We went into the store to try and figure out why Best Buy online canceled an iPhone 15 pro upgrade order with Verizon carrier. We arrived at the cellular service counter and a gentleman in a white polo with an android logo assisted us in finding a blue shirt they could assist us with our issue. Joey came around the corner and asked how he could assist us. We started discussing the issue with Joey and immediately Joey stated that it was an issue that needed to be resolved with Verizon because they were only an authorized third-party retailer. We informed Joey that we could do that, but it wasn’t Verizon that cancelled the order. It was a Best Buy that cancelled the order and we wanted to find out what was triggering Best Buy to cancel the order. While trying to explain the issue Joey repeatedly spoke over me as I tried to inform him of what our concern was to the point I had to increase the level of my voice so that I could finish my sentences. When you work in customer service, you have to exercise good customer service skills and good listening skills to determine the customers needs. Joey was trying to be very dismissive and telling us we needed to go to a Verizon store. After he finally listened, he understood that Verizon didn’t cancel our order. In fact, it was Best Buy that canceled our order. He finally searched in his computer and the website and found out that the order was flagged as fraudulent. This proved my statement that it was Best Buy whom we needed to resolve this issue with. After this, Joey finally realized that we needed to call Best Buy to sort this out as this could not be done at the store level. The moral of this incident is that if you work in customer service and you’re trying to understand a persons needs or concerns, then you need to take the time to listen to them without trying to interject your sporadic solutions to a problem which you have not yet fully understood. This goes a long ways, I knew I should have gone to the Best Buy at the forum as the people there have always been extremely attentive and helpful when dealing with my needs or concerns as a customer. I I recommend people save a headache and drive up to the forum location and speak to Chris. He is my go to guy any time that I have needed to deal with cellular services. The only reason I went to the store it’s because we were in the area I know better next time. 2023.09.16

I bought 4 appliances on September 6th and was set up with a date of October 17th to have them delivered. On September 26th we decided to go with a better range and we were told that could be delivered early but that the refrigerator was not in so they would deliver everything on the 19th of October. The day before thw 19th they tell me they can deliver my range but won't deliver the other three from my original order until the fridge was in so they reset that appointment until November 8th. Yesterday, on the 7th they tell me the dishwasher and microwave were in stock but not now so they want to push my delivery back until the day before Thanksgiving. Now they tell me the dishwasher which was in stock previously won't be in stock again until December 8th. Noone in this company or their tech service has any answer to the madness or wish to handle this at all. They just tell us we have to wait until all three items are in stock together and then they will schedule a delivery. Even after admitting it was in stock but they sent it out because another item was missing. I will never do business with them again. Update... It's been 9 months and I still can't get my full refund from their customer service. They just keep bouncing us from one unknowledgable person to the next. Guess it's time to contact the BBB and let someone else handle it.

Poor customer service at this location! I was looking for a particular laptop and saw that it wasn't on the shelf. A Best Buy employee came up to me and my wife and asked if I had any questions. I proceeded to let him know I was looking a particular laptop they had showed online. He then told me..."well the sign says out of stock in store and online". I said on the app it shows limited stock. He said we are out of stock everywhere. He didnt bother to check in the back or help me look or anything. I looked online immediately and found they had one online at the Alamo Ranch location. I even showed him and he says the sign says out of stock very sarcastically. Unfortunately, customer service is lacking at this location. Went to Alamo Ranch location and people were so much nicer and willing to help me look and found the laptop I was looking for.

Giving them 3 start because of my experience with the phone repair. I scheduled an appointment for screen repair and I show up on time. The screen repair guy isn't there... I'm told it won't get fixed until tomorrow PROBABLY and that's if they have the part which it could take an additional 3-4 days longer. The reason why I have an issue with this is because I called earlier that day and asked about my repair and was told it would take 20 minutes to fix. Also, the guy not being there for a scheduled appointment. I use my phone for business not to mention I'm in the area on business I don't have days to waste. Better off finding a dedicated phone repair shop which I did. Got my phone fixed in 2 hours with a better price than I was quoted at best buy.

