I went to close my account due to the fact that I was being charged $12 monthly maintenance fees if my checking account fell below $1,500. I had well over that amount in my savings account, but if my checking went under $1,500, even if just for a couple hours, I got hit with the $12 fee. I was told that I should not have been getting that fee and that it was a mistake on BOA's end. My accounts should have been linked so that I should not have been getting the monthly fee. There were two recent fees and they would only give me my money back for one of them. I had spoken to someone last year when these fees first started appearing and they never offered to link my accounts or let me know that I needed to have them linked to avoid the fee. BOA thought it was more important to keep my $12 than to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. The bank manager even told me I should not have been getting charged this fee, but they refused to give me my money back...How is that not stealing? I was a customer of BOA for 22 years and I should have been treated better than this. I am now at a local credit union and couldn't be happier. Get your money out of here ASAP and go to a bank that will treat you in an honest and ethical manner.
Starting with the good: the woman I spoke with at the counter was professional and very kind even though I was obviously annoyed. You rock lady❤️ The one star is for the fact that I spent over an hour trying to call this place with no option for holding or a message. I drive up there and realize the front phones don’t even ring, even though I see them lighting up with calls. All I wanna do is ask if my coins need to be rolled before depositing them (most of my friends banks simply send them off for counting at no charge). I’m informed they do (which is lame but not a big deal) but then they say they can only give me a handful of paper rolls and I will need to buy the rest?? Like I already did all the work and you can’t provide me with paper rolls that cost you probably 1/2 a cent..., esp when I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years? Whole thing was a waste of time and stupid. Update: the Bank of America off 290 near Monterey oaks blvd answered on the first ring and said I can have as many free rolls as I want ! 5 stars for them ! ❤️
Let me start by saying that I have been with Bank of America for 12 yrs. I am visiting from out of town and my bank card info was stolen. Customer Service was great OVER the phone. However I still needed to stop in an get a temp card. When I arrived only 1 personal banker was working. They had Luis a manager watch the front. When he came over to me another person who had fraud changes in her acct walked in and he offered to help her first. I told him I was here first and I'm not waiting behind anyone who came in after me, I'm on a time limit like everyone else. He told me "ok I guess your next" he also told me I needed to make an appt. I have never in my 12 yrs with the bank needed to make an appt to get a temp card lol. I asked for his manager and he said "I am one" lol I didn't ask for you...I asked for YOUR manager. Needless to say the teller helped me... Please work on your customer service...LITERALLY IT IS YOUR ONLY JOB.
This banking institution needs to model their customer service by Chase Banking standards. No live person answering phone which makes it impossible to talk to a banking rep. When entering bank no greete Bank manager openly discussed my clients personal banking business out in the public lobby whereas 10+ banking customers were privy to said conversation. The manager should have shown my client to her office, conducting business professionally and privately. When I spoke to said manager, explaining what needed to be conducted said manager proceeded to be argumentative. Then said manager resumed to state to me that she should be treated with more respect and professionally. That she did not appreciate me not my client. All manager was asked to do was make to rather large deposits into BofA accounts to pay off 2 loans and provide 2 receipts. Manager should never discuss customer's personal business in open public! No exception.
I have been a customer with Bank of America for 12 years. My business has been decimated by covid. Today I went into the office and requested help on a PPP loan. They won't help me because I don't have a business account, although I do have a checking and savings account. When I asked to open a business acount they told me that it's too late. The Congress and Senate have allocated billions of dollars to the PPP program. There is no fine print that says you need a business account. Bank of America just doesn't care about their customers. I've already lost so much money and can't provide for my family. And Bank of America is completely unwilling to offer any help. It's disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Ok I get that this is a busy location and everybody’s gotta be mad about how it takes a while to wait in line. Also, a lot of issues such as check and account cancellations have nothing to do with a branch, but with the fact that it’s a major bank. However, I recently opened a new account with BoA at this location, and came back a few weeks later to open a savings account as well. Both times I was treated with nothing but kindness, and everyone I spoke to was incredibly helpful. Cristian is the man, I will gladly wait an extra few minutes to receive customer service from people I feel like I can trust.
I've been with BOA since '06. I recently learned that they ar merely suggesting that clients wear masks and social distance. They are not enforcing this policy because they dont want to offend clients. That means offending people is more important to boa than the health and safety of their employees and clients. With that, I also learned they fund planned parenthood. So boa is neither pro life nor pro health and safety. Score: F. I will say that the long wait times are the client's fault. If you have a smartphone and debt card, there are few times you ever need to walk into a bank.
Have tried to call this location more than 6 days in a row. I have never spoken to anyone as there is no one ever available to answer a phone call and no way to leave a message for someone to call you back. I set up an appointment as I live an hour away and need to talk to someone prior to driving to the location. I left phone number on appointment reservation and asked for a call. I have yet to hear from anyone a week later. My need concerns a safety deposit box at this location, so no one else can help me from Bank of America....
