Just took a taxi from the Ottawa airport to the Fairfield Inn and Suites. I'm a female and I'm not comfortable using Uber. I just spent a long day traveling which included a 4 hour drive to the airport in Calgary. I expected a courteous and pleasant ride to the hotel. Instead, my driver in car #385 spent the few minutes to the hotel explaining that the airport gets $6.50 and he's basically "working for nothing" because of the short fare. Despite being rude I decided before we stopped that I'd give him a good tip of $10 to make it worth his trip. By the time we pulled up he made other offhand comments and I decided to reduce the tip to $5. On a $8.48 fare that's over a 50% tip. After we pulled up to the hotel the driver just sat there and I had to ask "how do I pay?" His response was "you don't have cash?" I didn't so he grumbled as he plugged in the machine for a credit card. I paid, the machine showed an "accepted" check mark and I got out to unload my own bag. As I was unloading my own bag he kept mumbling how he didn't get paid. He did get paid, attached to my email to the company is a screenshot of the payment. Instead, the printer on his machine jammed. I stood beside his car for several minutes as he tried to fix the printer paper. I offered to show him the payment on my phone, he didn't want to look at it. I waited longer. He eventually waived me off saying again that he didn't get paid and how it wasn't even "worth it". I've never experience this in a taxi before, anywhere, let alone in Ottawa. I actually had to respond to him that he didn't have to accept the fare after I told him where I was going. I'm not someone to write a company to complain and I appreciate everyone who works in the taxi and all service industries. This behavior, however, was completely unacceptable, rude, and uncalled for. If the company doesn't want to service the airport hotels then a minimum fare policy should be created. Or, your drivers should not accept a fare if they don't think it's "worth it". Regardless, such poor customer service.

This company, their taxis and the management don't even deserve a one star. As a tourist in Ottawa, I ended up lost somewhere near the Parliament and took a cab to drive me back. Upon paying, the driver (n 397) insisted that he will not be taking coins but rather a large bill, which I gave him. Without giving me the change he just said goodbye. I then understood that he only wanted the large bill to keep the change and when I asked for that change, he insulted me and asked me to leave right away, without even giving me my receipt. I sent an email and called (I actually need that receipt for my job) and only received an automated answer from Thomas Hodges ; and it goes without saying that they only answer the phone one in while. Meanwhile BlueLine taxi drivers are shamelessly scamming their passengers by not even asking if their passengers need their change and with the complicity of their management. What is more, it seems they are clearly evading due taxes (otherwise why would the driver not give me my receipt?)

Ordered a cab for 4:20 am and needed a large one for 3 adults, 2 kids and luggage. A Rav 4 showed up (cab plate 404) which would have fit all of us. The driver insisted he needed to call "his friend" to come take all of the people and most of the luggage which ended up being a much smaller Camry. Driver 404 put two pieces of luggage in his Rav 4 and the rest of us crammed into the Camry and we all took off for the airport. When we got to the airport, I find out that cab 404 picked up a second fare on his way and then had the nerve to try and charge us $10 over our meter fare in the Camry for the second cab. It's junk like this that prompted people to start companies like Uber and Lyft. And then the cab companies have the nerve to try and block ride sharing because it will hurt their industry. Stop scamming your customers and treat them with respect.

Noticed missing phone and immediately called from friend's phone (had receipt with driver ID) to notify them of cellphone left behind, which went to voicemail. Persistently followed-up in writing (via email to all available contacts listed on website) and by phone with no response. Find My iPhone revealed it was with driver, but now days later it appears to have been taken/stolen. Given this was a government-issued/work device, the implications and severity of matter are even greater.

In the past month I have been flying a lot. I used Blue line taxi twice to get to the airport and both times I had a great experience. This morning I pre booked a taxi at 4:45 am for a pick up downtown to the Ottawa airport. Ottawa had many road closures due to president Biden’s visit to Ottawa but my cab arrived right on time and dropped me off right on time without any delays. My driver Paul was excellent. He helped me with my suitcase, he was professional but friendly and he was an excellent driver. His car was clean, spacious and brand new. I take blue line taxi because they are 100% reliable unlike Uber here in Ottawa that charges way more than cabs and never shows up ontime. Thank you Blueline taxi and Paul for your excellent services.