I tried the mobile checkout and after scanning the 2 items I wanted to purchase, a message came up stating I need to stop by the register so they can scan the barcode. The app wouldn't let me checkout using the mobile checkout. I talked to a Best Buy employee and they said I needed to checkout at the register, they need more staff to help the customers. I came in on a Monday afternoon and there were 3 people running the registers with about 20 people in line waiting. I waited 10 minutes and the line didn't move at all. I left the items I wanted to purchase there and left the store. I just ordered them online from a different Best Buy.

This is a good Best Buy. The selection is what you'd expect and the store is very clean. The staff was more than helpful and actually pretty nice to talk to in general. Only one employee seemed to be doing, well, not much of anything. Keep in mind that I tried buying a phone here but was told that the listed price was for online only so I bought it online while in store. It then took another 45min to actually get me the phone because of their internal process on online orders even though the phone was essentially right in front of me. That weird experience aside, solid store.

This location is the most “central” and is in one of the most retail dense areas of the city. The store itself is organized, the crowd is not the best (lots of shady looking people, and several others that need to practice good hygiene — gross). I was there a few days ago and I felt like I needed to take a shower after I left. It was warm in there and didn’t smell very fresh. I can usually find what I’m looking for, and the employees are always very helpful and friendly. The lines can get a little long at times, but they move quickly. Curbside is a wonderful addition.

RUDE people at the front of the store. I walked up to see if they could look up something for me, since there weren't many associates walking around, & they refused to look up the couple of items I was looking for. They preferred to be talking to each other & be on their phones. Didn't even bother to ask for the SKU, which I already had pulled up for them. In the end, I took my business elsewhere & got what I needed. Worst Buy is usually bottom of the barrel for me & this proved to the others with me why I have called them this for years.

Come to this location if you want to experience an unprofessional atmosphere. The employees congregate at the entrance and do not greet customers as they talk to one another. XANDER (cashier) was unprofessional and engaged in innapropriate nonverbal communication with staff as he was with a customer. A young female cashier even came up to XANDER and said "i'm bored" as there were many customers to be assited. MANAGER (slick short hair, short chubby man, wears glasses) made an innapropriate "inside" joke as a customer needed assistance.

I ordered a cell phone through Samsung online. They had the phone ready for pick-up at T-Mobile inside Best Buy at the North Star location. The fact that Best Buy made it really easy by allowing me to pick up my phone there, instead of having to wait several days to get it in the mail, was very convenient. I showed up at 4:30 pm during the week, and there were no crowds or long waits. Walked right up to their in-store T-Mobile, and they had my phone ready to go! Thank you for making the process so simple and offering this service!

Ordered online. Easy access for pick-up and great install services!! Everything took a total of about 30mins. From walking into the store, speaking with sales person, getting the item from the back, rep wheeled it over to install bay, tech installer did his thing, and shortly after, we're testing the levels and preferred settings!! No complaints whatsoever here! Great job BEST BUY!! A DEFINITE MUST VISIT AGAIN, A DEFINITE WILL RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND PROBABLY MY NEW GO TO LOCATION FOR BEST BUY,..ANYTHING!!

Super busy on day after Black Friday. I pre ordered online and that item pick up went quit well. Employees helpful and fast. Trying to get to other departments and help is a different story. Couldn't get the other item I cam in for. I couldn't buy it online first. Like I did with my other item. I actually had to come in for my other item and ended up not able to get it. Upsetting. Still love Best Buy for many reasons. Like this time, purchasing online and picked up in store was a very good option and it worked well.

I was approached by Jasiah as soon as I opened the door, hoping to get some help in my imaginary desires. Then Jasiah told me: —“Don’t worry sir, all customers come with a project looking for an item in particular and they need to be assisted as soon as they hit the floor. I received more valuable advises than my purchases. This guy is awesome!!

