"Said on the phone it would be 15"
"These guys fitted my bike in quickly for a bit of last minute work"
"On their website and phone call (one day before) they mentioned that the bike hire costs £20/24h"
"Fantastic shop!! The owner Olly was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable"
"I Never come back there, I asked to them to change just the back tyre"
Said on the phone it would be 15.00 to change inner tube. Left bike there but also asked them to change front and rear pads....Ive pricewd it up and the pads and inner tube replacement should be no more than 25-30 quid. I picked the bike up and they charged me 60.00...complete rip-off.
These guys fitted my bike in quickly for a bit of last minute work. Staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (especially Nathan). Really reasonable prices. Will definitely be visiting again when I need anything else doing and I would definitely recommend to anyone.
On their website and phone call (one day before) they mentioned that the bike hire costs £20/24h. At the shop they asked for £25. Their bikes were almost new so £5 extra would have been fine. But the strange attitude that they can do whatever at their shop was very disappointing!
Fantastic shop!! The owner Olly was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions with true professionalism. We choose a bike together to suit my needs and I couldn’t be happier! The shop, bike and staff are absolutely faultless. Couldn’t recommend more
I Never come back there, I asked to them to change just the back tyre. It's a second hand bike I wouldn't change other parts, them changed and charge me 90 puond for something than I never asked. Was the first and the last time than I left the bike there.
Came into Blackboy Hill Cycles after getting a puncture. Lovely bloke called Olly fixed it for me and fitted a new inner tube. Ever so chuffed with the service. Olly was great, ended up going to the pub with him. Fantastic service from a fantastic guy.
took bike in today after buying new peddles and then realising i could not get old peddles of, Special tools required , this was done for free and bike checked over new tyres break blocks feels like a new bike!! took them one hour..................
Poor bike servicing experience. Very expensive at £50.00 per bike and little evidence of much done, with poor adjusted brakes and gear remaining. Seem to be more interested in taking the money than customer service. Overall, very disappointing.
For maintenance work, the staff were very helpful. After having to pick my bike up at the end of the day, they insisted that I drop my bike off with them in the morning so they could sort my gears out for no extra cost. Also reasonably priced.
Have used these guys a few times for my road bike and mountain bike. The positive stuff: Quick turnaround, the waiting time for work and services seems to be shorter than some other shops in the area. Maybe it's because some of these 1 star
Fantastic people! Took my bike to them literally just as they were closing, and within one minute they had fixed what was (for them) a simple problem with my brakes. Didn't charge me anything, just left a brillaint impression. Very friendly
Popped in to discuss buying a bike. Think I spoke to a guy called Ollie. Very friendly and knowledgable about the types of bikes they can get and the kind of thing that would suit me best for my needs. I'm now the proud owner of a new bike
I didn't have a good experience servicing my bike here last month. My bike hadn't been serviced for years and the brakes had a lot of travel, so I took it in. When I picked up the bike after the service, they didn't say anything about what
Took my bike in for a service a couple of weeks ago. Before taking it I mentioned 3 issues. The back wheel felt out of alignment, the lockout forks weren't locking properly and the front brake was juddering slightly. On taking it in I told
Needed a 2nd hand bike, they were very helpful, sorted me out with a great option, and economical new tyres too. I've been riding it around this afternoon, delivered drawings to a customer, it's perfect. They didn't want my 2 part xchange
2nd time to this shop and the last 1st time was a rubbish experience today was even worst bloke behind the till is one arrogant person,no customer service what so ever, sign on the door about wearing a face mask in the shop due to current
Excellent local, independent and reasonably priced bicycle shop that we've used as a family for years and they've never let us down. Went in at lunchtime today to buy some new bike lights. Great as ever. The man was very patient while I
Had an awful experience here where I was spoken to in an incredibly patronising tone by one of the male staff. Came back to pick up my bike and the front wheel was completely loose and spinning on itself (I could have seriously injured
Wife went in to buy a part for her bike and shop assistant looks at her bike and says "yeah....those tyres on your bike....they look totally worn out.....you need to buy new ones, and the tyres you have... well they have ZERO puncture
Rude staff, defensive and argumentative when I asked for a breakdown of costs for my repair. Insisted they had told me the prices and so I shouldn’t be complaining(I was not), even when it was my boyfriend who dropped it in, not me.
