Well we had high hopes as the there seem to be some good reviews. Decor was nice, staff fairly attentive and menu looked fairly well priced. But…. We ordered sour dough with dukkah. Sorry but no dukkah, nasty olive oil, a spoonful of margarine?? and not very nice bread. Mussel’s, a dozen mussels, bland sc and same bland sough dough bread. Pork belly, three very small pieces of pork, bland sc, mash potato? and garnish. All three dishes very bland and overpriced and presentation average. Mains… Over cooked chicken breast(dry) in a seeded mustard cream sauce with mash. At least there was enough sauce. Beef short rib, (1), mash and no sauce? Nice portion size. Cooked well and nice favours but dry because of no moisture/sauce. The worst dish of the night was the beetroot gnocchi. Hockey pucks with overcooked and dehydrated peas!!! There was supposed to a burnt butter sauce but this was non existent. This is a some what a nice little restaurant that has been let down by it’s chef. We won’t be returning.

Have just enjoyed the best meal out all year. Fabulous food - the steak was cooked to perfection - and the rhubarb crumble was to die for - great service which was always attentive and with a smile. My Eddystone Point Sauvignon Blanc was superb, and the ambience in the restaurant was welcoming, stylish and relaxed. Others in my group raved about the chicken dish and the lamb shanks. Overall I could not fault. Accolades to the chef and all staff concerned. I can thoroughly recommend and will return to try something different from the menu when next in Hobart.

It was not the cosy restaurant I expected, rather a modern place attached to a conference centre. Most dinners were good quality but unfortunately my rib-eye was not the best (bad cut). I guess it was also not my lucky night as I asked for a glass of Shiraz and was told I could only have the Pinot. Overhearing the table next to us they were able to order Shiraz by the glass??? It must not have been my lucky knight. Overall the restaurant was good quality and staff very friendly.

No atmosphere at all, we should have realised when we were the only couple in the restaurant, choice of music play list very questionable "Kelis - Milkshake" whilst trying to eat my murdered scotch fillet that seemed like chuck steak that hadn't been rested at all and tenderised with Thor's Hammer. Should I have sent the steak back and requested the music to be changed ?absolutely, but at this point my wife and I were ready to go. BTW the entree pork buns were OK.

Lovely intimate restaurant hidden just round the corner from the main Salamanca strip. Service was excellent, staff easily helped with dietary things like gluten free. Amazing calamari entree, the flavour and spice was stunning.

One's highly unlikely to find better value for money parmie in Salamanca. Pint of beer is great value as well. Perhaps targetting an older crowd, one should not leave it out of consideration for this fact alone.

We ordered an eye fillet, a pan fry chicken, a garlic pizza and chowder. The eye fillet is amazing! The steak is fresh and juicy. The pizza is also a very good dish for my kids, they love it! This is a small restuarant but with delicious food and good vibe. I'll definitely come back!

This was some time ago, but I particularly enjoyed the crispy skin salmon — cooked perfectly, flavourful and was a well-balanced dish. Friendly service and fine decor to complement this.

Absolutely beautiful food, and fantastic customer service from Jack! Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, thank you so much, am really appreciative of such excellent service, and such attention to detail.

  • Nicholas Coughlin

Great decor, attentive service (after a short delay post ordering). Food was a very eye-opening fusion, with well thought out flavours. Not for people wanting a traditional, standard meal.

  • Marcus Twining

Fine dining with superbly ambient atmosphere and reasonably priced menu of quality dishes, not to mention the friendly service. Highly recommended …
