"Bakers Delight has gone from a good tasting bakery with a nice wide variety of baked treats to a pure profit driven business that uses cheap ingredients to make poor tasting & very expensive 'pastries' & bread! I paid $2"
"Disappointed by the quality of this franchise"
The guy working there kept the same gloves on to grab my food, touch money and touch the card machine. I felt uncomfortable so I have spoken with their Facebook account and as it’s a franchised store, they say they’ve passed my details on for a refund. I threw the food in the bin. They ignore their store phone, and no one has called me back. The other people there don’t use gloves and just use the paper piece to grab food. Apparently they’re supposed to be using both. During Covid especially, I find this extremely relaxed and dirty.
Was served by a lady named Patick, who seemed to be want to be anywhere but there. After waiting few minutes for her conversation with her friend to finish (they were chatting about another mutual friend while customers are waiting), I was finally served. She looked like she was about to fall asleep. I was overcharged for bread, and when I spoke ro her about it, she couldn't care less. Never going here or any other bakers delight again. I should have gone to a local bakery, at least they don't look like they're about to fall asleep
At St Leonards station this morning at 10.30, I asked to purchase 6 traditional hot cross buns - this cost me $9! Ah well, I thought. On arrival at my family's home, the buns were chocolate chip! Argh... This afternoon, at Crows Nest, my adult son was longing for traditional hot cross buns. Not only did they have a range of varieties, the buns were $7.50 and a loaf of bread was offered for $2.50! What a huge disappointment, Baker's Delight, St Leonards! Never again! ☹️
Bakers Delight has gone from a good tasting bakery with a nice wide variety of baked treats to a pure profit driven business that uses cheap ingredients to make poor tasting & very expensive 'pastries' & bread! I paid $2.80 for a cheese & bacon roll where the bread tasted like floury water & the cheese was very bland. I do not recommend this bakery at all!!!
Disappointed by the quality of this franchise. Recently got a pizza which was undercooked in the centre, seemingly because they have tried to cook it with frozen spinach on top. The spinach in the pastry items was also cold and partially frozen. A while back I also got a loaf of bread which was stale and impossible to cut and eat.
Ordered a pizza from here. It was cold, they didn’t even warm it up. It tasted a little bit stale as well. Will have to give them the benefit of the doubt and presume they baked it really early in the morning, rather than the previous day. Still I would have expected them to have put under the grill for awhile to heat it up.
31/01/2022 Business hour is close at 6:30pm. I arrived at 6:15pm and the girl working there already closed the shop and packing up. I asked her I thought they closed at 6:30 and she just kept on packing up refused to serve me. Waste of my time. Useless.
They don't make herb and garlic pull aparts anymore (I use to get them every morning for ages), and the other ones run out before midday. A single cheese and bacon roll is $3.70 which is far too expensive, coles sell the same ones at 4 packs for $3.50.
I don't normally like Baker's Delight, however this one is great. Sometimes, the staff don't notice you waiting but when they do, the pastries are tasty and fresh.
Sometimes hit and miss with this bakers delight. The bread is normally good but sometimes inconsistent. Either the rolls are way too big or too small
has anyone noticed their bakery items have gotten significantly smaller or worse in quality as of late? the bread tastes stale too
Not baked fresh daily. I got a small savoury roll in the morning that was cold and clearly refridgerated overnight (or longer?).
Product quality is non-existent at this store. The items look terrible, are undercooked and just dismal. So disappointing.
Most expensive hot cross bun I ever bought $9 for a pack of 6 which Coles sells @ $3.50. It must be Easter !
OK, but no gluten free bread and German baker at Dee Why is much better.
I had a good experience here. Friendly staff and delicious mince pies!
Products not fresh and tastes like cardboard.
Nice staff and break tastes amazing
Best Bakers Delight and great staff
consistently terrible
Predictably yum
