I’ve waited several weeks to post this, hoping to give the company time to rectify the issues we had however, that has not been our experience. We purchased a large tv stand/hutch from Bennett’s and initially had a great experience, shipping was fast and the delivery men were professional and courteous. However, upon inspection of the item after delivery we noticed that the stain used was applied very patchy and there was a chip out of the front of the item. I immediately brought this to the attention of our sales associate (including photos) and was told that the Service Manager would be in contact with me at the start of the week. I then received a follow up email from the same sales associate a few days later indicating that her and the manager had looked over the piece in the showroom and that this was just the “antique look” of the piece, I did not receive a phone call. I disagreed, especially in regard to the chipping and was told that I was welcome to return the piece with the incurred additional costs even though it arrived damaged. I declined to incur the additional costs, indicating my shock and disappointment in the transaction and that I would not be a repeat customer going forward. Following this I did receive a phone call from the manager, who left me a voicemail requesting that I call her back, however she has yet to return my several attempts to contact her. In my opinion Bennett’s Kingston did not stand behind their products and failed to meet the basics of customer service. I would not recommend this business to others.

Searching for a new sofa during the Covid-19 pandemic has been very difficult and down right exhausting. We ordered a couch , not once but twice from two different suppliers and both failed on their “promised” delivery date. Yes, promised ~ not estimated. Then we met Gareth ! I called Bennett’s making a phone inquiry about a specific style of couch we wanted and also indicated we needed something quickly. Gareth was amazingly helpful. He listened to my requests and offered to email me photos of floor models he had in stock. None of the three worked (not large enough) so I sent him a screen shot of one I saw on their website. He checked for availability and confirmed if we purchased today they would have it to the Kingston location by Wednesday but he insisted we come and sit on it as recent feedback suggested it was stiff and photos can distort colour. Upon arrival to the store we were greeted right away and Gareth escorted us to the couch of choice. The colour was perfect and the firmness was not an issue for us. We cannot express how happy we are to get our new couch delivered on Thursday! (4 day turn around time from purchase to delivery) Thank you Gareth for your attention to detail and excellent customer service. Edit: updated from 3 to 5 stars based on Bennett's responsiveness after my initial review. We followed up today and selected a replacement couch. The review of the first couch purchase remains the same: buyer beware. Original review: We bought the merino "industrial" sofa model by Maric, in the Kingston store. Do not buy this couch. We tried it in the store and didn't realize there was a nonremovable weird crinkly plastic layer on the cushions, below the fabric. The cushions continue to smell of chemicals after two months and that crinkly plastic is both annoying sound-wise and not comfortable for lounging. The sofa description says nothing about non removable covers let alone a plastic underlayer. The cushions have zippers. Bennetts sent a technician who obviously couldn't do anything because it's just a stupid design. We never heard back after the technician left. The couch needs to be comfortable for all senses. Why even sell something like that? We searched almost a year for a couch and chose Bennetts because of its reputation. Very depressed and frustrated with the result. Buyer beware. Don't buy this couch and pay attention in the store if you notice plastic. It's not just because it's a showroom model.

