Had driven past quite a few times and finally decided to stop in for lunch with my partner. Up front, the staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming, so no issues there. I had a grain fed beef burger, which comes with chips and my partner had the cheese tart. The latter, whilst flavoursome, was lukewarm and unfortunately soggy due to the tomato salad over the top. Sadly, the beef burger, whilst looking appetising was quite average, for the $26 price tag. Admittedly, it was well presented and the beef patty very generously portioned. Upon eating, the beef patty oozed a lot of juice/liquid and was a tad undercooked and didn't appear to have spiced at all. The chips were not even lukewarm, but already cold when the plate arrived. I'm not one to generally complain, and unless the food is absolutely inedible will always finish my plate, which I did. The waitress, again, very polite and I have no concerns here, asked how our meals were. We expressed our overall dissatisfaction and were politely asked why we didn't mention this at the time, so it could have been addressed then - see my earlier comment as to why. She did apologise and indicated that this would be taken up with the chefs. We were offered two complimentary créme brulée, which I thanked her for but also politely declined.

The atmosphere and service were great but the food was quite terrible. We hard blue swimmer crab and duck three ways for entree. The crab dish is probably the best dish in this meal. Then we had roasted john dory and beef eye fillet. The texture of the john dory was a bit mushy, it would be great if there is a crunchy element on the dish. For the beef eye fillet, I guess because the fillet is very thick, it was undercooked, the steak was also under seasoned and the knife that was given was not sharp to cut the meat especially when it was mostly raw. The mushroom polenta that came with the steak was tasty but the parmesan crisp was so bitter that it completely threw the dish out of balance. For the desserts, we chose peanut butter parfait and ile flottante (floating island with praline biscuit). The peanut butter parfait was supposed to come with brownie and salted caramel icecream, but there was no brownie nor ice cream on the dish. Instead, it came with a sauce on the dish which I guess it should be a salted caramel sauce, but it was ridiculously bitter that I can't really work out what the flavour is. The ile flottante was very airy and sweet, I have never had any like this so it was interesting but I wouldn't order it again because it is just too sweet with no flavour other than vanilla. Overall the meal was quite unpleasant. We left feeling sick with bitter flavours in our mouths.
This used to be a real 'cut above' cafe but, the last two times we've been, it's been a let down. Service... everyone is very friendly but it seemed like there were a lot of people on for the amount of tables....no one checked back after we got out food, which was disappointing as it was quite average. My poached eggs were tiny and overcooked, spinach was gritty in places, my partner got the omelette which was undercooked (and no, not in the French way...it was runny) and the advertised tomato sauce was inside it and on the side, something that he didn't really love but, yes, out West on the menu and he didn't realise. My point is that for $70 for two breakfasts and two coffees, my expectation vs experience weren't met and this is about the third time in a row now. Previously I've given feedback directly to staff which is always taken well and politely but, with so many other cafes around, I don't think we'll be back again, sadly....

This is a nice little French styled Bistro, friendly staff, clean atmosphere and a nice outdoor area. I was there for breakfast. They have some nice French style options. I went for the crepes with jam. Nice crepes not the lightest, nice jam nothing special. The coffee was good. Nearly $50 for two of us- on the pricey side. It is styled as a bistro not a cafe, it does look like it would do evenings pretty well. But Breakfast was a bit lacklustre. I would go back to try the night time menu, but wouldn’t go out of my way for breakfast again. What did you think.

This is indeed a French-inspired, bistro style Cafe and restaurant with a limited but pleasant menu. The choices, despite their number, are rich and filling. The grandest surprise was the cheese tart, which was extremely delicious. The breads that you can start the meal with are also exquisite with the right butter. The trout had to be looked for inside the greenery that was hiding it, making it a pleasant surprise. There are some good wines as well, but they ran out of the French cider unfortunately. The complimentary crêmes brulées were delicious. Definitely a solid recommendation though for a pleasant meal and brunch/lunch period.

Great to fit larger group in on sunday last min. Nice atmosphere, came here for French toast, not realising it was more traditional French Cafe establishment (dried fruits in bread soaked in a custard). Food was out fast and apart from the French toast no as expected the food was really nice. Juices and smoothies could have been alot colder. I had a cake and no offer to get knife or serviettes/small plates. Waiters were taking plates as quick as it was seemed to be finished with.

Fantastic place to gather for a nice relaxing long lunch. Caters for big groups & kid friendly with a little play area for kids to play in. The owner is very friendly too! The food was very tasty (had the fish pie) which was outstanding. Only thing was it contained prawns in the pie (which wasn’t mentioned in the menu) & a person on the table who ordered it had to replace it with another dish, please make sure you mention that in the menu for next time. Having said that the staff were prompt to replace the order. Also agree, the coffee was great as well. Might give this place a go for brunch next time. Keep up the good work
Very clean café so that's why it was picked, excellent location from erko station for a short walk. Table and chairs outside overlooking the park was fantastic. Vibe on a Friday morning was nice and chilled. Meal was excellent with the presentation - see pic. Staff were very good....... Only thing was the chai latte was 2/10 - shame. They need to visit some places to improve on that.

Came for breakfast. Sevice n Coffee were nice, food was ok, not up to the hype. We ordered almond croissants and French crepes. The croissant was not french style, but was good priced at $5. Crepes was plain, small portion for the price. Presentation could be better, there was no glaze, no icing sugar... no fresh fruits, no orange candy...(menu didn't mention fruit anyway) Overall good place for coffee ☕️ in the area, breakfast may need reconsider.

