I've only walked past this cafe, so I decided to try it out today. Black Fox Coffee is one of the cafes that has both a variety of drink options and pastries. They also offer salad bowls, toast, and sandwiches, which the staff bring them to your seat with the number! I love how they recognize the customer once entry and the emotional connection they build with each one of the customers. I believe I had the most delicious decaf latte in New York so far, and their Farro bowl tasted so good. The cafe's atmosphere is the best in Fidi, in my opinion, with different seating options and the spacing of the tables. However, the cafe doesn't have Wi-Fi, so if you're coming with your laptop, then probably use your data or offline setting!^^

Must visit coffee shop. The service is exactly what I have come to expect in NYC - friendly, polite, informative, but not sugary. On recommendation, I tried the Round Hill Guatemala espresso (americano, hot)- it did not disappoint. Pairs beautifully with summer fruit - I had the recommended blueberry muffin. The coffee had the brightness expected of a Latin American coffee, fruit/berry notes, and subtle cocoa hints with a refreshing finish. Clean, crisp, and perfect for a NYC humid summer day. The blueberry muffin sits between a classic muffin and cake with a moist crumb. The balanced sweetness highlights the blueberries and brings out the fruitiness of the espresso.

Upscale Coffee Place ! The line can be extra long and it takes time to get your order. However baristas really care about your coffee and this place always spotlight different beans from various locations ( South or Central America). Really superior coffee and lattes, iced or hot drinks are always a hit. As the location has great vibes, it can be challenging if you need sitting for 4 as folks lounge around. You can take your coffee to go but as it is a popular spot, this can take 15+ minutes all in as you wait to place your order and then again at the counter. Definitely recommend it if you are not in a hurry also offer light food options which look compelling but slightly expensive

New York City had been my home for many years. Black Fox also have been my top recommendation for nearly just as long. Revisiting the city again, it's so comforting to know they are still brewing fantastic coffee with delicious food. And the staff are still highly skilled and offering great hospitality after all these years of busy hours and morning rushes. In the shop, you'll also find fresh retail coffee from Coffee Collective, Square Miles as well as their own label. I may not envy the high roller lifestyle of wall street, but I envy the fact they have Black Fox.

First and foremost, the coffee is always great! Staff is genuinely kind and consistently smiling and having a good time. Good to be at a place where the team looks like they enjoy working w/ one another. Ambiance is different than many othet places, but in a good way. Spacious. Urban. But interestingly cozy. I have to say, though, I go here often as much to hear the playlist as to drink the coffee! Always good music. Not overbearing or super depressing like so many other coffee places around the city.

I dig hipster coffee shops. This coffee shop in the Wall Street area checks all the boxes. Really cool vibe and great ambience. Both milk and filter/drip drinks are great! They have a nice collection of beans from coffee collective from Denmark which was interesting to see. My wife and I had the drip coffee, oat flat white and their avocado toast!

I bought two americano coffee on 05/29/23 , I’m seriously, one cup was full and another one is about 1 inch less, I don’t understand the barista person, what do you think about when you doing this service ‍♂️‍♂️when you order coffee and pay, it asks tips, and I added tips, but the bad side of it you never know if they deserve tips or not ‍♂️‍♂️ and the coffee was really bad, I’m honest, me and my wife walked few blocks , and we threw it to garbage, and we bought another coffee !!!

A very clinical Wall Street vibe to this place. Nothing special, in and out with as minimal fuss as possible. If this is your daily caffeine shop then it probably serves the purpose, if you’re looking for more of a third wave cafe that delivers speciality coffee then you’ll need to go elsewhere. Coffee - 7.6: a mellow cup, put another shot in there we might just have something respectable. Little flavour but the milk work is of a good quality.

Great matcha latte and regular lattes/coffees. We also got an avocado toast and the loxs scramble which were both delicious. The portion size was perfect too. Service was friendly too. They open at 8am on Sundays and it was already busy when we got there a few minutes after 8.

3 people’s whose stay behind me get already the order but I was staying like three on the field util I made noticed the person. Probably because I has construction clothe and in this case you can be ignored. So please when you go there, wear nice suite and tie to get you coffee on time. Latte was much diluted with milk .

One of the best coffee shops in the FiDi with great breakfast and pastries. The staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend the hot chocolate or mocha. My go-to place for coffee in FiDi. A bit hidden on Pine Street so you avoid tourists as much as you can in the city. During the week, patrons are comprised mostly of the people who work in the Wall Street area and, on the weekends, residents as well as visitors to the area.

  • Mandy Naglich

love this place! Great for a quick coffee or tea but equally nice to hang out with some breakfast sammies…the lunch gets little pricey on the food side. Everyone is super nice on staff and I like that they will come find you if youre getting your coffee to stay, you don’t have to wait and listen for your name. Great little spot definitely recommend!

Very cool vibe in the financial district. You know it’s bougie wherever they have copies of the New Yorker available to while you drink your coffee. The coffee itself was delicious. They clearly invest in pretty good beans. Service was lightning fast. I’d go back for the people watching alone - it’s a cool mix of Wall Street types and others.

I’m a coffee snob! This place was GREAT! The line was long but moved fast. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The space is small but there are plenty of seats to sit at. The Han and cheese croissant was tasty too. Close to the hotel, so I will go back!

Love! Love! Love this coffee shop! The coffee is amazing. It’s so good. I haven’t had a cup like it anywhere else. The staff is always friendly. And the pastry selection is solid. I usually go to the location on Wall Street because it’s super convenient. 10/10 would recommend.

I love their ham and cheese croissant, the croissant is buttery and flakey, the ham and cheese are sublime. The blueberry muffin? Fluffy, moist, tasty and filled with the most juicy blueberries I’ve seen. Yes, the coffee is also excellent but it’s the food that sets Black Fox apart. Allow enough time when you visit to savor what they have. Delicious!

  • Sam Grone

The staff is lovely and the food is good. The customers are unfortunately all tourists who don’t know how to order and ask lots of questions and take too long and leave chairs everywhere. Wish the space was redesigned to make it easier to navigate, and that staff could do something about the line.

Excellent single-origin espresso, kudos to the baristas for pulling shots just right. There was three different espressos on the menu, at $4.00, worth every penny and more. The latte was likely to most expensive we have ever had, we learned this was because a shot of sweetener costs an additional $1.50.

Consistency is the key. Doesn't matter who is at the machine, the same drink comes out every time. Coffee beans for purchase on the back wall. Food is good as well but pricy like everything else nowadays.

A little too busy for me. But if you like a bit of hustle and bustle to your coffee shop this is the spot. Hard to find seats but maybe you're just grabbing to go. I had a matcha which was good , also has a bathroom so yay lol . I can't speak on the food but it looked good, just busy.

Black Fox is my go-to place for coffee in the neighbourhood. Love their great quality coffee and ever so polite service even in the middle of the FiDi morning rush. It’s a lot quieter at weekends, I love to grab a seat on a Sunday afternoon with a good book.

Cute little cafe that has a variety of breakfast options from avo toast to pancakes. There are many seating options, some of which have outlets for you to charge. They only request that if you’ll be working on your laptop to sit at a single seat.

Great coffee, I didn’t have any food but it looked fresh and delicious. Fast service, I went on a Saturday morning and there was no line. The vibe is chill, the location is ok, not great views but the people watching on the outside bench is fun.

  • Yildiz Yildirim

I went to this place a few times bc I like the coffee and the atmosphere; however, 2 of those times that I ordered hot latte they were luke warm to almost cold for some reason. So they were not enjoyable to drink. I didn't have any problems