I visited Bennett’s Furniture and Mattress Store for the first time a little over a month ago and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. A wonderful young sales associate, Jason M., greeted my husband and me and was very helpful, funny, and patient! He gave us the time and space to just browse but was readily available to answer any question we had. I visited the store again, recently, and once again Jason was there and was so very helpful. He listened carefully as I explained what I was looking for and although the piece of furniture that I ended up purchasing was not in the showroom, I was very confident ordering it based on Jason’s excellent assistance. It turned out Jason was not in the store the day my husband and I actually ordered on furniture but the transaction was seamless with another sales associate. Huge furniture store laid out beautifully. We were greeted by Taylor and were directed to the recliner areas. I found a nice one on sale that i liked. Brett the salesman came over to help answer any questions and suggest other options. I liked how Brett was there but not hovering all the time. He was just a nod away. Very friendly & personable. I then found another which suited me better. It took me less 45 mins to find the one! So happy as it was on sale powered and with all in was only few $$ more than the manual chair. Definitely had great experience shopping for first time @ Bennett's furniture! Recommend highly....go see Brett...for awesome customer service My chair was delivered today, July 15th. We went to approx 15 stores looking for a dining set and were very fortunate to find Bennetts in Kingston. As soon as we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and left to roam this huge beautiful store. The selection of every price point of all furniture categories gave us plenty of choices to consider. We found a few that we were interested in and our sales consultant Deborah answered every question we had and also suggested options that were not on the floor. She was very knowledgable and she made us feel totally at ease without feeling pressured. She was also very helpful in helping us with our choice considering the layout and design of our dining room. We will definitely be back to Bennetts Kingston and would highly recommend Deborah. We don't often write reviews but Deborah and Bennetts Kingston definitely deserve a great review and we are super pleased with our purchase and experience.

I made an initial inquiry online and received a response very quickly. Brett was extremely helpful and responded thoroughly to all of my questions. I did some shopping around in town and found that Bennet's was the only store offering to take our old furniture away (for a reasonable fee). I also found that prices were comparable to other local stores, and most of the products are Canadian made, which is important to us. We met Brett in the store and he was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient! We never felt pressured or rushed. The store itself is lovely and spacious with just the right amount of inventory on display. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the doors. Wer walked away happy with our purchase and would highly recommend this business. Well done Bennett's!

After relocating to the Kingston area, we were in need of several new pieces of furniture and visited Bennett's for the first time. Amazing staff who work very hard to accommodate your needs and make it work for your situation. They extended their policy to accommodate travel time back to my home with 48hour extention to see if furniture would fit. They have amazing variety of furniture including Stressless Furniture; to compare with other Brand leather couches and chairs to help make your decision. They made great efforts to answer your questions and made calls to be sure information is factual and correct from manufacturers, even in USA (although they were very knowledgeable on all products). Highly recommend shopping here. Staff make great efforts to be helpful make sure you accommodated.

New furniture store happens to open as I'm in the market for a new sofa so I thought I would check it out. To my surprise the place was pretty big with a good selection of different styles where you can choose custom fabrics. The store manager (I think his name was Liam) actually ended up helping me out as he brought me around the showroom. One nice thing I was surprised about out of all the stores I went too this was the only place that showed me construction of the couch and showed the value what for what I'm paying for. Definitely a nice touch. Would recommend to anyone in the market as the selection and customer service is great!

I would like to thank the staff at Bennett's for going above and beyond to make my mom's new bed safe by providing the proper legs for her bed. The manufacturer does not make these beds with adjustable legs anymore making the bed much too high for my mom who has mobility issues. The delivery team Shane and Adnand went back to the store to get new legs despite a heavy delivery schedule that day. When those didn't work Adam in sales worked on a solution and the store manager Michael came to our house to install the adjustable legs. Customer service at it's best !! Overall a positive experience and great selection of nice furniture. However the salesman that was helping me said that he could give me a bit of a deal but when the time came to pay he retracted. Said that because the items were on sale it was not possible. He knew this at the start. I also know if they want to give you a deal they can. Update to review. Great place with great quality stuff! We ordered a sectional and some dining chairs in December, both orders arrived about a month before they estimated it too which was great for us. We dealt with Brett and the customer service was exceptional from him. Really appreciated his patience and knowledge. He also went to bat for us regarding an issue with a clearance item, and the owner went the extra mile to help us out. Sincerely appreciate it, loving our furniture so far, it's been really really great!

What an amazing experience we had a few months ago when searching for a new couch for our living room. We were greeted by a lovely salesperson named Deborah Serré. From the moment we walked in, she let us know about current deals, guided us around the entire showroom and made excellent recommendations for our purchase. The entire process took about 45 mins and we ended up purchasing a great product that suits our household well. Deborah is efficient, accommodating and very friendly! We will be back!

