I had a terrible experience with Belk's recently. I found an item on their website that was listed as available for pick up in-store. Excited about my purchase, I received an email stating that they were preparing my order and would notify me when it was ready for pickup. However, just an hour later, I received another email stating that the item was no longer available at the store. Naturally, I was frustrated by this sudden change, so I decided to go to the store to get a refund on my debit card. To my surprise, I found the item I had purchased available on the shelves. I approached the manager and requested that they adjust the order and give me the item I had paid for. However, I was informed that the manager had canceled the order because she couldn't find the item in the store. To add insult to injury, the manager told me to wait a couple of days to receive my refund on my card. She even suggested that I could swipe my card again and purchase the item if I found it in the store. This kind of business practice is completely unacceptable. I had already paid for the item, it was in the store, and yet they expected me to wait for my refund? Belk's should not handle business in such a careless and unprofessional manner. It is incredibly frustrating to be treated this way as a customer. I expected better from a reputable store like Belk's.

Very nice place... Very very clean atmosphere and very friendly staff. I needed an outfit for a wedding with complicated colors. When I walked in I was lost as I was looking at the formal wear because I could not find a tie to match my shirt. The associate that helped me picked out a beautiful tie that I saw but sort of overlooked. She showed me how well they would go together and she was right 100 percent. Everyone complimented me on how good I looked and I feel that if it wasn't for her I probably would've looked like a caterer. She also gave me a discount that I didn't even know was available so she helped me in a few different ways. But they have everything you need as far as clothing and a very nice selection of jewelry, shoes, purses, wallets,... Everything... I continue to shop there. They just have anything you want on top of great customer service. If you need anything I would definitely try them out. Prices are good too.

Never any cashier's and the ones that are working are chatting with each other and you have to interrupt them to ask for help or to buy. Selection small. Pricing isn't accurate when sales are on and trying to have them correct a price takes longer than the entire shopping trip. Cloths are on the floor, laying across racks, not categorized by size. No other Belk is this sloppy and inattentive. How they are still in business is beyond me. Every time I have been in the store, and I live across the street, it is this way. This last visit was the last time. I will drive across the city to shop from now on. If I am ever dumb enough to go back, I'll take pictures.

Can’t say enough about the genuine heartfelt service that Ricci provided to my sister in the shoe department. From the beginning her attention was focused on my sisters needs, ensuring she was absolutely satisfied with her purchase. After the purchase as we were walking to our car Ricci came running our way and stated that the shoes were BOGO! We went back inside and picked out another color of the same size! It’s been a long time since I’ve been treated so well in a store...Ricci, you are a shining star and just a beautiful soul! Thanks for making both our days so special.

I can see why the parking lot was nearly empty. None of the sections are labeled here. You have to wander around for a long time to find a specific area. All of the fitting rooms were closed. Also there was an old female cashier who was extremely rude. Nothing has an accurate price. There were signs that told you to download their app to scan your barcodes while you shop to check the price. I put in all my items and the total was $20 cheaper on the app then it was at the checkout line. Overall a really unpleasant experience. Don’t shop here unless you absolutely have to.

Service is great, the store is clean, however, I was shocked to only find clothes from some unknown brands...when I asked the store representative as to where I can find Ralph Lauren polo shirts, I was told that they do not carry any brand names as people used to walk out wearing them...so, apparently the only Belk that has some brands for sale is at the Avenues Mall. That is the only reason I gave it a 3-star rating...but so unfortunate that nowadays that determines the ability of the store to sell various brands...need better security because the location is awesome.

Love this free standing store. It's quiet and clean and not connected to the chaos of a mall. The employees of the men and women's fragrances counters are friendly and helpful. The women's shoe department needs more staff. One employee to wait on customers, run back and forth for shoes and also ring purchases is atrocious for all involved. I gave up on continuing to attempt to shop for shoes. 40 minutes to get help with shoes and get the correct size was ridiculous. The employee was doing her best, but there was only one of her and a steady stream of customers.

