"Love this place"
"Well "
Balkan Bakery is one of the most authentic Eastern European bakeries in metro Phoenix. Their cream puffs and börek are our favorites! Not to mention (as a picky Italian), they have one of the BEST tiramisus I’ve had. You’re missing out if you don’t stop by! PS: If you need to get your Orangina fix in-you can do it here!
Stopped in on a whim. We had never tried any kind of European bakery before, but we’re so glad we did! Everything was delicious!! We tried both the cheese and beef burek, as well as the cream puffs. We were even given free samples of some of their breads, and everyone was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Love this place. Even though the 2 times I went out of my way to specifically go m, was off a review I read. That reviewer was exactly right, everything I've tried has been perfect. I just need to make it early in the day next time. I've only been at the end of the day. Earlier next time for me. More
Well . All the raves about this place are legit. The bread is unbelievable. The brussel sticks are great. And the cream pops are out of this world. I had to cheese Burke, which was OK, but I don't think I would eat another. Well worth the effort to find great people lovely little shop
One of my go to and favorite Eastern European bakeries in Phoenix. The Bureks are always tasty, fresh pita bread is just . I recommend calling ahead and reserving your Bureks in the morning before you arrive for pick up as once they run out, you're out of luck. …
Omg so good. Everything is amazing. I do wish that they offered a cheese and meat in one option for the burek instead of either or. The creme puffs and tiramisu are way above any other place I've tried. I want that creme filling recipe so bad. They're perfect! More
This place was interesting for sure. Some good and some bad. Limited selection of products on the shelves. Long line that moved slowly. Bread tasted good. Lady at register was nice. We will go again to try the cevapi and baked sweets. Worth a shot maybe.
The spinach and cheese burek was absolutely delicious and the tiramisu was as well. You can tell everything is handmade in store because the quality is absolutely incredible. They had some lovely imported goods available for sale, which I'm
Woke up this morning and decided I wanted to try this place. Not disappointed, more like outstandingly impressed. I shared this spiced meat and flakery pastry with my hubby and it was amazing. I swear they make their own yogurt because it
I had loads of expectations to this place after reading the review..Tried their cheese Burek but didnt like that much not sure if I should have eaten then amd their instead of taking it home and eating after reheating.. I found the bread
This place is DELICIOUS! We had the cheese burek, beef burek, and a cream puff. This is my first time trying a burek, and it exceeded all my expectations. The pastry dough was amazing, and the cheese even tasted freshly made as well. The
I wish this business owner all the success you deserve. I also would hope that and your future you find feasible to extend your hours and inventory. Difficult to find the right team of employees but you can trust to keep the same quality.
I finally got a chance to go in and see what they are all about. This is a a family run bakery cooking family recipes. On this visit I had a coffee and baklava. I haven’t had a lot of baklava but this was definitely the best I have had.
Warm cheese Burek...yum with yogurt!!! Haven't had it since my mom passed away 2 years ago. Please watch the video on the website. Stretching out the dough so it's nice and thin (without tearing it) is a skill. I went two days in a row
I had Burek before in turkey and I was always wanted to try it again . I found this small cozy bakery by googling and now my boyfriend and I became regular clients every Sunday. I can tell you The Burek is the best i’ve ever tried and
My first time buying in this bakery, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. I came to try the burkas but they were gone. So I tried two fresh pastries and one sesame pretzel, both were yummy, I will be back for the burkas!!
New to the area, just came in to try the Baklava. It’s amazing. The best I’ve ever had in my life. Normally Baklava is a little too dry for my taste. This was deliciously moist and sweet. I will be back for sure.
This was one of the most amazing sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was to die for. I also had a cheese berek and it was just as phenomenal. This is a truly hidden gem. The owner is such a nice guy.
This place is a favorite of ours. It is a ways away from where we live but it is definitely worth the drive. The burek and cevapi is amazing here. A piece of baklava is a perfect way to end the meal.
The cream puffs are out of this world! If I'm having a bad day all I need is a bite of one of those amazing little treats. my only complaint is that they aren't open 24/7! More
Hands down the best pita bread in the valley. Excellent on the grill with goat cheese or Bulgarian white cheese. Staff is really friendly and the sausages are fantastic.
Tucked away place, found accidentally because they had some good smells coming from there and they were nice enough to refill my fur babies water bowls. Friendly staff.
This place is amazing! Food is delicious, everyone is super friendly, and it just has a beautiful atmosphere. Whenever I feel homesick I'll be sure to stop by More
Friendly proprietors and tasty cevapi! If you want something in particular, call ahead or come early because they frequently sell out of their most popular items.
My favorite go to for delicious bureks. You have to call in advanced if ordering more than 4. Always friendly and always greeted as soon as you walk in.
It's a family business, everyone is working hard and are really nice and helpful. Food is great and delicious; I will go back. More
You can tell this place is loved by the locals and there are many regulars. We were not disappointed by anything on the menu.
Delicious fresh burek, homemade bread and other European foods. Highly recommended.

The best Burek in Arizona. We consistently drive from the east valley just to eat here!