The best ham sandwich I've ever had. Flawless and exactly what you'd expect from a perfected ham sandwich - ham not too salty, bread perfectly toasted and buttered, egg on top perfectly cooked, tomato sauce not sour. But still just a $25 ham sandwich. Very cheeky to charge almost the same for a ham sandwich as a beef burger with fries ($26).

Our first and definitely last time at this place. Extremely limited lunch menu, so one would expect perfection. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Far from it. Ordered burger and chips for $26, mind you. Chips were cold. Once bitten into the burger itself, it leaked a huge liquid puddle into the plate, which was quite unusual. So, I've tried the meat patty on its own, and realised that it wasn't fresh. Wow!!! So disappointing, so let down Goodbye Bitton... You'll never see us again.

Staff were really attentive despite it being really busy. Menu is very French so don’t expect variety but expect quality. Scrambled eggs with sourdough were really tasty and portions are generous. Coffee was good as well. Avoid sitting in the back garden, especially on weekends or Mother’s Day since there’s a kids’ play area there which gets pretty busy and noisy. The crepes were amazing btw so highly recommend them!

Enjoyed lunch here for the first time yesterday. I have been using their products with baking and cooking at home and loved them so I thought I'd go for lunch at the Alexandria branch. The special of the day bouillabaisse was good and so was the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The more I ate, the more I liked the Mac and cheese. The bread and butter pudding was good and so was the chocolate tart. But it was their signature creme brulee that blew my mind. It was silky as Chantilly lace and smooth as porcelain. What a delightful way to finish lunch.
You get what you pay for. =) Not a cheap place to come to but if you're looking for some tasty food in the area but nothing too out there then you won't be disappointed here. Their flavours can be intense but they use in house sauces which can also be bought separately. Chilli masala is a fav of mine.. Just saying. Coffee is decent though not outstanding. After your meal you get a lil creme Brulee which is deeeelightful! The fact that this place is still here what.... 10 years later is a testament to its consistency and taste =)
The food was good but the portions were really tiny according to my taste. The coffee tasted very good, I can say it's one if the best in the area. The service was top notch, I can say they have been very attentive. The atmosphere, is very pleasant especially outside. If you get to sit outside, you're overlooking a park right across the street and the street is full of trees with autumn leaves which gives a very nice atmosphere. It is also dog friendly as you'll soon realize with all the dogs around you.
A bit of an icon in the area, Bitton has its ups and downs. Some good French classic styles, a great aspect over the oval, but it’s on the dear side and whole most times the coffees are great, not the day I was there last. Still, the staff are impeccable and the menu has a good choice. Go for name, enjoy the outside view and stay for the chitchat

Update: took just two weeks to revisit; the photos tell the story... delicious. Met up with our daughter before heading to the airport and she recommended Bitton. We found the staff exceptionally helpful and delightful. They made the experience such a highlight of our day. We enjoyed the Bitton Croque Monsieur and Breakfast Summer Plates. Really quite delicious and a little out of the ordinary. Had to have a vanilla slice and an extra coffee just to complete the meal. Yum.
Had a good meal here on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The food quality was good but the service was lacking. Felt like a bit of an inconvenience before it got busier in the evening. We also watched a young couple next to us get served their dessert before their main (which they didn't want) which was just odd. More staff training required.

Davide and team - thank you for your exceptional service. Those french martini's were a hit as always! Pretty perplexed about the 4.6 rating on Google with the average food and service we just experienced. The $28 fish cakes I tried for lunch was supposed to be their most popular dish - ok but severely overpriced. My friends ordered what turned out to be a very dry beef pie, a pear custard slice and a bland burger. Even the fries tasted like cardboard. ❌Not worth it and will not be back again.

This is one of my favourite French restaurants located in the suburbs where parking is easy. The staff here are extremely friendly, including Mr Bitton who is a great host. Out of all the dishes we ordered, my favourite was the scallops served on top of blood sausage (Boudin Noir), and the slow cooked lamb shoulder. Overall, great food and great service, and there is a kids corner filled with toys that kept my kids occupied.
Always easy to get reservations, good choice of outdoor and indoor seating. Food is delicious, probably due to the small but focused menus that highlights a blend of French classics and bistro faire. Highly recommend Bitton, you can’t go wrong.

We were a party of 4 for lunch on a busy Friday. We were seated out in the courtyard which gave us a quieter place to catch up. The service was attentive & friendly. The menu is not extensive but what was offered was very satisfying especially the goats cheese tart. The pinot noir was not the best choice of wine. This cafe deserves its patronage & I'm sure we will return here in future.
I sat outside and it is a busy road, not much to be done about that. However the table settings were high class and the service silver all the way. Very tasty French food. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent meal the other night. My wife in particular could have done with a menu with larger type. More typically French entrees such as French Onion Soup would be appreciated. Both the steak, especially the sauce, and the bread and butter pudding were excellent. Peter

This is one of the best cafés in Erko and among the best French eateries in Sydney. It's also among the most child-friendly places in town. It has a playroom which would be of interest to children of all ages. On the weekend it is very busy and it is recommended that you make a reservation. The only downside is that the prices are a bit high.
Really nice place for brunch. Lovely selection of favourites, with a Bitton twist! Good coffee and yummy cakes!! Friendly staff and very relaxed atmosphere. We were also offered a complimentary crème brûlée each, which was very sweet of them. Reasonably priced and plenty of parking on main road.

Interesting menu, different from your standard cafe menu. We ordered the three cheese omelette and kids french crepes (which was amazing). Sun drenched kids terrace out at the back has toys and books, very family friendly! Only problem I can see might be parking, there is off street parking but might get busy on weekends.