I wish it was possible to rate the drivers instead of the company itself. I take the taxi all the time with Blueline and the quality of service varies so much. Most of the time, I get chill taxi drivers that are friendly, but there are a few out there that are bringing down the rating of this company for a reason. You do not scream at your customers, ever! Some of these drivers should learn how to calm down and act professionally, it is impacting the whole image of this company, and taxis in general. For all those who are professional and friendly, thank you Blueline, keep an eye out for your drivers that harass your customers, it is unacceptable and definitely not good for business.

I was picked up at the airport. On the drive I let the driver know that my Dad did not know I was coming in to surprise him for his birthday. In fact on the way to catch my flight I called my dad and apologised for not mailing his birthday card. I asked the driver, Nega, if was up to helping with the surprise. He was game, he rang the doorbell, mom told dad that she was busy prepping and could he answer. When he did, Nega looked at the card in his hand and said: "I have a special delivery for Mr...." "That's me" He handed dad the card then I stepped out from around the corner. I really appreciate the help from this driver and the service of this company. thank you

Cabs are always available, come quickly, and importantly know where it is you want to go. There are a number of taxi stands around so once I figured where those were I just used those instead of calling. Cabbies were also friendly but too much so, 2 am coming off a long flight is not a time I want to chat much. They all knew quite a bit about the city or my destination. I did find though that a number of the cabs needed some cleaning inside, both the seats and the inside of the windows. The cab I took from the airport really needed to be cleaned, not the best look when first arriving in the city for visitors.

I took a taxi with my fiancé from the fallowfield train station to home. We did not call, there was a taxi cab waiting in the designated area, and he was available so we took a drive with him. He was very friendly, and helped load our luggage into the cars clean trunk. Our trip was safe. The cab driver signalled at every turn, was nice on the brakes and on acceleration. It was evident that we had a good driver transporting us. We talked a bit with the driver, otherwise the trip was fairly quiet, but not awkward. I will call blue line again when I need a taxi. Had to get a cab for my friend but their website crashed in the middle of the booking. I did not get any confirmation or anything so I figured it didn’t go through. We booked an Uber and while my friend was waiting for it the cab driver starts harassing my friend and yelling at her that he drove 2km to pick her up. How were we supposed to know that without any confirmation whatsoever? Not only was this incredibly unprofessional, it was also 4 in the morning and my friend is a woman getting yelled at by this random man she doesn’t know! No wonder everyone prefers Uber these days.

I tried this service several times. The first time the taxi marked me as picked up but didn’t. I called the company to cancel the trip and I asked if I would get charged. They said no. Then they charged me. I called twice after that. Both times they ended the call abruptly. The next time I booked through the App and had an overall nice trip. When we arrived the driver told us not to “waste [his] time” by pre-booking short trips. Next time, 3 drivers canceled the trip. Finally, today they canceled my wife’s trip while being a block away. So I decided to leave a review.

I have used the Blue Line app for lots of trips and found it convenient. However, tonight I was left waiting for a cab that never arrived and was charged for three times the amount of the trip I would have taken. Someone else must have taken my cab, the driver did not bother to check, and I guess he wasn't concerned that they were driving to another address three times the distance of the address booked. I can't trust the app anymore. I am trying to resolve the issue with Blue Line, but can't connect with any human being who can deal with the issue.

We waited 54 minutes on a hot afternoon for a cab that NEVER showed up. Driver called and said “I am here, where you”? He was not there but at wrong location. They kept saying when I phoned for update driver would arrive in 5/10 minutes. After 54 minutes we have up and walked a 25 minute walk back to our hotel. Absolute worst cab service I have ever had. Even in bustling capitals in Europe. Worst city cab I have ever experienced. Take my advice and book another cab company in Ottawa, or take an Uber.

I have been using Uber and wanted to try using taxi service to go to the airport. The driver didn’t take the shortest route but didn’t make a turn on Upland. I asked him why, he apologized that he was distracted talking to me. He then drove the wrong way using the Airport parkway exit and fortunately there was no accident. He also claimed that Airport parkway route is only a couple dollars more pretending I am new to Ottawa. Anyway, it’s a failed experiment and will not order Blue Line again.

I've only had negative experiences with this company, both in group settings and alone. Anywhere from being yelled to being inappropriately touched. Also, I have been really disappointed when seeing Blue Line taxis on the road. Ones I see were speeding, tailgating other cars, and/or weaving in and out of traffic without any consideration for safety. Overall, I've never felt comfortable or safe while using Blue Line and strongly advise using Uber! Cheaper and safer!

