but the other Chotey Khan tomb is locked. In between the tombs is a small but reasonably well maintained park where one can see lot of people sitting & children playing. Complex also had walking track. It doesn't have restroom. Again disappointed by ASI which has left the entire complex to one security guard.
Disappointed by the way they’re preserving the campus. There were kids riding their bicycles on the lawn and some were using the tomb walls to play balls. Also a corner of the campus was used as a trash dump. There are two tombs in the campus, one for Bade Khan and one for Chotte Khan. There is no entry and if you visit before 5, you can enter and visit inside the tombs as well.
The mausoleum of bade khan is flanked by three rows of three niches. Twelve chatris adron the top of the four turrets. The interior of the domed chatris have ornamentation with incised and painted plaster bands with medallion.

Bade Khan ka Gumbad is a Lodi era tomb, under ASI and situated in narrow lanes of South Extension 1, C block. You can reach there by Pink line Metro, public transport or by car. Peaceful park is there. You will see children playing there. No entry fee.
There are many gumbads in Delhi that should be demolished as soon as possible and be replaced by the new attractive public places to visit.. Rather than a couple spots..

Very nice monumnet, but needs attention. The inside of the building is full of construction material. This is a national treasure and a world heritage site, it should be preserved and taken care of.
Peaceful place + jab Mausam bahut aacha ho toh iska view aur aacha ho jata hai wo moon wo birds ki awaaz wo baar baar aeroplane ka uppar se guzarna ❤️

It is just an abandoned tomb with hawkers taking a nap in the afternoon. Do not visit if you thought it is a heritage site.

Just a gumbad at the centre of the park, its basically a hangout place for local people. Nothing special.
Tomb of Bade khan and Chhote khan. Good place and beautiful garden with multiple tombs.
Locates in South-ex part-1, good place for walking around in the evening and morning
Place is located amidst residential buildings , very low area and poorly maintained.

Impressive structures lost in time set in a world away from modern Delhi.
It is a very narrow street. A dilapidated gumbuz. There is a small lawn.
