An meinem letzten Abend in Luxemburg wollte ich was typisches Luxemburgisches essen und hatte mehrere Restaurants zur Auswahl... Und habe mich dann für das und habe mich dann für das Bistro Presse entschieden.. an dem Tag war das Wetter nicht ganz so gut aber ich wollte unbedingt draußen sitzen. Für 19 Uhr reserviert war eigentlich überhaupt nichts los leider und schade... Aber der junge Mann der dort arbeitete war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend auch wenn ich am Anfang noch nicht so wusste was ich wollte. So habe ich erstmal ein Bierchen genommen und mich dann als Starter für die drei Kroketten mit verschiedenen Füllungen entschieden... Und das war schon sehr sehr geschmackvoll... Vor allem gefüllt mit oktopus gefärbten Shrimps.. Als Hauptspeise gab es Lamm Cordon bleu mit lecker Pilzsoße und Pommes .dazu einen Salat.. das Cordon bleu war schon sehr zart und sehr gut zu essen. Mit der würzigen Pilzsoße dazu ein Gedicht. Nach dem zweiten Bier gab es noch einen Absacker ,einen luxemburgischen honigschnaps. Insgesamt war es ein sehr leckeres Essen ,aber wie überall in Luxemburg schon sehr teuer aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall....

Was thoroughly impressed by this place, had an absolutely lovely experience and will certainly try and come back. Located directly opposite the Grand Ducal Palace we chose to sit outside for a late lunch at about 2:30pm. The gentleman inside was very friendly and explained to us the days specials. The view was lovely, being right opposite the palace we could admire the pretty architecture and watch the guard march up and down. Being there for a while we could also witness the short changing of the guard ceremony. Prices are fair for Luxembourg and they take credit card and accept American Express. The food was brought out promptly and was absolutely delicious. I thoroughly recommend the Veal which was cooked to perfection and the fries were amazing too. Chose to have the “Cafe de Paris” sauce which was absolutely delicious and the waiter even brought more over for us to enjoy. All in all the food, staff, location and prices were fantastic and in my opinion definitely worth a nice lunch on a day of exploring Luxembourg!

Los precios no son económicos, aunque están en la media de lo que hay por la zona. Lo que no es aceptable es la antipatía de la señora que atiende el restaurante. Se dirigió a nosotros en francés, algo lógico. Le dijimos que lo sentíamos, pero que no entendíamos este idioma y que si, por favor, podía hablarnos en inglés o que si hablaba en español. La señora nos espetó en un tono bastante poco amable que si nosotros hablábamos servo-croata. Supongo que ella es de ese país. Me parece perfecto que hable francés y servo-croata y, desde luego, no tiene ninguna obligación de dominar otras lenguas como el inglés, ni mucho menos el español, pero conviene tratar bien a los comensales independientemente de la nacionalidad que sean o la lengua que hablen.

Ordering and food delivery took way too long. Further the menu on the website is not up to date. I had a salmon salad which was not dressed traditionally with capres as it was announced in the menu, but i was a summer edition with mangos and a sweet dressing ( which service failed to tell me). Further the dressing was pre mixed and unfortunately it was way to much dressing so that at the end the whole salad was left with too much of a sweet taste. The toasts looked a bit like standard harrys toast, they served were served cold and not fully toasted such... Too round up we didn't take a coffe nor a dessert since the overall stay took already way too long...

Since we came from a classical music matinée, the 5 of us (the artist included), at that time the only guests except for an elderly couple, politely asked to be spared the terribly bad and noisy rock music indoors, and, while the staff was willing, the boss refused. He was unpolite and unfriendly and turned the request into a fight about whose power the decision was. So, visiting from Germany, we tried our best to communicate under deliberately difficult circumstances. Two guests are suffering from a headache now. Highly unprofessional. Place not recommended. Das urige Lokal direkt gegenüber dem Residenzpalast des Großherzogs lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Wände sind voll mit Bildern behangen und über der Theke hängen jede Menge Harlekin- und Hexenpuppen. Die altmodische Einrichtung und die leichte Unordnung machen den Charme des Lokals aus. Dementsprechend ist die Bedienung trocken freundlich ohne Schickimicki. Wir haben aufgrund der frühen Zeit nur Getränke zu uns genommen. Es war klar, dass mein Mann als Biertrinker das luxemburgische Bofferding frisch gezapft dort zu sich genommen hatte. Seiner Meinung nach, ist es sehr lecker. Wenn man also in Luxemburg ist und sich schon vor dem Palast aufhält, sollte man auf jeden Fall ins Bistrot de la Presse gehen.