Warning this customer service rep/manager by the name of Maritza Hernandez A person at the front desk, after confirming they were going to give me money from my account. She informed me that they don’t have to do anything and if I didn’t be quite because I didn’t understand their policy she was going to cancel my transaction. But after telling me to shut up I decided to stand up for my self and any customers who didn’t understand their policy. And for this reason was told to leave by from what was observed was a dictator manager.
WARNING: Do not go here if you are a young girl and alone. I've tried contacting this location about an incident that occurred on 7.18 between 10:10 and 10:20 AM but they never answer the phone. There was a very creepy man circling this location trying to talk with me and getting others to try to talk to me for him. He is in his late 20's or early 30's, was wearing a suit without the jacket, sunglasses, and driving a silver Mercedes SUV. He never tried using the bank services.
Came in early to get an insurance check cashed. Counter person said I needed to talk to a banker she told no one, and 15 minutes later people sitting at desk with no customers while I wait. Had to talk to a banker to get approval and then told by the crabby counter lady that they’d have to call the insurance company. I thought that’s why I had to wait 30 minutes before being able to cash it. Chase may have lines sometimes but no one just sitting around not helping any one.
If I could give it zero I would! Every time I come it is longer than 30 minutes and that's being nice on the time. It's ridiculous that all the surrounding banks are closed on Saturdays and this one is left with one or two people helping. Get more people! Open more locations. Obviously people work during business hours of the week and the line out the door all day should tell you this. Pay your employees more to be here on weekends-you clearly have the clientele for it.
This has to be the worse bank I have ever had to deal with.. if I could give less than a 1 believe I would! In reply to your commit back.. if you’ll cared you would try and fix your bad reviews and all the problems with the bank. The problem is you don’t care. It ring in a line for over an hour is beyond excessive.. sitting in line so long you start watching things. I would hate to be in the commercial lane. You will wait on 3 customers to every one for commercial ..
Bank of America is one of the worst bank it down. I deposit 2 checks back July 20th they froze my do to investigating the checks. And they tell me it takes a whole week for me to get my money back. Very unstaffed and very disrespectful . As soon as my check clearedI'm closing this account and going to Chase Bank the manager at this location does not know how to run the they should put her back to sleep in her mouth floors terrible people to bank with
I could not possibly hate this place more. Every time (daily) I even try to use to ATM, some dopey security guard is blocking the way for someone that spends HOURS doing maintenance. The ATM’s hardly work. The employees have no sense of urgency. It feels intentionally slow, and they are so unprofessional. There are endless lines to use ANYTHING. You’d save yourself time and inconvenience going to any other location. This place is hell on earth.
Absolutely terrible service here. It’s 12:30 on a Saturday with three tellers open. Please schedule more tellers on a day that you guys close early and have higher than normal volume. I am glad I no longer bank with you guys. I’m only here to cash a check and the tellers seem inept at that basic banking task. On top of that I’m not comfortable in this bank at all, unprofessional all around.
Continuing with the reviews already stated....came here to open a joint account with my husband. We both already have accounts with BOA. Walked in to nobody waiting and were told 20 minutes minimum. Meanwhile I counted 5 bank employees milling around (not the clerk's) helping no customers. We waited about 15 minutes and ended up walking out. Fix this Bank of America!!
Went to the bank today it was quite a wait but I waited an hour and 30 minutes which was fine with me because I didn’t schedule appointment after I waited I had the worst bank teller ever she was so rude definitely would never recommend her she was so awful She slammed my paper on the desk and was like you’re finished I swear people need better customer service
My bank is out of town, got a check written on BOA. Came here to cash the check, was told I had to meet with a banker to verify the 150 dollar check before they would cash it, it's been quite some time already and I've not met with a banker yet. This is a tactic to either inconvenience me into going elsewhere, or open an account with them. Not interested.
Unfortunately had to wait 15 minutes when I was the only one in line. One teller was with a customer processing who knows how many checks. While another teller was sitting to the side. Not sure what they were doing but in the time it took me to get served about 6 or seven people piled up behind me. Sad that they have a captive market.
I was told after opening up a bank account and giving them my paycheck I would have at least half my funds by the fallowing day, but now I'm told it'll be an additional seven days! Now where I'm from when you open a bank account and give them your paycheck you have your money immediately, I can't give zero stars if I could I would.