Very disappointed in Belks. I recently made a purchase through their app only to find out I wasn’t purchasing from Belks but rather another vendor through their marketplace. I didn’t even know they had a Marketplace. I need to return the item and so far have two hours put into trying to do such a thing. I can’t find the correct customer number and nobody knows how to direct me. I wish the Belk did not connect to a Marketplace. They are associating their name with other vendors that may have poor quality and standards Lastly beware of where is your buying from

The absolute worst. I understand why they're probably going out of business. I waited 20 minutes at the cologne counter, had to hunt down a sales person, and then refused to sell any cologne because they were incapable of figuring the price. Then when I went to check out to purchase my daughter's shorts she wanted, no registers where open and the one lady behind register needed to call a different person to try to check me out at, no thanks. Literally 4 employees were doing nothing. We won't be back. We found and ordered everything on Amazon.

Nice store but I think the selections at the Orange Park Mall store are better, we just happened to be on the other side of town that day. Still, I was able to find what I was looking for on this visit. The biggest problem I had was that the AC was either broken or just off in half of the store. The fitting rooms on that side of the store were like a sauna. No signs posted apologizing for the conditions. The one associate I saw in the area was too busy rearranging some displays to even acknowledge customers or the AC issue.

The first time I have entered the store. It is a beautiful store with a lot of merchandise. The staff was very friendly, however, the customer service was understaffed. The lady was working at a frantic pace with a line that was 10 deep. I only wanted to change out a gift to a correct size. I ended up keeping the oversized shirt and giving to my daughter as a sleep shirt. I think that management should have come to the rescue of the customer service area. Other than that, the prices were good and store was immaculate.

Caring service. Bought these while out of town, didn't end up in my bag, when I got to where I was staying, I called, and they found them. Said I would stop by on my way back home . Next day, they couldn't find them, the manager was more worried about it than me, said she would send if she found them and apologized profusely. I was totally surprised to find FedEx had dropped these off to me, Lifetime customer here, they always treat me this way. My favorite place to go in Jacksonville, FL when I visit my son.

Love this new location and store layout! Everytime I have been in this store the staff have been friendly and ready to help! I had a gentleman back in Men's in October 2015 of last year who spent a good 20-30 minutes helping me with suiting, sizing and matching it all up with shirts and ties. He was awesome! I did a quick return the other day, the associate was great and looked up my account number so I could get the return price of what I paid originally for my shirt. Doesn't get any better than that!

I expected more. I made an online order and upon arrival at the store I waited 15 minutes at the online pick up Booth and nobody was there. I asked two employees in cosmetics they said you pick it up at the Booth I waited another 10 minutes and then asked them again they told me to go to any register after doing so and waiting without being helped I went back and asked to speak with a manager. She was really nice and gave me 20 % off cologne however it still wasted a good amount of time

Excellent service and prices. Downloading belk's app to get access to the daily coupon saved me quite a bit of money. The only reason I nearly gave this four stars, is there weren't a lot of employees around to answer questions or help out. I had some questions about the sizes of some dress shirts, and since the fitting room is still closed, I could not just try them on. Once I did get help, they were very courteous and knowledgeable. I see myself shopping here more in the future.

Can never leave with just one item. I end up finding more stuff really good and spend more than intended. Store is well organized and never messy, very clean. Staff helped me find my shoe size before, another occasion with helping to find lip stick of requested color. Doesn't matter the department, everyone's super nice here. The one star less is just because I struggle to find my rather smaller size pants, but with so many sizes, just probably not good at finding it myself

I just want to say this Belk on Atlantic Blvd...I love the most the staff and management makes me fall in love with them every time I enter the doors...I love shopping at Belk the deals are awesome...I shop at all of them throughout Jacksonville and Orange Park and have always been treated with nothing but kindness... I say they all hand picked these sweet people and its awesome with everything going on in the world I am happy to spend my money with them...❤

Really helpful service!! Went in saying my girlfriend broke a bottle of her favorite pufume and not knowing the name the rep was more than willing to help me figure it out by asking about other smells and perfumes she liked. She absolutely loved what we picked out it wasn't the right one mind you but apparently it smells really similar just more potent and longer lasting and is her new favorite!!! Great job belk y'all did me proud!!!

