Front-door staff made us very uncomfortable - we will not be returning. Me and two friends (all early 20’s women) bought tickets for the show here. We had never been here before and dont go out clubbing much. When we got there, the line was empty and a security guard checked our ID’s. He didnt say anything or motion us forward, so we wandered a couple feet to the next two people with scanners who we saw (assuming that they would scan our tickets). We walked towards the furthest person with a scanner because they were looking and smiling/welcoming us. All the sudden, the other staff person scanning who we walked past (again, by a foot or so) raised his voice at us and told us to turn around and and talk to him. He proceeded to make a comment along the lines of how we were “breaking the rules” which didn’t come off in a joking manner. Me and my friends were very off-put by this and didnt say anything after this because we were lowkey shocked once we realized he was being serious. Keep in mind that we were the only ones in line. This weirdly aggressive guy scans our tickets in silence and doesnt say anything after besides telling the hostess “three”. We walk forward to the hostess and she asks us if we were on the guest list. I tell her that the previous guy scanned our tickets so we should be good to go in, and she understood and finally motioned us down the steps into the club. As me and my friends finally walked down the steps excited to join the club, we hear the weirdly aggressive ticket scanning guy yell to the hostess behind us, “WERE THEY BEING RUDE TO YOU? THEY WERE BEING RUDE TO YOU, WEREN’T THEY?” Me and my friends realized that they must be talking about us three as no one else was in line, which made us feel very confused and creeped out. We ended up fast-walking into the club feeling unsafe and shook up because of how predatory and strange his behavior was. If you are a group of girls trying to have a fun/carefree night, I would not recommend going here. We ended up switching to Onyx because of the creepy vibes the guy gave us, which was a much better experience.

This is a great club with a lot of potential. However they are completely unprofessional in the VIP section. After a Padres win we went to Bloom to celebrate in the VIP section. I had gone before and had received an invitation since I own a downtown condo. We had 7 people. We sat in the VIP section and was looking at the menu. We told the server that we would decide on our order as soon as our friend returned from the bathroom. ( His first time there and he wanted to order the first bottle) We literally were there less than a minute when the bouncer came and kicked us out and told us we could decide on the dance floor. We were looking at the menu and were kicked out. Unbelievable!!! What was planned as a big celebration quickly turned into a really bad experience. My friends from Coronado were so turned off they left. We stayed and danced for a while because the dance floor environment was great. I would never return here for VIP and I’m sure my friends who came for their 1st time will never return.( this originally written in October) And owner responds 2 months after my initial review with complete lies claiming they remember us.Let the response of the owner tell you mentality and unprofessionalism of this place. As a Google Level 7 contributor , this is worst response ever.

It was a horrible experience. We had been inside for an hour and the employees forced us out in the rain despite us having shown them we had tickets to see bob moses. There was miscommunication between all the employees, some sent groups of people to the wrong lines, we stood in the rain just to get to the front of the line and be told to make the line on the other side of the building. No one told us the main event happened so late, we would have gone to our air bnb to get comfortable and came back. If we knew dress codes wouldn’t even be enforced. We are both disabled veterans who powered through 4 hours in uncomfortable footwear for a show we saved months to come see. We had the worst experience all in all. & didnt even get to see the main act because we were so achey and upset we left just after midnight and seeing still no bob moses. Every employee we spoke to had a horrible attitude like they didn’t want to be there, they all claimed they didn’t know anything, and I’m definitely sharing this experience with all our military and veteran friends out there to not visit bloom. None of the employees had any info on start times or could direct us to where to find it, some told us they played at 11p, miscommunication left and right.

This place is a scam. They let you get a guest list only for when you get at the door, they say it's not valid and you would have to pay for the ticket. For new years eve I signed up with 2 months in advance for guest list to see Bob Moses and they denied the ticket and was charging people $149 to get in. Not only me but a lot of people. Then they lied to people giving everyone a different reason why they were not accepting the tickets. The Asian guy at front door was extremely rude and was laughing at people who had the guest list ticket and paid for the ticket cuz they weren't allow us to go in. I have videos and prove of how he pushed a girl that was trying to talk to him. He shouldn't be working in a place like that if he is aggressive with customers or anyone. It was the worst experience at that club. Never doing it again.

I went last night and the bottle service girl CJ was so rude and had awful energy. She served everyone their first drink purposely skipping me and then ignored me when I asked for a drink. I stood right behind her waiting for her because she asked everyone else at the table. I didn’t want to interrupt what she was doing. I had asked her after that if she could make me a drink and she ignored me, so I asked again and she said ok then continued to make two other people’s drinks that were waiting after me and already had their first drink already. Then she handed it to them in front of me to be passive aggressive. I don’t understand why your bottle service girls aren’t friendly and welcoming and instead have attitude and weird energy.

Had an amazing night seeing pickle throwdown an amazing set supported by many very talented DJs. Great sound system and forward thinking interior design makes Bloom on of my favorite clubs to visit for a night out at the moment. Our bartender, Chris, was very friendly , courteous, and provided us with a level of hospitality not often seen these days in most clubs. I highly recommend this spot for an amazing night out if you are a lover of house music like myself.