This is the most amazing place to eat in luxembourg. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. You're eating directly in front of the Duke's palace, in the heart of Luxembourg city. They serve the most decadent traditional dishes from Luxembourg. Caroline and Valdrim were an absolute joy to hang out with during our stay. This is the only place I had to go to twice during my time in Europe! Don't hesitate, just go!

The food was... decent. Nothing spectacular out of the 5 dishes we ordered. And it was expensive, though that seems expected for Luxembourg in general. But most importantly, don't fall for the water scam! If you ask for water, even tap water like we specifically requested, they will bring you pre-opened, small bottles at €4 each, without warning you of the price until you get the bill. That was a huge unexpected extra cost, and I felt the waiter was intentionally misleading - especially because, as I mentioned, we repeated "tap water" multiple times and he confirmed.

The place to go if you are walking around the city centre and you fancy trying traditional food from Luxembourg. Food takes a bit to come but it's worth the wait. Make sure you have a strong appetite, portions won't disappoint you! We went for Wäinzoossiss and Kniddelen mat Speck. Absolutely delicious! Servers are really welcoming and friendly. A must-go in Luxembourg City

Je suis allée manger dans ce petit restaurant le soir du samedi 25 juin. Ce fut une expérience des plus agréables. Le serveur, Mich, est très gentil et convivial. Il connaît très bien ses plats, et ses alcools. Il a su bien me conseiller pour le choix de mon repas. Les quenelles au lardons sont excellentes! Une superbe découverte des plats typiquement Luxembourgeois. L'ambiance un peu vieillot et chaleureuse, est également superbe, j'ai adoré. Je recommande fortement ce restaurant!

Výborná restaurace. Rozhodli jsme se zde ochutnat tradiční lucemburské speciality a udělali jsme dobře. Jídlo výborné, obsluha velmi přátelská a milá. Pokud půjdete kolem, neváhejte se zastavit. Judd mat Gaardebounen v podání zdejší kuchyně je opravdu unikátní. Dále jsme měli šunku se salatem a hranolkami, taktéž vynikající záležitost a v neposlední řadě talíř plný sýrů a šunek - skvělé. Doporučuji!!!

It’s an awesome restaurant in the very heart of the Luxembourg City. Both traditional Luxembourgish dishes and burgers / pizza are offered and are extremely tasty. The restaurant isn’t cheap (one dish ~ €25); however, it’s definitely worth it.

Bar bistrot che si trova esattamente di fronte il palazzo del Granduca e la Camera dei Deputati. A volte entrando qui, si ha l'impressione di essere in un bar di paese. Se avete voglia di assaggiare un piatto tipico lussemburghese qui ne avrete la possibilità. Un posto atipico, sicuramente con un potenziale enorme dove però sembra che il tempo si sia fermato. Non si può pagare con carta, solo cash. Merita una visita perché comunque è unico nel suo genere.

The restaurant vibe is great I love it, the waiter was very friendly and nice. I can’t even start to describe the good it was great my cousin and I ordered the dumplings with bacon and gravy sauce and also the sausage with mustard sauce and mashed potatoes it was delicious 10/10 for sure and the beer is also great :) saludos a mi gente de Tijuana

I like this bistro. The food is very good and the location is excellent. Moreover, there are photos with the family of the Duke of Luxembourg on the wall, which is really special. The waiters are kind and helpful. Can't wait to visit you again!

Le bistrot est situé dans une rue piétonne en face du palais Grand-Ducal. Nous avons attendu plus d’une demi-heure pour une part de quiche lorraine accompagnée de frites & salade (13,5€), le café était imbuvable (2,6€), le service assez moyen, un peu décevant donc...

Très bon manger, le service aussi top, absolument à recommander à tout le monde qui adore le bon manger dans une atmosphère agréable et super cozy

Definitely a local experience, it’s basically a typical luxembourgish bistro. Very affordable beers and wine, and also local dishes like the green beans soup (delicious)! The waitresses was very nice and make us feel very welcome.