Very clean, very full and very well staffed Belk store! The staff are so customer friendly and oriented, they well exceed all expectations to please their customers! So much merchandise to choose from and they can order anything you want in your size, color and style of your choosing if they don't have it and the shipping is free! I did all my Christmas shopping here since the selections were greater than any other department store!

We are were looking for nice dresses. Not casual but something dressy for evening or Mother of the bride type. The few dresses they had were mostly left over clearance items that were damaged for most part and there were no dresses in women's or plus sizes. We even looked for casual plus size and there was not any. Why does this store not carry plus size for one thing, nor have dressy dresses?

This is one of the best Belk standalone in Jax metro area. First visit there today. Everyone was very helpful, sales were great, store was immaculate clean, with nothing on the floor (yes, that makes a difference to me, it shows that management and employees care about your experience). Men's dressing room was very tidy. My wife has been here many times, and we will both be back again.

Bought some Dockers and they started coming apart literally at the seem after 30 days. They would not exchange them and the service to get someone’s attention was horrible. Conversations with their coworkers were more important than addressing my concerns. Never going back to buy anything from that retail store. Academy Sports is next door. I will stick to Nike apparel.

Nice department store. This Belk is a little smaller than the one in the Avenues Mall. Being a smaller store they do not carry as large of a selection and they do not carry all of the large name brands that the other store does such as Tommy Bahama, Guy Harvey, Columbia, etc. Women's clothing takes up about half the store, men's and homewares is the other half.

I like Belk but will probably limit my shipping there after my last visit; I had a birthday coupon for $10.00. At the register, they told me that I would have to use my Belk credit card in order to use the birthday coupon & i would have to sign up for text messages in order to get the store coupon. That's just too much for me. Either give me a coupon or don't.

Getting harder to find things here that we want. They seemd to have great changed their clothing styles here and still cannot get new inventory in. They have a lot of old product in the store, messy dressing rooms and higher prices than normal. Other similar chains seem to have fewer issues getting new inventory in the store so I find it odd that Belks cannot

Customer service was less than horrible. I didn’t even know there was such a thing. Went to purchase some Christmas gifts for family and could not get a rep to assist me. Attempted to go to another department to request help and was redirected to the same young female that was giggling with other teens. Definitely did not have a good experience

There's no customer service at this location the day that I visited. Not only no customer service but not even one employee said a word to. I went from the front of the store all the way to the back where the men's suits are located. I passed many employees going thru leaving and even had employees in suit department not say a word to me.

Loved the deals we purchased! Loved the customer service by Elizabeth, she is a true team player and an asset to her company! She isn't afraid of handling difficult situations and believes in her company but also willing to do what is right and win the support and respect of her customer too! She is a real winner for Belk!

Me and my husband went shopping today and the employees seems very friendly!except the one lady she’s a cashier! She’s wearing navy blue dress. So she ask me if I want to keep the hanger and I said no ma’am.. and right after I said that! she whisper to other cashier and laugh and that’s disrespectful! And un professional!

This was the first time I was ever in this store it's a beautiful store and it's very easy to shop had a very nice time working with Tammy she provided excellent customer service and I should know I have worked in customer service over 40 years including management. I will definitely be going back

I bought this from Belk and i needed to return as i didn’t need this couch anymore and it still in box but Belk informed me there is no return and i have to contact the vendor which isn’t be able to take it as well. Will never buy something else from them. Worst quality and customer service ever

Belk has the absolute best sales. Sometimes you have to dig through the racks a bit, but usually the savings are well worth the extra searching. I like the quality of the merchandise and even though they are short staffed most of the people are pleasant. Shop Belk, you won’t leave empty handed.

This location is very limited in selection and reminds me more of a local store that wants to be a regional dept. store one day. It's a if Belk wanted to put a store here but, not really. If you've been in any other Belk in our area you'll be underwhelmed. Stick with the avenues for selection.