Best buy is great online and in store, quality service, great products. They provide all kinds of services for tech, appliances and even auto installations! Only reason they don't get 5 stars is that they took away the ability to directly call a store... there's no way to get to the store you want to call, if just keeps sending you to the call center no matter what option you choose, so I had go Drive to the actual store to talk to them directly about an appointment I had made online. Very annoying.

Guys that watch the phone section are very rude. They only had 3 cases for my iPhone so I decided I was going to test the new iPhone cases because they are usually close in size and ar e labeled “new iPhone” so it’s hard to determine if it fits ..the guy came at me like a hawk telling me i couldn’t open them then when I asked what else he had he walked off and kept cutting me off and told me to go online I came to the store to get a case and give you business if I wanted to go online I would.

This location is really slipping. The in stock selection is minimal and the store was dirty. I was approached by a clerk who saw me looking at a computer monitor and commented, “I see you looking at that one, it’s $1699.00” which was followed up with him eyeing me from head to toe. I don’t think in all my years of shopping at Best Buy have I ever been “sized” up like that. I won’t even tell you the tens of thousands of dollars I’ve spent over the years. I will NEVER return to this location.

I came to the store to ask one question about what I need to purchase for a technology item. The associate asked me to wait by the squad team and they should help be able to help me. I waited for 40 min and then a person came to tell me I don't have an appointment so he can't help me. I didn't know I need an appointment for that. Why nobody asked me in the beginning? Why can't they just help me in 5 min and make the moment right? Nobody will give me my wasted time back. Ridiculous service.

Best Buy usually offers competitive prices. But their price matching program needs improvement. For instance, I bought 4 ring cameras from BB. A couple of weeks later, BB put them on sale for $40.00 below the normal price. I called to ask for a price match and they said they can only price match one of the four cameras. The bottom line is they only refunded 40 dollars instead of 160.00. Didn't make sense. So if you are buying more than one of the same items, then be aware of this issue.

Best Buy in general I haven't cared for in years past and I still rarely need to buy anything from there but when I do the staff is always competent and friendly at this location which is sadly not the case at many of their other stores. Ethan was very helpful during my last visit on May 21st 2018 and answered my questions about the warranty and knew his stuff. Professional, efficient, and courteous. This is the location I'll go to regardless of how far away I am at the time.

We have had two online orders recently. Both times we got the notification that our order was ready for pickup. No one in line so we figured we should be in and out fairly quick. Not quite. Both times took about an extra 15 min so they can get us our order or find it. The magnolia section and movie theater section is pretty depressing and not organized very well. The Rim is really setup well if you want to see a few really good setups for home movie theater ideas.

Customer service was AWFUL. My husband went in to ask about their Xbox series X availability and a Ruben was sooo rude! Then as he walked out an order man (looked like security maybe, but definitely an employee) followed right behind him! As soon and I saw my husband walking out and the older man right behind I knew something happened. My husband looks very young and I really feel the employee thought he was going to be snarky and rude and my husband not speak up.

I will never, EVER, buy from Best Buy again. Nothing wrong with the people working there, but Best Buy runs a little scam where they charge you twice for the same item, then keep your money for a month before returning it. They've been earning interest on my 541.00. The manager has no control over this, like other places where you'd get an immediate or fast refund. And Best Buy is apparently unable to fix their system. So lame. Can you imagine Amazon doing this?

They have good prices. I run an IT business, and when I need a spare part, I come here. Unfortunately, it’s frustrating for me that if I don’t purchase online, it takes 40 minutes just to get a pair of memory modules from the showcase. An employee named Jerry always responds, ‘Everyone is busy; I’ll send someone else to help you.’ Why? If you’re not busy, why not just open the showcase and give me what I need? It would be more efficient and save me 40 minutes

I have never had such a phenomenal experience with customer service unless, of course, I was providing it myself within my customer service role at my job. These two are knowledgeable and efficient and polite the whole way thru. Do yourself a favor and bring all your electronic concerns to these two. (Do them a favor and throw money at their feet, they are worthy!)