If I could give a zero, I would. There’s typically one teller, regardless of how many people are in line. The bank manager apparently thinks that’s acceptable. I’ve seen some of the responses from the manager saying they’re sorry for the experience, but obviously not sorry enough to make any changes. Very sad
There the worsts Bank here in Austin there the slowest tellers ever and there representatives are the worst to greet people they need to hire different people and make it professional again it's awful I've been to others Bank Of America and this is the worst one in Stassney Lane in Austin 78745Texas
This was one of the best banking experiences I have had. Every staff member was accommodating and personable. It was a very busy day and the line started outside the building but they were moving very quickly to help everyone and I didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes. Highly recommend.
Every time the wait is more than 40 minutes for sure... they only have one person working on the drive thru! I have even considered switching banks because it’s insane how much the wait can be (the longest I’ve waited in drive thru was about an hour and I’m talking before COVID ) …
Ms.Cáceres was very sweet to me, it was my first time their and they made me feel like I wasn’t being judged everyone is so respectful and sweet. The one who helped me explained to everything to me step my step☺️ she did an amazing job I recommend going to her if you need anything!.
They need to hire more tellers, a transaction that should take 5 minutes, takes about 30 minutes, very inconvenient, specially the drive through. Wait line is super long, I understand there are some long transactions sometimes but this is an everyday issue, very very slow service,
Worst customer service. I went to the drive through teller and they had closed it 5 minutes before the time. I went in and with 2 minutes to spare. Got in line and someone came from the back and told me they were already closed. There were still two people in line in front of me
As usual, rushed to get to the bank before 4 pm (who closes at 4 pm on Friday)!? Got there two minutes early - "we close at 4", "but it is not 4 yet", "doesn't matter, we've closed". Geez I hate BOA! That on top of the fact they have closed most of their drive-thru's in Austin.
I would give them zero stars if it were an option! Never any tellers but always seem to have 3 lady’s walking around in the lobby with an IPad. It’s a very normal occurrence to have to wait 30-45 min before you can get anyone to help you! TERRIBLE!!
The WORST staffed and customer experience. After waiting 45 min in the business line, told I could not go in the personal line, the teller told me she needed to leave. As I then waited foe the next teller, the first teller then proceeds to
Horrible. I arrived at one minute till 4 a woman was locking the door as I got out of my car a Hispanic woman was running in the unlock the door. They let her in. They wouldn't let me in I guess that's the way racist bunch of South Austin.
This bank has horrible customer service soon as I walk in Noone was at service Desk for about 15 min then a woman with long hair comes telling me it will be about a hr and 30 min wait meanwhile one gentleman tells her I'm going to take my
Bank closes at 4 Monday - friday, including drive thru. Makes it impossible to do bizness here if u work 8-5. Then only have 2 tellers working on friday afternoon, only day open till 6. Line out the door. I would never do bizness here!!!!!
I was at the lobby the ladies were very nice but they were misleading with lies, tried to open a checking account for my 13 year old son and they told me that my son needed to be present and that was the lie. I open it in another branch.
Consider carefully before opening account or doing business with Bank of America this particular Bank is self-serving their interest s are solely based on their profits and the profits of their their investors they are not obligated to
Absolutely hate this location. Half of the time none of the ATM machines work, so after waiting in a line of cars for about half an hour you will leave disappointed. Total JOKE. Save yourself the haste and just go elsewhere.
Reduced banking hours and staff has made it a nightmare to see a banker regarding anything; especially even with an appointment. Last time I tried to see a banker, I waited an hour and twenty minutes!!! Unacceptable!!!
This is my new bank and the personal bankers are great however the tellers could be more friendly and not so short. I had another transaction I had wanted to do but she was so short with me that I didn't even bother.
Terrible customer service. Bank manager doesn't even have the courtesy nor decency to come out from behind 'the wall' to speak with bank customers specifically asking to visit with a manager about a problem.
If zero stars was an option, that would be more fitting. We have been customer's of Bank of America for 12 years. After today's visit to this branch, We will be closing all 5 of our accounts!!!!!
This bank is short staffed everyday, I would think BofA could afford to have more employees on the pay roll. Be ready to wait in line for a ridiculously long time. Every time you come here.
I didn’t think a bank could get a real low rating, but it’s bad. There is 1 teller and about 15-20 clients waiting. Not moving. A lady ahead of me said she had already been waiting 30 mins
I waited inline 35 minutes to get a check. The bank is badly managed. There was one person severing the line. When one person slowed the line, no other person stepped in.
This place NEVER picks up their phones. Tried 10 times over 3 days. What a poorly run bank. Wanted to open an account and now Wells Fargo has a new customer! :)
Worst location I've ever had the misfortune of using. Every time there are multiple ATMs out of service, rude and unhelpful staff.
The times I have been there they have promptly taken care of me.. Very friendly and informative staff !!
Very very slow people I ever seen in this bank the supervisor should take care of these employees
Been bank there since I moved to Austin in 2000 never any issues. With great customer service.
Zero stars ! Zero attention Zero care 100 liar and abusive.