Preordered cab to go to airport. No one arrived. Called dispatch “he was on his way” but app was not showing movement. Called back another dispatch. Now 20 mins late. App still not moving. Driver not answering. She said the driver is on his way and is 10 mins away. Short story, she LIED.Told me Buddy had to switch cars. Truth is he is home sleeping and could t be reached. Never again. Uber will always be our choice. Cancelled. Late to airport. Thanks blueline.

Was in Ottawa over the weekend and used Blue Line Taxi for our transportation when needed. We only had three trips total and all three rides were exceptional. The drivers were all friendly, the cars were immaculate, and trips were enjoyable, especially through downtown Ottawa where the traffic is brutal. We barely had to wait for cars, 10 minutes tops, I always spoke to a dispatcher, very friendly every time. I highly recommend this company.

Call to reserved an accessible taxi at around 19:30 hrs last night operating confirmed taxi for electric wheelchair a 0700 hrs today. This morning they send the wrong type of vehicle ,I have been waiting for over 2 hrs now and still no sign of the replacing vehicle. I used to take Blue Line taxi before I got a car. I have been using them for 5 years now. I don't really have many complaints, some people might say it's expensive. I like that they are usually on time, cars are clean and drivers are polite. The last taxi driver started a conversation, he was so funny. It was as though we had known each other for a long time. Had a great experience with this company.

Ordered a taxi tonight to get home after a long day at work and the disgusting smell of smoke was suffocating in the car. Coughed all the way during my 15 min ride home (car #116). I mean in the age that you need to be competitive and offer extraordinary service over other ride sharing services to gain customers, you guys are definitely loosing the battle.

We didn’t order a taxi, yet, the driver (Dino) decided to spam our doorbell at 3am. When no one answered the door he decided it would be a great idea to wake everyone in the house up just so he could ask my roommate about her ethnicity. I work early and so does my roommate. This is completely unacceptable. This driver showed terrible professionalism.

If you can't get an uber or Lyft account for some reason then Blue Line is the old school alternative. Major downside is they can't compete with the lower fares that the ride share companies offer. I called them from my phone for a friend who needed a taxi because he didn't have the option to use Uber or Lyft due to the lack of having a credit card.

A bit of a delayed review. But prior to Christmas last year, we were headed to Cuba.. The ride came in the early hours and the taxi driver got impatient and started honking like a lunatic waking up the entire condo. I would use the service again if I have to but would not reccomend them for discrete , early pickups if you care about neighbours

They are the worst. Prebooked a taxi 2 days in advance and it never showed up. Call the number and they said the prepaiment hadn’t been done (but I received the receipt via mail). At first they said a taxi would arrive in 5 10 minutes, after 20 it didn’t, call again and this time they said they couldn’t send a car quickly. Totally incompetent.

From the airport to my place in Aylmer, the man said it would be 50$ but he charged me 71.28$ and made sure to use side roads with bumps so he had to slow down a lot - (no traffic in Aylmer around 9am). I called to schedule a pickup, but no matter how carefully I enunciated, their automated system couldn't recognize my address. After giving up on that, I pressed zero to be transferred to a human and got hung up on. Giving 1 star, since being able to dispatch a taxi is essential if you want to run a taxi service.

They charged me twice by mistake and the company customer services did not wanted to reimburse me even if I had the proof that I had been charged twice on my credit card. I had to go to by-law to get it fixed which took months. I recommend to travel by other means or with other companies.

Horrible for retrieving lost items. You get better service with Uber and Oc Transpo. They said they would call back never did. Had to wait a day and now I have to pay. Wouldn't have happened with the other two companies. Horrible customer service and no apologies given.

Took a ride with them to the airport. The driver took unnecessary detours twice, and I was charged 20% extra comparing to their quote… plus the driver didn’t turn on AC, making the car felt like a sauna room. 4 stars for them showing up and finishing the trip.

Some of the drivers act as if everyone else on the road is simply in their way—perhaps they need to be reminded that they not only have to account for the safety and comfort of their passengers, but how they represent the company. I’ll take Uber in the future.

I do t know why we ever went to Uber. If you have an early flight and need to leave for the airport at 5am - do yourself a favor and call a taxi. Uber will not show up - besides that. They are often more expensive than a taxi. This company was excellent.
