Came with a quite sore tooth where the filling came out. I told the dentist a whole story about this damn tooth... about the unsuccessful root canals, treatments etc etc and that I don’t mind getting rid of it. But the dentist proposed we make a filling. So we did... $70. Sounded reasonable. The next day I had some mild pain- thought maybe it’s from the anaesthetic injections. But the following day that’s when the agony has started. So I went back, different dentist said we need an X-ray (another dollar spent) and she admitted that yes... it’s infected etc etc and better to remove it! Like that couldn’t be done at the first visit to save me pain and money?! So I got prescription for antibiotics and... booking one week later (with an infected, horribly painful tooth that recently been treated by same place). Went to the chemist and... they tell me that the prescription is written incorrectly... so I (AGAIN) go back to the dentist where a receptionist tells me without looking at the prescription that the chemist is wrong not them. WOW I think- me dealing with a receptionist with worst tooth ache ever... went back in tears to the chemist and the lady was so polite she actually gave me proper supply and instructions how to take my tablets. Two days later my face is swollen up, started to have vertigo and migraines. End up spending a lot of money for an emergency tooth removal where the new dentist did an X-ray and was surprised it hasn’t been done in the first place considering my story. So well done Blackwood dentist, I definitely won’t come back and won’t recommend you. Not only that you have neglected my primary issue but also costed me a lot of money, time and pain. And “we don’t keep copies of prescriptions we give to our clients” is an absolute lie from their receptionist. This is not how you take care of your patients when you make a mistake in the first place.

03/02/2021 Dr Ramzan Azis Our family has been seeing Dr Ramzan Azis at the Blackwood Family Care Clinic since approx 2007 & wouldn't go anywhere else. He's like the old type GP who actually listens & advises where needed. We have come to view Dr Azis (Ramz) as a very trusted & valued doctor & friend. He is extremely caring, kind, compassionate & knowledgeable. He also shares our wacky sense of humour.  Our motto has always been - If you have to be sick, you might as well be jovial, positive and make light about life's bumps. I have several complex & chronic illnesses & have to see Ramz very regularly for management & medications, but seeing Ramz is more like visiting an old friend rather than a doctor. Both my husband and I have also been diagnosed with cancer on three separate occasions and have found Ramz so caring & compassionate & has given us great support.  He has seen us through some very tough & difficult times & always been there ready to help & encourage us during those times, naturally always with a genuine smile. Thanks to everyone at this clinic who always go above & beyond to offer top quality Regards, Maryann & Harry Bruce.

Been a patient here for over 15 years. Since I was a baby! Silvana is a lovely receptionist and Dr Azis and Dr Lee are awesome doctors however the new receptionists are nothing but straight up rude. Bitter, uncaring and talk back. Not considerate or accomodating, even in matters of emergency. After multiple negative experiences, including waiting for 2+ hours on many occasions, and removing Telehealth as an alternative, our family and friends are all moving clinics to where we will feel most welcome. It is unfortunate as we had quite good relationships with these doctors but we cannot sacrifice our health anymore in times of urgent need for care and ongoing chronic conditions.

Previously a 5 star review from 4 years ago, but arrogant, officious and unfriendly staff who clearly find having to deal with patients (or perhaps other humans in general) irritating are making using this clinic a horrible experience. The previous review read as follows (sans mention of the previously good support staff): Small GP clinic with 3 doctors on rotation. Dr Azis is superb: knowledgeable, takes the time to listen, and seems to genuinely have the patient's well-being at heart. Premises could do with a bit of an update, but you're there to see a doctor, not be pampered in 5 star luxury.

Dr Azis is an amazing, old fashioned dr in the fact he takes time to listen to you. He treats you with the utmost respect, has superb medical knowledge and genuinely cares for his patients. He will support you through difficult times in your life and has an excellent knowledge of further community and allied healthcare teams. I cannot recommend him high enough. He has been my family’s GP since 2002 and my now grown up children still use him. Wouldn’t move anywhere else.

Being new to the area and needing a doctor fast for my daughter these guys were happy to fit me in last minute, unlike others I had called. I have never come across such a friendly medical receptionist. She was so helpful and nothing was too much for her. The Doctor was great with my child, very attentive and listened. Highly recommend these guys. Looks like a great work culture and team environment which is always important to see and feel comfortable with.

I've been a patient here for 20 years now and I've only encountered one receptionist/nurse who was worse than the current blonde thing they have right now. Silvana was the best thing about this place, making everyone feel welcome and safe when in a vulnerable situation. This thing has DISGUSTING bedside manner and should NOT be in Healthcare!!! So dissapointed how low the quality of staff has become!!

Excellent dentist at reasonable prices. The dentist is very experienced at his job and talks through what is happening. My wife has since been after my visit. She was shocked to find the same procedure at another long term dentist was around $700 for the same procedure which this dentist did for closer to $300. This is the first dentist I’ve met that hasn’t tried to rip me off.

Dr Yong is an excellent dentist, he went above and beyond to help with my sore tooth, the charge was minimal and the results are great. Lyn (the receptionist) is also wonderful, very accommodating and friendly with my kids. I highly recommend this practice, great family dentist, they are in it to help people not for the money.

Fantastic GPs with good, polite patient manner, humble and meticulous. Our family all appreciate their attention to detail, skilled care and follow up. Also specialists referred to were top level, and the owner is one of the most knowledgeable and connected people in the field.

Can't rate Dr Aziz at Blackwood Family Care more highly. Professional, encouraging and actively interested in his patients wellbeing, whilst also being a great laugh. I don't even live locally anymore, but wouldn't switch to another GP

I had the best experience at Blackwood Family Care, The staff are so friendly and always smiling, the waiting time was less then 10mins which is pretty good for a busy clinic, I will be recommending this clinic to family and friends.

The staff are welcoming, friendly and offer top-notch service. The doctors spend time with you & respect you. They ask you the important questions to provide wholistic care. You are not just a number, you are a valued client.

Initial session to see a GP as a new resident in town, I spent 60 min in the waiting room without even seeing the GP. Really poor communication and worse service