I rented a "hybrid" from this shop, that was almost brand new and in excellent condition, It was really what I would call a gravel bike, that was awesome for road and path riding in the surrounding Bristol areal. I found the staff
Apparently they don't do rentals and haven't since the beginning of the pandemic, but their website still lists it 2 years later. Opening hours are also completely off. Why even have a website if it isn't updated.
Most dependable bike shop in Bristol. Gave my bike a great service and replaced my drive train, good as new. Less than a month later got a puncture and it was fixed with the tired replaced in less than an hour.
Disappointing experience & very poor service I came here one week ago to repair my chain on my bike. Everything is still in working condition so I decided to replace just this part. I came with a bike and
Found these guys really accommodating and knowledgeable. The guys I met were enthusiastic about their craft and seemed genuinely interested in fixing problems, not just shop assistants looking for a sale.
Great service and great pricing, have bought many bikes from these guys over the years and it's always a bit cheaper than the competition. Any issues with parts wearing out have been swiftly dealt with.
Left feeling pretty humiliated. Clearly not the place to go for general bike issues. Some of the worst customer service I've come across, so very disappointed after having this place recommended to me.
A cyclescheme bike purchase was exceptionally efficient and easy. Local business, family run which for me added to attraction and makes excellent service understandable as well as likely to continue.
This is a really great bike shop.... they go out of their way to fit in running repairs if necessary and are conscientious to meet any deadlines. I always find them most welcoming and friendly.
Had my bike fully serviced within an hour. They even fixed a couple of things that aren't usually included in the service. Great price and lovely guys. Thanks so much, will be back again.
Visited the store for advice on bike / cycle accessories - sales staff were friendly - extremely proficient with knowledge of differences of products and how to use them correctly.
Disappointed that the tape on the inside of the wheel had been put on so badly it punctured the inner tube. Another Bristol bike shop has shown me where I've since had it repaired!
Rip off! Took my bike there since my breaks were not working. They said that the bike needed a whole new fitting of disc break despite it being brand new, they wanted to
Another good experience of BHC. Quality work at a reasonable price. Was kept informed of what needed done which I appreciated. Friendly staff and a much improved bike.
I am a supporter of local and small businesses, but I do NOT recommend this one. Extremely poor customer experience, and most disappointed by this small family
Terrible. They overshot the quote by a significant amount, ordered the incorrect part and didn’t fit it properly. Avoid at all costs and go to the trek shop.
Had broken spoke replaced on very short notice. Nice and polite customer service. Reasonable prices. All bill explained as well, can't fault. …
Left my Canondale here today for a service, the bike needed a lot doing as gears, chain and brakes were in a bad way (the bike is 14 years old).
Returned my wife's bike for after sales service. Staff where very helpful - especially in getting the cycle out of our car as we are over 70!!!
Brought a beautiful specialise stumpjumper 2018. Grate staff ( Olly ) an lovely family run Business. Would recommend to all friends and family.
A huge thanks to Blackboy Hill Cycles for always helping me out, never making me feel bad about the tiny jobs I can’t do myself.
Poor service, have taken my bike a few times there and they never seem to be able to fix it properly. Wouldn't recommend them
Pretty poor. Took Campagnolo bike for a service and only told me they couldn’t replace parts after charging me for service.
Had my bike serviced today and am really pleased. Friendly, helpful team, quick turn-around, and great value. Thank you ☺️
Very helpful staff and competitive prices! Rang a few shops to price up tyres - not only did they provide the best price
Took my bike here over a year ago - they totally ripped me off. Perhaps they’ve improved. Perhaps they haven’t.
Always had great service and good advice at this little bike shop - great value for money. Highly recommended.
Had a problem with my pedals - I dropped my bike in - it was a quick fix so they didn't charge me.
Great value bike servicing, reliable and fast turnaround. Recommended.
Friendly staff and great service fixed my bike within 24hrs