I’m always a bit apprehensive when I go to a club for the first time and don’t know what to expect. Bloom completely blew me away and it might be one of my favorite clubs in the US Pros: - Friendly staff - Plenty of dance floor space - Well laid out - Good pumping sound - Clean bathrooms Cons: - None that I can really think of I really appreciate how the VIP tables aren’t smacked right in the middle of the floor which leaves plenty of room for people to dance!

Been every weekend since the reopening - and let me tell you - this is the new hotspot in San Diego! Beautiful interior that strikes a great balance of high class and laid back. *Great* DJ's, sound, and visual system in both rooms. And awesome staff - everyone from the security guards to the bartenders are super friendly. And for a club, it's not overpriced at all. This place is like Bang Bang and SideBar had a kid...but the kid's bigger and better!

mexican looking guy named Frankie (?) fairly young, he’s so sweet !!! Other than that I was roofied here so will not be returning + bottle service girls are always lovely + security is okay + some bartender was NOT. He has a goatee with cheek hair, middle eastern maybe (?) He can go to hell, he’s very unprofessional and called me and my girlfriends bad names 0/10 would not recommend ANYONE COME HERE

phone got stolen here. when i asked around, several other girls said their phones had been stolen as well. just saw the comment the other gal left about multiple people having theirs stolen as well so just wanted to make people aware. either too many bad people come in from the free entry they pass out in the street or it’s an inside job. be careful.

ALL of my stuff got stolen here. Several of my friends too. When I went to get replacement phone they informed me 8 other people and 7 other people the day before had all come in with the same story from the SAME CLUB. Possibly an inside job, as the management is not being even remotely helpful. Would never return here ever again as it is unsafe

Great remodel! No longer 18+ thank God! And when people are there it's a good crowd but they really need to bring in more big name DJs to bring in that crowd. We went couple weeks ago to an empty club, never seen that before all the guys were hitting on the only 2 girls in club . Stop making me go to Nova for the good DJs! …

After going to Bassmnt countless amount of times, they really did well with the remodel of the place. Same great friendly staff, insane redesigned lighting experiences, photo ops, not to mention the music and djs are top notch and they book local talent which is well respected. Would 5/5 recommend visiting this venue!

The employees and bartenders are super friendly. You know how most places the people work there seem like they don’t even enjoy the music or the environment. But not here. I had the bartender throwing in silly dance moves with me while serving. Also the music choice and talent booming so far has been amazing!

What can I say? Best club experience I’ve had. From the very start, Frankie welcomed me and my group with great energy and a positive attitude. Great atmosphere, great drinks. Definitely coming back again. Thank you Frankie.

The design of this venue is really well thought out, from entry to consumer experience, service, music, lights, massive dance floor with VIP Tables and services. Another mention worthy is the quality acts they bring into this city, This is definitely one of the best night clubs in San Diego!!!

Really really like the new update from what was previously bassmnt. It’s a lot brighter and nicer at the bar, lounge areas and restrooms. It feels more spacious and cleaner. Good selection of edm artists that regularly play here. drink and ticket prices weren’t bad at all.

Closes at 1:45am, NOT 2am. If you would like to use the bathroom be sure to do so around 1:30am or earlier because they will not let you on the way out at the end of the night. Okay club atmosphere.

Couple things about Bloom. It’s a beautiful night club, they did an awesome job on the LEDs and the decor. That being said, they pack the place way too much. Impossible to dance, or move, or walk. And bring earplugs, they run that sound system up the walls.

Second time I've been here and always had a good time dancing to EDM. They bring in pretty good artists, and I hope to see them bring more in soon! Definitely here for the dance vibes! The bartenders are great too!

This place was great! The epic entrance, Killer Sound system, and the LED walls were beyond awesome. I wasn’t expecting much since I remembered it as the old Bassmnt nightclub, but this is, without any doubts, the best club in San Diego right now.

I absolutely LOVE this venue! I’ve not only come here for multiple great nights but I’ve had the pleasure of playing here as well. Such great energy and vibes are immaculate all night long. Great production and great service all around!

Beautiful lounge area with comfy seating, really cool lights and decor, bartenders were pleasant, music was thumping with a pretty big dance floor, and drinks were reasonably priced (vodka soda for $14). Would definitely come back!

Great DJs and roomy vibe here, nice area to chill at the entrance bar if you need a break from the dance floor. The staff is always friendly and fun. Lots of local and international talent constantly rolling through this club.

Kyrie was in charge of my bottle service when I visited! She was absolutely incredible. She my group and I feel like the most important people in the room. Bloom is a fun place to go and I love the updates and the bathrooms.

Horrendous service from this venue. Paid $10 for coat service only to have them lose my $400 Northface and then ignore all my attempts to retrieve. Don’t ever go there.

Invited to join a VIP table on the dance floor and had the best time. This place is brand new with amazing LED Screens and Lighting. Great looking crowd dancing to House Music by nationally known DJ’s.

Amazing venue, I have visited this venue in the past and let me tell they will paid attention to detail on the remodel. The LED walls the sound system everything is new! Can’t wait to visit again!

Always enjoy heading over to this venue. It’s new, beautiful and always a lot of fun. Music is always killer, and my favorite bartender Rudy, is there making sure I always have a drink in my hand.
