"Best kept secret of Bethnal Green"
This station is served by London Overground there is no disabled access only stairs to the platforms. There is only 4 ticket barriers to use and the ticket hall area is small. Inside around the stairs needs a good lick of paint on it. Bethnal Green overground station is on a quiet residential road and is a 10min to 15min walk to the central line station.
This train station is terrible. The platform is often overcrowded, making it hard to find a place to stand. The employees are unhelpful and rude. The bathrooms are filthy and always smell bad. The station itself is poorly lit and not very clean. The wait times are often long and the trains often arrive late. Definitely not my train station!
Great little station. Staff are ever so friendly, polite and helpful. They are quite up to date with the train times and they have great little quotes displayed on the whiteboard every day, which motivate passengers and clients. It is a very clean station most of the time, a pleasure to commute to/from work.
Just a really meh station that, despite it's name, isn't located near the tube station of the same name at all. No step free access here either and the platforms can get quite narrow in places. Seating and shelter is barely adequate but at least trains can be quite frequent at times.
Best kept secret of Bethnal Green. Sometimes erratic trains but when working 15 minute journey home. Now that’s what I call commuting. Morning staff always engaged and friendly tho evening shifts don’t always engage with the punters. Communication when trains delayed is often poor.
I love this station as I thought it was a Sainsbury’s Local then boom it’s a station. Love the design as if to try and keep its self hidden from everyone, like a train station in Harry Potter. Amazing. Bethnal Green area is also quite close to the station which is a nice touch.
Good little station however half the time it is closed causing a lot of inconvenience for passengers hence my 4 star rating. On the plus side though the staff are amazing at dealing with any help needed!
Bit of an odd location but great for Trainspotting and great frequency of trains to Liverpool St & Cheshunt, Chingford, Enfield Town via Hackney Downs
Very easy to get confused between Bethnal green on the overground and the underground which are quite far away from each other!
It's been 20 years, compared to Brixton, dalston kingsland, Peckham etc development is on a average level.
I am upset about this station because some train for Chinford they are not stopping here. Whay
My advice would be get off at Cambridge Heath for the underground its easier
Very nice area of London, lots of green spaces and very close to the city.
Staff are always very friendly and cheerful
Friendly staffs, clean and tidy station!
No lifts, you have to use the stairs.
Great neighbourhood to live.