Brett met me at the door and asked if he could help me find anything. He then listened to my request and patiently showed me possibilities for an easy chair. We then found exactly what I wanted. We had purchased a couch at The Brick just over a year ago and it broke already. We decided to go look into Bennett's for better quality. We expected we'd pay a lot more for this, but were surprised at the affordable prices. I explained to Sasha exactly what I wanted and she was able to make it happen with customized pieces. I was so impressed. And, their furniture comes with great warranties. I also love that they are a small, family owned business. I highly recommend shopping at Bennett's.

We had an excellent experience with Bennett's when buying furniture for our new home. We were extremely impressed by the customer service and hospitality that we were shown by Liam! He was very knowledgeable about each product and was always available to answer questions. Liam helped us to choose the perfect pieces for our living room, which are both extremely comfortable as well as beautiful. We would have been lost without him! Extremely disappointed in the $2000.00 mattress purchased from Bennetts. After two years it sagged and was very uncomfortable. We reported it and they sent a guy out to measure it and said someone would call us but that never happened. This was the second mattress we had as the first one, also in the same price range had to be sent back because the edges had no support and my husband fell out and has permanently injured his hip from the fall. I would never shop at Bennett’s again!

I cannot explain how great the customer service was! Sasha was fabulous! At no point did we feel pressured to buy, unlike the other furniture stores that have staff stalking every move you make!! She helped us narrow down a sofa in our style & price range, and was extremely patient while we sifted thru all the fabric samples (so many choices!). Liam went above and beyond today to assist my 88 1/2 year old mother-in-law purchase a power lift chair. She recently suffered a mishap and needed a chair as soon as possible. And Liam offered to deliver it himself, same day, with help from another staff member. We couldn’t be happier with the excellent level of service Liam provided. He’s a true problem solver. Brett Johnson is the sales person my husband and I dealt with in Kingston and we couldn't have been happier. He is very knowledgeable about the product he sold us and is very helpful selecting fabric. All of the staff that we dealt with at this location were very pleasant and courteous. A very clean and well laid out store. After looking at several other stores in town we decided Bennett's was superior.

After checking out every furniture store in the area for the past few weeks, and not really sure what I wanted to furnish my new rec room, I wandered in to check out this store. No salespeople came running when I walked in which is great. When I did have a few questions they were really helpful. Never pushy. I ended up finding 2 sofas that were perfect for the room and bought them at really good price.

Went just to look at mattresses and no pressure when we entered. We ended up meeting Maxine and she took the time to explain the differences between all of them. She took us also over to look at beds and we ended up getting a discontinued set instead of a more expensive set I liked! Maxine has been a great salesperson!!! I would rate our experience so far a ten. Looking forward to when it all arrives

Note to buyers: if buying a big huge slouchy couch, make sure it fits in the elevator. Ours didn't. We weren't able to get our couch on delivery number 1 because the delivery people didn't attempt to go up the stairs, but we were able to get in touch with them and work things out. We now have a lovely, comfy slouchy couch and we are very happy. Seriously, don't take your couch for granted!

Went here for the first time and wasnt impressed. My husband and I really liked a floor model chair, however, it had a black mark on the side, dirt Mark's on the chair itself, along with a button coming off. I asked what the best price was, and they gave an additional $10 off because it was canadian made. Meanwhile a button was coming off?? Wont be back.

Went in to see what they had and ended up finding so many sectional options! So many modern fabric choices, had a hard time narrowing them down. Fortunately we were able to take a few home to see how they looked in our space/different lighting! Would highly recommend. Ask for Brett, he was kind & patient, but also knowledgeable and helpful.

Purchased a lazy boy chair and was not able to get the back attached properly. This concern was dealt with promptly (next day even though we are 20 miles from store) by friendly, obliging staff, even though chair was a clearance item. Bought couches months and months ago. Called us saying they wouldn't be in until late nov, then they didn't know when they would come in. Friendly staff and they are just at the mercy of their vendors, but still does me no good. Had to get a refund and went elsewhere.