Geek Squad system is terrible. I don't blame the guys that work there, they were all nice enough. I made an appointment to have a battery replacement, tried to call to be sure they had the part but only could speak to a national rep who could only tell me to go to my appointment and they would check from there. It took 90 minutes in the store to determine that they did not have the part and could not order it. I will not waste any more time there.

We told one employee if he can help us & he said he was busy, I saw him walk passed 5 other workers that were just standing and completely didn’t mention that we needed help, we stayed for 30 minutes and the workers would just stare at us while they were just all standing by the door! Was kicked out by LP since they thought I was stealing. I put a a pop filter and microphone in my bag so it would be easier to checkout, and was told to leave as I was heading to the checkout. I had to go to a different store (La Cantera) due to this and couldn’t get the mic since they were out of stock. Before I got kicked out, the dude that was helping me before was extremely nice and was willing to help. Extremely disappointed.

I shop at Best Buy for all of my electronic and appliance needs. I have been a long time customer and plan on being a long time patron for years to come. I like the prices and the selection they carry. I just bought this Samsung smart watch and it was an easy transaction. I also like that the warranties on the products they sell are priced reasonably and they replace the item if it's damaged or broken no questions asked.

One of my favorite stores. That's what I used to think they say price match guarantee well if you thinking of buying more than one they won't price-match you i try getting 2 so don't waste your time. Should of gone straight to walmart $69.99 at best buy walmart $34:99 ibused to think Best Buy prices where unbeatable. Plus customer service is terrible about 80% of them do not care to help you out

Never using Best Buy again, they want to charge me an outrageous restocking fee of $105. Dont believe me? look at this picture. the machine i bought doesnt have the feature its supposed to have. USB slot on projector can only be used for power and not for playing media. Amy Garcia store manager told me if i want a full refund I should've used Amazon. Store manager was 100% correct.

15 day return period and no return if opened product even if untouched. My fault - should have read the fine print, but I will shop elsewhere in the future. Nice folks on return in the store. Certainly no fault on their part. Have shopped at Best Buy since they opened long long ago, but now there are too many other sellers to deal with whose policies are not so wildly restrictive.

We had good service, once we got service. Had to wait about 10+ minutes. Wanted to purchase iPhone and have all contacts etc. from old phone moved over to new one. Javier worked with us and was very patient and explained everything. We looked at 2 phones iPhone 8 and 8 plus. Just didn't want to go to AT&T, our phone provider. It took a while but that was expected but was worth it.

I waited for 20 minutes for assistance to purchase a high dollar item. No one would assist me. I talked to the manager, Thomas, who was working the door. He said that they just don’t have anybody available. At 10:30 am. The one female employee that I asked for help was obviously not excited about helping, no eye contact, just asked for someone on radio and walked away.

This is the second closest location to me so I typically only visit whenever I’m near the area already or when my primary location is out of something I’m looking for. Great visit this afternoon at the Best Buy location. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. I’ve been here several times and each time I’ve gone, its been a great experience. A big reason for that is the store manager. He’s very hands on. He can be seen walking around the store, helping customers as well as cashiers when the lines are long.

Friendly staff and clean store. What more can you ask for from a Best Buy store. They have all the electronics and accessories you’ll ever need in life. I only gave it a 4 star due to a lack of thorough inspection at the store. It’s hard to gauge the wellness of a business if your only in there for 4-5 minutes.

Not as good as used to be in the past. Lack of several miscellaneous goods, which is common in other similar stores and other locations. Price wise speaking it is the same, no special attractiveness. Nice selection and fair prices. If buying appliances my personal advice is to find your own installers. We were not at all happy with the annoyed and harsh attitude of the crew they sent us. We cancelled the install and hired a electrician and a handy man to install the built in items. Glad we did.

Really liked this location. We go to the Best Buy on military drive and it's absolutely terrible. We got to this location at 7pm and the store was pretty empty; there was a surplus of employers wanting to help us out. Highly recommend this location for good service.

Always friendly, generally pretty helpful if you know to sign in at the front for questions. Seems like a long way to go to ask for a spot in line for any questions you may have when after you start shopping but I don't find it overly bothering.