We must have came at the perfect time because the up to 60% off sale was incredible! There was one guy over in the men's department that really shined when explaining the sale. Didn't get a name but he was well dressed and had very short hair. Hopefully he sees this and knows I mean him.

Great deals, friendly staff! Just avoid the cologne/perfume section if that's not what you're there for. They are very convincing, ended up with 3 bottles and I was only looking for some clothes haha. Seriously though, well worth the investment! You can't beat the deals they have.

I placed an order online and within minutes received a notice that it was ready for pick up. Wow! The store associate was very nice and went right in the back to get it. I am really impressed by how organized and quick this process was. Was all bagged up and ready!

I come here for Estee Lauder makeup and there is literally almost never anyone at the counters and I have to go find someone or wave them down to get any help and then they always act like its not their job. They need to be staffed and trained correctly here.

Hi .the staff are excellent professional knowledgeable friendly and they look great and smell . great .the store is impeccable very well organized and the choice of merchandise is the best I have ever seen and the quality of merchandise is on another level!

I really love this store. Would give 5 stars but checking out is a pain. Not enough registers open there is always a line. Really nice merchandise to choose from and terrific sale prices. Dressing rooms open again. Can order online and pickup in store.

I love Belk because when I went with my two girls to find what kind of foundation, there was one person there that was happy to help us and give us some advise for makeup looks. She was very nice. I hope I see her again because now she's like a friend.

Great place for big and tall outfits for cheap. It's strange to see a stand alone store and if you're ready to check out find anyone behind a counter. They will be happy to check out your selection of wares. There is no traditional checkout area here.

The sales are incredible. Good quality clothes. Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. I was able to find the majority of what I was looking for. They also send you coupons and let you know what will be on sale next. Will continue to shop there.

My favorite place to shop in Jacksonville, this location always has great sales going on! I just wish the employees were more attentive and paid attention to the checkout desk. Sometimes I have to wander to multiple check out areas to find someone.

I love this store for my apparel. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They don't pester the customers and are always available to provide excellent customer service. I love that I am able to find clothing that is affordable and stylish.

It's a shame my "go to" store no longer has customer service. Instead, they have a rather nonchalant attitude, you have to find it yourself. Without price tags in ladies shoes, it was quite a challenge. I left as I came in, empty handed …

Great sales, nice people working there. No dressing rooms open due to covid, but that's the new normal I guess. So nice to have a great Southern department store in the suburbs as a stand-alone. No traffic and plenty of parking, easy in & out.

Mens section understocked. Very limited supply and sizing for anyone under 40 inch waist. Over priced shoes ( stacy adams over $100) compared to kohls or burlington (stacy adams $40). Same with Haggar very dissappointing for mens clothes.

Convenient location and large selection for a smaller Belk Store! We came from the beaches because we forgot shorts while we were packing. The employees were very friendly and everything was very easy to find. Parking was very good also.

The item I wanted was not in stock but they ordered it for me which I appreciated. Now, just waiting on future sale dates... for their sales can be truly good and on quality merchandise which is even better. Enjoy shopping at Belk!

Wonderful Christmas gifts reasonably priced. Pajamas sets in assorted colors, all on sale. Couldn't pass up the boots for $22 on sale. Bells have the most colorful items perfect for sharing at any season. I love shopping at Belks.

Very kind and helpful staff. They were very courteous, but the shelves were a little bare. We need to open up the dressing rooms. It's really hard trying on clothes in the truck outside, just to return them when they don't work.

Brand new store...well organized. Amazing selection and great prices. Even without a Belk's credit card there were great deals. Would have been better with the card. Clean store and always an associate is available to help.

I have been a customer with Belk for about 10yrs. I always find clothing that fits my style. The prices are great and affordable, especially during sales and clearance events! I recently went and found some great finds!

Got these pants for less than 7 bucks! If you really browse the store you can find really good deals on name brand stuff and save tons of money!
